Men Of Steel Combat: Ascendancy

Recommended Posts

I never read your ECW diary, as I've stated before I don't really read real world diaries, but you got a ton of god press about it and if you cna pull off a truely hardcore ECW I can't wait to see what you do with MoSC. The best thing is I also haven't really gotten into the C-Verse UK scene so however you make these chracters is how I'm probably gonna view them from now on.

Cheers for the interest guys ;). ECW Worldwide will continue into 2007 in some form. I also have a cool idea for an ECW Worldwide spin-off which I'd love to do but we'll see how it all goes. MoSC is a company I've had an interest in for a while, though. Quote The Raven Nevermore

It was only upon taking the booking reigns that I realised why the MoSC product had become stale: the "new" 21st Century Wrestling had really swallowed up a lot of the talent pool. However, after recieving the official information from Braveheart, I was satisfied with the situation.
Based in: Scotland Popularity (UK) Scotland: E (26%) North: E (26%) Midlands: F- (0%) South: F- (0%) Size: Small Prestige: 22 Finances: $120,000 Product Key Features: Hardcore
My main goal was to turn MoSC into a profit making company. So, to cut costs, I decided early on that there were some workers who did not deserve their place on the roster; others were cut purely for financial reasons: Mr. Wright Overrated and expecting far too much cash. Jay B Too limited talent for a 30 year old. Lawrence Young A financial casualty: I thought I'd take over the colour commentary to save some money. It wasn't all firings; I tried my hand at hiring too: Psycho A charismatic brawler who could clearly fire up a crowd. The Landlord A crazy, popular brawler who could feature in the main event scene. Ripper LeStat My favourite of the signings. Plus, she provides some eye candy.
Finally, seeing as we were striving for a similar goal, I decided on a "make love not war" approach and signed a working agreement with British Samurai's Ring Of Fire. I signed a similar agreement with the European promotion Ultimate Combat Ring.

Firstly, I decided to use their own tactic against them. If they broadcast an American-style, SpEnt product, we're gonna be as Jingoistically British as possible! Screw the "American Dream" of watching rockstar wannabes play wrestling, while drinking a half-litre of watered-down lager; give me British blood, sweat and tears with a pint of good old English ale! Secondly, what do you do to compete with the mainstream? Go underground! Thus, I'm turning up the cult value of MoSC and making it a key feature of our style.

Minor correction: You have both of the McPetersons listed as Blood & Beer Champion. I think Highland Warrior's title is the UK Championship? Will be nice to keep track of things with this diary. I'm kinda hoping that Cult as a key feature doesn't restrict you the way it usually does in real life. Would be nice to see a hardcore centered promotion go national, international, and global.
McPeterson: Oh and, if you fail to deliver there will be... It was his turn to pause. McPeterson: ...consequences.
Best...line....yet. This isn't Phil Vibert or Paul Heyman saying this. It's a coondog crazy big MF'er used to taking chairs to the skull. About the only two people who would be more intimidating saying that would be Ryu Kajahara and maybe Larry Wood. :p (Tommy Cornell would have the presence and the menace but he wouldn't have the "making a living eating furniture and throwing your body into barbed wire ON PURPOSE" aura.)

I agree about Ryu Kajahara, that dude is freaky! There's something about Japanese psycopaths that's even more unnerving. Quote The Raven Nevermore

Well, my first show in charge went pretty well. I'm starting to recognise some strengths and weaknesses in the roster. As for the colour commentary, I'd frankly prefer someone other than me to do it but I'm a bit conscious of saving pennies wherever possible. On that note, the downside: the show set us back £9,000 - bugger! That's a figure I'm going to have to whittle down. On a more positive note, I thought I'd test the local talent pools. Therefore, I negotiated some talent Trades with UCR and ROF (Buff Martinez heading to the former and "Geordie" Jimmy Morris rejoining his old mates at the latter). In exchange I picked up these two: Ali Bloxsome A competent and fairly popular worker.
Pagliero: Well, I don't like Ultra Violence but at least he beat The Dublin Destroyer. If there's one sort of people I hate, it's the Irish!
Ok here comes the hate mail for Pagliero, great heel commentator comment but still makes me wanna kick his ass.

With all the Maiden love early on, I'm amazed McPeterson didn't come out to The Clansman :( But despite that, the layout was.."innovative". Good show, but for a fed that has just signed Ripper LeStat, maybe The Juicer is going a bit overboard with the blood thing? (unless, of course, that's the point ¬_¬).
