Card for FCW: FREEDOM Of The City

FCW's third major show of the year still has an air of mystery surrounding it with a couple of opponents still unknown. Both the Puerto Rican Title match and the next challenge for FCW's youngest prospect have been chosen by Puerto Rican Power. We will also see the tag titles defended in what promises to be a violent 6 man tag and the new champion of the people faces his next opponent in the form of a cowboy lacking in moral fibre.

    FCW Puerto Rican Title

    Handsome Stranger(c) vs ???

FCW Tag Team Titles Gang Warfare

Relentless(c) and ??? vs The Latino Kings

    FCW People's Championship

Island Boy Apollo(c) vs Tex Tegan

    Kanishoki vs Bull Wrecker

Joffy Laine vs Davis Wayne Newton

Marco Gonzalez vs ??? (A former Puerto Rican Champion)

Just realised I didn't post the results of the last set of predictions. Will add them in to the results from this one with the running total for all shows.

  2. Appreciate the comments! I'm starting to see more progress in game which is good, gunning for that TV spot. Although a couple of pretty big players seem to be in quite bad decline which sucks so the need to get some of the midcarders with potential over is growing more urgent. Although don't let that info sway your predictions, I'm a few months ahead in game/writing and I don't plan on any knee jerk reactions to my long term plans.

Card for FCW Fight For FREEDOM

FCW's second show of the year will see a new champion put to the test and the Puerto Rican Title holder face fresh challenge.

It will be a night for three young rookies to prove themselves as the tag titles are defended against two high flying youngsters and a third will step across the ring from a man three times his size.

Elsewhere on the card two singles matches that will likely help determine future title contenders.

    FCW Puerto Rican Title

    Handsome Stranger(c) vs Mutant

    FCW Tag Team Titles

    Relentless(c) vs Young & Wasted

    FCW People's Championship

Island Boy Apollo(c) vs King Kong Kennedy

    Marco Gonzalez vs Kanishoki

    Cobra vs Tex Tegan

    Ox Mastadon vs Giant Brody

  3. MidKnightDreary:  4/6

    QFresh: 3/6

    D-Lyrium: 3/6

    Prime Time: 3/6

Appreciate the responses and comments.  I'll keep track of prediction scores.

So as I get deeper in I think I'll keep most my booking thoughts closer to my chest in case they end up being spoilers but I also enjoy hearing people's thoughts and find it hard not to respond! I don't think anything will have come as a massive shock, most of you had Xavi to retain and I do agree with D-Lyrium's thinking that Apollo doesn't necessarily need the belt. That said this is an important part of Xavi's story. He did also have surprisingly low pop in game and I see this belt as fairly prestigious as 2nd titles go so I think somebody like Apollo with over double his pop is in a better position to have some big matches with it. Although for any Xavi fans don't despair, he's young, one of the best wrestlers in the promotion and... PUERTO RICAN. So he'll have a good spot here for as long as he wants it.

I'm pretty eager to get onto TV in game as I think that suits how I book. So in game I'm running 2 shows a month, each month will have the usual properly written event and then a small one which will still follow the storylines but won't advance stuff as much and so can be kept in this much shorter format. That way I can hopefully build pop and momentum pretty quickly. It's taken some cost cutting measures in game but I'm pretty sure I'll get onto TV before going into debt.. 🤞

The card for FCW Fight For FREEDOM will be up soon but that reminds me, although I want to stay true to FCW (for example I'm very reluctant to make more than 2 or 3 signings in first year) I feel like I have to change the event names. I get it, Freedom. I think that being a theme makes sense and can work but not for EVERY event. They even have the audacity to after 11 months of Freedom based events call the December show One Night of Freedom?!

I think I'll keep the schedule how it is for now, but when TV comes that will be the right time to take a proper look at the whole schedule.

  4. Card for FCW: FREEDOM Fighters

As is FCW tradition the year will begin with the New Years Rumble. A 10 man battle royal filled with wrestlers who have never won the Puerto Rican Title. The winner gets a shot at the belt any time they want (with 30 days notice). Can it be the launch pad of a new star?

We then have two heated singles matches that hope to end ongoing rivalries followed by a third singles fight for the People's Championship.

The co-main will see FCW tag veterans challenge for the belts against 2/5ths of The House of Handsome and the main event for the evening will see the FCW Puerto Rican Champion fight one of the most popular stars in FCW.

All belts on the line, will The House of Handsome hold on to their complete dominance?

    FCW Puerto Rican Title

Handsome Stranger (c) vs Bradford Peverell

    FCW Tag Team Title

Relentless (c) (Rob Reynolds and Ricochet Ramone) vs Latino Kings (Rudy Velasquez and Hector Galindo)

    FCW People's Championship

Xavi Ferrera (c) vs Island Boy Apollo

    Kip Keenan vs Giant Brody

    Ox Mastadon vs Bull Wrecker

New Years Rumble Featuring; Cobra, Carlos Gonzalez, Marco Gonzalez, Kanishoki, Bret Kyle, Taylor Norton, Martyr, Curtis Shaw, USAce and Juggernaut Jones

  5. Season 1 Part 1 (Episodes 1-20)

    Season 1 Part 2 (Episodes 21-40)

    Season 2 Part 1 (Incomplete- Episodes 1-6)

A note on the shows above, I stupidly lost some of my back ups and original downloads of the shows. Whilst I was able to recover pretty much all some I believe are the first drafts of them before I checked them over. So annoyingly there will be some mistakes and I think the odd full scene missing too.

So a little self indulgent to bump a dead thread to officially end it but I've restarted this a couple of times since starting it in 2020 and with me starting a new diary I want to just draw a line under this and thought I'd give a super quick rundown of what my plans were in case anyone is interested. Also most of the links for the shows are now dead so I'm reposting the full links above.

    Season 2 Plans:

Main storyline was The Kingdom and their control over RAW, their control went much deeper than most factions do in wrestling, they literally rewrote the title histories, changed the rules, had their own steps into the ring, in time there would be other things like own referee and the rules would get stricter and stricter. But The Clenched Fist was the uprising slowly growing with Frogue Element the unofficial head. Loxley Robbins would come back from his voyage across the world a new man with a new edge. Now Nicky Gilbert shocked RAW during the RAWWAR (that was in between season 1 and 2) by essentially becoming Swoop's private fortune teller (he gained the ability to see the future tail end of season 1...) but this would turn out to be a real long con, as Nicky saw that in the future Swoop would grow so powerful that he could only be brought down from somebody close to him, so throughout the RAWWAR and S2 he does plenty of evil things and tells Swoop of Clenched Fist things he sees in the future so that Swoop completely trusts him come the end where he turns on him.

Nicky slowly builds up Swoop's paranoia, causing him to kick Maurice Jackson out of The Kingdom.

You might remember Captain Wrestling II is looking for a protegee to pass on the moniker too. He's asking people what it takes to be Cpt Wrestling and nobody is giving him the right answer. Kian Wayne is lost following everything that has happened to The Wayne's at the end of Season 1, he misses his family and so is easily manipulated and desperate for some support (Kal has dropped the Wayne name all together and Kerry is banished). So when Captain Wrestling asked him what it takes he answers 'whatever you tell me' and this finally passes the test, so Kian joins The Kingdom and becomes Captain Wrestling III.

'Motherlover' Will Beaumont has become one of RAW's biggest stars, both one of my favourites in the diary but also in game with his threw the roof star quality starting to overshadow everyone else. He has just met Zara who joined Liberteen (well, took them as her backing singers/dancers) and he becomes desperate to impress her despite her not seeming interested. He finds out she is a part of Clenched Fist and so he tries to join, I was looking forward to the scenes where Will tries to prove to Frogue and everyone else that he's actually a really good guy and wants to save RAW even though we all know it's just to get the girl. However... we learn (readers not Will) that Zara is actually a spy sent by Swoop. Plot thickens when Clenched Fist have the idea of sending Zara to try and join The Kingdom as a spy. Again I was looking forward to the scenes where Zara has to act like a member of the Clenched Fist trying to join The Kingdom even though Swoop knows she actually is part of The Kingdom. The whole 'I know you know this, but you don't know THIS' would go back and forth with Zara becoming not a double agent but a Triple Agent. Throughout this Will is trying to become a full fledged Clenched Fist member and in the end finally starts dating Zara.

The main storyline comes to a head with a classic 5 on 5 match for control of RAW. Will eventually learns that Zara has been playing him, and that she is part of The Kingdom and so he completes his redemption arc by non-ironically fighting for The Clenched Fist albeit it just as much out of revenge than any noble reason. In the match Nicky sacrifices himself by throwing himself in front of a chair shot meant for Frogue (the damage of which was going to get rid of his powers) and this gives Will the chance to superkick Swoop for the win.

All that set up for the long term future of RAW with the new figurehead of a face Will Beaumont (but still called Motherlover, view him as a pretty reluctant/snarky face) Kian Wayne as Captain Wrestling III would be his main nemesis, I think with their backstory and everything that happened between them all set up whilst they are still very young it could be an on/off feud for years.

Swoop would try to redeem himself (and Rod Sullivan would help here which vindicates his plan all along to never turn on Swoop) but the crowd and RAW in general never really forgive him.

Lots of other plans so if there's anything in particular anyone is interested in let me know but I just wanted to get all this down for my own sake really so I can move on!

  6. Wolf

    Gauge

    Youngman/Bach

    Chord

    Diamond

    Hot Taggs

Part of me wanting to pick a swerve or two here but playing it safer for now.

Really enjoyed the intro. Backstory makes plenty of sense but was really glad to see the in game effects as it's often tempting to try have your cake and eat it too but I think the lost 9 mill and lost pop make for a better story going forward. Will be interesting when it comes round to contract negotiation time for the likes of AA and Wolf.

Warning: Leave all expectations for a normal wrestling show behind.

P.S I appreciated the feedback on Last Chance Saloon. This may seem like a 180... but... it isn't exactly, you'll see!

Featuring your favourite c-verse characters as you've never seen them before.

Honest, they will all look pretty different!

Ok now I HAVE done a 180. Although some parts of the Last Chance Saloon idea will end up leaking into this.

Apologies for hyping up the wrong project, but HERE is FCW: It Matters!

  8. So welcome to FCW! It's quite a departure in terms of styles from what I've gotten used to over the last few years with RAW: Attitude! but I've slowly grown to love this promotion. Thanks to @Willsky and @20LEgend as this was initially planned as a multiplayer diary a while back so we bounced plenty of ideas off each other then. I will in time be tweaking the promotions product, mainly to allow more angles but in general I hope to keep the feel of what FCW is in the C-verse. With that in mind I'll have a few little goals/rules for myself in game.

1: FCW is Puerto Rican based and proud. Most game saves, even ones that start as a tiny promotion like us, have the long term goal of world domination, but not FCW. My only goal in terms of popularity/size growth in game is to be as popular on our turf as possible. I love the idea of being a small/medium promotion and yet having more pop in Puerto Rico as the likes of USPW/SWF etc, whether that's possible or not I don't even know, but that's the goal.

2: So because of that my short term goal is to get onto TV Puerto Rico. That will hopefully be our home basically forever. I don't see PRP as the type of guy who wants to be on WrestleWorld.

3: Feature Puerto Rican/Homegrown talent. Self explanatory really, I don't care if there is somebody who is technically better over on the west coast, our fans want to see themselves represented in FCW, I say homegrown because there are people like The Gonzalez family who whilst not Puerto Rican would still have that feel of being FCW through and through.

4: Make Marco Gonzalez a star. Some might call it nepotism, but in my mind Puerto Rican Power wants to see his good friend's son make it big.

P.S I'm not used to posting on these new forums, if anybody has any issues reading any of the shows let me know. I use DocDroid which I've always found decent but by all means I can swap, I'm not sure for example that it works well on everyone's phone.
