  1. p { margin:0; padding:0; line-height: 1em; } (Apologies for the delay, boring life stuff stuffed & thanged) Championship Wrestling from St Louis - March 2020 Staff Road Agents: Tyson James Bailey & Warren Tewksbury Referee: David Poker Announcers: None Attendance: 104 Blue Dragon vs Eric LaMonica Something of the usual spot for both wrestlers as the third Eagle Championship Wrestling show in a row was started out by Blue Dragon and Eric LaMonica in their continued war for bragging rights. Attempting to go toe to toe with Blue's speed tired out LaMonica to start - to the disapproval of Warren Technique at ringside - however Blue's inexperience and inability to focus on one opponent was his downfall. Failing to capitalise on the momentum in his favour by constantly keeping an eye on LaMonica's seconds, Blue would be overwhelmed by LaMonica and tap out to the Clutch Control double armbar. Eric LaMonica defeated Blue Dragon in 8:39 by submission with a Clutch Control. Rating: 30 Looking around the ring like a lost puppy, Eric near sprinted over to Warren Technique with his arms raised in victory. Pleading for approval from his mentor, the joyous (for one person) moment was ruined by Drop Kix and Flying Patriot making their way to ringside. A brief back and forth between The Learning Tree and their apparent rivals followed with Drop Kix audibly calling Eric LaMonica a word not fit for family audiences - luckily, few children attend ECW shows. Warren Technique, defender of taste, was not amused and cold clocked Drop Kix to start the next match. Drop Kix & Flying Patriot vs Reilly Patton & Warren Technique A 2 on 1 encounter for the first part due to the previous sucker punch, Flying Patriot more than held his own against Warren and his star pupil Reilly until Drop Kix recovered with a very close near fall on Reilly almost seeing the mini series go to 1-1 for the night. Tagging out to Drop Kix saw the match shift to a more even affair with Kix keeping Reilly at bay and forcing Warren to step in to recover for his team. The veteran knowledge shone through (with copious amounts of unfair play by the San Diego native) and after just over ten minutes, Warren had the W after forcing the Flying Patriot to tap out to the STF. Warren Technique and Reilly Patton defeated Drop Kix and Flying Patriot in 10:01 when Warren Technique submitted Flying Patriot with a STF. Rating: 38 Another Young & Wasted video played in the aftermath of the previous matches. Taking more shots at Hot Funk - the duo's age being the prime target of Young & Wasted's poor jokes - the joking pivoted to Bret Kyle's opponent for the night Robin Newman with Bret taking point. After a minute of Bret calling Robin the worst wrestler he'd ever seen as well as Cheyenne taking some cheap shots about Robin's looks, the video ended with a succinct interrupt of Robin Newman - "bro, what?" Bret Kyle [w/ Cheyenne & Taylor Norton] vs Robin Newman [w/ No One] The first solo outing for Bret Kyle in ECW, the brown haired half of St. Louis' least favourite tag team carried himself with a supreme air of arrogance as he stood across from Robin Newman. Refusing to take his opponent seriously at first, the arrogance saw Bret on the receiving end of a schoolboy after he turned his back on Robin to joke with his fellow Young and Wasted members. Taking events more seriously after nearly suffering the embarrassment of losing, the match was pretty much all Bret's with his beautiful Shooting Star Press putting Newman to bed for the evening. Bret Kyle defeated Robin Newman in 9:23 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press. Rating: 28 Kid Fantastic vs Onslaught [w/ Nathaniel Ca$ino] Almost something of an adopted son of the Midwest, Kid Fantastic stood alone against the West Coast aggression of Onslaught and his partner in crime Nathaniel Ca$ino in the penultimate match of the show. As has come to be expected from Onslaught, the highly aggressive luchador barely gave Kid Fantastic a second to get in the ring before rushing him and taking the fight to the white haired wonder. Helped by Ca$ino at ringside, it looked like Onslaught would walk away a somewhat unexpected victor but Kid Fantastic's resiliency saw him survive more and more until an errant trip meant for Fantastic caught Onslaught. Seizing the opportunity, the Fantasm put Onslaught away for the three count. Kid Fantastic defeated Onslaught in 12:23 by pinfall with the Fantasm. Rating: 32 Enraged by the ending of the match, Onslaught looked on at the barely celebrating Fantastic before charging him. Continuing the theme of the start of the match, Onslaught battered Fantastic from pillar to post all while Nathaniel laughed on the outside. Eventually stopping his rampage, Onslaught and Ca$ino made their way to the back whilst David Poker helped Fantastic to his feet to a standing ovation. North American Wrestling Alliance Junior Prestige Championship Crowning Match Leftie Wilkes vs TJ Bailey The first official NAWA sanctioned match to happen in St Louis just happened to pit two of the top wrestlers in ECW against each other for the NAWA Junior Prestige title - the last of the titles to have champions crowed in the alliance. A predictably even contest between the two, Leftie's bag of tricks failed to phase the older head of Bailey leading to panic within the young Bostonian. Going down the route of faking an injury, Leftie made sure David Poker's attention was on him before "accidentally" bumping ECW's head referee into his opponent to turn the tides of the match. From there it was near enough academic, the Boston Whiplash putting TJ Bailey down for the count and seeing Leftie's hand raised in victory by a somewhat irritated David Poker. Leftie Wilkes defeated TJ Bailey in 15:49 by pinfall with a Boston Whiplash. Leftie Wilkes wins the NAWA Junior Prestige title. Rating: 39 Leaning on the ropes with his newly won title grasped firmly, Leftie was the ever gracious winner ECW fans had come to expect. Refusing TJ Bailey's post match handshake, Leftie rolled out of the ring and began to head to the back until COMMOTION occurred in the ring Not content with their brutality from earlier, the pairing of Nathaniel Ca$ino and Onslaught were in the ring kicking lumps out of TJ Bailey. Choosing to flee, Leftie hightailed it out of St. Louis for the month whilst the West Coast duo stood tall over their fallen foe. Final Rating: 35
  2. He deserved it for leading to the break up of Team FIST.
  3. Hey true believers. Just a lil' Christmas beat for you all. I had plans of getting a DLC pack out this week to add a whole new host of guys into the world that were majority rendered by @Markw (but not all, jhd does have a few in there) however that plan is a liiiiiittle delayed (it's coming but in classic Thunderverse fashion, I missed a deadline I set for myself so now I'm just working on it if/when). There will be a few small fixes too with it and it'll just be the Plus version (so unlike last year where both the base and a fuller pack were dropped as a download). After that, I'm going to be more or less done with major updates/additions for the Thunderverse and this TEW - jhd will forever reserve the right to pick up the gauntlet and work on stuff if he wants, this is still his brainchild. If you don't have this by like the end of January or any further news, feel free to prod at me with a stick. Hope everyone has a happy holiday period over the next week and a bit. Eat, drink, be merry and watch the Winter Classic on the 2nd of January. #NotAnAd
  4. I'm currently reading back through this for funsies and this made me laugh so hard. We went a complete 180 from this hahaha.
  5. Back up is good, it's nice that wrestlers have friends.
  6. It's been a week my guy, give it time to breathe before deciding on an arbitrary line between known/over.
  7. I don't think this is Jericho's intentions at all. For all that Jericho has his sins and seemingly favourable booking, he's a guy who has been in the business longer than some people watching AEW have been alive and it's pretty obvious whatever influence he has is helping AEW out so I think he's fine on this one. It's a dumb complaint to pick on it for the act of seemingly being self serving and charitable.
  8. all of the supreme wrestling federation galaxy three years ago when scythe retired skullington debones

  11. I've taken this to assume you wanted to the post unhidden, sorted that for you now. If it's not what you wanted, shoot me a message and let me know.
  12. Championship Wrestling from St Louis - February 2020 Staff Road Agents: Tyson James Bailey & Warren Tewksbury Referee: David Poker Announcers: None Attendance: 99 Drop Kix (captain), Blue Dragon & Flying Patriot vs The Learning Tree [Warren Technique (captain), Eric LaMonica & Reilly Paton] The official debut of Warren Technique, Eric LaMonica and Reilly Paton as a trio in ECW, the heirarchy was clear as Warren directed the pair throughout the match. Showing his veteran smarts, Warren's tactics had his young proteges on the front foot throughout the most of the match. Inexperience and overconfidence would be the downfall of The Learning Tree however as a series of flashy moves from Eric led to him falling victim to Blue Dragon and a Relampago Schoolboy [Ed Note: Skayde Schoolboy, Skayde doesn't exist in this world though] with a frustrated Warren on the side holding Reilly back from breaking up the pin. Drop Kix, Blue Dragon and Flying Patriot defeated Warren Technique and The Learning Tree in 12:09 when Blue Dragon pinned Eric LaMonica with the Relampago Schoolboy Rating: 36 Post match, Warren refused to let Eric and Reilly leave the ring until a public post match debriefing was done. Criticising both men's efforts in front of the paying fans - Eric for his moves over mind approach and Reilly for doing nothing to break up the pin for the team (Reilly looked set to protest before a look from Warren saw him fall back in line) - Warren finished by stating that next month Eric better redeem himself in a solo effort without either Warren or Reilly at ringside. A new face to ECW audiences, a promo from the self proclaimed "Realest, Toughest, Cutest Professionalest Wrestler" Robin Newman aired. Making loud proclamations that no other wrestler needs to bother since he's around now (despite looking a buck fifty soaking wet), Robin declared tonight was step one to him becoming the grand champion of all of the Mid West. Looking like he was ready to state more promises, a shrieking call from off screen saw the promo hurriedly end but before the audio picked up Robin being admonished by what appeared to be a maternal figure for something. Cheech Kong vs Robin Newman A fairly by the books affair considering how Robin clearly sees himself as a professional wrestling, he unsurprisingly didn't mount much of a fight here against Cheech Kong - a man who seemed perplexed at times by Robin. Ending things just over six minutes with a moonsault, Cheech left the ring with his arms held high. Robin also left the ring with his arms held high, still seeing himself as the realest, toughest and cutest clearly. Cheech Kong defeated Robin Newman in 6:05 by pinfall with a Moonsault Rating: 33 Bret Kyle & Taylor Norton [Young & Wasted] vs Jazz Funk & Too Hot [Hot Funk] A rematch from last month where Young & Wasted took the victory over Hot Funk, both teams knew more about how they operated as partners and opponents which led to a bit more of a drawn out match. Young & Wasted tried their seemingly usual tactics (cheating) against the more seasoned duo of Jazz Funk and Too Hot but the tricks failed to work on this occasion with Billie Krystal at ringside helping to play the great equaliser. Gaining a measure of revenge and tying the impromtu series at 1-1, Too Hot gained the win with the Heat Seeking Missile after the ten minute mark. Hot Funk defeated Young & Wasted in 10:05 when Too Hot pinned Bret Kyle with the Heat Seeking Missile. Rating: 27 Refusing to take the loss in their stride, all three members of Young & Wasted proceeded to throw a temper tantrum in the ring at their loss - blaming everyone from the referee to their opponents to the Governor of Missouri for Bret Kyle being pinned before staring at the retreating victors... ...who stood at ringside laughing their heads off with the winner's purse in their accounts. Onslaught vs TJ Bailey A match requested by TJ Bailey after the events of last month, the young East Coast based Onslaught came out alone with no backup from his ally Nathaniel Ca$ino. A being of pure aggression, Onslaught lived up to his name - not even letting TJ's name be finished by the ring announcer before crashing into him with a flying tackle. A scrappy affair with TJ constantly having to get out from underneath Onslaught's swarming offence, veteran experience came through with Onslaught's blind rage eventually catching up to him. One TJ Time later and it would be TJ Bailey's arm raised by David Poker. TJ Bailey defeated Onslaught in 9:20 by pinfall with a TJ Time. Rating: 37 Taking to the microphone after the match, TJ leaned on the ropes and beckoned for Nathaniel Ca$ino to show. Getting his wish, TJ kept it short and sweet. Wanting another shot at Nathaniel now his lap dog is out of the way, TJ petitioned for the match to happen at next month's Championship Wrestling from St Louis event... ....only to be met with refusal by the well dressed nuisance who simply turned and walked away to the fury of his waiting rival. MAIN EVENT Kid Fantastic vs Leftie Wilkes The main event of the evening pitted the two biggest winners of last month's debut show against each other, the perpetually morose Kid Fantastic vs the Boston arrogance of Leftie Wilkes. The majority of the match saw Leftie trying to get inside Fantastic's head but seeing all of his attempts either fail or be flat out ignored, drawing Leftie into further fits of anger each time. Eventually kicking to life, Fantastic was a whirlwind of movement in the ring with Leftie struggling to keep up. Seeing the match slip away, Leftie would roll outside of the ring for a breather and caught his breath just in time to move out of the way of a Kid Fantastic dive. Dragging him back into the ring, the Boston Whiplash kept Fantastic down just enough for the self proclaimed Massachusetts Messiah to get his second win in ECW. Leftie Wilkes defeated Kid Fantastic in 14:39 by pinfall with a Boston Whiplash. Rating: 42 Final Show Rating: 38
  13. NAWA Special Report - February 2020 Stood in front of a banner with the logo of the North American Wrestling Alliance, Fern Hathaway of New York City Wrestling was on duty for this special update on the ongoings of the promotions in the alliance. The first NAWA champion was crowned at FCW's annual The Fight for FREEDOM event with the devious Frederique using all of his wits and House Handsome help to overcome the granite fisted Bradford Peverall in a match for the ages (Rating: 70) Exciting months ahead for the entire alliance as new Jr Prestige and Tag Team champions are expected to be crowned within the next few months.

  18. p { margin:0; padding:0; line-height: 1em; } In the past... TJ Bailey - Larry Vessey Casually Dressed and Deep in (Phone) Conversation LV: "You'll be fine Tyson. Learn from Troy's mistakes, don't run the company into the ground the way he did. Bringing in the old guard is fine but don't make them the centrepiece of the show. Only ends badly that way." In the present... TJ Bailey Alive in Post Show Glory The show went better than expected, or so TJ thought. No injuries? Check. Good gate for a first show? Check. No post show complaints.... Harry Allen Third Check Denier TJ's thought process was broken by the jingle and jangle of Harry Allen's cowboy boots. Looking up to see the stern faced Aussie-American standing in front of him, TJ knew what was coming. HA: "So when am I getting the win back Tyson?" He wasn't. TJ: "You aren't." The past words of advice from Larry played in TJ's head. Harry had some name value courtesy of his TCW tenure but that name value saw him demand a higher booking fee than was comfortable in the budget. Troy had banked on the name value bringing in new fans and it killed the territory, TJ wasn't about to let the same happen here. TJ: "I told you, this was a one night appearance. Leftie is going to be one of our big names going forward, we don't have the money in the budget to bring you back month to month." HA: "That wasn't what was discussed and you know it Tyson. You might have Larry's backing but that won't help you if this is how you're running this shop." With that, Harry picked up his bags and walked out of the small hall where ECW's name would begin to grow. TJ stared ahead as Harry walked away and with a sigh, deleted his contact information from his phone. One less person to consider for bookings in the future.
