  1. that last one was very much a *urgh ive been trying to get photoshop 3D to work for too many hours and this is going to have to be close enough and move on* design.
  2. oh yeah the youtube clip cuts off before the reveal, ZMAN watch the second clip with Moxley confronting MJF
  3. oh yeah totally but returning AEW originals will always get that face rub pop, especially in a scenario like this where people were worried he might be gone for good. Got to let people have that moment and then remind them why they love to boo you.
  4. whaa? might want to watch it again? he drops the face act half way through and throws the jersey on the ground. he was doing a take off of Punk's whitemeat babyface promos including the calling a fan fat and all. Basically gave the audience catharsis by allowing them to chant him as a face for his return, rehash Punks role these past few months, and then give them him revealing he was playing them all along and turn heel - followed by Mox menacing him out of the ring and defending AEW from him etc etc. Good symbolism and satisfaction in-world for fans reeling from whats going down backstage. Was kind of like being a sin-eater i suppose.
  5. amazing thank you for sharing, had missed this entirely. Absolute banger of a match, great showcasing and step up for both of them.
  6. Ok have got it more or less together, just a little worried about putting up something that is 99% someone elses work without being able to clear it with - especially with board rules about getting permission. The transfer to the new board means MrT's DM box is full so i cant send a message.
  7. Every time i read a new dynasty it feels very much like diving into a different world, the names are familiar but beyond that ive never felt like any character had a specific voice beyond what the writer was giving them. Ive seen so many different interpretations, there isnt a wrong way really. They're very much vague canvases which is why i love Cverse / Thunderverse etc so much more than real world games.
  8. seemingly passed it off to the CLO which is why she was said to have only been there for part of the confrontation and was looking after Larry. Also honestly thank god someone got Larry out before he decided he had to get involved to protect his best friend from harm
  9. Yeah Alicia Strong is second generation wrestler and daughter of an icon so much more Charlotte. SWF didnt have a womens division so the closest approximate for SWF alum might be Jessie? But of womens wrestlers i think the closest is Catherine Quine, Canadian womens wrestler, born 1972, 100 star quality, "gets a lot of media attention on the grounds she is incredibly hot", Irrepressible impossible not to like attitude.
  10. Thanks! yeah i def do want to return to them and finish off the full default set at the very least. Just got a little out of steam with doing them temporarily so pivoted to the 70s promotion stuff to keep productive while i recharge.
  11. i mean no, you could say Punk and Colt falling out caused all of this, but if you want to go far back enough you could also say actually I caused all of this. I reached out to Colt Cabana in 2011 offering to make him a t-shirt, Punk wore it at the wrestlemania pre event, it ended up selling so well that the tshirt company did billboards with Colt wearing it, which lead to the company pivoting to being pro wrestling tees dot com which became a big financial backbone for indy wrestlers and money for The Elite people, which lead to All In, which lead to AEW and the tshirt company setting up shop together, which lead to Colt and Punk being in the same company together etc etc But i only reached out to Colt because i really liked Chikara So really its Fire Ants fault.
  12. yeah i seem to remember Alvarez commenting back when Punk gave the receipt that he'd had to actually ask Punk what moment he was talking about because he hadnt noticed it and was like "that?!?" it is certainly intriguing as to why Hangman set off Punk so much when Kingston and MJF didnt when all three feuds had them saying the same thing. Big detail that came up today in the SRS stream was that most of the heat on him was coming from Punk saying "i'm trying to run a flipping business here". Which i was kind of waiting for anyone to mention that part.
  13. Can anyone say which products the Age of Memes Era Trend relates to? The rest seem explanatory but im a little lost for that one.
  14. yeah like i was thinking just the rare moments that they need someone to do serious talk to the camera time like TK did at the top. But totally agree, wouldnt want to overload him.
  15. Im a little biased due to how iconic Shiavone's voice is calling matches so i don't want to lose him from commentary. Taz, Ex and Tony are my dream trio with Regal popping to flirt heavily with the man in the mask every once in a while as a treat.
  16. they really could do with choosing someone to be the mouthpiece of the management. Like TK isnt an onscreen persona, Tony Shiavone as head of talent relations would be better suited to make those announcements.
  17. Yuta v Garcia for the Pure ROH as the main event feels like such a fortuitous timing moment of New Generation after the last few days. I am hoping for some Kingston. It feels a great time to be putting him into a build. And of course more Wingmen Wednesdays #WingmenWednesday
  18. SRS: "When i heard him say: "none of these people have been anywhere or done anything" im like ok well whats that implying that WWE is the only place that has done anything? Because if im remembering correctly they sold out 10K and would have sold out 15K for All In if they wanted to. This company was named after them. They sold out numerous venues before Punk got there. Is New Japan nothing? Is the Tokyo Dome nothing? Was the fact that MSG for ROH sold out on the assumption that those guys would be there - they werent - but the assumption theyd be there sold a lot of tickets, is that nothing? To me i thought that was seriously minimizing what happened and the work that these guys put in. I just thought that was pretty rough."
  19. yeah def. The short two and a half minute match was a nod to his two and a half minute MMA loss which was also in Cleveland. So it was meant to be like a way to incorporate that and have Punk picking himself back up finally and coming back to overcome his fears etc. It was a nice little bit of storytelling.
