Well I guess that means The Hart Family Dungeon doesn't have much respect. They did however graduate Mark Henry.
See, we all ignore that, the other guys they've graduated have pretty much ensured the Hart Dungeon will retain it's legendary status among the wrestlers, regardless of guys like Mark Henry.
With all the prestiage levels so high, its going to be so simple to get good guys out of the camp, lower all the levels. There is no wrestling school with 100. Thats like higher then the WWE. If you talk to the casual fan about a wrestling school, how many do you think they will be able to name? None? I wouldn't be able to name any if it wasn't for the internet. The highest one should probably be about a 70-80 and probably be Scott D'Amores. But whatever, do what you want and I'll just edit it later.
I probably didn't make myself clear earlier. Sorry about that. These numbers are just so we can rank the schools amongst themselves. Whenever we get the actual game the "repsect" ranking will be adjusted to fit the game. It is my understanding that the schools are seperate from the federations. So comparing the schools' respect to the actual federations' may be like comparing apples and steaks. Whenever TEW 07 is released, I will do a lot of testing with this data as well to make sure that the free agents aren't out of whack.
Came across Elite Pro Wrestling Training run by Harley Race and Les Thatcher. www.epwt.com
I'll have dig into this one. It doesn't seem to be an actual school - more like a series of workshops. Any opinions on this one folks?

Wrestling schools do nothing but train people in the basics of working a wrestling match. They can't teach charisma or mic skills or anything like that. A respected wrestling school produces workers who are fundamentally sound in the ring and can work a wrestling match without undue harm done to themselves or their opponent. How that compares to WWE (which does not train workers off the street), is beyond me. I'd be inclined to agree with bobinc, which is no slight to Bruce and the others still running the Dungeon. But until the mystique wears off, you'd probably have to rate the Dungeon pretty highly given who they've produced (Mark Henry notwithstanding). I'm also trying to find info on whether Mariko Yoshida has an official school or just trains folks in conjunction with Ibuki (and ARSION before that).
Storm Wrestling Academy - Calgary Alberta, Canada (Lance Storm Run) - 75 (since it is still a new camp)
I would make that one higher than 75. Yes, it is a new camp, but Bret Hart hand picked Storm Wrestling Academy to train his son. I think it should be at least 80.

I think the Dungeon is permanently closed. It was in the basement of the house and the house is being torn down to make room for condos. On the Lance Storm school subject, I dont think it should be really high. The school hasn't produced anybody yet. Bret sent his son there out of his respect to Storm himself. It remains to be seen if it will be a good school or not. The same would have been said about Dean Malenko's school a few years back. But the only wrestler I know of that came out of there is Chad Collyer, and he hasn't went too far. Then there was "Shawn Michaels School," which would of had a high grade based on his name. But when the students showed up they realized Michaels wasn't the trainer, but it was Rudy Boy Gonzalez. No one has come out of there since the first class(which Michaels did help train). On an extra note...You need to add Booker T and Stevie Rays school. Although Stevie Ray would have to be considered the real trainer and Booker T a guest trainer. Marty "The Boogey Man" Wright is being trained there now as well as that actor guy the WWE just hired.

But whatever, do what you want and I'll just edit it later.
I think you may be confusing these numbers for the training schools. These aren't so much as prestige ratings as effectiveness rating. The ratings represent how good the school is at training and in game will effect how good the new people (being generated) coming out of it are, NOT how well known it is or how popular. So it doesn't matter if no one knows about a training facility if good wrestlers have come out of it then it gets a high rating so in game the wrestlers being trained (read generated there) get the proper stats. And you said "its going to be so simple to get good guys out of the camp, lower all the levels" how do you know? Did you get a sneak preview version of the game? Maybe a school with 100 in game actually only produces guys with a high D rating. But as Croc said these numbers are only to judge where they will end up i.e. which order they should be ranked in like Funks better then Storms or what have you. So far I don't think anyone even knows what kind of rating system is in place. Could be 0-100 scale could also be a Great, Good, Average, Poor, Terrible choice and not even have a number associated with it. And Scott D'Amores the highest? Got to be kidding me. I love Scott D'Amore and all his boys he's had through there and I have mad respect for him. But his trainees are hardly the best adn if you use your criteria of people knowing of it it would probably be even lower then places like the Funks, they used to mention that place all the time on WWE TV. Christ Terry used to wear the shirt to the ring.
putting this out there, but DSW (Deep South Wrestling) could almost be considered a training camp. Hasn't the WWE mostly abandoned it and I think they also pulled any of the higher wrestlers that were there to OVW. I may be wrong though.
Yep, youre wrong..;) Freakin Deacon is back after his short stint as Fake Kane. He and DeMott are feuding with The Gymini from Smackdown. Derrick Neikirk, Ryan O'Reilly and Eric Perez are all working house shows with ECW. Angel Williams is expected on Smackdown real soon and Stephanie MacMahon's Next Next Big Thing Daniel Rodimer is stinking up the joint until he gets his Brock Lesnar push. And The Funkin Conservatorys ranking or what not would be alot less than it was a few years back. It used to be the top place for WWE to send young workers for additional training. But a couple years back all the students left and went to different schools because the WWE stopped using it. I think its a shell of its former self. D'Amore's school is tons better.

That house should be on the National Heritage List or whatever Canada has that stops people destroying buildings that have historical value.

I've been added a few more schools so please give the list a look and give me some feedback. I'm focusing right now to find schools in Europe (other than the UK) and Mexico, as most lists I've seen don't have any. I've found a few independent dojos in Japan, but I would like more (if they exist) The list is far from complete, so the more feedback the better. I am interested in hearing people's opinions on the Funkin Conservatory & Killer Kowalski's schools. Have they produced any new talent lately or is their respect values over-inflated?
In anticipation of TEW 07 coming out, I'm collecting real world dojos, training schools & camps to be included in the update. These should not be schools that are tied into a specific federation, as the "graduates" of the schools go directly into the free-agent pool. From the developer diary: So I'm asking for your help in creating a list. Since the game isn't out yet, I'm not sure how many will be included in the final product, but don't be afraid to put in this thread - especially camps from Europe, Japan & Mexico! Also, any input on the "respect" factor would be helpful. I'm using 1-100 scale for this list, as I feel that should be enough to create a list using whatever scale Adam will use in the game for the schools. To determine the respect factor, I looked at the trainers and graduates of that school and if I had heard of them before. :) I'll try to list thing them in this format: School - Location - Respect (1-100) The list so far: USA: Killer Kowalski's School - Massachussets - 100 Funking Conservatory - Florida - 95 Wild Samoan Training Center - Pennsylvania - 90 The Monster Factory - New Jersey - 90 Johnny Rodz' House of Hard Knocks - New Yok - 75 WWA4 - Georgia - 70 Harley Race Wrestling Academy - Missouri - 70 Chaotic Training Center - Massachussets - 65 Midwest Pro Wrestling - Minnesota - 55 Ultimate University - California - 50 Steve Keirn's School of Hardknocks - Florida - 40 Texas Wrestling Academy - Texas - 40 APW Boot Camp - California - 40 CZW/Chikara Wrestle Factory - Pennsylvania - 35 NYWC Training Center - New York - 30 Top Rope Pro Wrestling Academy - New Hampshire - 10 EWA Pain Factory - Maryland - 10 Canada: Can Am Wrestling School - Ontario - 85 Storm Wrestling Academy - Alberta - 75 ECCW In-Pain Asylum - British Columbia - 50 Squared Circle Training - Ontario - 30 NWA Torture Chamber - Quebec - 25 United Kingdom: Dropkixx - Essex - 50 The Garage - NW England - 30 UPW Academy - Northampton - 25 Japan: (I need lots of help with the respect levels here, as I have a small amount of knowledge of current Japanese wrestlers) Animal Hamaguchi Gym - Tokyo - 50 Kaientai Dojo - Chiba - 45 Team Kurisu Gym - Osaka - 20 (I really am guessing, as I can't find a list of who came from this dojo. He is training The Boogeyman right now. The Stro still trains but his school has never produced anybody worth mentioning. Compared to the other schools listed Id give his place 5 or 10 respect. List looks pretty good. Youre doing a great job, you'll have to tweak some things but thats to be expected. Thanks for doing this.

I forgot the trainers name but he was trained by Ken Patera. Arik Cannon has come from there. The Northstar Express Darin Corbin and Ryan Cruz of Chikara fame. Mick Karch was trained to be an announcer (how IDK). I know that the trainer has strong ties with the WWE. He told me he was one of only 3 promotions (Outside of OVW and DSW) who holds WWE tryouts.

I dont know if they should be raised any though. They have never had a successful graduate. And obviously dont have any trainer worth mentioning. I know WWE has a good working relationship with UPW, WXW, Chaotic, and SWF regarding hiring talent, but Ive never even heard of MPW or their training camp. They actually may need to be lowered.:)
I dont know if they should be raised any though. They have never had a successful graduate.
I'm curious now. What do you consider 'successful graduate'? Would Triple H be a 'successful graduate' but Bryan Danielson not? In your mind, does a worker have to be main eventing WWE events to be considered a successful graduate from wrestling school? Would Joanie Laurer be a more 'successful graduate' than say, Nikki Roxx or April Hunter or Amanda Storm? Just trying to get an idea of what 'successful graduate' means when referring to a wrestling school's respect level (and, by proxy, competence).

Of course, if you dont you're an idiot. Bryan Danielson? Again yes, I think I mentioned in an earlier post that the only successful class from the Texas Wrestling Academy was the first. Danielson is a complete success. Would Joanie Laurer be considered more of a success than Nikki Roxx or April Hunter? Hell yeah. Nikki Roxx? Nikki Roxx? Who cares about her? Do i believe you have to main event WWE to be a success? No...There are mny ways to be successful in wrestling without stepping foot in the WWE. Theres TNA, Japan, ROH, and other ways in general to be a success. Some guys who never make it anywhere retire and become excellent trainers or promoters. So maybe before you get so over anxious and go on another exaggeratted one sided tyrade trying to berate someone for expressing their opinion maybe you should read their post first.

Hrm, I asked a simple question and don't see anything particularly aggressive about my choice of words but whatever. I was trying to get an idea of what you considered a successful graduate from a wrestling school, nothing more. We have different views on how a wrestling school's performance should be judged. That's cool, I just wanted to see another viewpoint.
