  1. Hey all, how about that MLW One Shot, huh? Our best show in my young history as MLW Owner. For those that haven't figured it out, we have 3 major storylines going right now, the Riddle-Hager feud, the Blondes-Cade and Yuta feud, and the Lance Anao'i losing streak. As soon as those end, I will add more. Going on the suggestions of someone, I'm looking to have at least 4 or 5 storylines going, some will be title storylines, some will be others. In other news, MLW will be going old school soon, as I am in contract talks with 2 performers to bring them in as jobbers, and I have 2 guys on the current roster that I have restructured their contract and they will be jobbers. It won't take long to figure out the 4 guys that are jobbers, as they will be showcased most every week. We are moving forward, I'm always looking to hire new talent, but I'm taking Bruce Pritchard off of shows for the time being. Bruce is costing me a lot of money to use, and I can save him for events, save some money during the weekly shows, and I can road agent them all myself. I'm also going to do the same thing with my referees. Instead of paying 2 referees every tv show, I will have them switch off on MLW Fusions, and of course they will both be used for the big events. The alliance that we have has us back in the black, as we made a $128,199 profit in September, and we currently have $125,000 ish in the bank. Our promotion ranking continues to go up, we're ranked 42nd now. A nice jump from the 50 we were at just a couple months ago. We have the size to be a regional company, but right now I've locked us into being a small company. Until we get to the point where we are averaging 1,000 to 1,500 fans a show, and until we have the money situation a little better, I like where we are at. Now, on to some sad news. The wrestling world lost a great one last week. My buddy, good Ol J.R, Jim ross, passed away at the age of 66. He actually passed away a couple of days before MLW One Shot, but I didn't get the news until after the show. I am looking at having some kind of memorial for him at our next big MLW event. That's all. Another month of shows to plan, so let me get down to business. As always, I want to hear from all my great fans. If you have comments, questions, or concerns, bring them my way.
  2. Prediction Contest Results MLW One Shot BHK1978- 6 points Theheel- 5 points brianc2008- 4 points Powerbrock100- 3 points Overall BHK1978- 13 points brianc2008- 12 points Theheel- 9 points Martel123- 5 points Powerbrock100- 5 points Warhawk8492- 3 points RyanR93WKU- 2 points As far as prizes, with 2 shows left, this is how the prizes are going to be set up: Each prediction contest will last 6 months, January-June and July-December. I think what I'm going to do is have my MLW Battle Riot (equivalent to the Royal Rumble) in July, and have the MLW King of the Mountain Tournament (gotta have the Jarrett reference in there) in January. That way it'll be opposite of what the WWE has. For every prediction contest, this will be the set-up: Winner gets 3 picks in the King of the Mountain or Battle Riot, plus gets to suggest 2 workers for me to sign. 2nd place gets 2 picks, and gets to suggest 1 worker. 3rd place gets 1 pick. If we have a tie, then I am open to suggestions on tiebreakers. Maybe the first tiebreaker would be who gets the most bonus questions right. You can PM me or your suggestions or just tell them to me on here. As it stands, we have a tight race with 2 shows left.
  3. Thanks for the words! DDP just seemed like the best choice. The beauty of writing out the big events in more detail is that I can improvise. Obviously the game didn't simulate a Low-Ki pride stunt, I wrote that in myself. Just feel it adds a little bit to the big events and I don't have to write a book lol. I'm really enjoying writing this dynasty, and it's fun coming up with the Schiavone-Striker exchanges
  4. MLW One Shot Sunday, Week 2, October 2018 Center Stage (Theater)- Atlanta, GA Show Attendance: 837 Shown on: Twitch Show Announcers: Tony Schiavone and Matt Striker Schiavone: - "Welcome to MLW One Shot and what a night we have in store for you. 2 huge grudge matches, one to be held in a cage." Striker: - "The question on everybody's mind though, Tony, is who has our boss Jeff Jarrett hired to be the MLW Commissioner? The possibility are endless!" Schiavone: - "Great question Matt, all we know is that it is a former WCW World Champion. That leaves a lot of possibilities. But we'll get to that later. Right now, let's get down to the ring for our first match!" Schiavone: - "That bastard! What a cheap way to get a victory! Striker: - "What are you complaining about Tony? What do you expect him to do? Stand there and let Sammy get the pin? And you call yourself a wrestling genius. Schiavone: - "Well.. no...but.. ah forget it folks, there's no arguing with you Matt." Striker: - "Because I'm right and you're wrong, like usual." *Schiavone throws his script up in the air in frustration. Schiavone: - "I give up! Let's watch this video." Striker: - "This one could and should be a war." Schiavone: - "You mean we actually agree on something? Amazing. Let's go to the ring." Striker: - "Now what do you call that Tony? What a cheap shot! Throw her out of the building. Or better yet, give Parker 5 minutes alone with her." Schiavone: - "There you go again, advocating violence against women. Besides, it wouldn't have happened if Parker wouldn't have tried to get involved. He got what he deserved." Striker: - "Hey, if she strikes first, the woman deserves what she gets. I don't know what it's going to take to settle this feud, but it's definitely not over." Schiavone: - "Maybe putting them in a cage is the only way. Time for our next match!" Striker: - "Tony, we could be looking at a future MLW World Champ right there. Tommy Mercer looks very impressive." Schiavone: - "He's had success in other companies, and he's definitely on the path for success here. It's time for our second title match of the evening. Down to the ring!" Schiavone: - "Matt, it's quite possible that these guys could be the tag champs for many more years to come." Striker: - "I agree Tony, they are good, but let's not get carried away. There are other really good teams out there, and you know our boss will do his very best to continue to bring in the best competition he can find." Schiavone: - "Speaking of competition, our final title match of the night is about to get underway, and this one is also going to be a war." Striker: - "What a huge mistake by Low-Ki. He had a chance to win back the title, but instead he decided to gloat. That attitude is the reason he is not the champ today. Schiavone: - "Matt, I believe it was you who said when you have a man down, you take advantage. Low-Ki didn't, Jeff Cobb did, and the result is a successful title defense. *At this point, the theme song for MVP started playing.* Schiavone: - "What the hell? This isn't on the format!" Striker: - "Look Tony, there he is!! MVP in the hizhouse!" Schiavone: "Matt, never say that again. For your own good." Striker: - "Wow Tony, MVP has just challenged our MLW World Heavyweight Champion. What a match that would be." Schiavone: - "I don't know who our new Commissioner will be, but it looks like he's going to have a decision on his plate right off the bat!" Striker: - "That is yet to come, but we still have another match first. I'm stealing your line Tony, let's get to the ring!" Schiavone: - Oh good grief! Would Hager show a little bit of class? He beat an already injured man. I'd call it half a victory. Striker: - "Hey, a victory is still a victory. If Riddle was stupid enough to get in the ring...…" *At that point, Striker was interrupted with the theme music "It's Me, It's Me, It's DD..P!" Schiavone: - "Oh my god! Could it be! It is! DDP!" Striker: - "What is he doing here? And couldn't he have the decency to at least let me finish what I was saying? What a jerk!" "So, earlier this week my buddy Double J called me up. Said he was having some problems in his new promotion. People running ragged, fights backstage, attacks, managers interfering. Hey, I've been on both sides of the law, so I know how it works. But now... well, I am the LAW! You see, everybody had their ideas for who the new MLW Commish would be. If you geniuses haven't figured it out yet, the new MLW commish is.. me, DDP! And I'm going to make the tough decisions. I'm not only going to be the commish, I'm going to be an enforcer if need be. And why don't I start by making my first decision, right now! Our next big event is in exactly one month. It's called MLW Clock Strikes Twelve. On that event, Jeff Cobb will defend the MLW World Heavyweight Championship against the man that challenged him earlier, none other than MVP! Now, that's all I got to say right now, but if anybody thinks they are going to come in here and challenge my authority, think again.* (54) Schiavone: - "So DDP is our new commissioner! What a signing by the boss!" Striker: - "The MLW locker room has no idea what they are in for. DDP has seen it all, done it all. There are definitely gonna be some changes." Schiavone: - "Fans, what a show. We'll see you on MLW Fusion. Good night!" Final Show Rating: 53
  5. So I've autobooked the first few weeks of my RTG, and will continue to autobook. Definitely going to have to sign some new workers because I've had the same matches 3 or 4 times now. Despite that, I have 2 questions regarding my user character: 1. Does autobook ever book the user character into the show? I've had to manually insert my character into a match or angle on every single show. Not a big deal, and probably better that I actually book my own character, but was just curious. 2. With my characters scouting levels all at 10, will my character start seeing an increase in skills on his own, or will I have to manually increase the skills myself? I would have thought that by now, at least one skill would have increased some. Thanks.
  6. Guys I apologize, the last week has not been good. We lost internet at the house for a few days, and I was planning on running MLW One Shot today. But a personal issue after work has gotten me down to the point where I really just don't feel like it today. On the bright side, this gives people more time to get their predictions in. Provided tomorrow is a good day, I will have MLW One Shot up tomorrow. If not, we will try for Wednesday. I can promise you this, it WILL be up this week, one way or another.
  7. <p>Welcome to the RTG world 18 year old rookie Mike Schaplowsky. 8. So I just came across this challenge. It's.. interesting to say the least. I'm contemplating trying it, but I have a feeling I'd cheat as soon as the money got too low lol. Plus I'd book myself to win every single match.
  9. MLW One Shot Preview The 3rd big event under the Jeff Jarrett regime is set, and here's a short preview of the event that will have 6 big matches. -- MLW Management has granted Low-Ki his rematch against Jeff Cobb for the MLW World Heavyweight Title, and it will in fact be in a cage. It will be a modern cage match, meaning the match can be won by normal pinfall or submission, or by escaping the cage either through the door or over the top. Can Cobb successfully defend, or will he lose it in his first defense? -- With 2 seemingly qualified #1 contenders for the MLW World Middleweight Title, MLW management made the only decision they could. MLW World Middleweight Champion MJF will defend in a Triple Threat match against Rich Swann and Sammy Guevara. Unfortunately, Twitch rejected MLW's request to make this a ladder match (Twitch will allow a cage match, but not a ladder match? Ok then), the match will be a standard Triple Threat match. First one to score a pinfall or submission wins. -- MLW World Tag Team Champions The Lucha Bros have defeated almost every tag team on the MLW roster. Because of that, MLW management worked out a deal with Impact Wrestling to bring OVE in, and they will face the Lucha Bros in an MLW World Tag Team Title Match. -- Given the option, Matt Riddle insists on going forward with the submission match against Jake Hager, saying his ankle feels good enough to go. The match is on for MLW One Shot. -- They've been involved in a feud for weeks now, and MLW management has made the match official. Cade and Yuta will again take on The Dirty Blondes in tag team action. -- Joey Janela has taken to twitter with some very unpleasant comments about one Tommy Mercer, calling his time in Impact Wrestling a complete joke. Mercer didn't take too kindly and went to MLW management, and they were quick to sign the match. Mercer now has his chance to get his hands on "The Bad Boy". -- All this, and we're being told that MLW has hired a commissioner to oversee some of the goings on in the ring, freeing MLW owner Jeff Jarrett to concentrate on the business side of things. We're being told this new commissioner has been in the business for over 30 years, and is a former WCW champion, among the many titles he has held. Who did Jarrett hire? We'll have the answer at MLW One Shot. Match Card MLW World Heavyweight Title Match - Cage Match Jeff Cobb © vs. Low-Ki Comments: MLW World Middleweight Title Match - Triple Threat Rules MJF © vs. Rich Swann vs. Sammy Guevara Comments: MLW World Tag Team Title Match Lucha Bros © vs. OVE Comments: Submission Match Matt Riddle vs. Jake Hager Comments: Tag Team Grudge Match Cade and Yuta vs. The Dirty Blondes Comments: Tommy Mercer vs. Joey Janela Comments: bonus - Who will be named the new MLW Commissioner? 10. <p>Running an MLW save, currently in October 2018, using the WWE split mod (can't remember the actual name of the mod, but the one where all the WWE shows are broken down into their own separate promotion). 3 questions:</p><p> </p><p> 1. Trying to come up with 4 or 5 talents that can be used as jobbers. I know, the short answer is I could pretty much pick anybody and make them a jobber, but I want to find guys that won't complain about losing every match. Any suggestions?</p><p> </p><p> 2. Trying to find a new opponent for a main event title feud. Current champ is Jeff Cobb. Possible options currently on the roster are MVP, "Filthy" Tom Lawlor, and Tommy Mercer. I don't want to sign anybody new for the main event scene right now because I have more than enough capable guys.</p><p> </p><p> 3. Right now, my MLW Tag Team champs are the Lucha Bros. Trying to find some teams to feud with them. I can throw some guys together on the current roster, but my best bet is going to be to sign some experienced tag teams, as in my save, no tag team on the MLW roster really matches up with the Lucha Bros. I could always bring in LAX, but that's been done in real life. Any ideas, I would sure appreciate it. Thanks.</p>

  13. I have a couple shows coming up this week, but I'm going out of the role of Double J for this one. I have some ooc questions I'd like to ask, some things I'm thinking about adding to this dynasty and I'd like some votes on whether to add them. 1. I've been going back and forth on adding an on-screen authority figure, or just sticking with the common "MLW Management has ordered". Thoughts? 2. Because there are so many members of the roster I'd like to see have success, I'm thinking about adding a handful of jobbers to the roster, just like old Prime Time Wrestling used to be. Thoughts? 3. In addition to the King of the Mountain tournament, I'm also considering a prospects tournament, where I bring in guys that either are under a certain age and/or have certain number of years or less experience, then running a tournament where the winner gets a roster spot. Thoughts on this? 4. At the beginning of every month, I'm considering not only showing the roster again, but also recapping the storylines I'm doing. Showing the storyline and the angles/matches within the storyline. Would anybody be interested in this or should I continue as I have been? Thanks for your input everybody, as I said, shows will be up very soon. At least 1, maybe even 2, today.
  14. apologies if this has been asked before, but are real world mods going to be able to be transferred over to TEW 2020. For example, the mods I have downloaded for the current version of TEW, will they work for TEW 2020? Or would I be stuck playing the C-Verse until a real world mod does come out?
  15. I appreciate the responses, thanks. Unfortunately, there is too much still going on this week so I'm likely to not get any shows in. However, next week I plan on coming back and running at least 3 shows and finishing up the current month. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience.
  16. Can you tell me what mod you're using for this? I didn't realize there was a 1989 mod
  17. For those still following, I will be running my next show on Monday. This week has just not been good, I had a couple incidents at the job that temporarily trigged my depression issues and I just needed to take a break from everything. I'm definitely going to jump back into this on Monday though, thanks for your patience.

  20. Double J here, reporting in after another solid event. The final show rating was slightly higher than our first big event, MLW Summer Apocalypse, but it's a bit concerning that we have had 4 episodes of MLW Fusion that rated higher than our 2 big events. Now I realize that I've never completely been in charge of booking, and that I have to get better, but hey, the fans are ecstatic right now about our company and that's all that matters. How about that title change, huh? Jeff Cobb, new MLW World Heavyweight Champion. Some people are asking why. Well, it was time for a change, I see a lot of upside in Cobb. Now, will he hold the belt for long? That's a question that only I can answer.... and I'm not ready to answer it yet. Those of you who have been following know how I book.. strictly on the fly. That's not going to change. Now to the bad points of MLW Psycho Circus. My boy Rich Swann, who won the 3 way elimination match to becoming #1 contender for the MLW World Middleweight Title. Unfortunately, his title shot is going to have to wait a few weeks. You see, he suffered a Grade II Hamstring Strain last night and is out of action for the next 3 weeks. Never fear though, I've got other plans for MJF in the process, and Rich will get his shot when he comes back. Unfortunately, the reason he was injured was a botched moved by Fred Yehi. Look, I get it, nobody is perfect. These aren't the best of the best that I'm working with. But we have to get better. 2 big events, 2 botches or near botches that have resulted in injuries or near injuries. This pattern can't go on, and if I have to hit the free agent wire to find some safer workers, I will. Hey, Ol Double J invested a lot into this company. Speaking of which, MLW is now in the red. I realize I could pull us out of that red, I've got the money to do so, but I don't want to do that, not yet. So what I've done instead, is create an alliance with Impact Wrestling and House of Hardcore. I will be looking to add other companies to the alliance. The terms are simple, we split the pots, which should help us build up money again, and we are able to trade talent. There will be no alliance titles, at least not at this time. There may be in the future. Alright, ol Double J needs to get back to work planning the next show. It could be up as early as tonight. Stay tuned!

Unfortunately, someone had to be eliminated first, and that came when <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Yehi was able to get a little revenge on Pillman from his loss to him at MLW Summer Apocalypse, pinning Pillman</span>. That left Swann and Yehi, and the 2 battled. Yehi put on a great show, but in the end <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Swann was just too much, and he got the pin, winning the elimination match and earning a shot at the MLW World Middleweight Title</span>. (43)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Schiavone:</strong> - "What a match we are going to have between MJF and Rich Swann. That will be sensational."</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Striker:</strong> - "Oh, it will be alright, but you know as well as I do that MJF is better than Rich Swann. But Jake Hager, if you think this is over, you got another thing coming. We both have MMA experience, so let's go back to our roots. When, and it will be sooner rather than later, but when I'm healthy again, how about we have a good old fashioned MMA match. In fact, we'll make it a submission match. How about it? You up for it, punk?</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jarrett:</strong> - "Wow, Matt Riddle has just challenged Jake Hager to a submission match. Back to you Tony, and Matt." There were some awkward moments between Penta and Salina, and Rebel Cell showed a little bit of ring rust, but still a great match. Once again, <span style="text-decoration:underline;">the Top Rope Styles Clash from Penta proved to be too much, as he was able to hit Shad Gaspard with it to get the pin as the Lucha Brothers retain once again!</span> The fans stood and applauded this great match. But the action was intense. It looked like Low-Ki was about to wrap up another successful title defense when he got over confident. After a good hard kick to Cobb, Low-Ki pranced around the ring, hit the ropes, and came off, <span style="text-decoration:underline;">just in time for Cobb to recover and hit Low-Ki with a Flipping Bodyslam!
