<div style="text-align:center;">Wrestling Observer Newsletter World Wrestling Federation WrestleMania VII Sunday Week 4 March 1991 <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46192" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>-It is finally time for WrestleMania VII! This is the biggest show in the WWF calendar year. It will have some of the biggest matches of the year and this will include the main event where we will see the WWF Heavyweight title defended. In that match, we will see the current WWF Heavyweight Champion, The Ultimate Warrior, defend the title against the Royal Rumble winner Randy Savage! The Macho King has been on a roll in the WWF, winning the Royal Rumble and defeating The Immortal Hulk Hogan at The Wrestling Classic last month. Warrior, himself, has also been on a roll, defeating Sgt. Slaughter in back to back matches at the Royal Rumble and The Wrestling Classic. Last Monday, The Ultimate Warrior was arrested for striking a policeman. He issued an apology on WWF Superstars and promised to pick up the victory against The Macho King. Make sure you tune in to find out who walks away with the WWF Heavyweight title. -In another match, we will see a Snake Pit match featuring Stan Hansen and Jake Roberts. The objective of this match is to put your opponent inside the snake pit where there will be several different kinds of snakes. The Lariat made his debut at the Royal Rumble when he assaulted The Snake. The two have been feuding ever since and it has been building to this moment. Last Monday on Prime Time Wrestling it was revealed that Hansen has a phobia of snakes. That will definitely make him work harder in this Snake Pit match. With this match being no disqualification, a wild card just might be Sam Houston, Jake Roberts' brother. Could he be there at ringside? Could he come out during the match? Only one way to find out and that is to tune in and watch. -Another of the biggest matches of the year so far will feature two former WWF Heavyweight Champions. Those two men are Sgt. Slaughter and Hulk Hogan! Slaughter and Hogan have been on-again and off-again feuding since Slaughter began sympathizing with Iraq and Saddam Hussein. Hogan is an all-American wrestler and is prepared to stand up for Old Glory and the United States. Slaughter, on the other hand, has renounced the American way of life. He stands up at attention for the Iraqi flag. Only one of these two men will remain with the WWF after this night as their match is a Loser Leaves WWF match. Which of these two heavy hitters will remain with the company and which will be heading out the door? Make sure you watch to find out. -Thirty men will be in the ring when the Vince McMahon Senior Memorial Battle Royal match begins at WrestleMania VII. This match was announced at The Wrestling Classic by Vince McMahon Jr. and will feature a multitude of wrestlers, including battle royal specialist Andre the Giant, Demolition, The Rockers, Roddy Piper, Sid Vicious, Bam Bam Bigelow and more. With thirty wrestlers in the ring, this could be anyone's bout to win. It will include the one match return of S.D. Jones and the first match for Sid Vicious. The winner of this bout will receive a future WWF Heavyweight title shot. Only one man can win so make sure you watch. -The WWF Intercontinental title will be on the line in a best two out of three falls match when Mr. Perfect defends the belt against Ricky Steamboat. Last Monday, Perfect and his manager Bobby Heenan spoke with Stan Hansen, who had a match with Steamboat. Then, during the match, Hansen got disqualified because he wouldn't stop attacking Steamboat. We saw on WWF Superstars that Perfect and Heenan paid Hansen for this attack. Steamboat will not be one hundred percent at WrestleMania. Vince McMahon sends us to the ring for our opening bout...C+ -In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Demolition(Smash-C, Crush-C-) defeated The American Express(D+) in 5:35 when Crush defeated Dan Spivey by pinfall with a Demolition Decapitation...C -A video plays hyping the history between The Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage. These two men will fight at WrestleMania VII for the WWF Heavyweight title...B- -In a video, Gene Okerlund hosts the WrestleMania Event Center. He discusses the matches coming up at WrestleMania VII, including The Million Dollar Man defending the Million Dollar Belt against Virgil. He sends us to a promo with The Million Dollar Man, who is standing by with his bodyguard, Hercules. DiBiase says that in 24 hours he is going to face the man that he brought up from the gutter. He says that Virgil must have gotten homesick because that's exactly where he landed again. DiBiase reminds everyone that money makes the world go around and that everybody has a price for The Million Dollar Man...A -In a poor match, Virgil(D+) defeated Mike Sharpe(D) in 6:24 by pinfall...C- -In a video, we return to Gene Okerlund and the WrestleMania Event Center. Okerlund turns his attention to the match at WrestleMania between The Undertaker and The British Bulldog. He sends us to a promo with Bulldog. Gene Okerlund says that in 24 hours, he is going to face death in the ring when he takes on The Undertaker. Bulldog says that he doesn't fear the specter of death because The Undertaker's powers are simply an illiusion and this bulldog's bite is worse than his bark. The lights around Bulldog begin to flicker and then comes the sound of The Undertaker's laugh. Bulldog looks unnerved for a moment before we fade away...A -Buddy Landel cuts a promo on his upcoming match with Don Muraco tonight. Landel says that he is going to continue what he did to Muraco at The Wrestling Classic showing that he is the best Nature Boy in the business today. Landel says that to be the man, you have to beat the man and nobody has beaten him here in the WWF. That will include the Vince McMahon Senior Memorial Battle Royal as he plans to style and profile his way to victory and that future WWF Heavyweight title shot. Landel releases a 'Whooo' and then struts off as he prepares to go to the ring...C -In a backstage segment not seen on Prime Time Wrestling, we see Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect pay Stan Hansen for his attack on Ricky Steamboat...B+ -In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, Buddy Landel(C-) defeated Don Muraco(D+) in 11:32 by submission with a Figure Four Leglock after blatantly cheating...C -The match is over and Buddy Landel refuses to release the Figure Four Leglock on Don Muraco. Officials flood the ring to break things up and finally break the Figure Four. Landel stands up and raises his arms in victory, pointing to the Vince McMahon Senior Memorial Trophy that is sitting at ringside. Following an argument, a brawl breaks out where Savage uses Sensational Queen Sherri to distract Warrior and get the advantage. Seeing the assault, The Hart Foundation come running in and fight them both off, saving Keith Hart from a serious beating...B- -A video plays showing the history between Eddie Gilbert and Wahoo McDaniel as Eddie Gilbert will meet McDaniel's replacement at WrestleMania VII...C- -Roddy Piper is standing in the ring as Paul Orndorff is led out by Bobby Heenan. Heenan announces that Orndorff is unable to compete tonight and for the next month due to an injury. Instead, Orndorff will be replaced in this match by The Warlord...B+ -In a good match, Roddy Piper(A) defeated The Warlord(C-) in 11:48 when The Warlord was thrown from the ring following botched interference by The Barbarian...B -Post-match, a pull apart brawl ensues including several wrestlers who are in the Vince McMahon Senior Memorial Battle Royal. This includes The Warlord, Roddy Piper, Crush, Smash, Animal, Andre the Giant, Sam Houston and the debut of Sid Vicious. It comes down to Sid Vicious and Andre the Giant. Sid surprises everyone by lifting Andre over the top rope to the floor. Sid stands tall alone in the ring...A -Backstage, The Ultimate Warrior is shown...walking. He asks one of the backstage attendants where Randy Savage is but the attendant says he doesn't know. Warrior spots Randy Savage in the background and begins charging toward the Macho King but security steps in, telling Warrior not to continue. Warrior ignores them before knocking one of them to the ground. The other officers begin reading Warrior his rights, looking to handcuff him. Warrior lowers his head in shame at getting handcuffed by the police. As they load him into the police car, Savage can be seen pointing and laughing in the background. The police car speeds away from the building...B+ -The Million Dollar Man enters the ring and talks about his upcoming match at WrestleMania VII against Virgil. DiBiase says that everybody has a price and he has just signed a new bodyguard to take the place of Virgil. He introduces Hercules, who comes down to the ring with Slick to boos from the crowd. Hercules stands in DiBiase's corner as DiBiase prepares for his match...B- -In a decent match, The Million Dollar Man(B+) defeated Dan Spivey(C-) in 5:39 by submission with a Million Dollar Dream. During the match we also had Hercules run in and attack Spivey...B- -The match is over and The Million Dollar Man throws Dan Spivey to the mat before standing side by side with Hercules. DiBiase is given a one hundred dollar bill by Hercules and he walks over to Spivey before Virgil interrupts the moment. Virgil enters the ring and goes face-to-chest with Hercules for a moment before throwing forearm shots. Hercules fires back and the two on one advantage takes down Virgil. DiBiase puts the bill in Virgil's mouth before he and Hercules walk off...B -Backstage, Stan Hansen is getting ready to head to the ring for the main event contest. Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect stop him, saying that they have something to speak with him about before his match tonight...B+ -In a bout that had great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Ricky Steamboat(B) defeated Stan Hansen(B-) in 21:42 when Stan Hansen got disqualified after going into an attacking rage...B- -Post-match, Stan Hansen continues to assault Ricky Steamboat until Jake Roberts comes running in from the back. Roberts unleashes Damian in the ring and Hansen actually exits the ring looking scared. Roberts smiles in the ring as he picks up Damian and puts the snake over his shoulders while Hansen looks at him wide-eyed. Hansen slowly backs up the aisle...A -In the ring, Jack Tunney hosts a contract signing between Hulk Hogan and Sgt. Slaughter. The contract for their match states that the loser must leave the WWF. Both men sign the contract and then go nose-to-nose with each other. Within moments, the two men begin to brawl with Slaughter hitting Hogan with a low blow and then locking the Cobra Clutch on him. He holds it until Hogan stops moving and then releases, throwing him down. Slaughter gives Hogan a salute of dismissal as the show comes to an end...A*</div></div><div></div></blockquote></div>

On this Prime Time Wrestling, we will see a contract signing for the WrestleMania VII match between Sgt. Slaughter and Hulk Hogan. WWF President Jack Tunney will be officiating this contract signing. Slaughter has demanded that the match be Loser Leaves WWF. Contract signings in the WWF are always filled with some excitement and something major is bound to happen in this one. Make sure you tune in and watch. -Our main event contest on this night features two men who have huge matches at WrestleMania VII. On one side we will see the Texan born Lariat Stan Hansen. This is the man who will face Jake Roberts in a Snake Pit match at WrestleMania. His opponent is the man who will face Mr. Perfect for the Intercontinental title in a best two out of three falls match, Ricky Steamboat. Both of these men will be looking for momentum heading toward WrestleMania VII. Only one man can get that momentum so make sure you tune in and find out what happens on this night. -A couple of weeks ago, on WWF Superstars, Roddy Piper took on Paul Orndorff in that main event. Piper won the bout via a roll-up but his celebration was cut short when Mr. Wonderful attacked him from behind and dropped him with a Piledriver. Last week, Piper went to Jack Tunney and demanded a rematch with Orndorff this week on Prime Time Wrestling. Tunney granted him that rematch but we have learned that Mr. Wonderful suffered a concussion so he will be out for the foreseeable future. There is a big question now, though, as to who will step up to face the Hot Rod tonight. Make sure you tune in to find out. -Our opening contest will feature two teams that have definitely been trending downward but both teams will be in the Vince McMahon Senior Memorial Battle Royal. Orient Express have lost their former manager in Mr. Fuji and have been suffering several losses in both tag team and singles action. The Rockers have also been suffering from losses. There is a big question as to how these two teams will coexist. Savage and Slaughter did not work together in their attack last week and Warrior and Hogan had a match last week. If you want to see what happens, make sure you tune in to the USA network for Prime Time Wrestling. -We have another match that was set up last week as we will see The Powers Of Pain take on The Rockers in a match that might guarantee one team a future WWF World Tag Team title shot. The Powers Of Pain are now part of the Heenan Family, which means that Bobby Heenan will be at ringside for this match. The Rockers have been having their own issues as of late. Though they seem to say that those issues are behind them. They have excellent chemistry teaming together so on the outside looking in they should be future WWF World Tag Team Champions. The Powers Of Pain, of course, will be having their first match as a team in around a year. It will be their first match as part of The Heenan Family. Power versus speed in this match. Only one can prevail. -Last week, we learned that The Undertaker has targeted The British Bulldog's soul. During the segment known as The Funeral Parlor, Bulldog nearly got physical with Undertaker's manager, Paul Bearer, so The Undertaker appeared and nearly put Bulldog inside a casket. This week, The British Bulldog is in action against Barry Hardy. We definitely know that The Undertaker will be lurking somewhere in the background. Ivan Koloff stomps on Jim Neidhart before The Russians walk away...B+ -The Ultimate Warrior has an interview hyping his upcoming singles match with Hulk Hogan. Warrior promises to strap Hogan to the rocket ship one more time and bring him crashing to the mat. He promises to prove that he is, indeed, The Ultimate Warrior...A* -Wahoo McDaniel comes down to the ring sporting a bandage over one side of his face. McDaniel talks about the fireball he received from Eddie Gilbert at The Wrestling Classic. He says that officials will not clear him to wrestle at WrestleMania. Eddie Gilbert comes out mocking McDaniel's heritage while wearing McDaniel's headdress and chanting. Eddie Gilbert enters the ring and McDaniel calls Eddie Gilbert disrespectful and tells him that he will suffer a curse from the Native American spirits. McDaniel adds in that while he cannot wrestle at WrestleMania he does have a replacement to face Eddie Gilbert. Eddie Gilbert floors McDaniel with a punch and mocks a Native American War Dance around the ring before we cut away...C+ -Hulk Hogan has an interview with Gene Okerlund hyping his upcoming singles match with The Ultimate Warrior. Hogan promises that tonight he will become a three time WWF Heavyweight Champion for all the Hulkamaniacs in the crowd. He asks The Ultimate Warrior whatcha gonna do when the power of Hulk Hogan and all the Hulkamaniacs runs wild over you...A* -In a decent match, Stan Hansen(B-) defeated Sam Houston(D) in 5:54 by pinfall with The Lariat...B- -Post-match, Sam Houston is being beaten on by Stan Hansen. Jake Roberts comes running from the back to save his brother. During the brawl, Hansen takes control and takes down Roberts with The Lariat. Hansen lays Roberts down beside Houston and raises the Texas Longhorns symbol before exiting the ring and heading toward the back...B+ -Backstage, Gene Okerlund interviews Randy Savage. Okerlund asks Savage who he wants to win tonight between The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan. Savage says it doesn't matter because he is taking the title at WrestleMania. His interview is interrupted by Sgt. Slaughter. Slaughter approaches Savage and says they need to have a discussion without prying ears. 'Real American' begins to play and the crowd rises to their feet as the challenger, Hulk Hogan, walks out from the back. He high fives the fans in the front row as he walks to the ring. He steps inside and places his hand to his ear, drawing in cheers from the fans here in the Tri State region. He moves to the center of the ring and rips off his shirt, posing as the music begins to fade and turn off. He moves back into his corner as 'Unstable' begins to play and here comes the WWF Heavyweight Champion! The Ultimate Warrior charges to the ring in his usual style, circling the ring before stepping inside. He begins shaking the ropes and then looks toward Hulk Hogan. He takes the belt off from around his waist and hands it to referee Earl Hebner. Hebner raises the belt, showing it to both Warrior and Hogan before he gives it to the attendant outside the ring. He moves to the center of the ring and calls for the bell. It's time for our main event to begin.] [Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior meet in the center of the ring for a face-to-face that has a lot of camera flash bulbs going off. Warrior suddenly turns and bounces off the ropes. He runs full-steam into Hogan, knocking Hogan back a step but Hogan remains on his feet! Hogan poses and then bounces off the ropes, running full-steam into The Ultimate Warrior but Warrior remains on his feet as well! Both men bounce off the ropes in a criss-cross fashion before Warrior drops down. Hogan jumps over Warrior and comes back and both men hit clotheslines that neither man sells. It's the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object right here in The Izod Center. Hogan bounces off the ropes again but this time The Ultimate Warrior catches him in a powerslam as he comes off the ropes! Warrior makes a quick cover but only gets a one count before Hogan kicks out. Warrior lifts up Hogan and brings him down with a body slam. Warrior plays to the crowd and the warriors in the audience. This leads the match into a series of restholds between the two wrestlers. This includes the tow men trading headlocks and Warrior locking Hogan in a reverse chinlock on the mat. Hogan refuses to submit, though, despite the power of the Warrior locking that hold in on the mat. Warrior picks up Hogan and then brings him back to the mat with a belly-to-back suplex. Warrior turns over and makes the cover:] [....1.... ....2.... ...Shoulder Up!] [A portion of the crowd pops when Hulk Hogan gets his shoulder off the mat. The crowd is definitely split between these two fan favorite wrestlers. As we have now moved past the 10 minute mark, The Ultimate Warrior looks a little frustrated at not being able to put Hogan away. Warrior picks up Hogan and sends him to the ropes. He lowers his head and brings Hogan up and over to the mat with a back body drop. He beats his chest in the middle of the ring but it can easily be seen that he is a little bit tired at this point in the match. He picks Hogan back up and brings him to the mat with a solid vertical suplex before making the cover and getting another two count. After a few more restholds, Warrior is quick to his feet and picks up Hogan, locking him in a bear hug! Hogan's ribs are squeezed by the might of The Ultimate Warrior! Hogan shakes his head, refusing to submit. The referee asks Hogan again and it seems like Hogan has stopped responding. Warrior squeezes Hogan tighter and Earl Hebner grabs the arm of Hogan. He raises it once and it drops. He raises it a second time and it drops. He raises it a third time and...it stays up! A 'Hogan' chant echoes through the arena as Hogan seems to get his second wind. He begins throwing straight right hands to The Ultimate Warrior! Three punches finally breaks the hold and Hogan begins shaking, moving around the ring. Warrior catches Hogan with a clothesline that Hogan doesn't sell! Hogan looks up at Warrior and points! He blocks a Warrior punch and fires three more punches of his own! He sends Warrior to the ropes -- Big Boot! Hogan cups his ear to listen to this capacity sell-out crowd! Hogan bounces off the ropes -- Atomic Legdrop! Slaughter puts a stomp to The Ultimate Warrior before returning his attention to Hogan. Slaughter pulls off one of his spiked boots and brings it crashing down on the forehead of The Immortal one! The announcers cry foul as Slaughter rakes that spike into the forehead of Hogan. Blood begins to form on Hogan's forehead and drip down into his face. Slaughter slides the boot back on and begins to stomp on Hogan before locking him in the Cobra Clutch in a corner of the ring. A 'USA' chant rings loud and proud in this crowd. They want Hogan to make that superhuman comeback for which he is known but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen.] [Without knowing what has happened, The Ultimate Warrior has been down on the mat. He took that Atomic Legdrop from Hulk Hogan and, perhaps, should have lost the WWF Heavyweight title. As Sgt. Slaughter is attacking Hogan, Warrior is slowly working his recovery from the match and the stomp from Slaughter. Warrior grabs the bottom rope and then the middle rope as he tries to stand. As he leans against the middle rope, Randy Savage comes rushing out from the back. Savage strikes Warrior in the head with his scepter, knocking him backward in the ring. Savage climbs up on the apron and then heads to the top turnbuckle. He waits for Warrior to reach his knees and then leaps, striking Warrior with the flying double axehandle. As Slaughter has Hogan in the Cobra Clutch in one corner, Savage begins choking Warrior with the staff of the scepter. Savage finally releases and just drops Warrior down to the mat. He exits the ring and grabs the WWF Heavyweight title belt. He slides back in the ring and raises it up high to boos from the crowd. Will we see this sight at WrestleMania VII? Sgt. Slaughter drops a bloody Hulk Hogan to the mat beside the Ultimate Warrior. Slaughter raises his arms in victory. If we see this sight at WrestleMania VII, it will mean the end of Hulk Hogan in the WWF! Savage drops the belt on the fallen body of The Ultimate Warrior, gives a quick look toward Slaughter and then exits the ring. Slaughter stands tall in the ring as the show comes to a close. I am happy to say that I am officially and completely caught up with this diary. It was a long read but it was definitely worth it. As I said in some PM's to you, you have created such a wonderful world here. I look forward to the narratives as much as the matches themselves. The Matty Faith/Ash Campbell match was a great one. I'm glad to see it as the highest rated match in the diary so far. Looking forward to reading this one live as you continue and move forward. Also looking forward to making some predictions.

Heenan hypes the main event match where he says that Paul Orndorff is going to make sure that Ricky Steamboat doesn't make it to WrestleMania. Monsoon adds that tonight we are going to see an interview with WWF Heavyweight Champion The Ultimate Warrior. Vince McMahon sends us to the ring for our opening bout...B

-In a decent match, Jake Roberts(B+) defeated Kato(D) in 6:18 by pinfall with The DDT...B-

-Having picked up the victory, Jake Roberts celebrates in the ring. He goes and gets the snake bag before walking over to Kato and dropping the snake on top of him. As this happens, Stan Hansen appears on the Titan-tron. Hansen accepts Roberts's challenge for a Snake Pit Match at WrestleMania. He warns Roberts that he's not afraid of snakes and he's not afraid of The Snake. He will prove it at WrestleMania. He raises the Texas Longhorns sign and Roberts just smiles in the ring as we cut away...B+

-In a video, Gene Okerlund hosts the Update segment. He discusses last week's WWF Superstars main event where The Million Dollar Man defeated Shawn Michaels before Virgil made the save. Okerlund sends us to the backstage area after Superstars went off the air. Shawn Michaels is arguing with Marty Jannetty. Michaels wonders where Jannetty was after the match. Jannetty tells Michaels that he thought Michaels could take care of himself since he is the best man. Michaels slaps Jannetty in anger before turning and walking off, leaving Jannetty watching him and rubbing his cheek...B+

-In a bout that had decent wrestling but didn't have much heat, The Hart Foundation(Hart-B, Neidhart-C) defeated Mike Sharpe(D+) and Barry Hardy(D) in 5:31 when Bret Hart defeated Barry Hardy by pinfall with a Hart Attack.

In terms of in-ring work, Bret Hart was head and shoulders above everyone else. Barry Hardy was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance...B-

-Having just picked up the victory, The Hart Foundation celebrate in the ring. The celebration is cut short when The Russians rush out from the back and the brawl is on. Ivan Koloff and Bret Hart are in one corner and Nikita Koloff is in another corner with Jim Neidhart. Nikita Koloff catches Neidhart with a chain shot before dropping him with the Russian Sickle. Nikita Koloff comes over and helps Ivan Koloff and they both drop Bret Hart with dual Russian Sickles. The Russians pick up the WWF World Tag Team title belts and raise them up to boos from the crowd...B+

-In a video, Gene Okerlund hosts the WrestleMania Event Center. Okerlund runs down some of the matches at WrestleMania VII and then sends us to a promo with one of the competitors. Sgt. Slaughter discusses his tag team loss last week, saying that he was held back by his partner and that he wasn't the one to lose. He says that he is not going to lose to that puke Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania. He offers Hogan a chance to up the stakes for their match. He says that he went to the WWF President Jack Tunney and got it approved that, at WrestleMania, it will be a Loser Leaves WWF match between Sgt. Slaughter and Hulk Hogan. Slaughter says that he will squash this maggot in the ring and the last words that Hogan's going to hear are you're dismissed. Slaughter gives a salute of dismissal and we go back to ringside...A

-Demolition are already in the ring when Animal comes out from the back. Animal introduces his tag team partner tonight, from Japan, the man known as Power Warrior. Power Warrior comes out and gives a high five to Animal before the two men rush the ring and the match is on...C+

-In a bout that had sub-par wrestling and little heat, Demolition(Smash-C, Crush-C-) defeated Animal© & Power Warrior(E-) in 11:57 when Smash defeated Power Warrior by pinfall with a Demolition Decapitation.

Power Warrior was the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance...C

-The match is over and Animal & Power Warrior are left down. Demolition are celebrating, but then stop and see that their opponents are still on the ground. They attack, and beat both Animal and Power into the canvas. They toss Power out of the ring and focus on Animal. They hit Animal with the Demolition Decapitation, leaving him lying on the mat...C+

-The announcers talk about how Mr. Perfect wrestles on Prime Time Wrestling next week. Also, The British Bulldog will be in the Funeral Parlor with The Undertaker and Paul Bearer...C

-In a video, Gene Okerlund hosts the second edition of the Update segment. He talks about what happened at The Wrestling Classic where Eddie Gilbert threw a fireball at Wahoo McDaniel. He says that they will learn more about McDaniel next week on Prime Time Wrestling. Right now, though, he sends us to a promo with Eddie Gilbert. Eddie Gilbert has the Native American headdress on and he mocks the Native American heritage of McDaniel. Eddie Gilbert spends the promo mocking McDaniel and declaring himself the new Indian Chief, Chief Hot Stuff. Eddie Gilbert says that at The Wrestling Classic he fired McDaniel before we cut away to the ring...B-

-In a bout that didn't have much heat and terrible wrestling, Virgil(D+) defeated Brooklyn Brawler(D-) in 6:28 by pinfall...D+

-Having picked up the victory, Virgil celebrates in the ring. The celebration is interrupted by the arrival of The Million Dollar Man. DiBiase enters the ring and says that Virgil is a fool for leaving him but he is going to give Virgil the opportunity of a lifetime. He challenges Virgil to a match at WrestleMania VII. Virgil says that he will only accept if The Million Dollar Man puts the Million Dollar Belt on the line. DiBiase thinks about it for a moment before he accepts. He strikes Virgil with a cheap shot before Virgil fights back and sends DiBiase over the top rope with a clothesline. Virgil celebrates in the ring before we cut away...A

-In a video, Randy Savage is shown seated on a throne inside a castle being fed grapes by Sensational Queen Sherri. Savage talks about being the Macho King and how he takes that as being the top of the WWF. Being the top also means holding the WWF Heavyweight title and he plans to do that by defeating The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania. Savage looks to Sherri and promises to bring gold to his Queen. Sherri smiles and feeds Savage another grape, saying she's had enough of these peasants so Savage tells the cameraman to leave as we cut back to the ring...A*

-In a bout that had good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, Ricky Steamboat(B) defeated Paul Orndorff© in 20:02 by pinfall with a Diving Crossbody...B+

-Post-Match, Mr. Perfect and Paul Orndorff assault Ricky Steamboat. They leave Steamboat laying in the ring with Perfect pointing at the WWF Intercontinental title and warning Steamboat that this is the closest he will come to the title...B+

-And now for something different...

[The show returns from a final commercial break as 'Unstable' begins to play inside the arena. The fans are on their feet as the WWF Heavyweight Champion The Ultimate Warrior runs out from the back. Warrior circles around the ring before sliding inside and grabbing the top rope. He shakes the rope to cheers from the fans. The cameras pan around ringside where several fans are shown wearing facepaint to match The Ultimate Warrior. The music slowly fades out as Warrior is given a microphone.]

[The Ultimate Warrior:] "SPEAK TO ME, WARRIORS!"

[A chant of 'Warrior' begins slowly in the crowd before picking up steam. Warrior makes the gorilla press symbol with his hands as the chant grows louder.]

[The Ultimate Warrior:] "In just a few weeks we will be stepping inside the ring at WrestleMania against a man who believes himself to be a king, Randy Savage. Macho King, look in my eyes so that you know what I am telling you is the truth. At WrestleMania, your kingdom will fall and all of your horses and men won't be able to put you together again. There is room for only one kingdom in the World Wrestling Federation and that is the kingdom built by and for the warriors!" [Warrior snarls and growls!] "When your false kingdom steps in the ring against my warriors you will know what it means to fall victim to the better man. You will feel the wrath of The Ultimate Warrior!"

[The Ultimate Warrior growls into the microphone and beats his chest before he paces for a moment. This gives another 'Warrior' chant an opportunity to grow in the crowd.]

[The Ultimate Warrior:] "But there is another man that I and my warriors must address tonight. I would invite that man to come out to the ring and face me like a man. Hulk Hogan, come out here and step in this ring with me."

[There is a bit of surprise in the crowd and on the announce booth when Warrior invites Hogan to the ring. 'Real American' begins to play and out from the back comes Hulk Hogan himself. Hogan high fives the fans on his way down to the ring. He steps inside and looks around for a moment before being given a microphone.]

[Hulk Hogan:] "What is this all about?"

[The Ultimate Warrior:] "Please play the tape from last week."

[A tape begins to play for the fans at home and on the Titantron. The tape is of the interview that Hulk Hogan and Andre The Giant gave last week. It focuses on when Hogan states 'that he will be ready for a rematch if Savage wins the title at WrestleMania.' The tape ends and The Ultimate Warrior growls into the microphone.]

[The Ultimate Warrior:] "Hulk Hogan, last week, you gave that false king a chance of defeating The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania."

[Hulk Hogan:] "Wait, I can explain, brother..."

[The Ultimate Warrior:] "You don't need to explain, Hulk Hogan. I know that you are envious of The Ultimate Warrior because I am the WWF Heavyweight Champion. I can see your eyes looking at this belt around my waist with jealousy. At last year's WrestleMania, I took you up in a rocket ship and brought it crashing down to the mat. I took this title from you and now you want it back. You don't have to wait until after WrestleMania to get another shot at this title. All you have to do is come out to the ring next week at the end of the night. Right here on Prime Time Wrestling my warriors and I will defend this title against you, Hulk Hogan."

[Hulk Hogan:] "Hulk Hogan versus The Ultimate Warrior for the WWF Heavyweight title next week live here on Prime Time Wrestling, brother? I accept but you have to ask yourself a question, dude. Whatcha gonna do..."

[The Ultimate Warrior reaches out and knocks the microphone away from Hogan before he can finish his catchphrase. Warrior and Hogan go nose-to-nose as the announcers go absolutely crazy. Gorilla Monsoon says that next week is bound to be jam-packed to the rafters when The Ultimate Warrior defends the WWF Heavyweight title against Hulk Hogan. What a road to WrestleMania. As the two wrestlers stand there nose-to-nose, the show comes to a close.]

We have learned that we will be seeing a major promo with the WWF Heavyweight Champion The Ultimate Warrior to end the night. The last time we saw The Ultimate Warrior was at The Wrestling Classic where he successfully defended the WWF Heavyweight title against Sgt. Slaughter. We know that he will take on Randy Savage for the WWF Heavyweight title at WrestleMania VII. Make sure you tune in to find out what The Ultimate Warrior has to say. -Our main event contest will see two veterans of both professional wrestling and the WWF go one on one when Paul Orndorff takes on Ricky Steamboat. Mr. Wonderful made his WWF return at The Wrestling Classic rejoining The Heenan Family. Orndorff will be looking to make an impact on The Dragon as Steamboat will face Orndorff's stablemate, Mr. Perfect, at WrestleMania VII for the Intercontinental title. Both of these men will be looking for momentum moving forward toward WrestleMania. Maybe we will find out what Orndorff will be doing at WrestleMania. Make sure you tune in to the USA network. -Last week, Animal made his return to Prime Time Wrestling. He talked about what happened to his tag team partner, Hawk, before calling out the men who injured Hawk. Demolition came out and it resulted in a beatdown for Smash and Crush on Animal. Moving forward to Superstars, Animal approached Jack Tunney and asked for a match with Demolition on Prime Time Wrestling. Tunney refused to give him a handicap match but did allow him to have a tag team match. He allowed Animal to choose his partner so we will see Animal and a mystery partner against Mr. Fuji's Demolition. Will the Legion of Doom member select a partner that allows him to get revenge on Demolition or will Demolition continue their road of dominance? -Speaking of tag teams, the WWF World Tag Team Champions, The Hart Foundation, will be in action this week as they take on the team of Mike Sharpe and Barry Hardy. The Hart Foundation were victorious at The Wrestling Classic as part of an eight man tag team match. But they will defend the titles at WrestleMania against The Russians. The Harts will be looking to gain some momentum but you know that The Russians will be lurking somewhere, whether it's backstage or at ringside. Will The Harts be overlooking Sharpe and Hardy? Could we see a major upset? -The British Bulldog is celebrating his victory in the ring. The Undertaker runs in and attacks, striking Bulldog in the back of the head with an urn. Undertaker stands tall as we cut away to a video...A*

-In a video, Gene Okerlund hosts the WrestleMania Event Center. Okerlund discusses the upcoming matches at WrestleMania, focusing on the Vince McMahon Senior Memorial Battle Royal. He sends us to a promo with the newest entrant in that battle royal. Buddy Landel says that he might not have proven himself to be the strongest wrestler in the WWF but he will prove himself to be the best when he wins the battle royal. Remember, to be the man, you have to beat the man. Whooo...B+
