  1. <p>For me, the new UI will probably take some getting used to, but I'm sure I'm more than up to the task. I haven't really started a game yet, but I do love the changes to the CornellVerse that I've noticed so far. Really love the merger of NOTBPW and CGC into the CWA. Might be too early to tell, but I think this company might have finally upended TCW's applecart as the promotion I like to play as. We'll see.</p><p> </p><p> Looking forward to diving even deeper into the game. Good times are coming, for sure.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  2. I prefer blurries myself, (should probably change my name to Blu Ray Warrior at this point), but I'll still pick up the occasional DVD when I find it, if it's hard to come by or not available on the Blu. Got Ace Ventura: Pet Detective that way a couple weeks ago. Surprised I didn't have that one in the collection already, much as I love the 90s. Pretty good set of pick ups there, Hook was definitely a favorite of mine when I was a kid.

Can't wait for that one. Also, the Homeward Bound movies are coming, I think, May 1st as well, and The Mighty Ducks movies and Adventures In Babysitting will be there..... sooner or later. As a kid of the 80s and 90s, I love all those movies a lot.</p><p> </p><p> I know lots and lots of people signed up for Disney+ because of The Mandalorian, and that show is a good one, I'm a fan, but it was all these movies I loved so much as a kid that really drew me into the fold.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  5. I thought that sounded a lot like something you might find in a wrestling video game, rather than on an actual wrestling show. Could be interesting. It's definitely different.
  6. I was about to say I have, but I think the game I was thinking of is Horizon: Zero Dawn. I've been playing that - didn't really know anything about it before I got my PS4, which had it along with God of War and The Last Of Us. New Horizon, sadly, is one I still haven't heard much about just yet, (I've kind of been out of the loop for a while now - didn't think I was ever gonna be able to get a new console till all of a sudden, I was - ). So... I broke down and bought WWE 2K20 the other day. Like everyone else, I'd heard that the game was a big ol' glitchy mess, but there was a WrestleMania sale on, and it was on sale for like 70% off, and I figured why not? Honestly... I haven't even been close to disappointed. I don't know if the game was glitchy as hell and they've fixed it, or if the game was a little glitchy and people just over-reacted to it... but so far, I've had nothing but fun with it. Only had one or two minor glitches myself - that weird thing with the middle rope has happened twice so far - but nothing that's in any way hampered the experience for me. Definitely not as bad as I've heard people say, I've very much enjoyed the game so far. I've even invested in some of the DLC - I've unlocked the Wasteland arenas, (both of them), and the futuristic Neo-Osaka arena, (which I absolutely love). Unlocked The Fiend the other day, and I'm about to work on the Bump In The Night arenas now in a minute. One thing I'm curious about. Everything I've seen tells me that X-Pac is supposed to be in this game somewhere. He even makes an appearance in the little video they have on loop behind the options screen. But so far, I haven't seen hide nor hair of him anywhere. Don't know if he's an unlockable character or what. Also surprised that Walter isn't in there. I've since found out that he wasn't supposed to be, but still... a Walter vs. Samoa Joe showdown was something I was thinking about. Maybe next year, oh well. :D:o
  7. Oh, I get that dated reference, and I approve! I find that I agree with Jim Cornette on a lot of things. Is it weird that I love Jim Cornette and AEW too? Some folks, including Jim himself, might say that's impossible, and yet... here I am. As for Broken Matt... I thought it was corny when I first started seeing it in TNA/Impact. After a while, it kinda grew on me, and I came to enjoy it quite a lot, since it was something so very, very different from pretty much anything and everything else. After a while, though, it kind of wore out for me, and I'm just not feeling it nearly as much as I used to. Maybe if he'd played it straight through from Impact to WWE and now AEW, and it had grown and evolved all along the way, I might think differently, but as it is, I think I'm kinda getting over it now. Plus... I've always been one of those that gets a lot of fun and enjoyment out of the whole "let's pretend it's real" approach to watching something... and teleporting wrestlers can be a bridge too far. I've always been a fan of the Hardys though, so there's only so far negative I can go on them.
  8. Oh, I loved Enterprise from the beginning. Never understood why it didn't get the love from the fandom as a whole. And, yeah. I definitely remember Hell On Wheels very well! That was a good show. If that's available on Netflix or anywhere, I might have to jump back into that one, it's been a while.
  9. <p>Well, I've seen every episode of Discovery. Haven't felt especially compelled to watch any of them a second time just yet, so there is that. I will say this: Anson Mount is very good as Captain Pike, and Ethan Peck was better than I expected as Spock. </p><p> </p><p> Doug Jones is pretty good as Saru as well, but for the most part... I'm not sure the fine folks currently in charge of the Star Trek universe really know what they're doing.</p><p> </p><p> If I had to rank all the Star Trek shows, both Picard and Discovery would be closer to the bottom than the top for me.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  10. Looks pretty good, thanks! It's definitely very much appreciated! When I loaded this into my game, I was so impressed with the results, that I was actually inspired to tinker around with the feature, and I think that I might actually be able to figure it out after all. A little embarrassed to admit it, I had just assumed it might be beyond me, as my skills as editing graphics were never really anything to write home about, and so I hadn't really tried to do anything here. Now I'm thinking I might actually be able to do something with this feature, after all.
  11. Well, I watched the new Star Trek: Picard. Saw the first four or five episodes, anyway. To steal a line from Jim Cornette: "For the people that like that sort of thing... this was the sort of thing they like." Wasn't really feeling it myself, sadly, which is why I stopped after only a few episodes. Too much violence, way too much profanity, and way, (way, WAY) too much killing... with next to nothing in the way of consequences for all that killing. Just felt nothing at all like the Star Trek Universe to me, and everything I've always loved about the Trek franchise seemed glaringly, painfully absent here. I don't know. Your mileage may vary, I guess. I just didn't really feel it all that much, is all.
  12. Cool gesture, thanks! Impossible for me to pick a single favorite moment, I've been watching for so long, but one that most especially jumps out at me was the night Bret Hart so infamously snapped on Monday Night Raw, (March 17, 1997 - one of the last stops on the Road To WrestleMania that year). For me, that was the real beginning of the Attitude Era, and while that's far from my personal favorite era... this particular incident was definitely jaw-dropping for me. Stuff like this just didn't happen back then, especially in the WWF!!!!!!
  13. I'd hate to ask this, but I have no skills whatsoever in the fine art of logo-editing, and I was really hoping to use this logo for a ring in Fire Pro Wrestling World, (PS4 version). It's the logo Kamchatka made from my request for my promotion several years ago, (all the way back in like TEW 2008 or 2010, I think). Just need something I could use in the game. Checked Kamchatka's old thread, where he'd put the background-less versions of some of his logos, but the download links all seemed to be dead. I had thought those might work for this, so if anyone still has those lying around... FPW.net says the image has to be a .png or .jpg smaller than 4MB with a maximum resolution of 256x256. Apologies, if I'm not supposed to be making requests like this, and many, many thanks in advance to anyone who considers helping out with this, in any ways.
  14. When it comes to TEW, my first course of action is always to have a look through the editor, just to see what I'll be working with, (I spend a lot of my time in the editor, working), and I'll also have me a gander at the workers and promotions, just to get a glimpse of what's what in the world nowadays.
  15. <p>I have to admit, I'm pretty concerned about this whole situation. I'm currently working in the retail industry, (it seemed like a good idea at the time), in South Carolina, and while I have heard some folks talking about having had their jobs shut down, mine is currently doing the opposite. I'd go so far as to say we're working ourselves ragged, and I've even seen signs posted on a lot of businesses that say one version or another of the phrase: "Apply today, start tomorrow!" in what seems to be kind of a frantic search for more help. No idea how long we'll stay open, as supplies seem to be dwindling.</p><p> </p><p> They've tried to put limits on how many items people can buy here, (things like toilet paper, cleaning products, and whatnot), but folks are always trying to get that stuff. The only bottle of hand sanitizer I've seen for the past little while is the one we keep, (now well hidden), behind the register for employee use. Restaurants around here have all closed their dining rooms - you have to use the drive-through window at fast food joints, and I've heard some of the local spots have started making deliveries, so long as the order comes within a radius of like 3 miles or so of the actual place. It's changed my lunch breaks at work, for sure.</p><p> </p><p> I actually thought I'd be kind of all right through all this, since washing my hands like dozens of times a day is something I've done for years anyway, but now, I'm not so sure. I haven't heard a stay at home order just yet, but I wouldn't be against it at all. Staying holed up in my house, with the doors locked and the windows shut, and not going out for ANYTHING is sounding better and better to me by the day. </p><p> </p><p> Hope this is all over with soon, and things can get back to some kind of normal. It's unnerving.</p>
  16. I'm just enjoying my new PS4 while I wait. Really loving Road To The Show in MLB: The Show, and I'm enjoying Fire Pro Wrestling World as well. Also... working. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. Not enjoying that nearly as much, but I gots to get paid, no? TEW won't pay for itself! At least not literally! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  17. <p>Loved the sound of today's feature... and all the other new features we have coming to us as well. Been busy working, playing PS4, and setting up my nice, new computer. Now, I'm just waiting to buy the game.</p><p> </p><p> Ready, willing, and rearing to go.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  18. Very sorry to bump a thread that last saw life more than a year ago, but I just recently became the proud owner of a brand new PS4, and then even more recently, the owner of this particular game. Just curious if anyone out there still plays it, is all.
  19. I try to watch most of them I have available to me. True, there seems to be A TON of them now, and sometimes it gets to be a little tedious, but I try. I see Monday Night Raw, Impact, AEW Dynamite, NXT, SmackDown!, and Ring Of Honor most weeks. AEW is by far my favorite. It's not perfect, but it's the one I really look forward to every week and make sure never to miss. Between work and life and whatnot, sometimes I fall asleep on Raw, miss parts of SmackDown! or ALL of Ring of Honor, but I eventually go back and watch on Hulu, On Demand, or DVR, as time permits. I very much enjoy MLW and NWA, but I've managed to miss a few of those here and there. I catch NJPW on AXS every now and again as well. Not every episode, but ... sometimes. I always plan to watch more of that one, but somehow, it either happens or it doesn't. If I miss an episode of a wrestling show, and don't get around to seeing it before the next new episode airs, I usually just skip it... unless of course I hear that there is something particularly "can't miss" on there. I've actually seen some of the AEWs twice (or more), between sticking around for the replay, (though I might be playing Star Trek Online or something at the same time), or putting it On Demand or on DVR when I go to bed. Think that covers it, just about as well as I can anyway.
  20. I most always watch Home Alone and Home Alone 2 around Christmas, as well as The Polar Express. Oh, and I tend to keep my TV glued to either TBS or TNT for the entirety of the A Christmas Story marathon every year. Other Christmas movies seem to find their way into my viewing rotation as well, with Ernest Saves Christmas and Prancer being two of my top picks. I have a tendency to watch Ernest Scared Stupid around Halloween, and I watch more horror movies in general around this time. I'm not anywhere near as "into" the sports as I used to be - guess I pretty much feel fulfilled as a sports fan since the Cubbies won the Series, - but I like to try and catch the Dallas Cowboys - Miami Dolphins game from Thanksgiving Day, 1993, (the day it snowed in Dallas!), whenever they show it on the NFL Network. I'm always one to wallow in some nostalgia, don't you know.
  21. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Adam Ryland" data-cite="Adam Ryland" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="47002" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>we're looking for things that have a legit reason to be in a wrestling game.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> No idea if anything like this has been mentioned or not, haven't really been following the thread as closely as I probably should have been, but as soon as I read that line above, my first immediate thought was:</p><p> </p><p> The Anchor: This worker holds a lot of power within his company/the industry - he's more likely to form positive relationships with the owners of his company, and workers fired from his company, (most especially after less than stellar runs), are more likely to develop negative relationships with him, (blaming him for holding them back, etc).</p><p> </p><p> Sorry if something like this has already been suggested, or if it's just not something that could be done for whatever reason.</p><p> </p><p> Just a quick thought I had come to mind, that I thought it might not be a bad idea to share.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  22. AEW won the night for me. NXT was OK, and I did enjoy the show... but, for me, the AEW show was just a lot more fun. I'll admit, I am a lot more invested into AEW at this point, but... yeah. Loved the AEW show. Liked NXT.
  23. I loved the show myself. Thought the Cody - Sammy match was outstanding, and the Hangman - Pac match was great as well. The main event was fun to watch, IMO, and Jake Hagar's debut was pretty good. Currently watching the show's replay, and enjoying that very much as well. I imagine I'll get around to watching NXT sooner or later, to see what happened on there.
  24. <p><p>Hate to ask this...but are any of you guys actually getting to watch Clash Of Champions? Maybe it's just me... but WWE Network hasn't been hitting on a lick since they upgraded it. The old stuff works well enough, which, to be fair, is what I watch more than anything else, but anything live.... just dead on arrival from the opening bell.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> I've already taken to just watching 205 Live, NXT Original Recipe, and NXT Extra Crispy later in the week, and that works out well enough, but tonight was pay per view Sunday.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> So far tonight, starting with the pre-show...</p><p> </p><p></p><p> It's just been a mess. Seems like I might get anywhere between 90 seconds and 5 minutes worth of mildly pixilated action, before the Network encounters a problem and needs to close. I bring it back up, but I only get more of the same.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Talked with Customer Service back when this first became an issue, and did as they suggested, (uninstalled the App and then re-installed it), didn't seem to help. Talking to them tonight seemed to indicate I wasn't the only one having this problem, and that all these problems would go away as soon at they were able to work all the bugs out of their system.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> Just curious if I'm the only one having this problem, is all.</p><p> </p><p></p><p> <img alt="<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></p>
  25. I was thrilled to see Tony Schiavone join AEW's commentary team. He was one of the voices of wrestling when I was a kid in the 80s, and then, he was a big part of the Monday Night Wars as well. Plus, you never know what might happen during those commercial breaks. With Schiavone on board, at least we can all rest assured that those tape machines will indeed be rolling. Can't wait to start watching the TV show every week. Good times coming.
