1. Nuggets didn't have to trade him. But it was probably the smartest of the two decisions.
2. Yet everyone says Dixie has no business running a company, etc. I agree a balance must exist between established stars and new talent. But the audience is more interested in established stars by and large.
3. And surely because it worked 13 years ago, it will work today. Point taken.
4. You shouldn't speak relative to the result though. If you are waiting to cross the street, but then see the oncoming car turns a block before it gets to you, was it a bad idea to wait? You wouldn't have gotten hit regardless.
5. To be fair, the part about Dixie/Russo/TNA was prefaced by saying in his opinion (not fact). And ratings have dropped because people just don't care enough like they used to, for whatever reason. More choices. Poorer product. Same stars. New "stars."
6. Kind of goes in hand with what he's saying. People on the Internet claim to want more of a new blood feel in wrestling. But the majority of the audience connects more with the established stars.
7. Maybe so, but don't a lot of companies look at the 18-34/18-49 demo for advertising purposes? We shouldn't just use numbers that make us look better when we've never used those numbers before. You might be right Peter, but what is the significance of the 12-17 (in terms of advertising $)?
8. I see it the same as when someone badmouths their previous employer in an interview. Would you want to hire that person, considering the things they may say about you down the line? Same thing applies here. Talk up YOUR franchise's future (new coach, young talent, whatever). Again, if he was such a coward and a quitter, Miami did Cleveland a favor by taking LeBron off their hands.
9. Is it too soon for someone in South Florida to say that the Yankees getting Lee and possibly Werth would be noxious?
10. Considering both teams combined for just over 100 points in 3 quarters, it's safe to say the team needed him to. Yet he didn't/couldn't.
11. But still, if he's such a horrible person, why did you want to sign him?
12. Possibly, but I guarantee you that if Wade had left, Mickey Arison wouldn't have acted the same way either. Wade may not have been born here, but he's by far the most popular athlete in South Florida, and it would have set the franchise back 10 years (like when Shaq left Orlando). But a letter that said "LeBron, thanks for the memories. We are now looking to the future, blah blah blah" would have been infinitely better than "Cleveland will win a title before the Heat do/LeBron's a coward and a quitter."
13. How about thanking LeBron for his service and wishing him well in his future endeavors? How about talking about LeBron the way Mickey Arison talked about Shaq on his way out (when he burned bridges and threw people under the bus left and right)? And if he's such a "quitter", why did he want to sign him to a max deal? Why not go after someone who is not a quitter? That's where I think he's off base.
14. I think it's hilarious. All these people complaining about how over the top the press conference THEY WERE WATCHING was. Um, how about not watching then?
15. A better swerve would have been LeBron retiring.
16. Did you call a So. Fla station yesterday and get berated by the host? Because that's what a caller said and the host was "Is this a prank call? Because bringing up those 3 players is making it so difficult for me to take you seriously." He even closed by saying that the Heat don't even know who those guys are. Mike Miller got offered 5 years, $27-30 million, fueling speculation that the Heat will lose out on LeBron OR that the Big 3 will be taking less than max in order to ensure they get better pieces around them. Also, Gbait...Magic getting rid of Nelson? I mean, they already got Duhon, and you want Paul...that leaves Nelson out. It's not like this is the Knicks, who like to load up on a position while overpaying.
17. J. O'Neal went to the Celtics. We also don't know if the Big 3 are taking less than max to make room for other guys. Also, Beasley needs to go.
18. I'll say Miami, Cleveland second, NY third (with Amare), New Jersey fourth and Chicago fifth. The whole point of Chicago was to get Bosh there too. I'd rather see Miami get a Boozer/Heywood combo up front with Bosh. I've also read of them getting Reddick from Orlando, but didn't hear how.
19. I still say Miami or Cleveland. I'd say Cleveland, only because it'd be a huge slap to the face since the decision will be made on national TV.
20. Wade and Bosh to Miami. -- Reported by ESPN My guess is LeBron to Miami or staying in Cleveland.

The writing was superb under the first team (who was gone in season 7). Some choices just didn't make sense after that.

And I love House. Especially how stuff from previous seasons (even just small bits of information) get brought up again later. Not something you need to know to understand the episode, but serves as a frame of reference.

23. Online World of Wrestling has Belladonna listed as a TNA Alumni, but unfortunately, no profile. I read somewhere that she worked indy shows after leaving TNA, and is taking time off. Return uncertain.
24. Can't wait for free agency to pick up. I'm tired of: "Chris Bosh was seen taking a leak at the Miami airport. He is signing here FOR SURE!" passing as news.
