Last week of RAW and Smackdown! before WrestleMania X8 and the final showdown between WWF and WCW fight for complete control of the company! I'll give a run-down of my final card for WM18 in the next post...

Man, I’ve decided to start reading this again from the start (thanks, the new pdf’s really make it easy) and I just have to say, the way you book and write up RAW is absolutely perfect for how I see this promotion should be booked. It really is one of the best written dynasties I think I’ve ever read in ten odd years of following this forum. And it makes me want to start a new save as RAW, which in my opinion is the true mark of a great dynasty. I can genuinely see me “binge reading” this whole thing over the next day or two.

Yeah, I do that too. My first segment is almost always a good angle that either sets up the Main Event or deals with whatever the biggest story in the company/brand is at the moment. From there I then generally fill the rest of the card with Match/Angle/Angle/Match/Angle/Angle etc and at the end if I need more angles I slot them in between two angles somewhere else.

Week 3 of March 2002 rolls around as the battle for control of the company intensifies heading into WrestleMania X8!! The premise for Mania will be whichever company holds the most titles (of the nine in total) will gain full control of the WWF, and each match needs to have equal WWF/WCW representation. I have to apologise for the spelling and grammatical errors here, I was on vacation when I booked these shows, drinking a LOT of beers on the deck and had no mouse!

I can’t BELIEVE this is still going! I have so much to catch up on...

Be nice if someone picked this up and ran with it, it’s a really interesting time period to book.

Hi Fleisch, keep up the great work, I’m really looking forward to playing this mod as it’ll be the closest one to the time period I most associate with (mid to late 98 to 2001). For the popularity size thing, I’d be a bit cautious about pumping up the WWF and WCW unnecessarily. IMO they both should be about Large at this point in time, neither truly gets to Titanic during this period, and the WWE probably doesn’t hit that point until mid to late 2000s when they have three brands, the WWE Network and then eventually their own child company with its own show (NXT). I get what people are saying here about high 80s and low 90s, but to me that’s too high. Some of the most over workers (your Hogans and Austins) should be up around that level, but not the companies themselves. Otherwise you’ll end up with a company way too popular in comparison to its workers, and that just shouldn’t be a thing. Just my take on it after playing this game for more than a decade, I’m sure others will disagree.

Hi all, I realise it's been about seven months since I last posted about this, but last week for our one-year wedding anniversary we were on away on a tropical island with no phone or internet and plenty of downtime between swimming, eating and drinking, so I got a genuine opportunity to pick this back up and give it a good play. So, for anyone who can remember this from the start of the year, here is the continuation of my "WCW inVasion" storyline as we progress into Week 2 of 2002 and inch ever closer to WrestleMania X8!

Yeah I know, but I’m never going to remember that, and I liked the fact the game did it for me automatically.

Hey Zero can you update your top 10 there to show which company each works for in brackets? Looks like all ten are in one of your companies!

Ahhh, well that's a terrible change then, means I'm only ever going to book shows in my home region. I guess it makes no real difference in-game, seeing as I still have coverage everywhere.

Just BUMPing this because I'm wondering if there's a setting somewhere I've missed... Zero mentioned Home Area or something?

If you need to turn one but don’t want to cop the penalty for too soon, turn the penalty off in preferences, turn the worker, turn the penalty back on.

I don't think that works for the folder list for some reason. There's a few lists where it doesn't work (I always play with coloured lists off), and that's one of them.

So I've only JUST realised that this game always books your shows in the one location. Previous versions used to automatically move you from area to area. Why the change?

On the worker's page it only says "In rehab (2 months, 3 weeks)" in the box above where it says "Does not currently hold any titles". On the Skills page it DOES say "Meniscus Tear Can Still Perform" under Current Injuries though! Thanks, looks like it ISN'T a bug and he is still injured!

Interesting, my issue is the other way around, his injury is for eight months and now he's in rehab for four months. The injury appears to have disappeared completely, but I guess I won't know for sure until he gets back from rehab.

I think whatever you're comfortable with is fine. If you look back a few pages I did an update on my Invasion game carried over from TEW2016 where I essentially posted each monthly PPV with a summary of what happened that month. That seemed to work pretty well for me, but as I said, whatever suits you and how much effort you'd like to put in.

Does anyone know the answer to this one? Anybody ever had a guy injured and suspended at the same time in 2020?
