It seems to me Wyatt is not completely natural when speaks. Probably it's the character he portrays that limits his promo abilities.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Really? He comes off as an amazingly natural speaker to me. His promos have been some of the best moments since I started watching wrestling again.</p>
  2. I haven't played much of State of Decay, but what I have is pretty good. It seems to be along the lines of what people were hoping Dead Island would be. Finally got Dark Souls II and it's just as awesome as the first. I am kind of annoyed about how the obnoxious fandom has turned a lot of people off from trying the game. It's not "LOL so hard gaiz!" like these idiots will say, because I can actually advance in Dark Souls, and I'm not that good at most games. It's tough and frustrating, but it's fair. The enemies all have to abide by the same rules as you, and the bosses have exploitable patterns like in old NES games. And it's a slow paced game, so when you die, nine times out of ten it's your fault for not being careful (the other one is your first fight with a boss). Essentially, Dark Souls is about the satisfaction of getting past something difficult, than just about making you feel "so much more hardcore than the filthy casuals".
  3. I have some very harsh opinions of Christopher Paolini that are probably better left unsaid, but honestly, if you like any kind of fantasy story, you should watch or read at least some of Lord of the Rings. It did establish the foundation of all fantasy in the last 60 years after all.

God forbid we actually enjoy ourselves at a superhero movie.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Oh for the love of...can somebody get Mark Waid and Alex Ross in here before Snyder single-handedly brings the Dark Age into films?</p>

Imagine the horror opportunities without even having to resort any supernatural elements.</p>

About a month ago they had the strongest tag team division in about 10 years then they start breaking up most of the teams. They have some good talent that they don't use properly or enough. For example Dolph Ziggler the crowd loves him but he's never in any hunt for a title or has any good story lines. At least the Diva division seems to be getting better. Also they need to bring back War Games that was the best match WCW had and would be cool to see Evolution and Kane vs. The Shield and Daniel Bryan in War Games.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The biggest question with that is, can creative can come up with enough stories for more of the roster without producing wrestlecrap on a regular basis? A War Games match seems possible though, I've read before that Hunter is a huge NWA mark and has been pulling for a War Games-type match for years.</p>

  8. I think this is starting to get out of hand, so let's all make our closing arguments before something current gets lost in the shuffle of all our arguing. I guess I did exaggerate a bit by saying he was never the top guy. Hogan was the man to audiences outside the south and booking team treated him as such. But, at least in my opinion, he wasn't nearly as loved in the south aka: WCW's home turf. I didn't even say that his heel turn hurt business, in fact it helped WCW because of how the southern fans hated him, they didn't just hate Hogan himself, they hated what he embodied at the time, Vince's takeover in the 80's. Because a lot of the people in the crowd were raised on nothing but old school wrestling, and Hogan was the man who, in their eyes, helped nearly take all of it away from them. In essence, to many people in the WCW audience anytime they were anywhere between DC and Jacksonville, Hogan was the WWF in human form.So when they turned him heel, it did mega (that still feels like an understatement) business because not only did they have the usual "Betrayal!" cries from his fans, they had the "I knew he was an ass!" cries from his detractors. It, either intentionally or unintentionally, took advantage of nearly every way a heel turn could go well, all at once. My point was that, while doing all this, they had a safety net in Sting (alongside Luger, who I forgot about) as a top guy, perhaps not the top guy, but close enough to it that the fans upset about Hogan had a guy they could reasonably believe in to fight him and in doing so, buy enough merch to supplant what they (initially) lost with Hogan's turn. And I personally don't think WWE has anyone remotely close to Cena's enduring popularity, as much as I hope Bryan can prove me wrong.

Hogan did it, quite a few decades of wrestling has a guy who is the #1 guy for years, he steps down they find another.<p> Not to hard, they do it cause it works, its easy, and makes sure you have merc to sale</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Hogan did it because he wasn't, no matter what he will claim, the top guy in WCW. They had Sting already secured in that spot before Hogan even arrived. And Hogan wasn't exactly popular with WCW fans to begin with, turning him heel was more in response to the whole southern (barring Florida) audience despising him and not buying his merch than the smarks in the crowd finding him boring.</p>

People kept telling me it was really short, but it took me about 6 sittings over 3 weeks so that's a good length for me. When it ended I just kinda had to sit quietly for a while and do some thinking. It... Yeah. Might read up on the game later. Not 100% I understood everything that was going on.<p> </p><p> Planned to get some work done tonight, but... Gee whiz. I don't think that's gonna happen.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, Infinite is kind of a mind screw. I also agree on the length, and it was paced fine as well so I don't really see why it needed to be longer.</p>
  11. Michael Bennett still has a job? Did I miss him finally not sticking out like a sore thumb in ROH at some point?
  12. I think saying Cena should turn heel is like saying Batman should start killing people. It seems like an interesting twist on paper, but once you start thinking about it, you realize how little longevity there is in such a thing. How many interesting stories can you pull out of either? One, two if you're lucky? No matter what you do, all you're going to end up doing is temporarily please some of the most unpleasable fans in the world, several of whom never gave you money in the first place (and never will) and spurn the people who actually enjoy your product and actually give you money.

The kebab-snippet at the end of the credits of Avengers had me rofl for about half an hour. I do get people getting upset because they were talking about food during the 'final battle', which is of course... completely ridiculous. Then again, the true superhero movies are always ridiculous. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> That's why I prefer Batman: it has a cloak of realism.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I say this as a Batman fan. The 11 guys aren't as important as establishing the power Triple H has and what the odds against The Shield are. The Shield not only has to go through Batista and Orton but through all the heels on the roster to get to Triple H. The only person backstage who kayfabe can lead the babyfaces if John Cena (since DB wasn't there) but John has no beef with Triple H and isn't on friendly terms with The Shield plus has to worry about the Wyatts. The Shield are being portrayed as top babyfaces as a group and including other faces will just pull the spotlight from them. <p> </p><p> Since Cesaro wasn't on the heel faction then it establishes that WWE is portraying Cesaro as a face even with Paul Heyman as the manager and him facing babyfaces.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, I'm probably just overthinking this.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="lazorbeak" data-cite="lazorbeak" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Don't worry, Sting is close to signing. They only care about themselves and no one else. The only reason they helped Daniel Bryan is because he was fighting the same opponents he was. The Shield doesn't ask or need allies. They rely on themselves and it creates a good brotherly dynamic between them.</div></blockquote><p> I suppose so. I just feel that if you're going to show this massive heel unity, then at least show one face (aside from the one/s getting his/their asses kicked) who disagrees. I don't think this made the Shield look weak in any way, but I think it makes the rest of the roster look like cowards for not even saying something.</p>
  17. It just felt like someone should have at least come out and said "This isn't right" or something and then have Hunter intimidate them into backing down.

Her tag match with Santino last year was actually super over and worked pretty well for being gimmicky, she had some pretty good matches with Summer Rae and a few others where she went longer than two minutes. I agree that TV Emma has been pretty mediocre though, but that might just be that she's stuck with Santino, who can occasionally be funny but is just grating 90% of the time.</div></blockquote><p> ...I'm gonna let the pun slide this one time. I probably am the only one. Maybe down the road, she'll have a match that changes my mind, I wouldn't exactly be surprised, I change my mind more often than most people change their underwear.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Rickymex" data-cite="Rickymex" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Yeah was extremely weirded out by that. Paige is a badass. Her debut should have just been coming out trying to say something when AJ just keeps shutting her down without letting her say a single word, challenged her, and then have an actual match. Hot pale chick with super black hair who doesn't say a single word and kicks ass is just perfect.</div></blockquote><p> That would have been perfect!</p>
  19. <p>I love the fact that Paige is the champ. It does irk me that they seem to have made her a nervous fan girl though, especially with her "not being ready" for a title match. It just seemed out-of-character from how they established her on NXT.</p><p> </p><p> And am I the only one who doesn't find Emma entertaining? Maybe I just missed her best moments, but I've never seen anything I liked about her, I haven't seen a match of hers where she seemed anything more than competent (though I suppose that's still an achievement for the average Diva) and her dancing makes her look like a narcoleptic raver who just took too much acid. I like watching NXT, but whenever her music starts playing, I just skip ahead, unless Paige is involved.</p>

If you haven't then Dreamfall won't make as much sense.
