  1. I got to get TNA some credit I am kind of hyped that it is 10-10-10 today and we finally get to see They. That being said I am sick of the 10-10-10 it only happens once every 100 years thing they keep saying. News flash that is true for every date written like that 10-9-10 happens once every 100 years. Plus if they mean the same number for all three then it has happen the last 9 years and will happen the next 2 years.

  4.

I once had a cat named cracker. Seriously. Was awesome.

Had a baby hamster named Pudgy.

    A dog named Psycho EightBall.

Though I am a dog person (cried like a little girl when we put down my dog of 15 years over the summer) my first pet was a cat I named around the time I turned 2. I named him OhOh As you can guess that cat got in a lot of trouble and spent at least 75% of the time outside (living in some near by industrial businesses). Within a few years that area has a ton of stray cats running around.

  5. I get you. I don't get why people give generic names either - a bizarre name to your dog could be the bane of an exciting conversation/story alone.

If I ever have a cat I want to name it Sir Meow Mix. Then when people just call it Meow or Meow Mix I will inform them it is either Sir or Sir Meow Mix. Or I will name it OhOh the 2nd.

But in America... hooooooly crap. The places I've been, y'all keep your tabs well. My whole extended family in Philly is into it, I get that. But I recall when I went to Disneyworld when I was 15, and at three separate times that I was walking amongst the thousands of people in the streets of DW, I sneezed and had random-ass people come up to me to tell me "bless you". I'll never forget that,

Not that way in Minnesota. You may have a friend or a family member say bless you or more common here gazuntite everyone else just ignores it. With the exception of a quiet area with a few people say outside a room 30 minuets before class. It seems if someone sneezes there someone will say something just to start a conversation to get over boredom.

  6. LOL

    Yeah, thats the movie.

And the answer is "sorta". I mean...its not like it really kills them. You can knock them down though. :p

Truely just an awful, awful movie.

I like the ending where its all "He blew up all of LA!" with sticks of dynamite and C4 he planted around town. :D

In that case at least it was laughably bad and wasn’t called I am Legend.

  7. You've clearly never seen "I Am Omega" on the Sci-Fi Channel.

It is not only the worst adaptation of the story, it might be the worst movie ever committed to film. It is in fact so unintionally bad, that its hilariously watchable.

Spoiler: It finally answers the age old question of whether nun-chucks would work on zombie vampyre things.

Wait a minuet is that the one with the iron chef guy? If so saw part of it and had no idea it was based off I am Legend (like I said saw part of it).

Also do nun-chucks work? Got to know so when the zombies come I am ready. I recently (start of may till now) have lost 85 pounds, when people keep asking me why I tell them to get ready for the zombie apocalypse.

Thinking about it people asking me why I am losing weight grinds my gears. What a stupid question it would be one thing if I was in shape and was getting too skinny, making sure I don’t have caner or something. But, if a fat person is losing weight it shouldn’t be asked why. The answer is obvious wants to be healthy and not fat.

  8. Looking through all the vampire talk from months ago reminds me of a movie that grinds my gears. The Will Smith I am Legend. I am Legend may be the greatest vampire book ever written, the Will Smith movie is the worst of the 4 movies I know to be based off (or at least heavily influenced) it (and the only bad one of the lot). The 4 movies are The Last Man on Earth, The Omega Man, Night of the Living Dead, & I am Legend. Of the 4 only the Last Man on Earth is close to being like the book. It is also the only one that having the title I am Legend would actually add up (I will get to this in a sec). The reason The Last Man on Earth isn’t called I am Legend is that the books writer thought they changed too much about it (to the point that though he wrote the script he had his name removed from the credits) so he made them change the title. No way if he was still alive does I am Legend keep that as the title, the writers name ends up no where in the credit, and we don’t get any new release of the book with Will Smith on the cover. It is tragic that those three things happened.

Now to the point about the title not adding up. I am Legend is not only one of the best vampire books ever written, but also one of the smartest. It even talks about why crosses work and even comes to the conclusion that it wouldn’t work on a Jew, but that a Star of David would. The ending is one of them that you read and just sit there for a bit thinking about how incredible of a concept it is. The title is about that concept. Without the concept the title is nonsense. So when they made the new movie and ripped out all that was good about the book they removed the ending and somehow kept the title. Then they tacked on their ending (which is the Omega Man ending) and tried to make it work, but it doesn’t. What really saddens me is a great I am Legend movie could be made, but now it can’t happen for years. I mean for anyone who has read the book imagine a movie true to the book staring Liam Neeson as Neville and Gary Oldman as Cortman.

  9. My Name is Earl was taken off the air because it jumped the shark the moment Earl when to prison. Great show that just become stupid, stupid, stupid. :(

After they got back to it being about Earl and the list (so after his Billy left) it got good again. They also left it on a cliff hanger. Though I blame 30 Rock as it isn't as good as Parks and Rec.

  10. Then Parks and Rec turned out to be great last year. I didn't like the first season but that along with Cougar Town are two shows that started as one thing and found their footing after figuring out what worked and what didn't.

As someone who also did not like Parks and Rec first season (though it had it's moments) and was happy he gave it a 2nd try I might have to start watching Cougar Town, I didn't care for the first 2 episodes and hate the name of the show. Though at least it wasn't as bad as Hank.

Speaking of ABC comedy night, I love Modern Family and like The Middle. Modern Family is just a great combination of perfect acting and perfect writing. The Middle is a show with a horrible lead character I just hate (the mom) yet its supporting characters range from okay (the oldest son) to awesome (Brick) and somehow it makes it a nice watch. Which I have to say is quite weird to watch a show hating the lead character.

  11. I'm not as excited for the new shows this fall as I was last year this time, but Boardwalk is getting a lot of hype. I'm on board for a few episodes regardless to see how it goes, but I'm more nay than yay. Scorsese isn't directly the whole thing, right? Just the first episode? I'm indifferent on Buscemi as a lead too. HBO seems to be hyping this quite a bit, and should be I guess, I'm not a fan of the stuff they have on now so maybe this will sway it. Since Deadwood/Wire went off the air...it's been three years of me skipping HBO.

Other new shows I'm watching out of the gate are...

Lonestar (Monday on FOX at 9)

Hawaii 5.0 (Monday on CBS at 10)

Running Wilde (Tuesday on NBC at 9:30)

All that with Chuck, Community, Fringe, Office, Modern Family, 30 Rock, Cougar Town...then It's Always Sunny and Terriers on right now that is good...there is a lot of TV to watch.

I got to agree that about the lack of excitement for new shows this fall. The only show I seem to have any hope for is Running Wilde. Though that is due to being a big Will Arnett fan and always finding Keri Russell to be just too damn cute.

I already have a new fall show I hate without seeing a single episode Outsourced. Add together commercials without one funny joke and it taking Parks and Recreations place until Midseason and you have one disappointed masterded. I mean Parks and Recreations is the second best show of a great 2-hour comedy block (Community>Parks and Recreations>The Office>30 Rock) and you pick it to be the midseason replacement.

  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Stennick" data-cite="Stennick" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="26106" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I agree with you but think about it like this, very few guys in wrestling actually sell the tickets. In the attitude era did anybody pay to see D Lo Brown? Most likely not but he was still an important part of the roster. <p> </p><p> I see where you're coming from and I agree with you that they lack the name value to carry a promotion but you need worker bees too ya know?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, but that is why I like the cheap $10 Imaginary Indy test. No one payed to see D-Lo Brown (I kind of did as I was a bid D-Lo mark and hew was a top 5 fav, but ignoring that) they would have paid $10 to see him on a cheap Indy, or at least a good number would have more then say a Steve Blackman. So I would say D-Lo is more over then Steve Blackman.</p><p> </p><p> With the worker Bees thing I know you need worker bees I just think on the Indy's now you could go get new worker Bee's that have a better chance of become stars down the road. Though I will say I could see Necro having one more I am crazy and violent run in that buble between the upper mid and main.</p>
  13. You make a good point. I do look at it way too much from my own perspective. I always think of overness as how likely your name is to make someone pay to see a show. With Necro I just don't think his name without the words death match sell a show very well (I don't mean an ROH show I mean like a cheap $10 indy headlined by that person). The same goes to a greater degree with the other wrestling members of the Embassy.
  14. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Stennick" data-cite="Stennick" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="26106" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Anybody that is a star in ROH right now needs to be sticking around, with them losing Tyler, maybe Roderick and Danielson soon as well, the last thing they need to do is go on a firing spree. The Embassy are over, simple as that.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> How are you defining over? I can't think of the last time I heard or saw someone say anything like that Embassy match is a must see or I can't wait to see the Embassy. Much more likely to see dud or skip or something like that (though I don't skip matches unless I have already seen them no matter how bad they are I am weird like that). The only one who even gets a reaction now is Nana. It isn't like we are talking about anyone who is on the rise or even at the top of the midcard. Sure at some point and time they all were higher (except Davari as he is too new to say anything like that about him) but when your big feud is with Grizzly you are not a star or anywhere close to being one.</p><p> </p><p> Sorry if this sounds like I am a snob just trying to explain where I am coming from and trying to figure out where you are coming from.</p>
  15. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="MightyDavidson" data-cite="MightyDavidson" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="26106" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>If we kicked anybody who had a bad match out of ROH, I imagine there wouldn't be anybody IN ROH after a certain point. I mean let's be realistic here, every wrestler has had a bad match now and then and unless their performances have been consistently horrid it's no reason to fire them.<p> </p><p> I've watched many shows with the Embassy on them and I can say, their performances have not been consistently horrid.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> One bad match when has the new Embassy had a good match? The feud with Necro was bad enough now that he is part of them it is even worst. The funny thing is I use to like both Necro and Stevens and think Necro's wrestling (not his hardcore stuff) tends to get underrated. Or at least it use to be that way now I can't stand them. The only one in it I would like to stay would be Davari as I am a fan of him and his brother. In fact I would like to see him team with his brother in ROH. Though I am weird as I would also like to see them try to be faces as we have too many family come from the Middle East so they must be heels in wrestling.</p>
  16. So I rewatched most of the IPPV. The Embassy and everyone in it shouldn't be in ROH. This is also true for everyone feuding with the right now. The Chain match has been the worst match of the Steen Generico feud. The WGTT KoW match should have gone 5 minuets longer. How do you not have a spot where KoW hit a finisher on Hass only for Shelton to springboard hitting both guys stopping any pin attempt? That being said the finish itself was fine just too early in the match. The Main Event was just an average match for the 2 that was involved which is sad as a first title win match and a final send off match. Lastly ROH need Sexy Chucky T bad. How he still isn't there is mind boggling to me.
  17. You are talking about the Stephen King series right? How is that supposed to work, being three movies and two seasons of television. Why don't they just make seven movies? Still yes I am pumped over it, all though I have yet to finish the series.

Yeah the Stephen King books it is going to go Movie, TV season, Movie, TV Season, Movie. They are going to try and do a Lord of the Rings film it all at the same time type of thing (though one season will deal with Roland as a youth like in the books).

I can't say I'm a fan of Ron Howard anymore. The last movie I actually liked from him as a director was Apollo 13 (although I've yet to watch Frost/Nixon so maybe there is hope).

Either way I'm not terribly confident he's the right choice for this.

He talked NBC Universal into green lighting 3 Movies and 2 Seasons of a TV show before scripts casting or anything else went down. He may not have directed anything good in quite some time but his ability to handle a network makes him the right choice.

  18. Was it really? That's kind of surprising to me. I would have expected DBD to have higher numbers, because to me, that show looked far better than this one on paper (and it delivered on its potential, I thought.)

WGTT and a guaranteed Title change was enough for me to buy an IPPV for the first time instead of waiting for the DVD. I would guess that I was not alone and that is why.
