  1. I'm still playing WWE2K20, and having fun with that, along with MLB The Show 20, (I have this Australian pitcher I made for Road To The Show - Simon Riggs of the Colorado Rockies - he's fantastic), and Tony Hawk's Pro Skaters 1 and also 2. I dabble in the Star Trek Online and Fire Pro Wrestling World as well. Been having an issue with my controller lately though. Seems it all the time wants to scroll up.... CONSTANTLY. It's ... really annoying. In WWE 2K, my wrestler wants to walk in a certain direction. Easy enough to deal with that. In Trek, my beloved USS Pantheon is prone to start spinning like a top in space.. and on the ground, Admiral Collyer is most always on the move. Whether I want him to be or not. Again, not the biggest problem in all the world, a mild inconvenience at worst. But then there's times when I'm trying to pick something off a menu, and it just starts flying through all the available options, and it's a real pain in the butt to pick out the one I actually want. It's like one of those games you see on Facebook, you know... Which MCU Character Are You?. Not a big fan of that. Besides which, I am clearly Thor. Also, after my boy Riggs snagged a pretty solid base hit for himself, and was sitting pretty at first base.... he just TOOK OFF AND TRIED TO STEAL SECOND!!!! Naturally, he was thrown out by 19 and a half miles, and made to look like a complete and utter idiot. Not a big fan of that either. I finally had to break down and get myself a brand new controller. They were a teency tiny little bit pricey... more than I spent on the new Tony Hawk game(s) actually, (did I mention I've been playing those? Well, I have and they're fantastic!), but it was worth it to finally be able to play a game without the constant aggravation of forward motion. Finally, good times have come back... home.
  2. One thing I'd kinda like to see added to the game is a slight modification to the Quick Fill tool, a little something allowing us to create random workers of a specific type. For example, I'd like to be able to specifically create a batch of, let's say, Lightweight Technician Flyers, or whatever. Just thought it might be helpful to have a little more control over what type of workers the Quick Fill option might create for us, is all. :o:o
  3. I just finished watching the first two seasons of Cobra Kai on Netflix, and very much enjoyed that. I always loved the Karate Kid movies as a kid, especially the first one, (Mr. Miyagi is one of my all time favorite characters), and I was more than happy to revisit that universe from a new perspective. I always wanted to watch the show, but it wasn't until it came over to Netflix that I really had the chance. Without spoiling anyone, there were certain aspects that I thought may have been a little over the top... I imagine you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it... but all in all, I really loved the show, and I can't wait for Season 3. It's a heck of an emotional thrill ride, in my humble opinion.
  4. No idea what the general consensus is, no idea what everyone else is thinking but... in my humble opinion, Bill & Ted Face The Music is pretty darn good! I doubt it'll have the same staying power as the original two, (and especially the original one), but then, again in my opinion, they don't really build 'em to last like they used to. Either way though, I thought it was fun movie, and a fantastic ride I was more than happy to go on. I'll give it a B+.
  5. It's been a while since I've posted in this thread, so here I come back around again. A while back, some of you guys were posting lists of your favorite movies in here, a Top 20 I think it was. I had very much wanted to get in on that, but I had a rough go picking out a mere 20 favorite movies, (it always seemed there were some that just HAD to be on the list, but I had ran out of places to put them). Eventually, I got pre-occupied, and just let time slip away from me. Kinda forgot about it for a while, what with work, life, TEW, and all. Anywho, the movies in my Top 9 list seem to be set in stone, so here they are in no particular order: 1. Forrest Gump 2. Legends Of The Fall 3. Terminator 2: Judgement Day 4. Jurassic Park 5. The Lion King, (1994) 6. Field Of Dreams 7. Back To The Future 8. Rocky 9. Stand By Me This is about where things start getting murky. For one, I dearly love all the Back To The Future movies, (Part III in particular has become a go-to movie whenever I'm in need of cheering up), as well as all the Rocky movies, (and the Creed movies that follow them up are equally fantastic in my humble opinion). So many others could very easily claim a place on that list: A League Of Their Own; The Bill & Ted Movies; ET; The Goonies; Predator; Platoon; Tombstone; The Unforgiven; Million Dollar Baby; Adventures In Babysitting; Ferris Beuller's Day Off; Planes, Trains, and Automobiles; The Sandlot; etc. All those Disney movies I enjoyed growing up, that I often watch when I need to chill, (Heavyweights, The Mighty Ducks). Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Morning, Vietnam. The Good Son, which I like, but most everyone else, including the people who made it, don't seem all that crazy about. Tommy Boy, can't forget that one. Home Alone, A Christmas Story, The Polar Express, Toy Story. Ghostbusters, Aliens, Meatballs, Star Treks: The Voyage Home & The Undiscovered Country, I could go on and on. Way too many others to count, I'd better quit while I'm ahead. In other news, I've seen a couple of brand new re-makes/re-imaginings lately: The Lion King, Aladdin, and Child's Play. Of those, Child's Play was far and away my favorite. The Lion King and Aladdin were all right, but didn't seem to have the... passion? Raw, natural emotion? of the originals. Especially the Lion King. I always have cold chills during the first few minutes of the original Lion King, didn't happen at all for the remake. Also, seen both the new It moves, and very much enjoyed those as well. Oh, and I just bought Bill & Ted Face The Music through Amazon Prime. Getting ready to watch that, here in a little bit. Very much looking forward to that. Good times, coming.
  6. I joined here November 26, 2004, according to my profile, and I remember I was part of the .500 forums before that. It's been a pretty fun ride, first EWR and then all the TEWs. Never played the Mafia though.
  7. I know my key's locked away on a long-dead computer, sadly. TEW2004 was a pretty good game for it's time. I think it's the one that let you get a road agent's opinion on this worker or that one, ("the best use we can get out of this guy is as an opponent for established stars to beat when they need an easy win, or for rising stars to beat in order to move up the card" - no idea why I remember that note in particular, but.. I do), and I always liked that feature.
  8. <p>Is there a breakdown anywhere that shows exactly what each of the different basis types does? Reason I ask is, I have this wrestler I'm working on now. Great big guy, super heavyweight. Most all of the super heavyweights I saw in the CornellVerse were using the Dominant gimmick basis, (which normally sounds about right), but I was sure if it'd be the right thing for my guy. He's more of a fun babyface, lovable sidekick, maybe even an oversized underdog type of a guy. </p><p> </p><p> Gave him the Weasely/Underdog basis for the time being, seemed right at the time, but in the gimmick ideas section, I only saw Underdog listed.. which had a size limit of light heavyweight, which naturally gave me second thoughts on the matter.</p><p> </p><p> There's a very good chance I'm overthinking this.</p><p> </p><p> Figured I'd ask though: anyone have any ideas or suggestions?</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  9. <p>So... what's this I hear about a free version of the WWE Network? I've been (quite happily) paying my 9.99 a month for the Network for years now. Just a little curious about what I'm getting that this new free version I saw them mention tonight doesn't is all.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  10. <p>Sounds interesting to me, should be fun. I'd like to see Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, (of Animaniacs fame), considered for inclusion. And, although I'm fairly sure he'd make the list, if Scooby Doo's not in, I'd riot.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  11. <p>Could've been, I'm not sure. It seems like Booker T was involved, and something way back at the back left corner of my brain, just behind the cobwebs, wants to say the other guy was Christian... but after all these years, who can say for sure? </p><p> </p><p> Just seemed like they went one on one on every single WWE show that aired. It was a might different. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  12. Oh, I was around back then. I remember that first TEW very well, as well as those .400 message boards. Think TEW 2004 was where I made my infamous (to me at least) mistake of main eventing a show with an AJ Styles vs. Paul Heyman match... it was supposed to be Paul London, but I mis-clicked. I also remember posting something about someone in the WWE apparently having a best of 637 series going on in my game. Not sure why I remember those two things so well, but... yeah. I mostly played real world back then, so... that was a long time ago. Pretty good times, I think.
  13. This backstory is nothing short of phenomenal! Sad to hear that it might never come to pass, I'd most definitely be interested in playing it.
  14. We're rolling into the 1930s over here, and so far, we're having all kinds of fun. Actually, 1932 just reached its inevitable conclusion as I've been typing out this post. So there is that. Some interesting things are happening, that's for sure. For one, El Espíritu is apparently a beast! Dude's been SPW Heavyweight Champion like... forever... now, (1,119 days, with 30 successful defenses thus far, prestige currently at 77, and this is his second time with the belt). He's also held the CSW Universal Championship, with 15 successful defenses to his credit. Seems like he's really tearing it up. SPW by the by have over 11 million dollars in the bank. Here's hoping they stick around a while, I'd kinda like to see them go all the way, as unlikely as that may be. One thing I do have to ask about though, Levi Andrews. Caught me unawares when I was simming my way downtown, (movin' fast, faces pass, and I'm future bound, do doo doo do do do), when the random profile I saw was for Levi Andrews II, the latest man to bear the name. Thought it might have been a mistake at first, but now I'm not so sure. Thinking it might just be a Gorgeous George type thing. That could be pretty cool. Lots of new workers popping up along the way: Audric Larocque, Bryson Sherrod, Burning Tarantula, Chauncey Barteau, and Troy Lebowski, just to name a few. If you're wondering, Troy Lebowski stands 6'3" tall and weighs in at 282 lbs, so... yeah. He's pretty big. Ulbrecht Strangler seems like an interesting dude as well. I've also considered going into the in-game editor and bringing all the Predators, (Green, Black, and Neon), all together under one banner, perhaps under the leadership of Captain Frog. We'll see. All in all, pretty interesting experience, thus far.
  15. I like this one a lot, myself. All of them look pretty cool though, I think. I downloaded the mod today, and now I'm giving it a sim-through. Up through 1929 so far. Can't wait to see what kind of world it comes up with.
  16. I could probably use them. I think I have most of the ones that were made from my requests back then, but it'd probably be cool to have the whole set again. Never know what I might be able to use.
  17. Very thrilled to see this returning! I still have and still very much love all the championship belts you made from my request last time, (however long ago that was now). Can't wait to see what awesomeness will be coming out of the thread this time around!
  18. Very happy that the game has finally been officially released. I made the purchase soon as I got home from work yesterday, and have been enjoying it since. One question I do have, and I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for it, or if the answer already can be found somewhere else, (I didn't see it), but where can I find the most recent version of the default data? I always like to have the most up to date, typo-free version of the data I can get, but with that last pre-release patch, I was a little too into my play, and just assumed I could get the data later on. Then, the release came, and I messed around with that. Now, I can't seem to find it. Just wondering, is all.
  19. <p>Cool to see that we can now commission Kam originals now, it's definitely something I'd think about doing. I do have a few questions springing to mind, (sorry if they've already been discussed/dealt with, I didn't see).</p><p> </p><p> What do those prices translate to in American money? What would the price look like if someone wanted a TV show made for a logo they got 107 years ago, (way back in the original request thread, I think).</p><p> </p><p> Just wondering, is all.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  20. Well, if requests are being taken, there are actually two that I could use for the database I've been working on. Both are closed now, but are pretty important for background information. Mile High Promotions, which would have been a well known traditional-style territory back in the day, lasting all the way up until some point in the 1980s. It was based in Colorado, and was generally regarded as being fairly high caliber. And Capital Sports, (at some point re-branded as All-American Wrestling), which grew out of the territories, and became something of a force throughout the 1990s. They were based somewhere around Washington, DC, and had a tremendous popularity hub in Baltimore. My apologies for making two requests, I know that might seem greedy of me, but I figured I'd take a shot, see what happened.

  22. <p>Not a big fan of political campaign ads. I always dread election year, because of the commercials. For one thing, I see a commercial where some random third party is just non-stop singing a guy's praises... and then the guy himself chimes in, and says: "I'm The Guy, and I approve this message."</p><p> </p><p> Well, I would hope so. If someone was giving me a glowing recommendation, telling the whole wide world just how smurfy I was, I think I'd approve too.</p><p> </p><p> The other thing is the attack ads. A whole commercial spent running down the rival candidate. Doesn't impress me. All it tells me is the other guy sucks. Doesn't even try to convince me the guy it's supposed to be advertising doesn't.</p><p> </p><p> "O not so worthy opponent thinks THIS about this, thinks THAT about that, and most shockingly of all, once voted for Roman Reigns to be named Wrestler of the Year!!!! Do YOU really want a man like that representing you in office? Vote for Mr. Dink instead!</p><p> </p><p> Just not a big fan of campaign ads, is all.</p><p> </p><p> <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  23. Welcome back! Glad to hear you're in good health.
  24. Well, if the CWA wasn't a promotion I was gonna do some playing with this TEW, then it definitely would be now! This is some darn fine work, right here.
  25. Awesome to see you back here, putting out some new logos! I'm still loving all the PW-MAX, WWA, CLAW, OCP, and RMW sets you did from my requests back in the day, (jeez, it sure looks like a lot of them, when I write it out in paragraph form like that). Can't wait to see what you have to show us next!
