Bossman has the nightstick in his right hand as he enters the ring, ducking underneath as Heenan tries to hit him with the belt. He strikes Perfect in the gut with the nightstick, doubling him over. Bossman prepares to strike Perfect again but he gets attacked by two more members of The Heenan Family, Haku and The Barbarian! The crowd boos in the background as Haku strikes Bossman with a headbutt. The Barbarian catches Bossman with a running big boot right before the crowd cheers as Haku and The Barbarian's opponents for tonight, The Legion of Doom, rush the ring! Heenan has seen enough and calls his men to exit the ring without battling the LoD. The Heenan Family back up the ramp together as Hawk and Animal help Big Bossman to his feet. In the background, Vince McMahon lets the fans know that the Big Bossman will be receiving a WWF Intercontinental title shot against Mr. Perfect at the Royal Rumble. Roberts came back for Survivor Series where Martel's team, The Visionaries, defeated Roberts' team, The Vipers. With that having been shown, Okerlund sends us to a promo with The Snake. Jake Roberts is shown standing in front of a snake background. He paces for a moment before looking in the camera. Roberts says that the sad fact in life is that the things that other people do to you not only affect you but they affect everyone around you. He says that loved ones have to take care of you when you're sick or injured. He says that's why he doesn't keep anyone around like that. He doesn't want anyone else to be affected when he gets hurt doing the things that he has to do. But he hopes that Rick Martel has someone like that. He knows that Martel is going to need someone when he finishes The Model off at the Royal Rumble. He tells Martel that if he isn't a coward, he will meet The Snake at the Royal Rumble one on one. These include Haku, The Barbarian, Jake Roberts, Rick Martel, Jimmy Snuka and these two men. He sends us to a promo featuring Jimmy Hart standing by with Earthquake and Dino Bravo. The three men are standing in front of the Earthquake logo with Hart holding his usual megaphone in the air. Hart tells the WWF fans to take a good look at these two men standing with him because one of these two men will win the Royal Rumble this year. He says that last year it took six wrestlers to eliminate Earthquake. This year it will take twenty nine if they want to even have a chance to eliminate Earthquake. Then there's tonight where Earthquake gets his revenge against Hulk Hogan for what happened at SummerSlam. Hart says that it's going to be a 10.0 on the Richter scale tonight when Earthquake destroys the man who all the little Hulksters worship, baby. During the promo, Earthquake and Dino Bravo look menacing in the background. He tells everyone to take a good look at The Warlord because there's no one in this company that's stronger than him. When he steps into the Royal Rumble, they are going to have turn out the lights because the party's over. The promo is interrupted by the arrival of The British Bulldog! Bulldog walks out toward the ring with a microphone, stating that he would like to argue about The Warlord being the strongest man in the WWF. Bulldog enters the ring and flexes his muscles before going face-to-face with The Warlord. After a short staredown, Bulldog throws the first punch 6 foot 5 inch Warlord. Warlord fires back with a punch! The two men go back and forth with punches before Bulldog blocks a punch and fires three in a row, rocking The Warlord backward. Slick quickly steps in between the two wrestlers, distracting The British Bulldog. This distraction allows The Warlord to come back and send Bulldog over the top rope with a clothesline! Bulldog lands on the floor at ringside and The Warlord roars as he celebrates in the ring. He says that there is no way that he is going to be in New Jersey tonight, the armpit of America. Instead, he has been in touch with one of the greatest leaders of the world in Saddam Hussein. He says that after he is victorious at the Royal Rumble, he is going to take the WWF Heavyweight title belt and lay it at the feet of Hussein. He says that The Ultimate Puke has no chance when stepping in the ring with him at the Royal Rumble. When they step in the ring the same thing is going to happen there that is going to happen in Iraq. An American is going to fall to a better man, a better country. He announces that he is dedicating his victory at the Royal Rumble to a good friend and a great ally, the true leader of Iraq: Saddam Hussein. He says that in that moment The Ultimate Puke will be dismissed and that's...an order! The match begins with Haku and Animal in the ring, both trying to show their strength in a tieup. Animal grabs a side headlock and Haku shoots him to the ropes. A shoulderblock from Haku but Animal doesn't sell it at all. Instead, he sticks out his tongue at Haku! Haku bounces off the ropes and Animal throws a shoulderblock that is not sold by Haku! Haku bounces off the ropes again and Animal catches him with a stiff clothesline, sending Haku to the mat. Animal picks up Haku and brings him down with a press slam to the mat! Haku quickly tags in The Barbarian and Animal tags in Hawk. Following some back and forth between the two men, The Barbarian takes control. The Barbarian drags Hawk into the corner and makes quick tags in and out with Haku, keeping a fresh man in the ring and Hawk in their half of the ring. Haku catches Hawk with a flapjack, making a cover but only scoring a two count. The crowd tries to work Hawk back into the match with cheers and claps. Haku tags in The Barbarian and The Barbarian goes for a crescent kick but Hawk manages to duck and catch The Barbarian with a flying shoulderblock that sends The Barbarian through the ropes to the floor, giving Hawk a major opportunity to get to his corner. Bobby Heenan yells at The Barbarian to get up at ringside as Hawk crawls over and manages to tag in Animal, drawing cheers from the crowd.] [Animal enters the ring and goes right after The Barbarian when he comes inside. He throws Barbarian to the ropes and catches him with a snap powerslam, getting a two count because the pinfall is broken up by Haku. Animal picks up The Barbarian and catches him with a swift kick to the gut before bouncing off the ropes and catching him with a running knee to the head. The Barbarian manages to stagger backward and actually tag in Haku. Haku rushes Animal but Animal ducks his head and sends Haku up and over with a back body drop. Animal looks around for a moment before raising up two thumbs! He tags in Hawk and then picks up Haku, placing Haku up on his shoulders! Hawk climbs to the top turnbuckle and looks at Haku for a moment -- Doomsday Device! Haku goes flying off the shoulders of Animal to the mat below. Hawk makes a cover as Animal knocks The Barbarian off the apron: One, Two, Three! A big win for The Legion of Doom! He reminds everyone that the Royal Rumble is coming up at the end of the month and that this features the Royal Rumble match where 30 WWF Superstars will try to win by eliminating their opponents. The only way to win is to throw 29 of your fellow competitors over the top rope and their feet hit the floor. Tunney talks about previous winners of the Royal Rumble, including Jim Duggan winning the first Royal Rumble, Big John Studd winning in 1989 and Hulk Hogan winning last year. He says that in previous years, the winners of these Royal Rumbles received a trophy and bragging rights. But this year he is upping the ante. He says that the winner of this year's Royal Rumble will receive an automatic WWF Heavyweight title shot at WrestleMania. He reminds everyone that the Royal Rumble is every man for himself and only one man can win the biggest prize. Inside the ring, the ring is set up for Piper's Pit with Roddy Piper standing in the middle of the ring. Piper says that the Royal Rumble is now one of the biggest matches in the history of the World Wrestling Federation. But now they are here for the biggest show in the history of the WWF: Piper's Pit. Piper announces that the coward, Sgt. Slaughter, will not be here on the Pit. Instead, he introduces the man who is looking to retain the WWF Heavyweight title at the Royal Rumble, introducing The Ultimate Warrior! The crowd cheers loudly as Warrior comes running in from the back, heading right to the ring. He slides inside and begins shaking the ropes on all four sides before turning his attention to the host of the Pit, Roddy Piper. Piper welcomes Warrior to Piper's Pit, reminding him that just when he thinks he has all the answers, Piper changes the questions. Piper begins by asking Warrior about his upcoming title defense against Sgt. Slaughter at the Royal Rumble. Warrior snarls and says that Sgt. Slaughter has all of his focus on the war in Iraq and not the war inside the WWF ring. He says that there is a war in the heart of Sgt. Slaughter, a man who betrayed his country. That war is between the good man and the bad man. That is a war that can only be won with the total destruction of Sgt. Slaughter. Piper shifts gears slightly and asks Warrior if he knows that Slaughter set up an agreement with Randy Savage for a WWF Heavyweight title shot if Slaughter wins the title. Warrior says that the agreement will be null and void because Slaughter will not walk away from the Royal Rumble with the championship. The crowd boos as she walks down to the ring, stepping up the stairs and then entering the ring. Roddy Piper says that she was never invited here tonight but Sherri responds that women who obey the rules rarely make history. Then she turns her attention to The Ultimate Warrior. She confirms that Sgt. Slaughter agreed to give Randy Savage a WWF Heavyweight title shot if he defeats The Ultimate Warrior at the Royal Rumble. Now, she says, it is time for The Ultimate Warrior to do the same. She claims that she will make it worth Warrior's while if he agrees to that match. At this point, she is definitely invading his personal space as she runs her fingers along his chest. She says that all The Ultimate Warrior has to do is say yes. Warrior grunts as he looks down at Sherri before he gives her the answer that she doesn't want to hear: NO! Sherri immediately looks angered as Warrior turned her down. She slaps him twice but he grabs her wrist as she goes for the third time. He holds that wrist in his hand until he is attacked from behind by Randy Savage! The Macho King strikes Warrior in the back of the head with his sceptor, sending Warrior down to the mat. Savage and Sherri take turns stomping on Warrior as Piper tries to get some order. Instead, Savage swings the sceptor at Piper and the host ducks, escaping from being attacked. Savage picks up Warrior and drops him to the mat with a body slam before heading to the top turnbuckle. Officials come running in to stop Savage but he leaps anyway, striking Warrior with the flying elbow drop! Savage gets on his knees and throws punches before officials finally manage to pull him off. Hogan gets to his feet and then pulls Earthquake up, driving him backward into the turnbuckles. Hogan climbs up and begins raining punches down on Earthquake! The crowd counts along with each punch until Hogan gets to five and Earthquake shoves him off to the mat. Hogan pops back up but runs right into a kick to the gut from Earthquake. Earthquake strikes Hogan with a forearm shot to the back, sending him down to the mat. Earthquake picks up Hogan and tosses him out of the ring before getting the attention of the referee. With the referee distracted, Jimmy Hart slams the megaphone to the back of Hogan. Could we see another count out in this feud? Earthquake stands back and lets the referee do the counting but Hogan makes it back in the ring before the count out. Earthquake continues his control for the next several minutes, focusing on the back of Hogan. He wraps his arms around Hogan in the center of the ring, squeezing him in a bear hug. Hogan shakes his head, refusing to submit. Earthquake squeezes tighter and Hogan looks like he might be passing out. The referee steps in and begins raising Hogan's arm.] [....1.... ....2.... ...Hogan's arm doesn't fall, raising back up to cheers from the crowd] [Hulk Hogan throws three straight punches to Earthquake! Hogan breaks the bear hug and bites Earthquake on the forehead! Earthquake is staggered backward and Jimmy Hart climbs on the apron. Hart has the attention of the referee and then the attention of Hogan. Hart manages to secretly get the megaphone to Earthquake, who bashes it over the back of Hogan's head! Earthquake tosses the megaphone away and brings down Hogan with a body slam before bouncing off the ropes -- Earthquake Splash! Earthquake is settled sitting on Hogan's chest as Jimmy Hart drops off the apron. The referee turns back around and begins making the count: One, Two, HUGE KICKOUT BY HOGAN! Hogan fights up to his knees, shaking his head and beginning to Hulk Up! Earthquake begins throwing punches but Hogan doesn't sell them. Instead, he works his way back up to his feet and then points toward Earthquake. He waves his finger back and forth before blocking a punch from Earthquake! He throws three straight punches, knocking Earthquake back to the ropes. He sends Earthquake to the opposite side -- Big Boot! Earthquake is staggered! There's a little bit of a spoiler. As far as the schedule of PPVs go, there definitely will not be a full 12 month schedule just yet. I want to keep things as realistic as possible. King of the Ring, though, will be getting a pay-per-view all it's own. But that's not for a few months now. Comments: I really, really hate to pick Hogan. I actually liked Hogan growing up, he was my hero. Then I found out what kind of person he really was, and now I pretty much despise him. World Wrestling Federation

-We are on the road to the Royal Rumble this month. This night begins that road on WWF Prime Time Wrestling! As announced this past week, Prime Time will be live from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey! It will be the first live show in the series and there will be more successive live shows as we move forward. It will be hosted by Gorilla Monsoon, Vince McMahon and Roddy Piper.

-The main event will feature two men who have an earnest dislike for each other. Back in May 1990, Earthquake attacked Hulk Hogan and crushed Hogan's ribs. Then Hogan made his return at SummerSlam 1990 when he defeated Earthquake by count out. Now, the two of them meet on the first ever live edition of WWF Prime Time Wrestling. Only one man can come out of this with a win and momentum toward the Royal Rumble. Can you predict which of these two men will win?

-The first hour will, also, see a very good main event match in the tag team division. We will see Haku and The Barbarian of the Bobby Heenan Family take on The Legion of Doom! This match promises to be one of the biggest hardest hitting tag team bouts of the month. The winner of this bout is definitely promised to move up in the tag team rankings and possibly get a future WWF World Tag Team title shot against The Hart Foundation.

-Roddy Piper will host Piper's Pit this week on Prime Time Wrestling. His very special guests will be none other than the WWF Heavyweight Champion The Ultimate Warrior and his challenger at the Royal Rumble, Sgt. Slaughter! Fireworks will definitely be ready to explode on this night with these two men in the very same ring.

-Roddy Piper is not the only one hosting a segment on Prime Time Wrestling, Brother Love will host the Brother Love Show. His special guests will be The Million Dollar Man and Virgil. These two men are scheduled to take on Dusty Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes at the Royal Rumble. What will these two evil men have to say about that upcoming match? Make sure you tune in on Monday night on USA and find out.

-Jack Tunney also plans to make an announcement regarding the Royal Rumble. What will the WWF President have to say when he makes an appearance on Prime Time Wrestling?

Background Information

Good morning/afternoon/prevening/evening to everyone that has taken time out of their lives to take a look at this diary. This diary is angeldelayette presenting his take on World Wrestling Federation beginning in the month of January and the year of 1991. I have done many diaries in the past, both Cornellverse and Real World. My latest diaries ended about three months ago. Though I may go back to them at some point. Those diaries are located here: [WCW 1991] Bischoff Era Begins Early and here: USPW: My Birthday. Though, chances are that those diaries will not be restarted.

I love this time period as it brings me back to my childhood. It is a wonderful time where The Ultimate Warrior is the king of the WWF, Sgt. Slaughter is an Iraqi sympathizing turncoat and Hulkamania is still running wild. I hope to bring a very unique take on this time period as we move forward. I am going to keep this diary as unique to the time period as I can. However, there will be a few changes made.

I have made a couple of changes to the schedule for the World Wrestling Federation. One of them is that WWF Prime Time Wrestling is now the 'A' show. This show takes place Prime Time on the USA Network for 2 hours on Monday nights. It is announced that it will be live every single week. The 'B' show now is WWF Superstars. All other shows have been removed from their show slots.

Hey Togg! I just wanted to start this out by saying that I am definitely reading and enjoying this one. You are definitely a man of many talents. I almost feel bad for Booker T there. But the Big Bang was definitely a great pay-per-view, now let's move on to Nitro.

Without starting a new thread, I figure this might be the best place to ask this question. Does anyone know why Wikipedia has been edited to remove the Finishing Moves and Signature Moves of a lot of the wrestlers? I admit that I use this to help me when writing matches for my diaries. It makes things a whole lot easier when writing the matches.

Comments: It came down to Aaron Andrews and Ricky DeColt for me. Andrews just barely goes over to give him a huge win in his first match and a shot at the Canadian title. Having Steve or Jack beat Aaron Andrews just might put them over huge in the United States.

I don't know a ton about the soulless machine that is NOTBPW but I'm willing to throw in some guesses here. This has a great beginning and it looks like it is going to go as strong as your diaries always do.

Normally, you would go with the named team here but I did enjoy Erik Strong back in the day as a pseudo family member of Sam Strong. So I go with Strong and the Barbadian here.

Hey everyone. I hope you are all having a good morning. It's now been over a month since I have personally signed in to the GDS forum. I wanted to give everyone an update on where we stand with the GDS End Of Year Awards. To be honest, I don't think I am going to be able to give them a full and proper write-up like I would like to do. However, instead of delaying them any further, I am going to work this week to get out an abbreviated version with the winners and the first and second runners up in each category. I will leave a space for any acceptance speeches that anyone wishes to have done and placed inside the post.

Thank you for your patience with this and I hope the results will be worth the wait, especially for the winners.

What I mean by that is, I don't know how many times I'll update. It may go in spurts where I'm really good and then you won't hear from me for a week or two. That said, I really miss writing creatively and I need this outlet. The premises is that the SWF is in dire need of help. Something has happened and the company has suffered because of it (at least in public perception). It'll be set in January of 2016 will be of a modified game-world (really, only changing SWF and its closest competitors). Now, looking up toward their competition more than EVER before, it comes down to one trusted name to save the day. Outside of the initial story-telling scenario of what happened, the rest of the dynasty would be viewer-centered. You wouldn't have a backstage narrator or anything. Instead, it would be solely focused on the characters, the feuds, and the overall TV show product. I find that doing backstage narration can be fun but ALSO adds a lot onto my work-plate. Any interest out there? I know it's the SWF, and I've done a few versions of this (the two that stick out are "SINS of the Father" and "Where Men Becomes LEGENDS") but this version would be different due to the backstory. A couple more things I noticed with the newly updated data...

John Layfield is listed as a default announcer with WWE despite not having a contract with them. This is fixed the first time you start a new game, though.

Kane is listed as being a Smackdown Superstar. He should be set to the Raw brand.

I am sure that this is a debate that many would go back and forth on but listing Kurt Angle as only an authority figure means that he can never wrestle because he cannot be switched to a push that allows him to wrestle. It is easily fixed in individual games and I understand the reasoning behind it. Maybe a better fix would be to make it so he can only wrestle in events? He would still be able to be used in angles on Raw. But I assume this would be just left up to individual games.

Does Paige still have morale issues since she made her return?

I believe Xavier Woods should have his injury removed.

A couple of things I noticed when pulling up WWE and Impact Wrestling:

-Scott Dawson's injury should be done with. He came back on the December 18, 2017 Raw.

-John Cena should be set to 'no brand' since he is considered a 'free agent.'

-Matt and Jeff Hardy should both be on the Raw brand.

-The United States title should be vacant as it was vacated on the most recent episode of Smackdown Live.

-Booker T should probably be set to the Raw brand.

-Sunil Singh should be on the Smackdown brand.

Impact Wrestling:

-According to Wikipedia, Hania The Howling Huntress has signed a contract with Impact Wrestling.

-Not sure who Tony Cage is but he's apparently signed a contract with Impact Wrestling.

-KC Spinelli has signed a contract with Impact Wrestling.

-Not sure what to do with Taya Valkarie and her visa issues.

Those are all small things but I just thought you'd want to know. Thank you, again, for your hard work.

It's been awhile. To be honest, I haven't even come close to sniffing out the boards for a few months now. Truly, I thought I was at a point where I was "done." I felt burnt out and couldn't comprehend having the time to write anything (teaching, being a father, etc.). Ultimately though, I can't seen to "turn off" that creative writing side; especially when it comes to wrestling.

I have a new project that I'm interested in. It's a story I've long thought of but never told. I toyed with it at times but often came back to going toward a different project. Now, I feel like I have the true interest to give it the best go possible.

There will be some edits to the default Cornellverse; however, it's done with a realistic mindset.

I'll give more information in the next few days; however, I wanted to let you know that I am starting my journey back to the GDS boards.

It's great to see you coming back, E-V! You know that I'll be front row, center with a box of popcorn and my own fun fan signs.

Rather than bump two threads to the top, I figured it would be easier to post this here. As of right now, my two diaries, <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=538790" rel="external nofollow">WWE: State Of War [Modern Day]</a> and <a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=538465" rel="external nofollow">USPW: Life In Reverie</a>, have gone on hiatus. I have just not been feeling into them here lately. This could be due to the fact that I am moving into a new house this month so there has been a lot on my mind as my family and I prepare for the move. It could also be due to my depression from losing my job. Thank you to my readers and I hope that I will be able to return sometime soon. In my mind, I have no plans to start any new USPW or modern-day WWE diaries. If I want to go back to those promotions when I return, I will simply return to those diaries I already have started.
