Prepping for TEW 07 - Training Camps

In anticipation of TEW 07 coming out, I'm collecting real world dojos, training schools & camps to be included in the update. These should not be schools that are tied into a specific federation, as the "graduates" of the schools go directly into the free-agent pool. From the developer diary:
Each one has a name, location, and a rating on how highly respected they are.
So I'm asking for your help in creating a list. Since the game isn't out yet, I'm not sure how many will be included in the final product, but don't be afraid to put in this thread - especially camps from Europe, Japan & Mexico! Also, any input on the "respect" factor would be helpful. I'm using 1-100 scale for this list, as I feel that should be enough to create a list using whatever scale Adam will use in the game for the schools. To determine the respect factor, I looked at the trainers and graduates of that school and if I had heard of them before. :) I'll try to list thing them in this format: School - Location - Respect (1-100) The list so far: USA: Funking Conservatory - Florida - 95 Wild Samoan Training Center - Pennsylvania - 90 The Monster Factory - New Jersey - 90 Johnny Rodz' House of Hard Knocks - New Yok - 75 WWA4 - Georgia - 70 Harley Race Wrestling Academy - Missouri - 70 Chaotic Training Center - Massachussets - 65 Midwest Pro Wrestling - Minnesota - 55 Ultimate University - California - 50 CZW/Chikara Wrestle Factory - Pennsylvania - 45 NJPW/Inoki Dojo Los Angeles - California - 45 Steve Keirn's School of Hardknocks - Florida - 40 Booker T's Pro Wrestling Academy - Texas -40 Texas Wrestling Academy - Texas - 40 APW Boot Camp - California - 40 NYWC Training Center - New York - 30 Top Rope Pro Wrestling Academy - New Hampshire - 10 EWA Pain Factory - Maryland - 10 Canada: Can Am Wrestling School - Ontario - 85 Storm Wrestling Academy - Alberta - 75 ECCW In-Pain Asylum - British Columbia - 50 Squared Circle Training - Ontario - 30 NWA Torture Chamber - Quebec - 25 Mexico: Ultimo Dragon Gym - Mexico - 50 (Anybody have a URL?) bobinc: Thanks for the link, but I think a bunch of them are no longer around. I'll check 'em all out though. As far as Killer Kowalski's school - it is now part of the Chaotic Training Center. NickC13573: Thanks for the link, I found MPW's web page and I'm wondering if they are mainly a school or mainly a fed that does some training. Do you have any more information about them?

If Killer's school is open, I can't see it being any less than 100 in respect, given who he's produced. I can think of a few other schools that should be added, though respect levels will probably be largely subjective: Texas Wrestling Academy - San Antonio, TX (formerly run by Shawn Michaels and now run solely by Rudy Boy Gonzalez) Squared Circle Training - Toronto?, Canada (run by Rob Fuego, heavily lucha based style) Wild Samoan Training Center - run by Afa APW Boot Camp - which IS NOT a feeder for APW ala OVW and WWE, based in Hayward, California I've heard Mikey Whipwreck has a school here but I haven't checked it out. Also, there's a wrestling school based out of Gleason's Gym here in Brooklyn that's run by Johnny Rodz. I'll edit the name in when I get it. Johnny Rodz's school should be in the 70s, if not the 80s, in respect.

WWA4 out of Atlanta. It was formerly the Power Plant for WCW. But now its operates solely on its own. It is however still owned by the same guy. Mr. Hughes is the trainer. The rating should be a bit lower these days now thats its not apart of the WCW. But it has helped train a few WWE develpoment talents in the last couple of years. Tranisha(DSW)-Now released and working in Japan. Jennifer Mae(OVW) Heath Miller(DSW) And they just had another guy signed to DSW. And you should add Harley Race's school. He works with WWE, NOAH, and ROH.

Midwest Pro Wrestling was a fed that just did training until about the end of 04, then they lost their #1 money person. Then they began just being a school that ran monthly events booked by Eddie Sharkey. However, about 3 to 4 months ago they stopped running Monthly events and just train. They have produced, not a whole lot of WWE; but Arik Cannon, the Northstar Express, I know whenever WWE is in town SHelton Ben-JOB-man trains there to help, Delirious has trained there, as well as AJ Styles (who has both taught and gone to some training sessions.)

Thanks for the updates everyone. I've changed my mind on Killer Kowalski's school. I was assuming that it was just part of Chaotic Training, but it is just sharing facilities, so now I consider them two seperate organizations. I'm concerned about the respect rankings - am I over/under estimating any of them? I would hope to have a list of varying "qualities" of schools across all the areas.
Not sure if it is with any feds Can-Am Wrestling School -Ontario- 85
AND
Scott D'Amore's Can-Am Wrestling School in Windsor, Canada. Respect level I'd say around 80-85, considering it is one of the best schools out there today.
After further review, I would have to agree. I've changed the list accordingly.

Their most famous graduate is probably Matt Hyson (aka Spike Dudley) along with Cheerleader Melissa but their most infamous graduate would undoubtedly be Dalip Singh (aka The Great Khali), for which they paid dearly. I would guess a wrestling school would lose respect for graduating a person who couldn't wrestle his way out of a wet paper bag with a hole slit in it. ;)

I've added three Japanese dojos, but I need help with the respect levels on them. I'm also wondering - what's the state of Toryumon/Ultimo Dragon's Gym/El Dorado/Dragon Gate/... Is there still a training portion of any of it? Also - New Japan Dojo. Is it a feeder for New Japan, or do graduates usually go all over the place? Thanks for the input so far!

They did however graduate Mark Henry. And that takes out the Power Plant for graduating Goldberg.
Also - New Japan Dojo. Is it a feeder for New Japan, or do graduates usually go all over the place?
Which New Japan dojo are you referring to? There's one in California (Santa Monica, I believe) that trains folks regardless of affiliation. I know Dru Onyx has trained there in the past and he doesn't work for New Japan (and never has). But as far as I know, a traditional Japanese dojo is like the barracks for a military unit. You don't generally come and go like with Western wrestling schools. You live at the dojo, work at the dojo, and work for the promotion that owns/sponsors the dojo. One school I was looking for but couldn't find (due to its name being changed) was LuFisto & Dru Onyx's Torture Chamber, which is now the NWA Torture Chamber, based out of Quebec. I'd put them somewhere around 25-30 respect as they haven't graduated anyone famous or particularly promising yet. Oh, and Johnny Rodz's school is called "Johnny Rodz' House of Hard Knocks" and it is run out of Gleason's.

Thanks for the input so far!
First of all Ultimo Dragons Gym has nothing to do with Dragon Gate/Toryumon anymore hasn't for a few years (pretty much sicne the Toryumon guys left to form Dragon Gate. Not sure how the Dragon Gate system works though they do have one. Ultimo Dragon still has his Ultimo Dragon Gym in Mexico I think and he is opening one in Toronto, Canada with the promotion UWA. Head to http://dgusa.puroresufan.com/ and contact them for more info on their dojo/training system. The New Japan Dojo feeds right into New Japan Pro Wrestling and no wheres else. The Dojo in LA didn't sent guys straight to NJPW mainly becasue it was actually the Inoki Dojo not New Japan, though it eventually changed it's name to NJ LA Dojo I think. Alot of the workers do wrestle in NJPW but not all, probably not even half. Also last I heard NJPW was closing it down, or getting rid of it's affiliation. Also the NJPW Dojo is exactly that a Dojo, where as the LA Dojo is more of a small promotion with many of it's stars already having indy experience (Like Rocky Romero and Ricky Reyes) adn put on there own shows and have titles and such. Where as the NJ Dojo is mostly guys brand new to Pro Wrestling. The NJ Dojo should probably have 100 in respect, next to the Dungeon and Killers, and Funks I doubt there is a training facility with anywheres near the respect it has.

I'm not sure if it's open still, but I believe it's called the Dog Pound Dojo. I'm not sure who the owner is, but the the trainer was Homicide. It's held in New Jersey I believe. Jay Lethal, Azrieal, Grim Reefer, KC Negro, and other JAPW wrestlers were trained there. They aren't associated with JAPW though.

His most famous graduate would probably be Low-Ki (aka Senshi) on the male side and Valentina and (I think) Becky Bayless on the female side. They're not a feeder for JAPW but, given Homicide's stroke with that promotion, many graduates seem to naturally flow there (much like APW's Boot Camp and APW). It's the same situation with Ultimate University and UPW. But the point is moot since the school closed down like 3 years ago or something. I'm trying to find a link for the Fabulous Moolah's school. I know it's still open and with her stroke with the 'E, many of her graduates seem to get a leg up with regard to hooking up with DSW or OVW (last I heard, Moolah and Mae were pseudo-scouts for WWE).

With all the prestiage levels so high, its going to be so simple to get good guys out of the camp, lower all the levels. There is no wrestling school with 100. Thats like higher then the WWE. If you talk to the casual fan about a wrestling school, how many do you think they will be able to name? None? I wouldn't be able to name any if it wasn't for the internet. The highest one should probably be about a 70-80 and probably be Scott D'Amores. But whatever, do what you want and I'll just edit it later.
