Highlights of the Mikey Whipwreck vs. Steve Austin vs. Sandman triangle match for the ECW Championship air, as well as a reminder about a wrist injury the Sandman suffered during the match. Joey Styles hypes the Sandman’s next three title defenses. On December 28th Hardcore TV, the Sandman faces Cactus Jack. The next night in Queens, Sandman will face Steve Austin and at House Party ’96 on January 5, the Sandman will face Konnan. Gary Albright vs. The Dudley Family Gary continually Germans the Dudleys across the ring, notably throwing Chubby Dudley straight out of the ring onto his neck, before knocking out Sign Guy with a spinning back hand fist and getting the TKO victory. Winner: Gary Albright Steve Austin admits that not being able to win the ECW Championship has shaken his confidence. However, he regains his composure during the promo, vowing not to beg to go back to WCW because he knows he is the best wrestler in ECW. A replay of Taz getting in Joey Styles face on Hardcore TV several weeks ago airs. Taz w/Bill Alfonso vs. Don E. Allen Alfonso lays in a stiff slap before the match and when Allen tries to do something about it. Alfonso bullys Don E. throughout the match until Taz chokes him out. Winner: Taz Alfonso puts 911, Sabu, and other ECW talents on notice. When the crowd chants for Sabu, Taz tells them that Sabu does not care about them because Sabu is in Japan. The Heavenly Bodies talk about how they are tied of hearing about the Public Enemy. Raven tells the Enemy that the Bodies are two more disciples that will wipe out more of Tommy Dreamer’s friends. Styles hypes a hardcore death match between Sabu and Cactus Jack that will take place in Queens on December 29. A video package revists Sabu and Jack’s feud a year earlier. Rocco Rock, Johnny Grunge and Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven and Heavenly Bodies w/Beulah McGillicutty Enemy start a garbage brawl around the arena, throwing trash can lids at Beulah. Del Ray carries the brawling for his side, fighting with Grunge in the crowd and putting Rocco Rock through a table. Dreamer recovers enough to trip up Raven when he tries to DDT Rock. Prichard rolls out of a moonsault from Grunge but then Rock clotheslines Prichard, who Grunge rolls up to win. Winner: Rocco Rock, Johnny Grunge and Tommy Dreamer Paul E. Goldust is shown admiring Ramon when the Bad Guy walks to the ring, having brought out a director’s chair to place by the entrance before the pay-per-view went on the air. Razor Ramon & Marty Jannetty vs. Million Dollar Corporation (1-2-3 Kid & Sid) w/Ted DiBiase Million Dollar Corporation start a brawl around the ringside area with Razor and Marty. Razor recovers and hits a huge back body drop on 1-2-3. Sid rolls into the ring but runs into a superkick from Marty. Stunned Sid gets hit with the Razors Edge for the three. Winner: Razor Ramon & Marty Jannetty After the match, Ramon tries to give the Kid a Razor’s Edge but Sid pulls his friend off of Ramon’s shoulders. WWF World Tag Team Championship: Tenryu & Tanaka© vs. Billy Gunn & Bob Holly w/Bart Gunn Tanaka Germans Holly across and eventually out of the ring, before Tenryu lariats Bart Gunn on the outside. Tanaka picks up the win with a spinning forearm smash on Bob for the three count. Winner: Tenryu & Tanaka Lawler walks into the ring to announce the return of Jeff Jarrett to the WWF. Lawler presents Jarrett with a gold CD for selling more than 500,000 copies of “With My Baby Tonight.” Jarrett talks about going on a new tour to promote his new album “Greater than Great” and tosses his name into the Royal Rumble. The next match is supposed to be Ahmed Johnson against Dean Douglas, but Douglas says that his doctors will not let him wrestle due to back problems. As a result, Douglas introduces a new graduate student, former Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Buddy Landel! Ahmed Johnson vs. Buddy Landel w/Dean Douglas Landel does his best to keep Ahmed grounded until Johnson comes out with a huge spinebuster, which brings Douglas into the ring, who gets clotheslined, causing Johnson to be distracted. However Landel couldnt secure the roll up and gets with the the Pearl River Plunge. Winner: Ahmed Johnson A fter the bell, Lawler interviews Ahmed. Lawler, along with Jarrett, make fun on Ahmed until Johnson gets in Lawler’s face. That allows Jarrett to smash his gold CD display over Ahmed’s head and hit him several times with a chair. Pettengill interviews Razor Ramon, who is given a gold envelope and he reads the contents, which he is not pleased with. "I Respect You" match with Roddy Piper as special guest referee: Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Waylon Mercy The two have a good brawl inside the ring akin to a hockey fight. Helmsley’s back gets cut up after being whipped into a metal door and eating a stalling piledriver on the arena floor. However, Waylen makes a blind diving elbow towards Hunter on a table on the outside. However HHH gets out of the way, he picks up a camera cabel and chokes Waylon until he tells Helmsley he respects him. Winner: Hunter Hearst Helmsley After the match, Helmsley gets into a shoving match with Roddy Piper and that leads to Waylon slamming Helmsley with a chair. Alundra Blayze vs. Aja Kong vs. Tomoko Watanabe Blayze suplexes Kong and Tomoko one after another, but Kong respond by throwing her out of the ring and onto her neck. Watanabe hits a big moonsault onto Aja and Alundra on the outside. Blayze gets back up, but finds a spinning back fist from Kong. Watanabe almost gets the three count after a dragon screw but Blayze breaks up the pin, she then hits Tomoko with a german for the three. Winner: Alundra Blayze A video package hypes the Diesel-Owen Hart match. Owen Hart w/Jim Cornette vs. Diesel Diesel overcomes some quick leg work and brutalizes the King of Hearts until he refuses to listen to the referee’s instructions to stop Jackknifing Owen and gets himself disqualified. Winner: Owen Hart via DQ A video package puts over the Undertaker-King Mabel feud. Casket Match: The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer vs. King Mabel w/Sir Mo Mabel wastes no time hitting the belly-to-belly suplex and using his size with a huge splash and leg drop. However, he takes too long to close the casket and the Undertaker rallies out of it, he grabs Mabel by the throat chokelams him and pushes him into the casket. Taker even tosses Mo in the casket for good measure to get the urn back, killing two birds with one stone. Winner: The Undertaker Jim Ross interviews the British Bulldog, Jim Cornette, and Diana Smith. Cornette says that the Bulldog stole the respect of Stu Hart when he beat Bret Hart at SummerSlam ’92 and the Bulldog vows that history is going to repeat itself tonight. Pettengill interviews WWF Champion Bret Hart, who vows revenge for 1992. WWF World Heavyweight Championship: Bret Hart vs. Davey Boy Smith w/Jim Cornette The opening moments of the match move slowly with the two wrestlers feeling each other out, Bulldog keeps spamming chinlocks and headlocks, until Bret manages to get things back on track when he goes on offense brawling with Davey around the ringside area. However he is sent head-first into the steps, opening a gusher that it goes all over the ringside mats and cakes the Bulldog’s tights. Bulldog gets a visual victory by powerslamming Bret on the arena floor but Bret outwits him in the ring, rolling up the Bulldog with a La Magistral cradle to win his first title defense. Winner: Bret Hart The Undertaker comes out to stare down Bret, Diesel is not happy saying that he deserves to be the number one contender.
