  1. They should also run to the ring in slow motion during thier intro in order to allow people to bask in their sexiness. Have them keep on coming out to 'save' people but they do it in slow motion so they never actually get there in time.
  2. Here's the hill i want to die on: Tony Khan should absolutely buy the rights to the Baywatch theme song for The Wingmen and have them do promos from various beaches as they work out, show off their abs to all who are interested, get ready to hit the clubs, touch tips, and generally be best himbo buds. I have been waiting since Hot Boy Summer 2021 for a Wingmen push. Wingmen Wednesdays is NOW.
  3. They also really like and respond well to The Wingmen (my own personal #1 favs) but they also tend to forget who they are until i remind them like i had to for Wingmen Wednesday. I maintain that Dark and Elevation are really good onboarding for people new to wrestling. It's free, easy to access, short and sometimes silly, and has plenty of goofing around from commentary.
  4. In other AEW news. I have had the pleasure of first hand experiencing my sister and her husband both get into wrestling (AEW) over the last two and a bit months while staying with them and its been a very wonderful experience. Their favourites are: Eddie Kingston Tazz and Excalibur William Regal Nyla Rose Orange Cassidy (last night they came to ME to tell me about did i know about Fire Ant and The Colony) The Acclaimed & The Ass Boys Daddy Magic & Cool Hand Ang Jungle Boy and his Dinosaur Danhausen Willow Nightingale (quickly climbing the charts) They also tend to have the most fun and maintained attention from watching Dark / Elevation.
  5. "WBW had attracted a cult following by pitting mainly German faces against heels from across the continent, with a few of the city's subcultures also represented in gimmicks. The formula had already made them one of Europe's best indys, and their new owner, Jan Steussen, did little to change the product aside from using his hard-earned money to bring in the best wrestlers he could." WBW West Berlin Wrestling 1974-19XX Berlin City Traditional / Classic Balanced
  6. Speaking of the 70s mod and logos being saved from photobucket
  7. Does anyone have the .. i think it was a TEW modders manual document? It had deeper explanation of the NBT text and stuff if i remember correctly?
  8. Yep its from that era, i made a verison where the woman was purely just neon and one like the above, and the latter got a little lost to time so just did some digging to get it back.
  9. Thought id already posted this but apparently not. Rescued this battle babe version from the impenetrable fortress of solitude that is photobucket: currently hunting around through varous cloud / online storage spaces to see what i can find of older logos that got lost along the way but are okay enough.
  10. Want to just say after my previous misguided post(s): I'm having an absolute blast playing this after accepting the impending doom of half of the territory companies going out of business within the first 12-18 months is historically accurate and therefore 'working as intended'. APWF seems to have about a 1:5 chance of pulling up out of the fire at the last minute before cancellation but has no hope anyway with Lambert alienating everyone show by show. AAFW can't pull up from their spiral down. CWB nose dives AND loses Gene Plumelli to retirement or natural causes CPW does okay but has the looming infamous Preston Holt's trip to the casino. while TWL and CWF stay strong but have SWF going from strength to strength.
  11. Thanks! yeah its been a lot of fun to dive into and flesh out a little.
  12. "Wrestling had always been a part of Japanese culture, but from the early 1900s to the 1930s, Giant Pro Wrestling was the only major promotion in the country. This time was known as the "Giant Era". It's stars became national icons. However, in 1933 Giant Pro Wrestling went out of business under mysterious circumstances. The way GPW had closed shattered the public's trust in wrestling. This led to the "Dark Era" where no wrestling events happened in Japan." GPW Giant Pro Wrestling 190X-1933
  13. "Based in The Compound in the deep woods of Oregon, Final Battle Wrestling was a very insular promotion employing only true believers, with most of the in-ring action being based on books or teachings of the great leader Papa Bear Reilly. MRX, the second in command, was in charge of all day-to-day handling but still had to answer up the command chain - however after the sudden death of Papa Bear, he steered the act and its teachings toward a very different and more terrifying direction. FBW Final Battle Wrestling 1976 - 198X Performance Art / Gory Hardcore
  14. "AICW, founded by Walter Crowe, was a concept based off Dale Christian's succesfully promoted "King of Wrestling" tournaments which borrowed talent from the major promotions in North America and brought them together for brief tours. After a one year period Crowe's finances had dwindled significantly and he had to sell to Dale Christian. Christian kept the focus largely the same, but brought in some established foreign talent to bolster the talent levels in the promotion. He also started CICW, a sister promotion for the company. The idea was to send talent back and forth and start to build a consistent roster that could be used year round." AICW / CICW American Independent Circuit Wrestling / Canadian Independent Circuit Wrestling 1972-??? / 1975-??? Golden Age Pro Wrestling / Family Friendly Pro Wrestling
  15. TWL doesnt have a specified TV show but quickly gets one in the 77 mod so i figured it was simplest to go with how WCCW had their 80s intro treatment using their company name rather than a show title. That way it can cover whatever the player/AI chooses.
  16. "Aspiring promoter Rocky Streets held things together well for a couple years, but signed a big money contract to help Rich Eisen get SWF off the ground. TWL seemed doomed to close until the Lone Star Stampeder made a last-ditch offer to keep it running. "
  17. "Started in 1968 by wrestler/promoter extraordinare Clint Wayne, the Texas Wrestling League was one of the first territories to organize in the United States. With the only other major U.S. promotion 2,000 miles away in Boston, TWL had half the country to themself for a brief period of time. The Texas Wrestling League were a long-time feature of the southern wrestling scene, running in various guises from the late sixties all the way through to the mid nineties. Their longevity was down to keeping things simple and giving the fans exactly what they wanted. Amongst the famous champions from TWL's past are names like Professor Nero, Pat Deacon, Chief Two Eagles and Rip Chord." TWL Texas Wrestling League 1968-1995 Classic Wild West
  18. Yeah its really satisfying to put them together with a mind to how they're a mix of physical Lectraset designs and Scanimate motion graphics for the tv. That good old text over a star field wrestling tv intro type of thing - rather than the modern clean digital stuff.
  19. "All American Florida Wrestling, run by Dick the Devastator, is the foremost promotion in the Southeast territory and one of the earliest to form in the United States. AAFW's biggest asset has been being able to rely on Dick to stay around as the top star while still sharing the spotlight, and numerous launches into the wrestling stratosphere began in AAFW, such as Dan Stone, Micky Starr, and Rip Chord." AAFW All American Florida Wrestling 1968-1978 Southern Wrasslin'
  20. Thanks! yeah they're in the latest release of TCPs 2007 mod now. Was very happy with how they turned out especially once they were booting up in game.
  21. "Preston Holt's CPW was one of the more stylistically open-minded promotions in the United States, accepting wrestlers from a diverse background of styles." CPW California Pro Wrestling 1972-1983 Fast and Furious
  22. Was slowly merging this mods image folder and an old backup of my main and two jumped out at me as off: João Vicente is a Black wrestler but now has a white profile pic. Shooting star perez is a male wrestler with a female profile pic. Also noticed theres no Eras - which could be useful for added historical detail. The 97 mod has a great modern set that covers up til past 2020.
