  1. 100% right now seems more changeling and also a ton less forgiving than 2016 and I feel doesn't do as good a job telling me what I did wrong as 2016, but I'm hoping for tweaks to fix that/ encompass a bit more flexibility with booking as people start to figure out what the game is looking for from you as the booker. I get that there is always going to be a "most correct" way to book in a game like this and that is to make it challenging, but I also so far feel that I'm basically being forced to book a specific way or fail.

Why don't you try this idea of getting a division-based B-show and let me know how the division's pop turns out at the end of two months? I'm sure it'll be glorious. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> There aren't enough over women workers in their division to sustain their pop/ an independent division without developing some of the up and coming girls, who there is no TV time for, so kinda a catch 22 honestly.</p>

I guess you can use a B-show until their contracts run out, but it's better to change them to managers as most have good charisma. But seriously, it might even be better to just plain cut them if it's not your thing.<p> </p><p> For the record: a B-show is not your Smackdown!. That's an A-show. A B-show is like Velocity or Heat.</p><p> </p><p> I don't know how their morale is impacted for just being on B-shows, but it'll probably have an effect. So I'd highly advise against it.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I mean with the roster bloat that's about the only way you can keep a women's division on the roster. I like the creative idea of CWA but there roster size is insane. </p><p> </p><p> even booking a regular TV show is painful with the roster as it comes, so not going to be surprised by more pain with the women having their own show. Can't be worse that what I'm seeing in the divide between the 30-35 workers that can actually work at the level CWA wants and the tanked segments anytime you try to use the women outside of the top 2 or 3, the guys who really don't belong on the roster (which maybe that's the idea? have the player cut the chaff and then they go to Canadian indies to get work/improve?) and Jenny for the traditional cheap high scoring segment when she cuts the promo for the person she's managing. </p><p> </p><p> Unless the women are working their own show, they are never going to get matches outside of like 4 of them, and like a poster above said I don't see how that helps any of the rest of the roster develop really. I might as well cut 2/3rds of the division and just run Queens Court vs Amber endlessly as a midcard attraction if that's the only way to play this years version of the game. </p><p> </p><p> I realize I could game it and just say "just kidding toots, all of you are managers and/or cut so i can focus on the men" but that's not how i want to play CWA. </p><p> </p><p> Honestly i think most of the creative ways to play CWA are going to be incredibly painful to play with mechanically the current way the engine works, absent just cutting around 15-20 people on day 1. it's pretty clear what the best "game" move is, to cut everyone left over from the merger that isn't a Decolt, Stone, or already over to get the roster down to "CGC with a couple NOTBPW guys also onthe roster, along with Stone's kid"</p><p> </p><p> CWA seems posed for a downturn (which may be the point, which is fine! Adam may be going for the "this idea from the kids had the best of intentions, but was always going to fail as they envisioned it" with this bloated roster and be putting it on us to make the cuts.) but honestly I'll take the tanked pop and just use the editor to make sure we don't go bankrupt if a velocity style show for the women is the difference between CWA living or dying as a company.</p>
  4. I'm about 5 shows in now, in my attempted diary save. I've yet to get a show that gains everywhere, still trying to find the sweet spot for them. One thing I did do that's been good for organization as I figure out the mens side of things is I split the women off into their own B show. CWA Arise which is going to be a weekend afternoon show. Then I'm going to schedule a TBD amount of womens only events (prob 1-2 a year) and then have the champ match on the Men's event when the storyline is hot enough.
  5. I've always considered them the WWE, so yea....kinda? outside of a long bleed out, their is gonna be a big boss in the real world (ominous voice) Then, now, forever. That's how i see USPW in the Cverse. If you wanna take down that company, it's gonna be forever and evvvaaah,
  6. How is having Ricky lose two weeks in a row, to outside interference, "jobbing him out?" I think it's kinda basic storytelling. He's the baby face, clearly better, but out numbered by the heels in elite. He will soon go get help and stop losing, this upcoming show in fact. Regardless, Maybe the misconception is what perception is supposed to be among some players, myself included. My impression from the Journal, math aside and thank you for the above, was that perception is fluid, but is basically how fans see the worker. Thus, workers who are new to the company, on hot streaks, cold streaks, in hot fueds, ect cold improve or lose their standing. I get all that I just also assumed that their overall popularity would control it more than immediate results, because when I think thats what people think about when we talk perception. Again, if say....Mustafi Ali has one hot moment, then booking buries him, the fans lose intrest. i get that, because he doesn't have years and years at the top of the card, so that should change quickly, and even often early in his career depending on his booking. But if you are talking a major star in a company, such as Ricky Decolt, that the company has been built around for years, then no, I don't think a loss or two should tank them down. Nor really do I think wins over and over should bump it up quickly. At some point, perception becomes fixed when you are talking about a worker thats been around forever in the M/E unless you have large runs of poor booking. That, to quote you, is realism (ew) I think its a great idea, and as I said I'm enjoying it because it keeps the mid card churning along. but I don't really think the complaints that it swings to rapidly at the top of the card are unwarranted. My suggestion would be that in the equation above, Popularity would start to be weighted more as it climbed up towards 100, thus perception of his role becoming more fixed with fans as his popularity rises in the region, but still impacted by momentum so that overall crappy booking would lower that popularity over time, thus having it matter less (losing the fans) while also snowballing if the momentum combined with losses in overall popularity of the worker stayed down long term so rapid falls from grace are still possible with bad booking of legacy stars.
  7. He dropped to just star, not 2 levels all the way to Well known. I just think it needs to be weighted, for the reasons you said. There comes a point where people get established with the fans. I really don't think the fans of CWA would change their perception of a Decolt one bit for two storyline losses I love this system for everyone not super established at the top of the card though, makes your lower card and mid card feel alive, since people can catch fire and you need to decide to jump on board or just ride it out
  8. I'm ok with it being highly volitle for younger, lesser known people. That seems to be working as intended, and I agree with you i like that. The clearest recent example would be the one above i used, with Darby Allin, but you can look at anyone in the lower to mid card of places that a worker comes in, doesn't get rocket strapped, but works so well/ connects so well with the fans that they precieve them different quite quickly However, it needs to be weighted by... i dunno, longevity? star power or something. Because to use a RW example again, I'm CWA and the Decolts start with Major Star/ Star depending on decolt. I'm booking a storyline where the Decolts and the youngest stone are going to team up as a stable to battle the elite, and as part of that Ricky has taken losses two weeks in a row due to thier numbers game. Ricky already dropped. That's ridiculously volatile. In the real world, if say....AJ styles, loses to a few people to set up a storyline, he's not going to suddenly not be perceived as a Major Star by the fans. He's got to much history. Sure, If Vince beat him like a tomato can in squash feuds for 1 or 2 years in the mid card then released him, then maybe I'd buy his perception would drop significantly with the fans. I think it's a very good idea, I just think it needs some tweaking.
  9. So my first impressions are that I like it, but it's waaaayyyy to volatile. maybe as we figure out how to deal with it that will change but I'll echo people move up and down way to quick. In CWA, i've only run 2 TV shows, and already my Major Stars/Stars/well knowns are shuffling around. I think it's an awesome base, because I do like that it rewards the lower and mid card guys when they get hot, with or without you directly pushing them to the moon. feels like (for an example) what happened with Darby Allin in AEW, he was somewhat known to indy fans coming in but won over the audience super quick with his competitive losses against Cody, Jericho, ect and is precieved as a cornerstone of AEW's younger talent/ upper midcard now. But where it falters is guys with a long track record who you don't just keep super cena booking on. I don't really think Ricky Decolt, for example, would fall from major star to star just from taking a few loses to set up an up and coming "I need my brothers against this numbers game!" storyline I'm planning on running, but that's happened in my first 2 shows. Ricky has to much of a track record for his perception to change around (positive or negative) so quickly, and I'm sure it's the same for other big names.
  10. agree, Adam can't win here. If he updated them all and they didn't match peoples head cannon, there would be threads saying "why did you change the decolt renders? That's not how Alex looks" ect.
  11. This is how i'm going to try to book them. Let your main guys talk for the 20-25%, book great matches in the Mid card with limited angles/ video spots explaining who guys are. I think I am going to split the women into a different brand, run their own TV show once a week, and have 3-4 all female events a year without the boys. Then I'll feel like less of an ass for running 1 (maybe 2) women's matches/ angles on their main TV show/ events and give it more time to grow.
  12. See title, this is going to be my work day. Sorry boss So what does everyone think? I'm in love with their roster, in particular can't wait to book the women's division and figure out who will be the babyfaces to rise to challenge these heels who are super over. What are you all going to look at booking? I'm thinking of rebuilding the Decolt/Stone stable via a storyline bringing both the young stone kid (can't remember first name at work haha) and steve back in to face the Elite. Might also do a NOTBPW stable, to keep that thread alive. cn't decide if I'd make them faces or heels at the moment. I'm in love with the Queens Court So lets hear it Canada players, whats rattling around in your head
  13. oh wow, I hadn't even started running so yea not doing that. I'm less stubborn, I'm hitting that button. having a roster with 56 workers being graded as an ensemble doesn't make sense to me. The focus for me in my head cannon would be on the M/E and upper mid card while these younger guys learn the ropes/ get let go to reduce roster bloat.
  14. totally agree, I feel like I need to cut a bunch of the Men's midcard to give this Women's division any time at all. I've also thought about splitting the Women off into their own brand and getting them a TV show and like....4 events a year that are just for them with their Title matches going on the PPV's during the year as well. On the main event scene, also agree. I can't see NOT doing a storyline where the Decolts and the young Stone who's first name escapes me at work don't join forces to come back into the M/E scene. As you said, who's the babyface on the roster to push against these amazing heels other than Ricky and someone from outside the company?
  15. Re: Alex That's likely my only big gripe. I wish he had started some odd ball indy in Canada or something, or even started in another region as a promotion head who is nuts. Him just being shoved off to a farm feels.....not what would happen. Though to be fair I haven't pushed him to unretire, maybe he would Just seems like Alex going nuts storyline could have really been a driver. Imagine if he bought the rights to the CGC name and competed against his brothers?

  17. I was a bit surprised too at the lack of updates, though I rarely play in UK The only positive I can think of is it's ripe for a user created company to fill the void, might be a good spot for my RTG challenger I'm shocked there aren't any more UK women added, I figured that was a give in to let a women's promotion start up there or book a women's division in general. I might do that anyway, but will prob. have to meta game it and give that created promotion more money than I want and edit some younger workers to be available to work in the UK.
  18. Was the stone kid in 2016? I can't remember honestly If not add him to the list, looks like a future star for CWA
  19. Agree with all of this CWA does feel very AEW without the hardcore stuff, which my just be my head cannon but I like immensely.
  20. The CWA Idea/ thoughts thread See title, this is going to be my work day. Sorry boss So what does everyone think? Also.. is there any PPVs for these companies that mimmick real company events like Royal Rumble, Starrcade, Wrestlemania etc? </p><p> </p><p> Thanks in advance <span class="ipsEmoji">😊</span></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> So as a Cverse dabbler myself, I think the easiest way to do the above is at character creation. Adam did a good job with those overviews of every region, and if you look at the company bios you can usually figure out what they are looking for.</p><p> </p><p> For me, it's CWA, because thier product now I would describe as "AEW without the hardcore allowed" which I'm fine with. They have great young heels, a long history to play off of with the older wrestlers (the bios help me on ideas there with the Cverse, They normally referance big events and who is who's kid ect) </p><p> </p><p> on the events, I would just create them. 100% CWA is getting some sort of money in the bank/ RR show from me, because i think their show roster after the merger is kinda barren (I think that might be on purpose)</p>
  23. <p>I love the premise and roster of CWA, but I do hope you can get Alex to unretire somehow. </p><p> </p><p> I was really expecting him to be running his own small indy promotion, or somehow not take being forced out by his brothers by just running away to the farm. </p><p> </p><p> Maybe that's coming in the next version of the cverse, or to be fair I haven't really tried to work him over to come out of retirement yet. Though I'm going to be attempting a CWA dynasty thread so that seems out given the history (I always try to do a dynasty, but then run out of steam/ feel like im boring people:() </p><p> </p><p> I'm excited to try them out though. Really interesting roster, and it looks like you HAVE to find some babyfaces to push because I'd say that's their weakness out of the gate. Unless your going to just push Ricky and his brother to the moon (which still leaves you old there) all the young guys Fans consider stars are heels. </p><p> </p><p> I was looking at it last night like "ok......who is going to be the good guys here, if it's not the Decolts?"</p><p> </p><p> I'm really excited to book their women's division</p>
  24. Right, like i said i appreciate the creativity and I followed the match. Literally any kind of explanation of why Cena took an acid trip and Bray suddenly had the ability to teleport him to another dimension where he had no control of his own actions would have been great to make it land better for me.
