  1. This would be amazing, even if they were just "canon" forum posts or news stories. Like a forum post on the Decolt Funeral as just one example, fleshing out who was there, what drove Alex so nuts, ect. but it could be anything about the Cverse, just selfishly to mine for storyline ideas.
  2. Welcome to...... CWA: The Last Scion A couple notes before we start on how I am going to try to do this. Keep in mind outside of one attempt that kinda stalled, i'm a lurker on here not a writer, so hopefully this won't be too rough to read. Feedback is greatly appreciated, even if it's just a "I'll be reading!" to keep me motivated. 1. Presentation: So I'm going to do this like PW Torch/ Csonka Reports on the shows and events, with personal interludes from a 1st person prospective. I might also do rumor short hits for big changes in the world. I'll also post the cards of the shows, as I think that's a fun game. If we get that far and people like this, maybe we'll keep score. Note that on the previews we'll start after the first show, doesn't seem much point to have people guess blind. 2. Concept: The user character is Christopher Decolt, who's backstory we'll get into with the first interlude post. While I have him as the booker mechanically in the save, who is booking won't really be discussed in the personal stories/ insights, though i do reserve the right to change that if it becomes needed. Bottom line, this is a story about the Stones and Decolts next generation, and what CWA will be in the future. Will it be A SWF'esq company and start to be a major player? A Stampede throwback with the Decolts next generation in control with NOTBPW just a footnote? Some sort of evolved NOTBPW where the technicians and brawlers rule the roost? and behind the scenes who will actually control the future of Canadian wrestling? Update Schedule: I'm going to try to hold to this, basically. I think it's easier on me as the writer and the reader if everyone knows what the goal is. And if people like it it will keep me motivated to see posts in between with feedback. Also subject to change if I feel like it After this first show (counting this weekend) New Show/Event post on Saturday. Interlude Story/Rumor Site Posts Monday, along with card for predictions for the next show New Show/Event Post Wednesday Interlude(or just event card, depends) for next show on Thursday 4. Starting Rosters and things to know that I did before the first show: wanted people to know where the company is as of the start of the game with a few key guys you can expect to see feature at start. note this is just a few people and a quick preview and if you don't see a person written up here who is in CWA, then it means they are 1) in Developmental or 2) not currently to be featured in the first few months strongly. Note this doesn't mean guys and gals won't impress me and work themselves into better spots/ more work. If you have a favorite and they aren't listed here, just means as of now they need to catch on. that will come from both just playing them and people pushing me in comments This is going to be an organic save, I only really plan one or maybe two big yearly story lines and most of the rest I book on the fly. So, our Starting booking sheet, which has leaked to the internet somehow for you all to know before a show hits the air: Main Event Faces Jack Decolt - Still a Mainstay, we will be pushing Jack as a main attraction. Still a great promo and solid if declining a bit in the ring. Ricky Decolt - Not as good in promo's but still solid. Will also be a main attraction Aaron Knight - Obvious, basically a can't miss prospect to build around the next 10 years. Sean Mcfly - Not much left, but we're going to get what he has to give out of him. Heels Christian Faith - The Champion for now, though I'm not sure how long he'll keep it. I like Faith, but it's going to be tough for him to keep the top Heel spot Cameron Vessey - Making a name for himself, and in line for a good push. I like the possibility with him. Shooter Sean Deeley - Our aging technical master, still has some good work in him (I hope) Mr. Impact - TV title holder, time to see if he's really arrived or is just a flash in the pan. A lot of that will depend how he looks in his first feud for me. Upper Mid Card and other projects Faces Diablo Duvak - I have a soft spot for Diablo, I've always liked him and mimic. still to be determined on what he'll be able to bring to CWA in my mind. Donte Dunn - Will be involved in our main pushes, very excited to see what he can do. Erik Strong - Still a solid guy, and I have some ideas for him. I think of him as sort of midcard gatekeeper but thats not a bad thing Skip Beau - We'll see on this guy, I think he's the best of the CWA "generic white guy" bunch, but I'm not sure that's saying much David Stone - Given the title, David is going to be a project for us. Christopher Decolt[ - User Avatar Heels Johnny Bloodstone - The ying to Mcfly's yang. Doesn't have much left to give but what he has we'll get from him. Lee Rivera - Good hand I think, And Jenny is always a plus. Dynamite Express - I'm actually going to do the tag teams and women on a later update post, but these guys have a lot to do in the mid card for us. They are both so good that they almost have to also work with the faces here. George Wolfe - I want to believe, but we shall see. We need a power house in this heel division, and Blockbuster I don't think is it Blockbuster - I think blockbuster is a man out of time, but I'm going to give him shots to prove me wrong. Writers Note: The event caps themselves will have imagur links, i'm just excited to get started and wanted to post something tonight. First story line post coming shortly, either tonight or in the morning.
  3. I always edit the Avatar I want to use to a fictional character TBH.
  4. yea, Bully might be the problem, the real term should be "toxic" or "self Destructive" Bully to me is like, an overbearing personality. Only the worst of the worst should be showing up every show to cause trouble. That's beyond being a Bully, that's just being scott Stienier level awful
  5. agreed, But that's not his point. If the Mod conversion puts "Bully" as an attribute for every guy from TEW 2016 it used to say was a minor nuisance for example, that would make the mod act like every worker who was considered a bit of a back stage issue was some major Ahole. Honestly, I think this is going to be an issue until we start to get the really tuned RW mods post release.
  6. Same! and also thanks for the tips in the CWA thread, they really helped me get a handle on my long term save (shameless plug) First pages of the Diary going up today hopefully
  7. Maybe the Mod is just converting wrong/ has to many negative attributes? I can only speak for CWA so far, but I've foudn the opposite in that i wish I had backstage problems for flavor.
  8. what company were you running? I'm legit struggling to see how the above can be true, unless you opened your own fed and just hired everyone negative on the indies haha. CWA starts with a 100% backstage, and we have some pills.
  9. <p>I'm now getting 70-75's pretty regularly and can confirm, you need to be an evolving version of CGC/NOTBPW....It's like Stampede suddenly started to move towards early 90's WWE and the Main Event got a ton of promo time</p><p> </p><p> My advice (some self explanatory) </p><p> </p><p> 1. Don't be afraid to open up a developmental, shove even people that don't want to go to it there, and also written you are never going to use to train/go out to pasture so they don't affect the locker room. Also you can sign handshake deals and put people here as well. My plan here is the written guys I'll never use go down till they are out, and our "next generation" (main show and developmental) of the midcard is coming in under handshakes. There is no reason CWA should have the bloated midcard it does, not every guy here is going to be a star for the big 3 in america and needs a written. </p><p> </p><p> There roster is just way to big. you have to pick the 45-50 or so wrestlers the roster can support and tighten up the shows. The top of the card is obvious, but there's a lot of flexibility on what the new direction of the company is going to be in the midcard coming up. There's just not enough work for all of them. </p><p> </p><p> 2. If you want a match to score in the 70's, it better go past 15 minutes, have a storyline, and involve Aaron, a Decolt, Vessey or Faith. </p><p> </p><p> 3. Abuse, Abuse, Abuse Steve. I have Steve open up events with run downs in his office of events, run guys through his office, have him pop up in fueds ect. I basically play him as Mr. Mac meets William Regal. HE can net you 90's in angles, and really puts the shine on other workers in the same segments. Another (gamey I'll admit) way to get storylines heat is to have Steve advance them in promo's when he runs the EVent card down. This gives those storylines a big boast. YMMV, i see this as fine since it's basically the GM focusing on those fueds. it is a good way to get like a 80-90 scoring segment in like....the Women's title scene. </p><p> </p><p> 4. This is optional, but I am blowing the roof off with changing Aaron to a Heel and having him go after Jack. They are ripping it up, I'm talking multiple 90's+ segments and 75+ matches. </p><p> </p><p> 5. Storylines are more important to the midcard than the game suggests. If you want an angle/match to score above a 40, it better have some sort of storyline attached. This can be the difference in the mid card between something scoring a 35-45 and a 50-60 from my testing. Even if it's going to be a silly storyline that advances once in awhile, if you have any plans to push a guy later ALWAYS have them in a storyline. </p><p> </p><p> 6. Don't put someone not in the Star or a very good well known worker in angles, and expect them not to bomb. These CWA fans love angles it seems, but ONLY if they are the greatest angle of all time if it's not a star. You can easily get 50's out of the midcard match wise, but good luck letting them talk. I do little 3 minute Video packages on them every once in awhile so they get exposure. Steve's great for this, have him mention a guy in the midcard in a promo and slowly the fans will start to care. </p><p> </p><p> 7. This one is more.....I guess my observation. The game WAAAAAAYYY oversells the Decolts starting to step back. Ricky is 35, he has 5 good years at least left. Jack can go at 42, and I fully plan on abusing him until he starts to slow down. I think your playing the game on extreme hard mode if you just keep them in the tag division, even if you don't turn Aaron for Jack. Steve pulls amazing ratings as the GM, if you want to go the evil authority figure route. You have to be abusing the Decolts if you want to get guys over still, and honestly I think they still deserve the top of the face card. </p><p> </p><p> That said, Bloodstone and shooter are pretty done. As Heel heavy as they are, they only really have one Heel who isn't going to be a issue for you like a year or 2 in, Vessey. Faith I find ok, but not great.</p>
  10. I mean I guess. My issue has more been with the default setting up new stables, then nuking them in a week or 2. Not sure why that stable ever needed to exist in the AI's mind, unless somewhere it's coded that a Stable breaking up is the best way for the AI to do a Heel or Face turn and get it momentum. However, overall for me as a Cverse player it's just more of a game quirk since most of the time the Cverse Stables don't have as much impact as historical stables I don't play mods that often, but I can imagine this is pretty awful if it's "working as intended" for the Mod Community. I doubt many creators want to see the Horseman/NWO/Bullet Club ect nuked a week into the game because the AI decides it's time for Ric to be a baby face, you know? Minor issue over all for me in the Cverse, since I control my own factions and I don't even keep track of other promotions Stables that much, but can see how it would be annoying as heck for RW mods.
  11. <p>I have a dumb newbie question, how do you link to Renders and Graphics fromthe Cverse?</p><p> </p><p> Want to start writing my dairy, have a few shows done but want to be able to link banners and workers</p>
  12. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="jpuk" data-cite="jpuk" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48398" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Are you using the MDB file that is generated via the save game options screen and saved into a separate MDB folder within your save game folder?</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> yes, I have it in its own created folder and when I go to load data, it pops up a box that says I need a password with "admin" filled in</p>
  13. <p>Quick technical question</p><p> </p><p> Im trying to upload the data, it's asking me for a password? Am I just missing that in the instructions?</p>
  14. some sort of hunger games match on like a hardy type compound. You get pinned, your out, anything goes. Could make it a 2 day event (i started this as a joke but halfway through I was thinking of how to book it)
  15. hahaha that's why I was gauging interest, the scenario requires either suspension of disbelief that no one in either family would know about some love child until now and/or some cheating by the only eligible women in the scenario Just seeing if it's to far out there, might revise my diary plans if so
  16. <p>Preview for one I want to start, want to see if people think it's to out there for the Cverse. </p><p> </p><p> So This would be a CWA dynasty where the user character is the child of a Decolt Brother (tbd) and Victoria Stone. This Kid would be raw, but obviously the link between the two families </p><p> </p><p> Before I really get rolling on it tonight, would people be interested in that or is it to "come on, Adam would have mentioned a random 19-21 year old Scion of these two families at some point...." to get behind? </p><p> </p><p> Idea would be that we follow the career of this young kid as he unifies both his Grandfather's legacies.</p>
  17. i would also endorse this as someone who's going to try in 2020, my biggest issues tend to be formatting, how to link pictures, ect.
  18. This is what I assume, that it was done both to make sure they didn't immediately get poached and make the player make some tough choices about taking short term financial hits for long term viability I dunno honestly. i'm like 1 month into the save with them running TV twice a week now and it's tough not to just be like "forget it, I should just restart and cut like half the roster, then replace any losses for cutting them in the editor so I'm not bankrupt" The developmental territory someone else suggested might also be the way to go if you want to try to hold onto their younger talent outside of their 2-4 prospects that might pan out.
  19. yea there's no doubt the best fix is to cut like....20 of the men and about 5 of the women workers day 1 and book it like old school CGC. Just not sure i want to give in and do it
  20. Not really the point i was making. Just pointing out/ asking if anyone has seen the AI companies book anything less than the greatest show around, week in and week out. For all i know it's just the flavor text, I'll admit I'm not getting into the numbers/pop gain or anything. Just would be nice to see "SWF booked x, it was ok, but nothing special" once in awhile
  21. I'm just going by the show reports. so far i've yet to see an AI company book a show that wasn't basically a slam dunk, for any company, of any size, in about 6 months of play throughs between my 3 games I've set up so far and played till the cutoff. That doesn't seem realistic either tbh.
  22. Don't get me wrong, I love that the AI isn't an idiot but I'd like to see some variation, every show the AI books for any company is the bestest show that's ever been booked according to the show recaps maybe it's just not enough shows have been run, but i'd like to at least see an "ok at best" game out of the computer companies once in a blue moon
  23. yea, I'm going to plough on with the B show for the women, knowing from game play mechanics wise it's going to be likely nuke us in Canada for at least a few years. In my head cannon it's the cleanest way to do it, almost like FCW pre NXT on the network for the women with title matches that can reasonably be placed on events doing so.
  24. I'm also on the fence. I like the story and database in the new one, but i'm not sure I love the new version, particularity how the game basically forces you to book one way or get hammered, unless you just turn of penalties. I'm waiting to see what the final patches bring prior to retail, but right now I might be holding off and playing some more 2016.
