  1. It was a great show. My wife doesn't like it, but if you can get past the 1st episode (which somewhat dragged on) then you will be good. It was a fantastic series and deserves all of the awards it got. I still and one of those weirdo's that likes cartoons and this is a pretty good show the community is awesome. NBC may be horrible every other night of the week (outside of Chuck and Cape) but Thursday's are perfect with them.
  2. Very sad about the good guys. It was a really good show to me.
  3. I didn't have a problem with the fourth season. I would honestly suggest it's up to you. Do you want somewhat of closure or are you not invested in it enough to care?
  4. I actually like it. It's only had two shows but it has kept my attention so far.
  5. why does everyone think Cam Newton will be good a QB in the pro's? When I look at Cam I see a very good athlete who will probably get picked in the first round because of all the hype. I like Cam and wish him well, but how many times have we listen to the hype from Mel Kiper and McShay. My thing is how many times have we seen the best athlete on a college field be just another athlete on the pro field. Cam reminds me of VY 2.0 just not as good of a passer.
  6. Doubt it would be Christian. Officials don't even think he'll be back by WM. Now this could be smoke a mirrors like with Cena. Personally I always saw KOTR, MITB, and the Rumble as stepping stones for futures superstars i.e Steve Austin when he did it the first time, Batista, John Cena, etc. Now when a established guy wins it, it's either they are coming back from injury or because there wasn't anyone WWE saw as a future Champ at that moment
  7. So I looked at the thread from the beginning of last offseason and man did we all make some bold and dumb predictions lol. 1) No one expected the Bucs to win more than 8 games. 2) Most thought the Redskins would contend for a playoff. 3) Cowboys were a couple SB favorites. 4) People thought the Pats were rebuilding for the future. Well they are but the present isn't looking to shabby. 5)NFC South was the best conf this year in the NFL 6) Most thought Carolina would be an okay team with people thinking 6 to 8 or 9 wins was in grasp. 7) Bryan Bulaga did a very good job for the packers as a tackle. 8) Randy Moss, Brett Farve, Darren Sharper aren't elite anymore. 9) Wade Phillips, Brad Childress, Josh McDaniels, Eric Mangin, John Fox, Tom Cable are no longer employed. 3 of the 6 are not a surprise, two where supposed to contend for the SB this year though 10) We saw the future is bright with young QB's, Matt Ryan, Sam Bradford, Josh Freeman, Colt McCoy, Tim Tebow. 11) The NFC West is a joke 12) Both Manning struggled 13) Young coaches are the way to go 14) There is still a lockout looming 15) The Glazer are reportedly putting Man U up for sale 16) For the first time in a long time the SB playing teams made it back to the playoffs 17) Tom Brady is the MVP favorite, but has a lot of suiters like Brees, Manning, Ryan, Freeman. 18) With the amount of injuries piling up 18 games is going to be hard to sell to player with out a full retirement type benefit. 19) Michael Vick can throw 20) McNabb might soon be on his third team in 12 months, him and Moss could join forces in Tenn. and make music together. 21) I don't think we ever have seen 6 of the top 10 teams picking in one draft have a chance to win their division or make the playoffs the next year (Rams, Bucs, Raiders, Chiefs, Jags, Seahwaks.)
  8. I thought Gortat would have been the better option to keep. Now we need a backup center and we might have to push Daniel Orton into action sooner then we wanted.
  9. Hedo is a much better Defender then Carter and J-Rich can defend well as well. The big reason he was traded away from the Bobcats was because they got two good defenders in return.
  10. I think these trades are interesting. Lewis for Arenas straight up was great to me. Yeah Arenas has a backed loaded contract and will be with us longer than Lewis by a year, but he is currently younger than Lewis can play PG and SG and if this trade puts energy back into him then Orlando would have one by a landslide. Lewis hasn't performed at all since the finals. J-Rich I like better than Vince as well. They both get hurt, but Jason has still shown he can drive, plus he has the great corner 3. Hedo coming back does give the magic a couple things. First, his 3pt shot as provided it's best % the last two years. 2nd this allows the magic to uses a huge lineup again with Hedo as the PG. I will miss Gortat but everyone else was expendable.
  11. well he would be in the NL which usually has better pitching. I think if the Phil's could do it they would be money. Blanton as your 5th starter and Cole as the 4th.
  12. Someone said earlier this year after the Moss trade that they were rebuilding this year, but man they just seem smart. Got something for him, got Branch back for less then what they got him for. Found a nice running back. That team is dangerous and wouldn't be surprise if they win it all. On a side not did anyone catch the Jets vs Dolphins and what that coach did?
  13. isn't there lease up anyways? Not a lot of people know this, but the Vikes have played in the stadium rent free for about 6 years now I believe. If this doesn't convince Minn to give them a stadium nothing will lol.
  14. lol well at least we can say the Rays will never buy a team
  15. One...the Texans have become notorious for losing when it counts most. He's never even taken them to the play-offs, despite a string of strong drafts and Pro Bowl type players on both sides of the ball? He also has had injuries pile up on him and a pretty weak O-Line in my opinion. Two...Kubiak made his name in Denver with that zone blocking scheme. McDaniels completely dismantled that scheme and turned over that offensive roster to go to that spread. If you bring in Kubiak, you're automatically throwing away the next season so that you can go BACK to the previous scheme. He still has two memebers of that squad who played for Shann. that know the scheme (one is pretty good to). The LG and C and fairly young. I think Kubiak would do well there and Bowden has shown he will spend to have a good team. They still have picks for Marshall I believe and all four picks they used in the last two 1st rounds could still develop
  16. so quick random thought about Urban and the NFL. Bowden needs a pro-Tebow coach if he wants to give Tebow a chance..... so why not the most pro-tebow coach in the world lol
  17. After doing some more research into the contract you are right. Bronco's still owe him 3.5 for this coming season as well, the previous article that I came up with said he only had two years left on his deal when he was fired. Now, if they can get off the hook for Josh's contract and figure out what is going to happen with this lockout there are quiet a few good coaches out their who deserve a shot. Marty Shot. little boy has done a nice job in NYJ, Gary Kubiak hasn't been great with the Texans, but if he finds himself unemployeed he could be a great coach to help Tebow develop. Kubiak was QB coach with the 9ers during one of Steve Youngs best years (not saying Kubiak was the reason). In his 11 seasons with the team, the Broncos amassed 66,501 total yards and 465 touchdowns, he helped Jake Plummer regain form and Matt Shaub is a pro bowler working under him. He has also a coach who has found running back Adrian Foster. I think if Kubiak gets fired he would be a great fit in Denver. He has ties there, nows ownership and he can develop the talent there.
  18. Still see Jacksonville. When the Rams win they have sold that stadium pretty well, and St. Louis is pretty good about giving teams that win titles. Now Geographicly Rams make more since to move since they are more East then the Cowboys who play in the East division. But Jacksonvillie is a huge city/county and they just cannot generate a fan base. The Stadium sells out more for a College game then pros and I believe when the superbowl was there people were complaining about it how there really wasn't anything to do there and how the stadium wasn't that great. Jacksonville is a great city, but they are in a horrible area. They are within 200 miles of three teams that are 30 years or older. Jacksonville is also a big move to city so the fanbase just isn't there and I am not sure it ever will be. People cried when they didn't draft Tebow, if you are going to quit on a team just because they pass on a hometown hero (and even though I like Tebow) I am not sold he will be a great QB in the NFL.
  19. When he signed a new contract that money went away, now if I am wrong about which I could be then they are still off the hook his contract because it only had two left when he was fired. I do believe though that once he agrees to a new deal in the pros his other contract is gone. That is probably a big reason why Gruden didn't get back into coaching after last season. Why leave whatever he makes from ESPN, plus the what the Bucs give him.
  20. I doubt they would suspended him for the rest of the season. Finn has been in trouble with the league before this where Johnson has pretty much been a poster boy for what NFL wants it's players to act like before this happened. Even after the game Johnson issued and apology about what happened and Finn kept his mouth shut.
  21. I believe so. Mike Williams has had a great year at WR but Bradford helped turn around a horrible franchise at the key position.
  22. They said Finn didn't throw a punch but I thought I saw him throw the first hand/fist to the face.
