  1. Tweet is 100% transphobic. 'simple biological explanation of male vs. female' is 'you can't change being a man/woman!' rhetoric used to attack trans people. There is no other reason to phrase what she said in that way. That said, Hager may or may realise that's what tweet was saying because a lot of that rhetoric is worded in a way to make it sound like it's protecting women when it's actually attacking trans people, but given the other stuff you can't blame people being wary of him. Smoke and fire.
  2. I mean, do you want your top star, who has creative control, to be POed at you from the get go? Don't underestimate how badly poor morale tanks performances. Valentine and Strong have a best friends relationship, firing Valentine might bring Strong to the point of wanting to walk out immediately.
  3. <p>I have in fact played it.</p><p> </p><p> It's quite mixed as a game, which is probably where the controversy comes from.</p><p> </p><p> Important thing is that even though it has the same feel and plays the same as Until Dawn to not expect Until Dawn (if you have played that, by the same studio). It's much, much shorter and so packs things into a smaller experience. It doesn't have the luxury of an extended opening like Until Dawn (which is a great horror game), and I think some people's expectations were a bit off because they thought it would be Until Dawn.</p><p> </p><p> Positives are the atmosphere being good, it's very pretty, there's a lot going on, the story is a mystery you can work out for yourself (though it does kinda hand the answer to you eventually). I found the characters enjoyable but they're not for everyone for sure; there's some good banter between them but one or two obnoxious remarks apiece. Some sequences are legitimately terrifying and very very intense. There's replay value cause you can go through again controlling different characters and even multiplayer where two people control (though the complete experience is online, pass and play is just swapping the controller).</p><p> </p><p> Negatives, it's quite short, if you don't get along with the characters you'll find them grating very quickly, leans on jumpscares a little too often. The staging can be confusing (I had a scene right at the end where suddenly a character was just halfway across the ship in order to react to something, presumably because otherwise nobody would have known it happened). The final act also hits a climax pretty abruptly, which I suppose ties into the length, but yeah, pacing feels weird at the end.</p><p> </p><p> Overall I had fun with it but I'm unsurprised that it has received such mixed reviews. If it looks like your jam and the above negatives don't put you off, I'd say give it a go.</p>

  5. Cornette's an out of touch bigot who forgets wrestling's had goofiness for as long as its existed. Wrestling is an entertainment business. If people are entertained by silly spots and gimmicks, the wrestlers are succeeding.
  6. I probably wouldn't invoke Beelezebub with Hell's Bouncer for the simple reason Baine's old ring name was BLZ Bubb. Depends on if that immersion factor matters to you but Cverse fans 'in universe' would be all over that.
  7. I'm torn: I have a long term save that I managed to convert from 2010 into 2016 across... several years. I've finally been playing it in 2016 and I still have a ton of gas in the tank creatively. I could convert to 2020. It'd take a while since there's stuff to adjust nd a year or so of gameplay to pick up. Thing is, I don't have access to the original data until I get another computer repaired and there are things that are noticeably missing (most title lineages)... and I don't know if I can put up with that into 2020. Might need to juggle both games.
  8. I like that a lot Cwmaniac The looking off/away thing actually does it for me. It's nice when there's variety in where renders are facing.
  9. tbh I'm just gonna sign her and let future Blake worry about how she's gonna book her
  10. Someone who's objectively got bags of potential and is very over comparative to my roster is about to come loose from SWF And... I have no idea how I'd use them. I am conflicted.
  11. The Canadian Animals - I love Freddy and Edd dearly and so this is perfect. The Tag Team Specialists - old school old school old school The Ring Generals - like Oxford and Bryant, but younger! The Machines - I miss their heyday I have quite a few teams I've made over the years that I enjoy. A lot of them are gen/gen though, so. Ariel Breaks & Maria Guest Ashley Grover & Regular Joe (probably an all timer for me, tbh) El Heroe Mexicano & Haranobu Kobayashi 'International Incident' Ant Man & Josh Jones - pre nerf Josh Jones, that is...
  12. <p>Man, poor Penfold is really suffering with his squad, isn't he?</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Very intrigued to see where the Zeus/Bobby/Diablo story will continue to go.</p><p> </p><p> I almost wonder if we get a switcheroo (without a blind tag) where Diablo sees the light right as Bobby gives into temptation...</p>
  13. Really like Alexis and Antonia there especially Will! smw: the scales on that lady's face are awesome. I want her in my game...someplace. Bison: I like your Brodys there. I have a massive soft spot for Leon and those actually capture the original really well while being your own style.
  14. Having a contextual scale would make everything blend together for me, and it'd also make it way harder to tell what's actually going well and what isn't. Also might lead to situations where you jump from regional to cult and your grades get 'worse' even though they're the same. It's very possible to get high segment/match grades as a small company. Like Vin said, it makes those outstanding moments so much more satisfying when you knock it out the park. I just find it easier to realign my expectations with the company. Once I've booked a couple shows I know what's good and bad relative to what I've got.
  15. Very curious to see how Bobby with three wishes pans out... delighted to see Sayeed finally get his. You go Faith! The eventual Beau turnaround felt--I'm not quite sure. On the one hand it was the fruition of the story, on the other he still cheated and 'you lay down for me instead!' was... I get that it's a longer term thing and it doesn't necessarily change overnight, but I found myself not feeling as much sympathy for Beau as I would have liked? I think I was expecting bigger emotional wounds from the friendship finally being severed. Perhaps it was just what I had in my head as the conclusion; heartbroken betrayed Skip reluctantly biting back, and this wasn't quite that. I dunno. Not intended as criticism of the story itself, because the long term story had the satisfying conclusion its airtime deserved, just something about the landing didn't stick quite right for me. Happy that Torque didn't get exiled. I like Mimic a lot and I like his thing he has here. Laughed out loud.
  16. Those Trickerion and Drones segments genuinely had me laughing out loud, that was brilliant. Gosh he's just awful though. And this show! Even worse! Ugggh. I hope like hell it's finally the straw that breaks the camel's back because the skeeze factor is just way too dang high.
  17. I really think they should stay far, far away from any kind of suggestions that Nyla's dominant because she's trans. It enables the bigots who want to call her a man and gives them ammunition. There's no good way to bring it up when she's a heel, because any heat she generates for it is going to cleave way too close to transphobia. The reaction to her winning has been gross. Fuel to that fire is not needed.
  18. Diablo vs. Zeus... now that's a match I can get behind. Ali continues to be garbage. Hudson deserves better D:

That'd be an interesting scandal. XD</p>
  20. it'd be nice for the actually lgbt person to get an lgbt storyline. I'd be frustrated if I was Sonya too. She's got that rainbow/pride scarf thing on her attire and that's it, in terms of any acknowledgement or part of her character. The Liv stuff felt very cheap soap opera. 'oh, well I too love Lana!'. Gay for the sake of shock value.
  21. Did that match seriously manage to score single figures? Yikes.
  22. y'know seeing those generic shirts on the Express Delivery flunkies made that very vivid in my mind. full on 'generic security' that WWE has sometimes that are random indy guys or dev dudes. Trickerion and Gnaw may be in the frame again sooner rather than later. Zeus continues to be a bro. I did wonder how he'd handle Diablo. Skip's slow burning possible face turn is great. Ali is still scum though. Good segment here, since y'know, he's supposed to be hateable. What a POS.
