  1. It will only happen when you use massive db's like the "real" database which are only good for small-scale games. The default db should last for many a decade if you disable new companies (and you should). I dont know if editing people's death age to 'much lower' fixes it. But there's too many people in the db after a while. You'll have to switch from booking to watching eventually.
  2. I never go much into detail on storylines as I mainly book performance promotions, but my (short) HGC game also had me sign those exact people: Cat, Wanda, Raven & Farah. They started off as managers until they were ready for some 1v1's and intergender tags. A division came a little later. Raven seemed a fit for Blzbubb, Farah/Victoria for the sports stable, and Wanda for Sam Strong's big friend.
  3. Yeah, I wouldn't do that. People generally aren't interested in a shallow text-based sim (though I did play Promotion Wars when I was young and liked it). There are some MMA games on Steam - even one where you manage a team - but they aren't very good. Several basic features that are bugged. Or it's just too shallow to be interesting. Soccer is WAAAY more popular than MMA. I also doubt the MMA demographic has a big correlation with the gamer demographic.
  4. Some incredible work here on the logos. Personally not a fan of the character render style, but it's indeed stylistically consistent, which is the most important thing.
  5. Been playing sprite-based game for the first time in years, and enjoying it. It's called Symphony of War and it's the closest thing to the old gem "Ogre Battle" for SNES/N64. Loving it so far. I guess it ressembles Fire Emblem a bit as it's a grid-based turn-based combat-like game with several RPG elements, which makes it a nice mix. Also bought the EA UFC 5 game just to get my MMA fix in, but it's an average title so far. Not much new, even the roster is exactly the same. 😅 So not a great deal atm...
  6. You can add EA UFC 5 to that. It's literaly the same game with an updated engine but plays almost the same. I ended up getting it for the slight update to submissions, among some other things, but many call it EA UFC 4.5. Apart from that, there's simply no other games that are worth it. Bit of an underdeveloped market for a sport that is known across the world, albeit non-mainstream. Anyhow: the gameworld of WMMA5 is equipped that it will enrich itself, which is amazing and - if you indeed take a LOT of time to fully immerse yourself in all weights - can be awesome just to watch. The AI is good enough to make for believable events so you don't even have to play it yourself. If I didn't have "new" alternative games to play, I'd just keep playing this. Kinda bummed the series is discontinued. It can still get even better. On a sidenote: you still play CK2? A lot of ppl here played it, but most have moved on to CK3. However, I haven't played in a while because it's a bit "dumbed down" from CK2. But still also very immersive if you ask me. Also better portraits. Plus great mods.
  7. ProFightDB - literaly the first thing you find when you input "Pro Wrestling Results" does a great job of tracking every match, even dark ones. Why would you even begin inputting this TEW? Except of course if you want to contribute to historical mods and want to put all results in. Contact a modder then.
  8. The AI market keeps evolving and these are the current quality renders you can get from simple prompts such as these on Leonardo AI using their new Diffusion XL and Vision XL. "athlete, asian, sports top, shorts, studio lightning, mma gloves" The only thing you have to do is use "image guidance" and upload a portrait pic of UFC fighters. You can populate the real world database with a bunch of these for newly generated fighters. It literaly takes mere minutes to do, spread over multiple days as you only get a limited number a day unless you pay. My guess is the AI just takes them from the UFC pictures anyway. Obviously you need to switch "asian" to whatever country/etnicity you want. Here's what can happen if you use no picture. Sometimes it will be usable, but harder to cut.
  9. You'd have to play historic games like WCW to get there (if the mod is good), or just hire any bad apples in C-verse. I had it happen with '97 TCW aka Hollyweird. It tanks quickly and it's not game-ending or something, but quite a challenge to revert without doing a tabula rasa.
  10. Not themselves, no. But the player can prolong it by talking to them, even if you are employed on the other side of the world.
  11. It's been mentioned several times already. I also enjoyed that game, even though it's normally not my thing. There's a new UFC game coming this month. Honestly I don't really like what I saw in the beta. And most likely they didn't listen to the fanbase and offline play once again gets the boot. Couldn't they learn from the WWE games? Nobody plays that online yet many still play it, even though half their roster is fired atm.
  12. Fixed that for you. I didn't end up buying Street Fighter as the game just isn't for me (too wacky), despite the simplified controls. MK1 might do it on the grounds that it's a reboot and the style is just iconic. Also a great F-Zero fan and I must say that the concept of a battle royal is quite exciting. It's a logical step given the current gaming climate. Graphical improvements won't really matter much as the game is so speedy you'll barely notice anyway. [edit] Also: it's free! Honestly F0GX for Gamecube is one of the only games I still have (alongside the awesome WWE games). It's near perfect as it is actually. Why want a new game? You know almost for a fact that new games or rehashes are - almost by definition - going to be worse. Let's hope MK1 won't be (though I guess purist probably won't like it due to characters' looks changes). (edit) Saw the characters in character select and they once again prove they are the masters of character design. Raiden's costume was a bit disappointing, but i'm nearly sure the original one is an alternate.
  13. As far as morale is concerned: did anyone ever witness effects from it? I've been actively trying to get fighters to the lowest morale, but it's a very hard thing to do.
  14. Just saw that Pepsi Plunge spot and boy did it suck. It looked like crap and could've gone horribly wrong.
  15. True and true. During their golden age (imo), their women's division wasn't much (Mickie James kinda kickstarted it) though. But they did produce great shows in succession. Interesting idea to have the main eventers on the pre-show to hype it. Only watched Hook vs Jungle Boy so far and it was... not good. So not watching the PPV as they still haven't quite reeled me in. Some interesting stories though in the last two matches. Someone plz count the superkicks for me.
  16. So far it has indeed been a fine experience, though I've lost my edge and had to put difficulty down to easy. So far the fans love them so much that they got away with releasing a hotfix that somehow breaks saves, or something. I'll wait a while before playing more. It didn't happen, right? They did it right and went for the early access, to appease the impatient and make sure to get such a complicated game right.
  17. People literally mentioned it in their post. Don't make it too complicated like people on the internet suggest. It won't make a difference. Just try until you get a good one and then use that as a basis to change face and small clothing details. Some more from Leonardo with SD2.1:
  18. This is the TEW20 forums man... like the rest of us, why don't you just play the game and do a better job? This is why a lot of people got here in the first place. 😎
  19. I tried the new DC cardgame but fundamentally its just too uninteresting to sink my teeth in. Lotd of "been there, done tgat". Only interesting feature is the PvE or offline play, using real comics with slight animations for immersion. Nice. Ended up getting BG3 as i was bound to get it eventually. Will play tomorrow, if i geg through the character creator. 😅
  20. Yeah that's the thing. Most of the "great" games nowadays suck you in and you should occupy most of your free time with them for a concentrated period. If you don't there's indeed no point to playing an rpg. I don't think i can do that a lot anymore. Ill buy it for sure though as i thirst for Forgotten Realms lore. 😛
  21. Yeah, you do make a good point. I totally forgot about Rareware. But I'm shooting for them just buying it merely for the exclusive rights. Any meddling would obviously be negative.
  22. I don't care as I play on pc exclusively. Honestly exclusives should be easier to program and turn out better. Plus Sony has the tendency to not release on pc eventually so they invited this on themselves.
  23. Why do they even still call it that? If you want to break with the past, just name it differently. Just "AEW World Title"? People had the same problem with Rey Mysterio in WWE years ago. Would've been avoided if its name was different. It's stupid anyway as there's no weight limits put in place, so why reference weight at all? I guess it was a nod to boxing when pro wrestling first debuted.
