Fans will expect TV shows to be 85% matches and 15% angles. Matches are rated on a ratio of between 30:70 in-ring action / popularity. This dangerous style is punishingly hard on the bodies of the workers. Matches less than 10 minutes will not be able to achieve world class scores. Fans expect matches to be short and will be bored if they go long. Fans would be put off by cheap endings to matches like count outs, DQ's or sports entertainment finishes. Angles need to be short of they'll lose the crowd. Gimmick will not be necessary, but will have an impact if used. All matches should be aimed as Deathmatch, Hardcore, Wild Brawl, Car Crash or Mayhem. A minimum of half the matches on each show need to be aimed at Deathmatch. The company will be extremely limited in the broadcast time slots that they can get. The fan base will be very opinionated and will turn on workers they don't feel belong. The company will find it very difficult to attract sponsors. Attendance levels are slightly affected by the state of the wrestling industry. As if there was this huge secret that was kept hidden from me. The very ingredient that made me, me. You see, unlike my parents who were soft, bland, obedient, hesitant - wholesome through and through - I was always reckless, headstrong, crazy even, always wanting to perform, always wanting to be in the center of attention and I never quite knew why. It was slowly driving me insane during my teenage years. There was this unexplainable fire burning within me. How could I have turned out so different from my parents? "In biology, an atavism is a modification of a biological structure whereby an ancestral trait reappears after having been lost through evolutionary change in previous generations. The word atavism is derived from the Latin atavus—a great-great-great-grandfather or, more generally, an ancestor." Just a random line in a book while reading for the biology exams in middle school. Then it hit me like a truck - a faint memory from my childhood, a memory of my grandfather and one of the weirdest social situations I had ever been in, when I was just a young boy and the family was visiting grandpa in Tokyo. As a kid I didn't read much into it but now, thinking it back, knowing what I now know, I should have realised it. I had noticed that my grandpa had these huge scars running all over his body. Curious as I was, I asked him about the scars. Grandpa looked at me with a big smile, but before he could tell me, my dad looked at him with an angry, tentative look on his face. My father then interrupted and told me that it had something to do with the game show my grandpa was hosting but I didn't believe him at all. What kind of machines would do that to a person? An eerie silence fell upon that room. We dined in silence, grandpa muttering something under his breath. It was never talked about again. Well, not until I ran away from home one night after a fallout with my dad.. I was only 14. I stole some money from his wallet and took the night train to my grandpa who welcomed me with open arms. The very next day he escorted me back to the train station and told me that I had to return to my parents. However before arriving to the station, he took me to what looked like an abandoned gym hall. The hall was filled with wrestling rings and all sorts of gym equipment. In the back was a small office, decorated with pictures, ticket stubs, memorabilia, even a glass cabinet filled with all sorts of trophies and belts. They all had the same initials.. WEXXV. Grandpa just stood by the door, smiling, while I just stared through the pictures. At that very moment, the pieces came together. I finally knew the reasons behind my father's actions and his reluctance to tell me about my grandpa's history in pro wrestling. I finally knew who I was, who I was meant to be.. What my legacy would be. I knew my father wouldn't like the idea of me following my grandpa's footsteps. Good. Serves him right.. And I wouldn't have it any other way. http://sadhappy.mbnet.fi/WEXX/WEXXbanner.jpg That day I made a promise to my grandpa - to finish my studies and not to run away from home ever again. In return, during the fall of 2017, a few weeks later from that first visit to grandpa's gym, my wrestling training started. Grandpa introduced me to Koichi Kajiwara who become my trainer alongside my grandpa. When I finally turned 18 in 2019, the dream became a reality as Koichi founded Warrior Engine 2020 with my grandpa's blessing. It's now 2022 and weirdly enough, we're still in business. My road to glory hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows - more like buckets of blood and broken jaws. Not once, but twice. But I'm living the dream. This is what I was born to do. http://sadhappy.mbnet.fi/WEXX/Tatsu.jpghttp://sadhappy.mbnet.fi/WEXX/Ryu.jpg Time to finish, what grandpa Ryu started. - Tatsu Kajahara </div><img style="max-width:100%;"
  4. Just wanted to say thanks, again. These were so good that they inspired me to start a diary in TEW2020..
  5. WWE Network has the ECW PPV's from Hardcore Heaven '95 to Guilty as Charged '01. I don't know how edited they are though.
  6. Put the owner in contract with the promotion first.

For instance, a guy whom I wanted to use for a Steal The Show match had 53-83 stamina which was apparently too low for even a 14 min match. How exactly do I read the stats then? Is it an actual range of performance? Should I read from the middle? Should I be going with the lowest score first? It seems to be really vague and hard to understand.<p> </p><p> (also as a side note, I would really like to know how to fix "a pretty vocal crowd did not seem particularly thrilled with seeing [wrestler name]" because I tried doing an alter ego with a mask and it did not work and idk what to do because it's my player character plz help)</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It's the fog of war/scouting. The more unknown the worker is, the less you really know about the worker and thus the 53-83 is a vague guess, as it should be. This can be turned on and off from the preferences/options.</p><p> </p><p> The vocal crowd notes are tied to workers skills, ie. you need good Hardcore skill in Deathmatch promotions and so on. You can find those stats here on the forums, I just can't remember which thread it was.</p>
  9. <p>CWA is 8M in debt and given warning. They'll be bankrupt before the end of the year.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cwadebt.png" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/6Zg15Dj/cwadebt.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="caw8.png" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/gjTt1tP/caw8.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> This is back when they were only -5M</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="cwa.png" data-src="https://i.ibb.co/3kmdy3v/cwa.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> I really don't know what the real reason is tbh. Canada has doing well. I guess it's the Medium size and their roster with very expensive salaries. Yet TCW, SWF and USPW are doing awesome.</p>
  10. I've always had it in my head and I can't really write anything down about it. It's really weird. Over the years the booking rhythm has been ingrained to my playstyle.. I mean, it looks correct. Not much else to say really.
  11. O-ou. From Deathmatch to Gory Hardcore. You sold out, Koichi Kajiwara. You sold out. This really grinds my gear as changing the product also halts popularity progression!

  13. <p>First year done, I got rolls #6 (Kinji Akamatsu took me as his protege) and #46, making me a baseline Heel. WEXX held 30 shows, with the best rating 44. UC highest rated match has been 36. We had to halt down the schedule when we reached Tiny but now we're at even money financially. UC has simmering tension with 7-8 people but Loyalty with one. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> It was a rough year as there were approximately 20-25 injuries and my UC broke his jaw at one point. I've ruled with Iron Fist and now my image is so feared that people behave well.</p>
  14. From preferences, uncheck the "Main Event header/mode/whatever".
  15. <p>*gasp* <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Like I said.</p>
  16. <p>Stop with the hostilities or this will get locked just like every other thread of similar ilk.</p><p> </p><p> Chill.</p><p> </p><p> Now that the game is out, and works without major RTE's or bugs (not talking about balancing, that's whole another issue in itself), Adam will surely have more time to do other stuff that takes more time and require different sort of work than just altering the code of the game. But what I'd actually like is for Adam to take a few days off - I bet that over the years this whole series, which probably started as a fun hobby, might be quite tedious work in the end and it would be good to take a breather and come back at it with fresh eyes.</p><p> </p><p> There's a lot of balancing to be done with the finances etc., but as skeptic as I've been, Adam does tend to fix things in time.</p>
  17. WEXX rose to Tiny and my first roll was #6: "Master And Disciple” You can become the protégé of anyone 10 years or more older than you are" and it rolled Kinji Akamatsu to be my mentor! How cool is that.
  18. Yes. Skill improvement trickles slowly now. Read handbook for more information. It's in the "Workers - Leaning Skills" section, press the ? at the top right of a screen to access the handbook.
  19. Started a new save in 1.03, running a Deathmatch promotion in Japan to make it even harder than Gory Hardcore. Getting 30 rated cards without an announcer. Owner is Koichi Kajiwara with very easy owner goals. My only concern is the unavoidable risk of getting a massive injury. This RTG save is the only save I'm running at the moment and I have no intention on switching the promotion either. It'll be Road to Glory with WEXX or no glory at all.
  20. Yo, FIN here. I've been around here since 2005.. Now that is a long time. It feels weird even typing that. I'll probably reach 5,000 posts this year! I've been playing Adam's games from the very early versions of EWR/EWD all the way to TEW and WreSpi series. Here at the forums I'm known for my alts for TEW and it's Cornellverse, alts which I've made hundreds of hundreds over the years as well as the .gif pack which I've made for TEW2016 and TEW2020. I've also been quite active on the TEW dynasty forums over the years, mainly booking Japanese promotions such as WEXXV and GCG. The diaries have sadly been quite brief yet well received. I'm also an avid board gamer and I own a collection of almost a hundred board games.
  21. That's how I feel about games and movies most of the time. You can see where the storyline in a movie is clearly going and try to suppress thinking ahead as best as you can but.. On the topic of being quaranteed etc., I've now been at home with full pay from my job for two months now, we only had to do a month's worth of tutorials and you know, education from home etc. and now I'm spending away my summer vacation weeks. Next month it's either going back to work as normal or being furloughed which I really wouldn't even mind. I belong to a risk group so I really don't like going outside at the moment, even though my country hasn't been hit by the thingy so bad as others. There's almost as many confirmed cases world wide as there's population in Finland so.. Social distancing is the norm for us and there's not much population density also. Living with my gf for years now and I'm quite introverted, even to the point that I'm dead serious about my ability to be alone for very lengthy periods of time without any drawbacks. When I lived alone I've had periods of several days, almost a week where I didn't say a single word to anyone But yeah, these past few months have been incredible, one of the best times of my life, and I know it's very different from other people's experience. I've been keeping quiet about it since I know how hard this is for some people but for me, it's been amazing. My gf's is a lot more social though so I've had to push past my boundaries and trying my best to keep her company but I still need and enjoy my own time especially at nights. What a weird time we live in.
  22. Maybe set every skill that got randomized to full tens, ie. 50 or 60? Then count them, say you get 720. Now you know you can put 30 more in, then adjust them accordingly when you know you now have the full 750. I just went with the random and had it sort it out. There are two ways to go about it, either do full random and put in the 750 yourself.
