I liked the look of the Weasel and Mr. Newton as they have the same arrogance to them. Newton looked good and got the win to further push him as the #1 contender. This was to be the 3 way tag match for the vacant tag titles but I got a little lazy and failed to check out the schedules of other companies. I lost almost all of my workers for this show that had been booked. The tag match will hopefully return next show but for now, this one made me happy on all fronts. All 3 of these men will be in that 3 way tag finals with their respective tag partners in 2 months time. He congradulated me on making CCW a succcess but added that more changes are needed. He gave me a couple new yearly goals for 2009. One of them being that I cannot drop below $7,000 which should be a problem. The second being that he doesn't want to drop in popularity..what will be easy as the economy and industry are rising nicely now. Then he hit me with a bomb. In the next 2 years I an now not allowed to sign anyone who works for someone else. He wantsme to grow our own stars. This eliminates 12 of our current stars when resignings come around and most of my main eventers right now will be gone..thanks boss!!!! The next one was that he doesn't like injuries so he doesn't want me to sign anyone with less resilience than a C-. The only one that may be a problem there is [b]Eve Grunge[/b] when resignings come around. In any event, the next 2 years will be tough for me and for the CCW but at least I can sign guys with a little less than a B- in basic skills now! I let a few go but guys like A.A.W , Marc Speed and the Masked Cougar all resigned with Holt's blessing! He also allowed me to resign Eve Grunge, even though she is lower in resillience than what he wanted..sweet!!! - This is our last half hour show. With our attendance rising, we are being moved into another part of the market. A more closed off location of the arena and it will feel more like an actual event now than just being put right in the middle of the market grounds. - Next month CCW LIVE comes at you with an hour long show and 4 big matches and a bunch of new talent to showcase!!! He asks Cornell If he has really thought his challenge through? He explains that Air Attack Weasel is in business with D.W.N and D.W.N is the next CCW Champion! Picking fight with the Weasel means that Eddie wants to pick a fight with the next CCW champion. Mr, Newton smiles and rests a hand on Eddie's shoulder. He explains that the Weasel is already busy in the upcoming Tag match last tonight but Mr. Newton is free if Eddie is looking for a fight. Eddie brushes Davis's hand off hsi shoulder and steps up to the well dressed man. He barely gets out [i]"your on"[/i] before Air Attack Weasel is jumping him. Both men stomp away at a defenseless Eddie Cornell until out from the back runs [b]Cameron Vessey[/b] who clears the ring. During the match we also had Davis Wayne Newton run in and attack Cameron Vessey.[/b] [quote] I was hoping for a dynomite main event but only got an "excellent" main event, which I can accept. Thomas Morgan, in his last match for CCW after signing wth NOTBW, did a great job. Masked Cougar looked great out there as well. After tossing his prone body back into the ring, they watched with smiles as the Masked Cougar got the easy pin for the win and the titles. June made the very easy pin, ordered April out of the ring and had her hand raised. APril just climbed onto the back of the bike with her head down and waited. During the match we also saw June Butler run in and attack Alicia, and Gorgon do the same to Alicia.[/b] [quote] Alicia Strong controlled much of this match and the crowd was cheering loudly adn really into it. Alicia managed to fend off both an atatck by [b]June Butler[/b] and [b]Gorgon[/b] on seperate occasions. After a ref bump, Alicia was jumped by both Butler and Gorgon once more until teh crowd popped when [b]Eve Grunge[/b] come to the ring with a steel chair and cleared it. She then turned and knocked Strong out cold with a nasty shot. Agent 69 and Eve shared a staredown before Eve rolled out of the ring and a groggy ref made the 3 count. Vessey is about to leave when he turns around and tells Newton that he might as well leave [b]Air Attack Weasel[/b] in the back for their match because tonight it will be [b]Vessey VS. Newton[/b] inside [b]A steel cage[/b]!!!! The crowd pops as Newton's mouth drops. Vessey just smiles as he heads to the back. The crowd was amazing in this match and Parker really worked his heel character good. Cal really had no chance and the match was a huge success thanks to Parker. Either way, I liked them and I think I can work some magic with them if I haev enough time with them. The team of future stars, "Rolling" Johnny Stones and Eddie Cornell was just too much for them, they went down without much of a fight. This was by far the best main event we have ever booked and with came complete with sick bumps, blood and gore. Vessey and Newton tore the roof down and worked with the "weak" cage we managed to put together with the limited funds we had to work with. The crowd went crazy when Vessey hit his "sick Cycle" finisher, then walked out of the cage for the clean win. [b]C[/b] Cameron Vessey makes defence number 3 of his CCW Championship title. June parks the bike and orders April into the ring. She enters herself and makes April stand behind her as she address the Ladies Champion. The Agent tells June how much she respects her and she knows that June won the [b]#1 contender[/b] shot in the 4 way a couple months back but for her and June to fight, knobody really wins. She adds that she values June's friendship and wants to keep it intact so she has another suggestion. The Agent suggests that June make her [i]"little pet"[/i] wrestle in her place tonight for the [b]Ladies Championship[/b] and let her win the title for June. That way June keeps her hands clean, The Agent and June stay friends and April can make herself useful for a change. June smiles as she looks behind her at April, who has her head down and is still holding both titles. June accepts and shakes the champions hand before ordering April out of the ring and back on the back of her bike. She adds that she suffered through all that pain so the stupid CCW fans can get their money's worth. How did the fans repay her? They forgot her and gave up on her as soon as she lost the Ladies title. She adds that no fans got behind her and no fans seemed to care if she was even alive! Alicia is a newcomer who has done nothing special since coming to the CCW and wins gets lucky once, winning the Ladies title and suddenly the fans are cheering and chanting her name. I doubt I will travel down this road again for a long time! Newton had a good run in CCW but I was always hesitant to put the belt on him due to his popularity with the other companies and his contract. In the end, his contract did us in as he was up for renewal and was asking for way too much. I am sad to see him go but the show must go on....a decent final match for him to say farwell to! A confused Agent scoops up her belt and leaves as June beats the crap out of April until officials (Me and Preston Holt) run into the ring and pull her off. The show closes with Butler sitting on her bike and yelling for April to join her. A bruised and battered April pushes away from the help of Preston Holt and rolsl out of the ring. Without saying a word she sits down on the back of the bike and June rides away. As Strong fights her off and out of the ring, [b]June Butler[/b] hits the ring and tries to just Strong from behind. Fighting her off proves too be a bit more difficult and hopeless once [b]Eve Grunge[/b] hits the ring. Strong is jumped from behind and soon teh Agent rejoins the attack. Alicia Strong is beaten down by all 3 as the crowd shows their disgust. These 2 have great chemistry and it showed. She roders April into the ring after a few last minutes words and a slap across the face. Gorgon and April have a great tilt as April is able to fight off the monster where others have failed. April might have won if it had been for June tripping April outside of the ring. The distraction was enough for Gorgon to hit a belly to belly suplex, then a splash off the second turnbuckle for the win. After the match June enters and yelsl at April, slapping her once more. She oreders April out of the ring and to sit on the back of her bike without moving or talking for the next match. During the match we also had June Butler turn on Agent 69.[/b] [quote] The "heels" had the advantage in this match but Alicia Strong fought hard for her team. Lilly & Rose looked a little out of place in the match but did alright. The shocking ending came when Agent 69 reached out for a tag to June but June just jumped down from the ring apron. A shocked Agent yelled for June to tag her, then turned into a spinning DDT that caused the win. Afetr the match, a shocked "face" team walked away slowly as June Butler entered, scooped up a hurt Agent 69 and violently drilled her into a steel chair she had slid into the ring with a powerbomb. The show closes with June bending down adn telling a motionless Agent 69 that she expects that OFFICAL title match in 2 months time!!! We broke into the 20% range in Ontario and should be getting extra money in. I thought I would see If small expansion shows could be done. If I lose a lot of money, this will be the last one! Ricardo is flying solo and had one heck of a good match, should have booked it as the main event.
