  1. I would definitely like to see a change made where by you don't have to wait a whole year to get a new deal.

The first “original content” produced exclusively for the service, “USPW Plus” will also feature the complete USPW library, in one place, for the first time ever. Coming off the back of a Stars, Stripes & Slams pay-per-view that many felt restored a “status quo” within the company, this event looked to do the opposite. Ushering in a new era of how USPW do business regarding talent acquisition, tickets to the show were made free to anybody who wished to attend, albeit with strictly limited availability. One TotalExtremeWrestling.com contributor was able to get a ticket, and sent the following report.</span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48440" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>Contributor Note:</strong></span></span></span></div></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-size:8px;"> We were told when each “new episode” of the taping began, but due to the nature of the show, things may be shuffled around for the final production.</span></span></span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><strong>Episode #1</strong></span></span></div></div></div></div></div><ul><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Having advertised an appearance from “The Business”, the show opened with Charlie Thatcher, Dusty DuCont & Rajah coming to the ring (no Sterling Whitlock, or Rich Money, unsurprisingly). They set up a match later in the night with Fro Sure and Kip Keenan, and it seemed like this may be a continuation from something that will happen on American Wrestling this week, as they mentioned a “humiliating 7 days” and not just the defeat at Stars, Stripes & Slams. After the match, Mallory was beat down two on one. Drebin & Jones stood out as huge guys on this show, and had a scary aesthetic that called back to USPW teams of old. Shane Sneer would’ve loved them! The attack afterwards definitely caught the attention more than the match itself, which was pretty drab on account of nobody knowing who these two guys were. He signed off, promoting USPW Plus - which had launched earlier today - as the only place to see these shows. </span></span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> </span></span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> Overall, there was a lot of decent stuff and a lot of poor stuff on these shows. It is to be expected due to the nature of the company, but some of those matches will need a lot of polish and creative directing to make them look good on screen. Considering what is expected of USPW, there is a lot of work ahead for many members of this roster. There were however, a number of really impressive performances, and Ernest Youngman, Fro Sure and Kip Keenan seemed to adapt well to their new surroundings. Similarly Anthony Trask, Funky Fedora and the other guys who have worked the USPW main roster before, showed their experience, and helped keep the show on track. Those guys will likely be who the company build around going forward, and with tickets on sale for USPW FTR House Shows over the next few months, it might be best to keep the likes of Texas Hangman and Pepper Pelton on those less high profile shows, while they polish up their in-ring work.</span></span></div></div></div></div></div></div></blockquote><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> </span></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana;"> USPW FTR airs on “USPW Plus” from Friday night, and is available worldwide. And then with the members of FTR being on the show did well to put the whole thing over, it just all seemed professional. </p><p> </p><p> I also liked Tyson Baine and Rich Money's like about following the money, makes for a good catchphrase. </p><p> </p><p> None of the results were particularly surprising, which obviously isn't a bad thing, but there's still definitely some interesting questions going forward, most notably for me what you're gonna do with Nicky Champion now. I'd presume going after Rich Money but it depends a lot on the direction you want to go. His promo gave of real strong Cena vibes, and I suppose there's the same sort of questions around Champion, will he turn heel? after years of going through everyone is there anybody he can't beat?</p></div></blockquote><p> Thanks, I was keen to have a bit of crossover with FTR, so I'm glad it came across well. It was, as I said above, a bit of a "status quo" show, and when Jaime Quine dropped the title I thought I could either make an impact with Pariah getting the win and capitalising on her momentum, or go with Alicia Strong and have a safe pair of hands to then build to a title change. In the end I decided it would have a bigger impact if someone was winning the title from Alicia Strong, rather than just as a vacant. So I went with the safe option. If Alicia Strong is Charlotte Flair, Nicky Champion is John Cena in my mind. Obviously I don't want to book them exactly the same, but as a basis they help. </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="DevilofNG" data-cite="DevilofNG" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="48440" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Curious to see where the story goes from here. It seems the logical choice to go with Nicky vs. Rich, but I'm a little torn as to whether it is too soon to put Nicky back in the title picture. 5. If you go into the editor and find "starting absences", and there is a record with his name, delete it, and you should be good to go. I'm not 100% sure what "inactive" is, but if you want to keep the starting absence, it might be worth checking his individual worker record in the database and seeing if he's set as "Left The Business". Changing that to active should remove the error, just as deleting the starting absence would.
  6. USPW Stars, Stripes & Slams 2020 USPW Stars, Stripes & Slams 2020 “From The United States… To The World!” Date: Saturday, Week 4, January 2020 - Location: The J. Bomme Pentagon in Newark, Delaware - Attendance: 50,000 [The first “Special Event Broadcast” of the decade began with a video package, which largely focussed on the three “marquee” matches, the two top title bouts taking second billing to what appears to be the “Main Event”. Nicky Champion will go one on one with Steve Frehley, in a match with a hugely significant stipulation. If Nicky Champion is unable to defeat Steve Frehley, he will leave USPW forever. Footage from Thanksgiving Thunder, where Frehley appeared to end the career of Nicky Champion was shown, before Nicky Champion’s triumphant return ended the video package. The last time these two men faced, Steve Frehley picked up a hugely decisive victory, and Nicky Champion will have to bring his game to the next level, if he wishes to remain a part of the USPW roster.]<hr color=red><hr color=blue>[Following a pan of the huge sold out J. Bomme Pentagon, the commentators welcome viewers to this “Special Event Broadcast”, with a notable absence at ringside. While Belle Bryden isn’t here, there is a chair and a headset where she would normally sit. During their introduction, Brock Cornish & Emily McQueen address this.] Brock Cornish: … and you may notice that Belle Bryden isn’t here with us tonight, and we’re going to do our best to fill that void until her replacement is ready to take their seat. I must stress however, that Belle’s absence is a choice that she made herself, in light of recent events. Emily McQueen: And for those that missed it, I think we need to get that footage up now. In fact, lets see everything that happened to bring this Womens Championship match together, from what was a remarkable episode of American Wrestling this week… [Footage from “This Wednesday” shows the intimidation tactics from The Triumvirate, which ultimately led to Belle Bryden slapping Alicia Strong across the face. Debbie Rose & Kate Lily then made their debuts to save Bryden from a beating at the hands of the group, but it was confirmed after the show that USPW management would launch an investigation into the incident. We also see the sad moment where Jaime Quine was forced to vacate the USPW Womens Championship. Later in the night, Pariah won a four way match to be added to the upcoming title match, and will join Alicia Strong, as well as the two previous number one contenders to the Womens Championship.]<hr color=red><hr color=blue> <hr color=red><hr color=blue> <hr color=red><hr color=blue>[Heading to the locker room, Casey Valentine is approached by his partner for the night Rick Law. As Valentine continues to try and “win round” his fellow USPW roster members, he challenged The Business for a match earlier this week. At a loose end, Rick Law offered his services.] [Rick Law thanks Casey for letting him pick their partners, but CV says that it was a “no-brainer”, since he isn’t that popular around here. Law said that wouldn’t matter, because their partners hadn’t been around here before. Casey was confused, until Law called two “new faces” into the room.] Introducing themselves to Casey as “Fro Sure” and “Kip Keenan”, Rick Law explained that the two men were part of the FTR roster, and he’d spoken with James Justice who was more than happy to give them the exposure. Law said he’d seen these guys work, and The Business won’t know what has hit them tonight. Casey offered his hand to Fro and then Kip, and the team appeared to be on the same page!<hr color=red><hr color=blue> <hr color=red><hr color=blue>[Heading to the back, Danny Jillefski is shown outside the office of The Business. The USPW Founder brings in his guest at the time, Rich Money.] [The USPW World Champion looks unhappy, and as Danny Jillefski asks him about tonight’s match with Running Wolf, Rich cuts him off.] Rich Money: Once again, Mr. Jillefski, you fail to ask the most salient question. Right now, you should be asking me about Running Wolf and the USPW World Championship. You shouldn’t be asking me why James Justice feels it necessary, to add another match to this card, after colluding with members of this roster against The Business. Casey Valentine and Rick Law both knew about this match at least 24 hours before I was informed, and to make things worse, my associates have learned the identity of two of their opponents less than an hour before the match. This gives us next to zero time to adjust our strategy for the evening. I would question why this is the case, but it’s quite frankly self-evident. James Justice holds a grudge against me from his wrestling career, and now he holds this “power”, he wants to use it to unseat me from the top of this company. The bad news is, “The Commissioner” is no more than a ceremonial title, held by the person most willing to serve as the “face of Reverie” on USPW television. If you want to find the real power… you follow the money. So thanks for asking, Mr. Jillefski, because up next, The Business will take down that assortment of asskissers… and I will leave this dump still USPW World Champion…<hr color=red><hr color=blue> <hr color=red><hr color=blue> <hr color=red><hr color=blue>[That pretty squabble was pretty quickly put into some context, as the commentators sent to the back for an interview with Nicky Champion. Danny Jillefski stood by, and reminded viewers that tonight may well be the last time we see Champion in USPW. If Nicky Champion loses to Steve Frehley tonight, he will voluntarily leave the company. The “USPW Founder” asks Nicky’s thoughts ahead of the match.] [Danny is the perfect man to ask the questions to Nicky Champion, and Hawkeye shows a comfort and familiarity towards Jillefski that he likely wouldn’t with any other interviewer.] Nicky Champion: Danny, you know more than anybody how important tonight is to me. You’ve been there from day one… heck, you’ve been there from before day one. You gave a young kid a chance when nobody saw any potential in me. (Briefly turning his attention away from Danny to address the camera.) If you don’t believe me, search the name “Tom E. Hawk” on “USPW Plus” on Monday morning, and tell me how this man (pointing to Danny) saw anything in that little punk kid. [Nicky Champion turns back to Danny Jillefski, who is humbled by the praise he receives from a USPW legend.] Nicky Champion: Along with my mentor, Sam Strong, I owe everything to Danny Jillefski… just like every fan of this company owes everything to this man. But tonight, I have self-imposed a stipulation that could bring my whole world crashing down. As much as I try to explain myself, some get it, some don’t… and that’s completely fine. (Emboldened) What matters to all of them, is that I have no intention of tonight being my last night in USPW! [Nicky Champion then returned to his normal “promo mode”, as if going back into “character” after a very real exchange with Danny Jillefski.] Nicky Champion: See they call Steve Frehley the “Career Destroyer”... and I look down the list of names he’s taken down and I see my friends, my colleagues and my heroes. Men who have built this company brick and brick, and men who had their time here cut short by the most dominant force in USPW history. I believe Frehley when he says that he doesn’t set out to end careers, because I know just how dominant he is when simply looking to win a match. At Thanksgiving Thunder, he almost added my name to that list… So the Nicky Champion you see before you, has nothing to lose. I thought I’d lost it all already, I have grieved for my USPW career already, and if tonight is my last night… I gave my all to promote this company, to build this company, and to represent this company for 15 years of my life. Tonight is the single most important match my entire career… but Danny, there’s no way it’s the last!<hr color=red><hr color=blue> <hr color=red><hr color=blue> <hr color=red><hr color=blue>

  8. I was thinking about this the other day, and wondering how many people have truly "left the business" in reality and stayed "left the business". I couldn't think of many if we're considering people other than the types who didn't make it. Real world mods, particularly current day, should probably have very few actually "left the business", but with hiatuses now having pre-set weeks it makes it tricky. You'd essentially be having to guess how long you think somebody is going to be on hiatus, where as I liked the randomness of it previously. I do think it's a shame as well that some of those names in the C-Verse will never come back, and I'd love if - even with Left The Business - there was a small percentage chance that they'd come back. Or if they had a separate "talk to" screen with only a few options, where you could say you'd give them "X money for one appearance" (which would be good for a Christian Faith guest appearance on Supreme TV) or "X money for one more match" (which could allow you to maybe get Champagne Lover in for three months and one match but only once every 1-2 years). You'd likely have to pay them way above what they'd normally ask if they were active, but it would be nice to be able to do it. Even if at the moment, "Left The Business" is doing exactly what it says on the tin.

  10. Really love the look and everything about this mod. Just have a few questions on overness. I don't follow ROH as closely as I once did, but I noticed they have 22 major stars in the company. I know it's relative to company size and you can't fully control it, but some workers still feel like they shouldn't be so high IMO. Brian Milonas, TK O'Ryan, Vincent (all 55) stand out, putting them on a level with Bobby Lashley and Bobby Roode. There's then guys like Haskins (10) and Tracy Williams (17) who are so far away from that level that it feels like there a huge gap in the roster. Loads of major stars, loads of unimportant, very few in the middle. This might be intentional to reflect the company, but would be interested to know. Likewise with Impact, there's a lot of major stars, while the other perceptions have just a few. Like I said, I know you can't control the perception system, but there looks to be a lot of people at 55 overness in the mod in general, but very few at 50, 45, then quite a lot at 40, very few at 35. I know you asked earlier in the thread when someone commented on overness to give examples and you'd respond, so I'm interested if this is something that will be looked into for next time Really great work on the mod overall, thanks.
  11. HBICs are coming into their own and I'm looking forward to what Winter does. Really great show again, with a good ending I'm so tempted to steal all your ideas for my save such good booking!
  12. USPW Stars, Stripes & Slams Preview USPW Stars, Stripes & Slams Preview “From The United States… To The World!” Date: Saturday, Week 4, January 2020 - Location: The J. Bomme Pentagon [sOLD OUT] - Broadcasting: Worldwide... only on Reverie!<hr color=red><hr color=blue> If Nicky Champion Is Defeated, He Leaves USPW Nicky Champion vs. Steve Frehley At Thanksgiving Thunder 2019, Nicky Champion was defeated by Steve Frehley, in what many expected to be the final showdown between the two men who would go on to be named co-winners of USPW’s “Rivalry of the Decade” award just a couple of months later. Both men had placed so much importance on this match, that it appeared to be the contest that would finally settle the question of who was “the better man”. When Steve Frehley came out victorious, it wasn’t the first time he’d defeated Nicky Champion, but many felt it might be the last. Not because of any of the pre-match build, but because of the state Nicky Champion was left in after the match. Previously these bouts had been back and forth affairs, matches where it took only one mistake or one inspired move to make the difference. Thanksgiving Thunder 2019 was different. Steve Frehley comprehensively defeated Nicky Champion in a way that nobody had ever seen, “Hawkeye” looking anything but “The Destroyer’s” equal. In the post-match, Nicky Champion was left in a heap in the ring, and when he did come round, his look suggested something was up. He spent a considerable amount of time embracing the fans in the front row, and took an elongated look at the packed Mississippi Bowl before leaving. Nicky Champion would not be seen until the second week of January 2020. Meanwhile, a nickname previously thrown around infrequently stuck. Brock Cornish dubbed Steve Frehley “The Career Destroyer”, and Nicky Champion was added to a list of names believed to have had their final match against him. Steve Frehley went on to defeat Rick Law at Made In America, before annihilating The Force just four nights after. 2020 looked set to be a year of unopposed dominance for Steve Frehley, as he once again defeated Rick Law in a Last Man Standing match during the “USPW Decade Awards” show. At the end of that night, the USPW Wrestler of the Decade was named… and Nicky Champion made his return to United States Pro Wrestling. The following week, Nicky challenged Steve Frehley for what would truly be “One Last Match”. Cutting a passionate promo in the ring, Nicky Champion said that he’d not seen one second of USPW American Wrestling since Thanksgiving Thunder, and claimed he wouldn’t be able to move on in his career until he defeated Steve Frehley. “The Career Destroyer” had no real reason to accept the challenge, until Champion added a shocking stipulation. If Nicky Champion doesn’t beat Steve Frehley at Stars, Stripes & Slams… he leaves USPW! Accepting the challenge with a sneak attack in the back, Steve Frehley later said that while he’d never asked to be known as the man who ends careers, at Stars, Stripes & Slams, he was going to do… what he had to do!<hr color=red><hr color=blue> USPW World Championship Rich Money © vs. Running Wolf Long-term fans of USPW know all about Rich Money. Since joining the company over 5 years ago, the USPW World Champion has shown a willingness to sink to never before seen depths, in pursuit of power, influence and Championship gold. This is a man who already has enough money to live 10 lifetimes, and he won’t hesitate to remind you of that fact. While he’s always looking for ways to make more money, his “Business” in USPW is simple. The retention of the World Championship at any cost. Since winning the title from Nicky Champion at Independence Day Slam 2019, with the help of his stable known as “The Business”, Rich Money has been dominant as World Champion. When Nicky Champion couldn’t get the title back, and Rick Law suffered the same fate against his old rival, Running Wolf stepped up. Close friends with Nicky Champion, the two men stood shoulder to shoulder until Thanksgiving Thunder. While Nicky Champion took a hiatus from the company, Wolf went full steam ahead. Having risen through the ranks as a “homegrown” USPW star, Running Wolf stepped out of the shadow of his best friend, and earned his first World Championship match at Made In America! Coming closer than anybody else has since Rich Money became the Champion, Running Wolf was thwarted by the predictable involvement of The Business. Rich Money looked to move on, but when James Justice was installed as the Commissioner of USPW, he gave Running Wolf another title shot, this time at Stars, Stripes & Slams. Since Nicky Champion returned, he has repeatedly sung the praises of Running Wolf, and singled him out as the man he believes will end the reign of Rich Money. Everything is riding on this World Championship match, and many feel Running Wolf may just pick up a career defining victory at this Special Event Broadcast!<hr color=red><hr color=blue> USPW Womens Championship (Currently Vacant) Alicia Strong vs. Melody vs. Pariah vs. Sara Marie Despite being a huge moment in its own right, this Saturday’s Womens Championship match can not be detached from the context surrounding it, as Jaime Quine was this week forced to vacate the Womens Championship that she had held for 6 months. Having laid down the title on American Wrestling, this match was arranged throughout the night, with Pariah winning a match to join Alicia Strong and the two number one contenders Melody and Sara Marie in this hugely significant Championship match. All four competitors have been in fine form recently, and the match is completely wide open, as they each vie to become the new Womens Champion. Alicia Strong has had personal issues with just about everybody recently, but Melody and Sara Marie were the first two to stand up to her. Pariah on the other hand, doesn’t involve herself in “personal issues”, instead focussing solely on in-ring competition. This has been seen as a refreshing change by sections of the USPW audience, and many feel this approach could be the difference at Stars, Stripes & Slams. On the other hand, The Muscle Monsters are seen as a key factor in this match. Alicia Strong of course feels that becoming an 8 time “World Champion” is her right, and - as ever - will stop at nothing to secure that.<hr color=red><hr color=blue> USPW World Tag Team Championships Jett & Moor © vs. Natural Storm Widely considered as the best tag team in the world, and recipients of the USPW “Tag Team of the Decade” award, Natural Storm didn’t have a great start to the new decade, as they were defeated by Jacob Jett & Julius Moor in a World Tag Team titles match. In fact, it has been a little while since D.C. Rayne & Eddie Howard held those Championships, and the record-equaling title holders are clearly desperate for the chance to pull away from The Towers of Power, with their 7th reign as the Champions. This Saturday, they will receive another shot at the titles, one that they only really earned as a result of their winning of that “Tag Team of the Decade” award. Jett & Moor will be keen to prove that this next decade belongs to them, and are clearly far from ready for their first run with the titles to be over...<hr color=red><hr color=blue> USPW National Championship Match Roger Cage © vs. Zeus The main crux of this rivalry has been the numbers game employed by Zeus, whose Olympus Order have targeted Roger Cage since he took the National Championship from Dusty DuCont in October. Despite a failed attempt to take the Championship from Cage in December, Zeus didn’t give up, leading Roger Cage to spell things out for him as simply as possible. On the first show of the year, Roger Cage challenged both members of Bad Intentions to face him. When Bash Street & Siale Valhalla defeated Roger Cage, the Champion made it clear that he'd proved his point. Bad Intentions could beat him, all three members of The Olympus Order could beat him. But one on one, Zeus could not beat Roger Cage. The following week, when Savage Fury walked out on Cage during a six man tag team match, Zeus did actually get a pinfall victory over Roger Cage, but the point still stood. At Stars, Stripes & Slams, it will be a one on one match, and while The Olympus Order’s presence is likely to be felt, the question remains… can Zeus beat Roger Cage?<hr color=red><hr color=blue> Bulldozer Brandon Smith vs. Trent Shaffer Despite being very different people, from very different backgrounds, there seems to be a mutual respect developing between Bulldozer Brandon Smith and “The Talent” Trent Shaffer. Most commonly described as a “brash jerk”, Trent Shaffer’s personality couldn’t be any further from that of Brandon Smith’s, but the level of in-ring ability the two men have shown, appears to have resulted in a begrudging respect. While they’ll surely never be friends, they have each scored one victory over one another, and seem to be simply focussed on proving which one of them is the better competitor. Two of USPW’s rising stars, many feel that Smith & Shaffer are just one big win away from superstardom, and for the winner of this match, that may just be what awaits them. On the precipice of greatness, Trent Shaffer and Bulldozer Brandon Smith both know how important victory will be, at Stars, Stripes & Slams!<hr color=red><hr color=blue> Chris Caulfield vs. Joss Thompson Having left USPW in February 2019, the last thing Chris Caulfield would have expected was to be competing for the company on the first Special Event of 2020. However, having won an alumni “American Dream” Battle Royal at the USPW Decade Awards show, Chris Caulfield made himself an enemy. Joining the match to replace an ex-USPW competitor who had to pull out, Joss Thompson expected easy pickings against the veteran performers, but when Tyson Baine made a surprise return, he was eliminated by Chris Caulfeld. Since that night, Joss Thompson has done two things. Target Chris Cauflield, and avoid Tyson Baine. While nobody can explain Tyson Baine’s recent actions, the fact Joss Thompson wants nothing to do with him is very clear. While “The Complete Package” will be confident of earning vindication in this match with Chris Caulfield, he’ll certainly be keeping an eye out for “The Angel of Death”, who could strike at any moment…<hr color=red><hr color=blue> <hr color=black> There's a lot of good stuff on the forum at the minute, so thanks for checking this out Quine's injury is one of those incidents where at first I hate that it takes me "off the rails" of the plans I had set out, but the process of working out what to do next is one of the most fun parts of playing the game. I had ideas for the division up to about Independence Day Slam, and now everything has changed
  13. USPW News Round-Up: January 2020 Petr Novak Suspended Due To Violation Of Wellness Policy Former World Tag Team Champion Sent Home For 28 Days Thursday Week 2, January 2020: USPW.com released a statement earlier today, confirming that Petr Novak had been suspended for 28 days, in line with the promotion’s “Wellness Policy”. On American Wrestling, Novak and his partner Krusher Karloff appeared in a “Tag Team of the Decade” segment, and attacked Natural Storm. This was expected to set up a match for Stars, Stripes & Slams. In light of the news, those plans will be dropped, as will The Cold Warriors’ rivalry with The Texas Express. The biggest rivalry of the two youngsters’ careers, it is said to be a big blow for Cooper Christie & Turk Trenneman, who were expected to go over. This is surprisingly the first violation of USPW’s wellness policy from Novak, with the company operating a three-strike rule.<hr color=red><hr color=blue> Elizabeth Cartier Announces Pregnancy Member of The Business Took To Social Media To Share The News! Saturday Week 3, January 2020: USPW’s Elizabeth Cartier took to social media earlier today, to announce that she and her husband were expecting their first child together. Currently the manager of Dusty DuCont, and a member of The Business, Cartier is expected to be off TV with immediate effect, as she prepares to become a mother. USPW congratulated the happy couple on their social media, saying: “Congratulations to @ElizabethCartier and her husband, who today announced they were expecting their first child. Everybody at USPW wishes them all the best during this exciting time!” While wrestling is of course secondary in this discussion, Cartier has been a huge part of Dusty DuCont’s act for over 7 years, and it will be interesting to see how he does without her. As part of The Business, Dusty DuCont will not have to worry too much, but Elizabeth not being at ringside for a match of his will take some getting used to.<hr color=red><hr color=blue> Jaime Quine Seriously Injured At House Show; Expected To Vacate Womens Championship USPW Womens Championship Announcement Set For American Wrestling Sunday Week 3, January 2020: Following up reports from last night’s “USPW Live!” house show, sources within the company have confirmed that Jaime Quine is expected to miss “significant time” in the ring, after suffering an apparent Torn Rotator Cuff while wrestling Pariah. Jaime Quine is the current USPW Womens Champion, and was scheduled to defend the title at Stars, Stripes & Slams against Melody and Sara Marie, but the company have been forced to make contingency plans, which involve the title being vacated. Winning the title at last year’s Independence Day Slam, Jaime Quine cemented herself as one of the top female competitors in USPW, defeating Melody to become Champion for the first time. Since then, she has made a series of impressive title defences, and got over a “social media obsessive” gimmick, which was popular enough that she was expected to turn face in the very near future. It will be back to the drawing board for USPW creative, with Melody and Sara Marie expected to compete for the Womens Championship at Stars, Stripes & Slams. As always, plans can change, with the company having apparently previously considered Pariah as the next Womens Champion of the company. Her match with Jillian Jarvis may be shelved, if the company wishes to go through with this plan. TotalExtremeWrestling.com will be the first with any update on this story, with an official announcement expected to be made on this week’s USPW American Wrestling.<hr color=red><hr color=blue>Other News Stories From January 2020 Pablo Rodriguez joined USPW, creating a hostile relationship between USPW and members of The COTT. Captain Wrestling II, Debbie Rose and Kate Lily joined USPW. Later in the month, USPW announced the launch of “USPW Plus” and their “FTR Development Program”. OLLIE signed a deal with El Canal Del Hombre to broadcast their events. Rumours suggested EILL had helped them to secure this deal, as the struggling OLLIE later agreed to “develop talent” for the biggest promotion in Mexico.<hr color=black> Thanks Frehley and Rich as top heels has given me some difficulties, as I'm struggling to see why Frehley isn't going for the title. Especially after beating Nicky at Thanksgiving Thunder. So maybe it would be something worth considering. Enygma is one of a few people who have been with USPW for what feels like forever, so hopefully I can do something different with him. Wolf is in a spot where they've been pushing him, and he's got a team with Nicky Champion, but he isn't quite there yet from what I've seen. I'm not convinced he ever will be. He's risen the ranks a fair bit though, to my surprise, he's a 73 when the game starts.
  14. The wrestlers saying nothing to the police was a great touch. Loved that. The Croft mystery as well is great. Always fun to have a storyline with "suspects" and eliminating them one by one! The five minute time limit stipulation was really smart from the champs. Frogue's attempt at Swoop's intro made me laugh, and the main event having a cut away to Tombstone was good. There's so much unique stuff in this, I'd love to see a real life wrestling show like this. The idea of a thud being heard from above and a wrestler living under the ring. Again, it's like a trivial everyday thing of having a noisy neighbour in the flat above, but this guy lives under a wrestling ring good finish to the main event too. RAW is such a crazy show, another great episode! Looking forward to the Open Invitational, and the wrestler's court segment

He was still great afterwards in a limited role, but I think he would have been far better off as an 'final boss of goodness' than the main event role he still maintained. Like, if he'd 'retired' in 2009 and done a Bill Watts where he was the authority figure who occasionally wrestled (which I think he did for like six months in 2013 or 2014 to great success), he'd have been far less of a millstone around the younger guys.</p></div></blockquote><p> I agree on Mick to a degree, but I think he still had a couple of good promos left in him at this time. 18. <a href="mailto:" rel="">scott@greydogsoftware.com</a>, I believe
  19. But it doesn't simulate a lot of contracts in ROH, or Impact and some in AEW. In reality, these workers are not exclusive to those promotions, but can't go and sign with WWE on day one of a save. If I want Zack Sabre Jr. to work with NJPW and RevPro, I have to leave him open to being able to be signed by WWE on day one. If I want Jon Moxley to be able to work New Japan and AEW, I have to leave him open to being signed by WWE on day one. There's a bunch of wrestlers who in reality have contracts that prevent them from signing with certain other others promotion until said contract expires. The system doesn't similate those real life contracts. I don't have the exact answer on how I think this would be implemented, and good points have been made throughout the thread as to why my initial ideas would themselves have flaws. But the suggestion stands, that a significant portion of contracts in a number of real world promotions can't be simulated in this system.
  20. I feel like I should have started a new thread, as without dismissing the above, my suggestion following the discussion in this thread is: implement a new type of contract which reflects the contracts the likes of which Tyler Black had with ROH in 2010, that Tessa Blanchard has now in Impact and like many people have in many promotions around the world have. This is a deal which allows them to work somewhere other than their "primary employer", but blocks them from negotiating with other promotions who would look to sign them on an exclusive deal until the usual last 28 days. This would more accurately reflect these real world deals. I'm not 100% sure how it would work, but I want to block WWE from being able to sign Jon Moxley (as an example of somebody who they could sign if his contracts were correctly set up in a mod) on day one. Moxley would have deals with New Japan & AEW, so if I played as WWE, I would be able to sign him to an exclusive written at any time. Likewise Pac, Jericho and others would all be signable on day 1. I'd like this not to be possible
  21. I'm now aware of that, hence the suggestion. I'd like to see a change to the contract system so that exclusive deals can't be signed by someone who is bound to a non-exclusive deal. I'd like it to be seen as, by iron-cladding a contract with a company, they have agreed to be "non-exclusive" for the length of the contract. My suggestion is that iron-cladding should mean they're not able to sign exclusive to anybody during this time. I think a change would better simulate the type of contract I believe this feature was set up for. When a worker signs this type of deal in real life, it means they can't sign exclusive deals elsewhere during the course of that contract. AEW/ROH/Impact all use these types of contracts in reality, and I don't think WWE should be able to offer exclusive deals to anybody on these contracts at any point in the save. I saw this in the patch notes, and wondered if it was related. I find it preferable, but hopefully a balance can be found. This is a good explanation, however the point now this thread has been moved to suggestions is that I'd like to see this changed.
  22. <p>I originally posted this as a bug, but with it being moved here I'm wondering what any one else thinks of this?</p><p> </p><p> I feel like someone who has signed an iron-clad non-exclusive written contract should be unable to sign an exclusive contract during that time, as they have agreed by signing an iron clad non exclusive "I won't be exclusive to anyone for the duration of this contract". It doesn't make sense to me as it is, so I'm hoping it can be changed. This thread seemed 50/50 on it though, so I'm not sure it will be.</p>
  23. Starting Over... TNA Evolved! | Episode #4 | Paul Heyman's TNA 2010 | TEW 2020 Episode #4: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-EA0E3xRZdI" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  24. I think the new system is better, but I would like to see a way to organise my roster into pushes, just for my own purposes. It wouldn't effect workers and would only be there so I could create my own hierarchy. Not a massive thing, but it would be a nice accompaniment to the perception system.
