Ordinarily this is where we'd be taking a look at the predictions and updating on the next show, but unfortunately (or not, depending on how you look at it), I'm calling time on this dynasty for now. The next show was a disaster- almost every match either had an injury or bad chemistry notes- and it killed my enthusiasm for this version of RMW. Let's face it, when your champion goes down with a torn rotator cuff, your up-and-comer who was almost ready has a concussion and your number three option has bad chemistry with your top heel it's hard to book round that, so as I said I'm calling time on this version of RMW. Fortunately, with the game coming out later today and my work not opening until July at the earliest I'll be relaunching RMW in a new version very shortly. It won't be identical- that would be boring- but if you've enjoyed these first two shows then RMW 2.0 will be right up your alley. 'Til then, stay safe and enjoy TEW.

RMW Desperado Sunday, Week 3, February Audience: 83 The Show “It’s another Sunday Afternoon at the Yellowstone Bar and Grill and it’s time for RMW Desperado! I’m Dane O’Hara and with me once again is the man who makes the decisions round here, Damian Carvill!” “Last month at New Kid In Town we saw the first ever Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Champion installed as Quentin Queen beat out The Elite’s Cerebral Strongman The Silencer and tonight Queen will be defending his title for the very first time against Rock Solid Remmy Honeyman! Roger Monteiro takes on Romeo Romaro! Plus, RMW witnesses history as Masked Cougar makes his first defence of the COTT World Heavyweight Title against our own Tavon Blake Jr.! Fans I had to work real hard to get this match but I am looking forward to seeing if Blake has what it takes to unseat the champ!” “But first we have six-man tag team action as The Elite take on the trio of Jason Patterson, Jerry Pepper and the man who cam within inches of receiving tonight’s Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title shot, Wild Red Stallion! Let’s get down to the ring and get this show underway!” * The Elite vs. Jerry Pepper, Wild Red Stallion & Jason Patterson This one kicked things off in fine style; whilst I wouldn’t call it a classic it was already an improvement on most of the undercard from last month. That was almost entirely down to The Silencer; he was the best worker in this match by quite some way and really held it all together. As for the others, Wolfie was pretty good, Kalder had a bit of an off night, Jerry and Patterson looked like solid rookies (even with Jerry’s form being off) and Stallion? Well, he was definitely there. Frankly, it’s clear that he just isn’t that good, at least not yet, and if his form continues to linger at this level then he could well take over from Jason as our resident jobber. For now, though, Patterson’s the job-boy-in-residence and he took the loss, submitting to Silencer’s Extreme Prejudice whilst the Hot Taggs nailed his partners to stop them from breaking the hold. Winners: The Elite Match Rating: 25 * Lobo Blanco vs. James Diaz vs. Jules Night This was another good match, in fact I was really impressed with everybody involved. Okay, so I already knew they could be good but there were still a lot of questions to be asked about each of these guys. Was Lobo that good or was he carried by Tavon and good chemistry? Turns out he’s still more than capable of taking the lead and delivering a good match. Has James Diaz actually got the long-term potential we thought? Well he continues to improve at playing his gimmick and delivered in the ring in a far more exposed environment. Can Jules contribute in the midcard or is he just too dull? On the basis of this one he’s definitely ahead of a lot of other guys on the roster. All in all, therefore, I was happy with this one and the guys involved continue to work their way into key plans. Lobo took the win here to keep him looking strong ahead of his programme with Tavon; after James took Jules out with the Asian Thumb Spike Lobo nailed Diaz with a vicious (and illegal) chop block before sinking in the Indian Deathlock to force a submission. Winner: Lobo Blanco Match Rating: 27 * Masked Stranger vs. The Masked Mauler VII The difference between last show and this is just night and day; what was essentially designed as a squash match got the best response of the night so far. I think it’s just a matter of familiarity; now the crowd knows our roster it’s a lot easier for them to get into the matches and the increased name value most of our guys got from the first show helps that too. Of course, it probably also helps that Stranger and Mauler are two of our best workers outside the main event- Stranger in particular gave the best performance of anyone on the card not named The Silencer, whilst Mauler was better than either of The Hot Taggs despite enjoying far less of a push. As you probably could’ve guessed Stranger got the win here, via submission after applying the Cobra Clutch to Mauler in the the middle of the ring. Winner: Masked Stranger Match Rating: 31 * Roger Monteiro vs. Romeo Romaro After a strong undercard s0d’s law dictated that one of our big matches would underdeliver, and at least it was the least important of the three. To be fair the deck was stacked against this one from the start; I’d booked it to go 15 minutes and that’s not really long enough for a match featuring two of our top names. Of course, it also doesn’t help that Romeo’s stamina isn’t good enough to handle even a match this long, he was gassed by the end and it really showed. More concerning, however, was Roger’s performance which was pretty mediocre and lacked Romeo’s stamina excuse. It’s not the biggest problem we’ve got, Roger wasn’t bad or anything, but given that he’s probably our number two babyface it’s worrying that he was outperformed by so Lobo, Stranger and Silencer- two of those guys are heels he can work with, true, but at some point we might need Rog to carry a match and evidence so far suggests he can’t. He’s still better than Romeo, though, and took the win at the quarter-hour mark with the Flying Eagle. Winner: Roger Monteiro Match Rating: 27 * Tavon Blake Jr. vs. Masked Cougar Given how good Cougar is I had this penned as a potential best match ever for us, and what do you know? I was right. Tavon more than held his end up, delivering a very solid performance, but there’s a reason Cougar’s the COTT Champion and he more than demonstrated that with the best performance ever seen in an RMW ring. I also liked the finish we booked for this one to get Tavon’s feud with Lobo going; after Cougar ‘accidentally’ got Dale between him and Tavon’s incoming corner splash Lobo came out in a referee’s shirt to take over (Damian explained this as Lobo having a ref’s licence for Wyoming and a bylaw about reasonable safety standards). Tavon managed to his the Piledriver but Lobo gave a deliberately if ambiguously slow count, allowing Cougar to kick out at 2 and then hit a sneaky Cougar Pounce (Flying Shoulder Tackle) whilst Tavon argued with Lobo. Unsurprisingly Cougar’s pin got a much quicker 3-count. Winner: Masked Cougar Match Rating: 45 * Queen once again heads to the ring ahead of his title match, mic in hand. “Last month it was all about facing down the raw power of The Silencer, one of the scariest men I’ve ever had to wrestle. Well I faced him down, kicked his @ss, won the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title and now we’re up to tonight. Now, Remmy Honeyman sure as heck ain’t the powerhouse that ol’ Silencer was- and don’t think I’ve forgotten you and your boys big man, The Elite are 1000% on my radar- but let’s be clear here, Rock Solid’s one of the best in the company. He’s smart as heck, talented as all get out and there’s not a lot he won’t do if it’ll help him win. All in all, he’s going to be a real challenge for ol’ Fearless Q, right? Wrong. “Remmy, you’re smart, you’re talented, you’re a…well, you’re a cheating little weasel, let’s be honest, but you know what you’re not? The man who will take this title from me. I have climbed to the top of the Rocky Mountain, and dude? I am LOVING the view! You want to take this title from me, you better split me open and pull the heart out of my body because you can have this title when you pry it from my cold, dead, hands!” Quentin’s awesome, man. He loved improvising this one, threw in a lot of great lines (climbing to the top of the Rocky Mountain was all him) and Tabitha’s reactions helped set up a lot of what he was going for. Rating: 35 * Quentin Queen vs. Remmy Honeyman How in the holy h*ll was this so good? I ain’t complaining, mind, but this was the best match on the card from our regular guys and I can’t quite figure out how it turned out so good. Normally, you look at how the individual guys performed and the rating falls somewhere in the middle of that but this was a real case of the whole being more than the sum of its parts. The parts were great, mind, particularly Quentin (who’s not only our top performer but has responded to being give the belt by basically becoming the biggest leader in the locker room), but it’s still a bit baffling. Still, when life gives you a Canucks appearance in the Stanley Cup you don’t complain when they lose, and when the main event of your show is this good I’ll deal with the why’s and wherefores later. Quentin took the win, nailing Remmy with the Q-Ball and hooking the leg whilst his eyes firmly fizedon The Silencer, who’d appeared from backstage just as Quentin went for the pin. Winner: Quentin Queen Match Rating: 41 * Once the bell has run The Silencer makes his way to ringside, and he and Quentin are quick to start jawing at one another. Of course, it’s only a matter of seconds before words turn to fists, and when The Hot Taggs join in on Silencer’s side The Warriors Two are quick to join in to even the odds. Naturally everything breaks down into a wild brawl, and we finish the show with an image of the entire locker room emptying to try and restrain the fighters at ringside. This was probably the hottest angle we’ve run yet, which was hardly surprising given that it featured probably our top face and heel acts throwing fists at one another. Rating: 34 Overall Rating: 40, a huge step up from our debut but probably a bit of an artificial lift; we won’t have Cougar here every month to provide an extra high-quality match. Cougar gets pointed out as a good example for the rookies to follow whilst plaudits go to Silencer and Masked Stranger for good performance.

As for you, Portly-use or whatever it is, maybe think about your questions before p*ssing off the near 7 foot tall wrestling machine with muscles the size of boulders, eh?

February 2020: If there was one thing Hugh preferred about working in RMW as opposed to his days in New York…well, first up had to be working with his wife, he’d missed not having her around back in the day. But Damian was also a much better boss than Larry had been, which counted for a lot. Take creative, for example. Larry had always held booking meetings first thing in the morning at the company office in Harlem, and physical attendance was mandatory. Fair enough for Larry or Steve, who lived on Manhattan Island, but Hugh and Tammy’s place was on suburban Staten Island and the commute was a b*tch (especially given that ‘first thing in the morning’ for Larry could mean anywhere from half past 7 onwards). Then there was Larry’s constant preoccupation with the company’s finances, Steve’s tendency to mistake size for talent, and the pair’s terrible taste in coffee. Damian, on the other hand, preferred to hold his meetings in Hugh and Tammy’s dining room around mid-afternoon and didn’t insist on drinking something that had once had the concept of ‘coffee’ explained to it but had forgotten most of the key details. Plus he always brought home-made doughnut holes, which was obviously a big plus. “Okay, first thing’s first, how’re we looking after the first show?” “Financially speaking we turned a profit last month, just over 1300 dollars in fact, so we’re off to a good start financially. Reviews for the show itself were good, nothing astonishing but it got us off on the right foot. Nothing significant in in terms of increasing our name value, though.” “Not a problem, we just needed to not suck straight out of the gate. How’re we looking creatively?” “Well, the big Elite feud kicked off well, fans are clearly digging what we’re giving them and I’ve got plans on how that’s going to progress next month. We’re going to launch a new feud with Tavon and Lobo next month, make some use of that chemistry, and maybe look into giving Diaz or Romeo a feud to build around.” “But not Stallion, I see.” Hugh winced a bit. That one had not gone according to plan. “Yeah, that one’s on me. Turns out putting Stallion with Remmy was a bad call, he wasn’t ready to work that long of a match and we probably did more harm than good to his prospects. Give it time and we ought to be able to get him back up to the top of the card but he definitely isn’t ready for it right now.” “Okay, we’ll learn from that. What about the other youngsters, anyone there looking like a good prospect right now?” “Fans love The Hot Taggs, putting them in with Silencer and giving them the win worked out nicely. Tavon got pretty over too with that win, nothing insane but he’s definitely a key name for us going forward. Kinda why I booked the feud, really. As for most of the others, they were unknowns coming in and they’re unknowns now, nothing negative but no big gains out of the rookie set.” “As long as the crowd don’t hate them we can deal with it, it’s not like these guys don’t have time to learn and develop. RMW New Kid In Town Sunday, Week 3, January Audience: 77 The Show “It’s Sunday Afternoon, we’re coming to you from the Yellowstone Bar and Grill in central Sheridan and this is RMW Into The Great Wide Open! Fans, I’m Dane O’Hara and joining me on commentary is the man in charge, Rocky Mountain Wrestler owner Damian Carvill!” “When I first had the idea for RMW I was determined to bring together the finest talent in the Northwestern United States and beyond, and I’ve gotta say, Dane, I’m feeling good about this afternoon’s card! We’ve got stars like Quentin Queen, The Silencer and Remmy Honeyman in action plus up-and-coming stars like Tavon Blake, Wild Red Stallion and Kalder and Wolfie, The Hot Taggs!” “Coming up first, though, we’ve got the wrestling debut of one of the finest young wrestlers on the independent scene, Jason Patterson, so let’s get down to the ring and get this show underway!” ** Romeo Romaro vs. Jason Patterson One of the problems with starting a new company is figuring out what kind of quality to expect from the action; at this stage I honestly couldn’t tell you how good or bad this match was. On the whole, though, I’d say I was happy with how this match went as it did all the things I wanted it to. The characters got over great, they did a good job working the crowd and got them nice and warmed up for the rest of the night. Of the two Romeo was definitely the better performer by some distance, but then I’d expect that given that he’s a veteran and Jason’s been in wrestling for all of 2 years (and besides, Jason’s gimmick got a better response so that sort of evens it out). The win went to the veteran tonight, as Romeo put Jason down via pinfall after dodging a big lariat (which Dane noted is Jason’s traditional set-up for the Oklahoma Stampede) and nailing Romeo’s Lament . Winner: Romeo Romaro Match Rating: 24 * After the match has ended The Elite’s theme (I can neither confirm of deny that it’s ‘Book of Lies’ by Uriah Heep but I can see how you might think it was) plays, bringing the whole gang to the ring. Naturally, I grab a mic from the desk. “So, this is where the big boys play, huh? And judging by that guy in the front row you get some very big boys in this part of town, huh?” It’s worth pointing out that the boy in the front row is a fully grown man who clearly spends more time in the gym than Tammy does watching old One Life to Live episodes. “Well, there’s a new gang in town, and people, we are the best thing going! We’ve got The Silencer, the cerebral strongman, the man who can out-think and outfight you every day of the week! That’s right, even the heavyweight hoss by the concession stand in the Can-Am Express hoodie. Seriously dude, were they out of Stone Brothers merch?” Everybody knows how tight I am with the Stone family and they had a whole bunch of epics with Damian and Owen back in the day so it made sense to throw in the reference. “Then we’ve got Kalder and Wolfie, the Hot Taggs. I found these guys in Montana throwing fists with Grizzly Bears and people, it wasn’t the bears who walked away upright. We are The Elite, here to dominate RMW, and if you stand in our way…well, you don’t want to stand in our way.” “Okay, I’ve heard enough. Hugh, shut up and scram, will ya? Yes, your boys are good- believe me, I would never have booked them if they weren’t- but you say you’re going to dominate my company? Trust me Hugh, that’s not something that will happen, not with the talent in RMW.” “Really? Who’s good enough to stop this unit, huh?” “Quentin Queen? Wild Red Stallion? In your case, two trained monkeys standing one on top of the other in a big coat? Besides, I put this show together to show these fans some great wrestling, not so some weaselly little man from out east could turn the show into a one-man ego trip. That’s always assuming you’re actually a man, and not some kind of angry little goblin.” “Real funny Damian, real funny. You wanna be careful, though, statements like that could get a man in trouble.” “Really? ‘Cos I gotta say, Hugh, I picked fights with some real dangerous man back in the day, and you aren’t exactly a match for Johnny Bloodstone or Tim Westybrook in the menace stakes, y’know?” “I’m not, they are. Boys? TAKE HIM!” Damian is promptly scragged by The Silencer and The Hot Taggs, who beat him down. However, he Warriors Two charge out from backstage to make the save, driving the Hot Taggs back towards the ring in time for their match. This one was…mixed. On the one hand, all the gimmicks went over well, and I was really feeling the buzz out there, I had the crowd with me the whole time. However, at 7 minutes this was a bit too long for our audience, and whilst overall they were into it you could feel the energy starting to sag by the end. Chalk it up to a learning experience, but I’m not repeating a length angle like this again Rating: 25 * The Warriors Two vs. The Hot Taggs Well that certainly worked- this was a definite step-up from the opener, and whilst I had no issues with Romaro and Patterson’s work it’s good to know that the top guys can deliver when we need them to. Wolfie and Kalder admittedly showed their inexperience in this one, but they were still decent, and Kalder was clearly getting into his gimmick more as the match went on. As for the Warriors, they were both good but Stranger is definitely the better of the two; he was playing face-in-peril for most of the match and sold like a champ (which he technically is, over in NYCW) whilst Roger worked the crowd from his corner and made use of his ample charisma. In the end, though, the heels took the win after I interfered and threw powder into Stranger’s face, allowing the Hot Taggs to nail him with the Montana Slammer and get the pin. Winners: The Hot Taggs Match Rating: 29 * James Diaz vs. Jules Night vs. Jerry Pepper vs. The Masked Mauler VII Given that this featured four of our least experienced and least over workers it was no surprise that it was the weakest match of the night so far. On the plus side, James and Mauler both handed in really good performances and everyone’s gimmicks went over great and besides, it’s not like I expected this to be anything other than what it actually was so who really cares? They’re rookies and no-names, they’ll improve. I gave the win to the rookie monster as he’s the ones I have the most plans for; with Pepper and Mauler brawling at ringside Diaz hit Jules with the Thunderous Powerbomb and followed up with a quick pinfall. Winner: James Diaz Match Rating: 22 * Tavon Blake Jr. vs. Lobo Blanco Okay, I’ve found my number two or three feud; these two have pretty good chemistry and delivered a cracking match for two mid-level-at-best guys. We also had Damian back out on commentary (he sat out the last two matches to help sell his beatdown; Dane handled the tag match solo and I joined him for the four-way) so he basically called an audible and used the commentary to put the pair over and build towards a rematch, which is much easier when you’re the boss and can say ‘y’know what? I can tell this isn’t it for these two, I’ll have to book a rematch’. Blake (the better performer of the two, though Lobo was still better than anyone on this card except The Warriors Two and maybe Romeo) took the win with his trademark Piledriver. Winner: Tavon Blake Jr. Match Rating: 27 * Wild Red Stallion vs. Remmy Honeyman Yeesh, that was…not good. We had this booked to go 20 minutes as Remmy’s our number two heel but Stallion was lost out there and totally gassed by the end and that really dragged things down. Not that I blame him, he’s a rookie and it’s my fault for giving him more to handle than he was capable of, I should’ve known better. As for Remmy, he did his best (which is still great, for the record) but the crowd weren’t really into his gimmick and that limited what he could do to carry things; sure he can bump like a madman and make Stallion look good but when the crowd aren’t buying into your scheming that undermines it’s hard to take control and that what was needed. He took the win via pulling Stallion into an exposed turnbuckle and hitting him with the Flying Legdrop after he went down. Winner: Remmy Honeyman Match Rating: 24 * Quentin’s entrance theme (which may or may not be Headlong by Queen) announces his arrival, accompanied by Alison. “Tonight, I’m going up against one of the biggest men I’ve ever seen, and I was schooled by Tana The Mighty and BLZ Bubb so you know what that means, right? See, this guy know what I’m talking about” The guy in question is the gym bunny from earlier who was wincing in sympathy pain. Nice touch from Quentin picking up on that. “Silencer, you’re one tough hombre, no doubt about it, and we’ve already seen what you’re capable of once tonight, especially with the Halifax Hobgoblin in your corner. But there’s one thing you don’t know, one real important detail you need to be aware of when you get in this with me. I am not afraid of you.” The crowd actually whooped a bit for that, apart from one guy who I’ll refer to as Elite Fan #1 thanks to his Silencer t-shirt who yelled out that Q-Ball was talking crazy talk. “I know, it sounds crazy, huh? The guy’s nearly 7-foot-tall and I think his forearms are the size of Tabitha here’s whole head, how could I NOT be scared of him? But the truth is, I can’t remember the last time I was really afraid of anyone who got in this ring.” Elite Fan #1 clearly indicates that he’s questioning Q-Ball’s mental health. “Now, this guy in the t-shirt will tell you that I’m probably crazy and maybe he’s right, but honestly, I’m not afraid of The Silencer because I know I can beat him. Silencer, you’re tough, you’re fast, you’re certainly no idiot and you’ve got quite the schemer in your corner, but I am Fearless Q, Quentin Queen, and there’s not a wrestler has been born or will be born that I can’t beat. You want that Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title? You’re gonna have to go through me. Now Bring! It! ON!” Holy smokes. Yeah, that was the best segment of the night by some ways, the crowd loved Quentin’s interaction and went mad for the finale (though Tabitha bouncing up and down like someone had offered her a lead role in the new Marvel movie probably helped). Rating: 47 * Quentin Queen vs. The Silencer There’s nothing quite as satisfying as the match you were relying on to deliver making good. This was the best match of the card, and Quentin’s performance was the best of the night (it’s always nice when your problem characters make bringing them in worthwhile). Not that The Silencer was bad either; he matched Quentin almost blow-for-blow and was definitely our top performing heel of the night. Throw in an excellent contribution from yours truly and a red-hot crowd and you’ve got a main event match of the night and a very vindicated booker. Queen took the win here; when Silencer went for his Extreme Prejudice submission Quentin was able to reverse it into the Q-Ball, and Tab was able to block my attempted interference to allow her man to take the 1-2-3 and win the Rocky Mountain Heavyweight Title. Winner: Quentin Queen Match Rating: 35 Overall Rating: 33, with the terrific main event and Tavon/Lobo making up for a fairly mediocre undercard, the massive overuse of Stallion and too much Hot Taggs. Plaudits go to Quentin for his great performance and to Tavon and Lobo for delivering over expectations.

Really enjoying this so far, looking forward to the supercard.

Has anybody else had their workers skills decrease straight out the gate? Ran my first show with RMW, and by the end of January my announcer Dane O'Hara's skill had dropped from 60 to 59. In that same period James Diaz also had a decrease, as technical skill went from 51 to 50! I don't think it's a bug as it's only hit those two guys, it's probably just a destiny stat or a shift in how it's rounding the decimals but it's pretty funny all the same.

That's weird- I brought Tamara McFly into RMW and she's only on 30 dollars a month same as most of the roster.

I love the new finance screen, it's so much easier to follow everything.

Apparently in the C-Verse a lot of the stables break up as part of correcting the face/heel balance on rosters, so it could be a similar thing in mods. It also has a tendency to form stables specifically to split them up in turns (I've seen two separate games where a stable was formed and then split two weeks later at a big event when one of the members turned on another).

Looking forward to Malice- this format works really well but it'll be nice to see a full in-depth look at what the roster can do.

The source of the foul magics that had prevented the Vancouver Canucks from ever winning the Stanley Cup, for one. Why on earth it had taken an IRS investigation to figure out that Richard Eisen was dodgy as sin, for another. And of course, the biggest mystery of all: what on earth did Vicky even see in Sean McFly in the first place?</p><p> </p><p> Not that Hugh could talk, really, what with the whole marrying-Sean’s-sister thing. But still, taking the mick out of Vicky’s romantic choices was his privilege as her best friend, and it wasn’t like he had a lot else on his plate at the moment, what with being out of the business for a year and a half. After all, in between adopting Hanson and Gracie and moving to Wyoming (Hugh really had no idea why they’d done that, but Tammy had decided and Hugh never argued with his wife unless it involved wrestling or Tammy’s utter wrongness in supporting the Bruins), Hugh just didn’t have it in him to travel the kind of distances required for a wrestling gig in these parts. Not to mention that with AAA having closed down the nearest outfit he’d actually want to work for was nearly a thousand miles away on the other side of the border, so yeah, he was out of the business for the foreseeable future.</p><p> </p><p> Not that it was all bad; Damian Carvill and Cat Quine lived a couple of hours’ drive away, and given that they had two kids under the age of 5 and a way with dessert making it all worked out rather nicely. Hugh’s kids got extra money for babysitting, Damian and Cat got time away from their kids, and Hugh and Tammy got access to Damian’s homemade doughnut holes and Cat’s bread-and-butter pudding, which Hugh was reliably informed had once made Anne Stardust actually smile for a whole five minutes. Look at Dan’s kid, they took him backstage at North of the Border shows before he was out of diapers and he’s doing great work now.”</span></p><p> </p><p> <span style="color:#800080;">“True, but I’m fairly sure Cat would rather Mercy and Luke’s first words weren’t suplex or bodyslam. No, what I need from my booker is the kind of in-depth understanding of proper old-school wrestling that you learn from spending 16 years working for The Stomper and Larry Vessey. That’s what I’m trying to do here, bring old-school wrestling to a crowd that might really love it, and nobody knows old-school like you do Hugh, not out here. Remmy Honeyman and Riley McManus were always guys I liked that never really did a lot. Over in Australia I was always fond of Fuzzy Freeman too.

Classic Balanced is also a good one for guys who want a few restrictions but not too much.

I'm having a lot of issues using the search filter Based In: Near to [insert Region Here], unless sur, sureste and centro regions in Mexico are near to Quebec. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me?

Looking forward to this- I'm using some of the same guys in my RMW game that will probably turn into a dynasty so it'll be interesting to see how you use them. Randall Hopkirk v ??? It's hard to be certain without knowing who the surprise guest is- if it's an old rival like one of the ex-TCW guys I could see Randall winning. That being said, it's more likely to be someone Randall puts over as the others have said Greg Rayne (Rayne Man) v Cip Conduit Conduit kinda sucks and Rayne's one of your top guys Jack Pride v Remmington Huniet (Remmy Honeyman) If I was booking this I'd go the other way but Jack's textbook OCW stuff and Remmy's perfect for getting younger guys over Charlie Corner v Gio Peltoni (Pepper Pelton) I'm guessing Pepper's teaming with Remmy judging by the names, so he goes over to give the pair some credibility Leftie Wilkes v Romeo Romaro Bit of a coin-toss but I think Romeo fits OCW's product better

Okay, let's everyone cool it, okay? There's no need for all of this arguing. I like the beta, I've not had any technical issues (like, at all, it's actually kind of weird) and like the game more than 2016, but I can respect that other people have had different experiences and different opinions and that's fine. Everyone disagrees on something, let's stop saying the same things over and over again, 'kay? Negativity helps nobody.

It's an interesting thing, given the general reaction, but I vastly prefer this to 2016. I think a lot of that's down to the database- I honestly found the cverse in '16 to be deeply uninspiring and was never really enthused by it- but this one seems so improved that I'm finding my experience and reaction to be wildly different from what seems to be the general consensus. Honestly, the only thing I'd change is recolouring the red buttons to something else as I find it very harsh.
