  2. <p>I like to click the drop down and then type the name of the worker. It’s not TOO bad, although the system would be eternally faster if when you hit tab you went to the next dropdown below the current one, instead of to the right.</p><p> </p><p> Not sure if that’s possible though and I have suggested it before, but that would amazing.</p>

I've had plenty of "jobbers" rise up my cards (As soon as they get to recognisable, I see momentum change).</div></blockquote><p> Ok, maybe that’s what’s going on, I just need to ignore momentum on my unimportant guys until they get to recognisable?</p>
  4. Al Snow is an unimportant heel, he only just became Al Snow. No Oddities yet, I don’t think I have a single one of them on my roster. Not sure I ever will either. What I really need to do is build a few of my tag teams (the Hardys, Godwinns or Headbangers) above Unimportant so they can actually have matches against each other without a penalty.

Seems like you have enough talent to me, its just using it effectively I guess! Austin and HBK need to stop being a team for sure. I notice that Mankind doesn't figure into your IYH 15 card, what's he doing, selling injuries? If you could have Mankind return after IYH 15 you haven't lost too much there, its just about whether Shamrock/Mero and Faarooq/Goldust are delivering with their storylines as they seem the most likely not to? How over is Rocky and HHH currently?<p> </p><p> Love reading your posts though man, keep em coming.</p></div></blockquote><p> Mankind will fight at IYH, I just haven’t figured out what his storyline or who his opponent will be yet. If I don’t send Sid on vacation, he’ll probably fight Sid at IYH. </p><p> </p><p> Austin & HBK will stop being a team soon enough, and when they do, HBK will probably turn heel (I’ve already made Austin my Figurehead, so a heel HBK won’t be an issue).</p><p> </p><p> HHH is pretty over (about 80) and Rocky is gaining Overness, but he’s still in the funk of the “poor form” note that he currently has, so all his matches bomb somewhat. He certainly won’t be beating Haitch for the IC belt while he has that note. Not quite sure who HHH will drop the belt to yet, but he’ll definitely team up with Shawn and form DX once HBK turns heel (probably after turning on Austin)</p>
  6. I don’t know, I keep flipping on this one. I want to give him three months off after being Buried Alive, and then possibly bring him back as part of Paul Bearer’s stable with Vader (and eventually Kane), but I take a large chunk of my top star power off the card if I do so. I need 5 good 70+ storylines every week and I occasionally struggle to hit that, which is why I currently have Austin/Owen and HBK/Bret in separate storylines when they really should be in the same one right now. Removing Sid is one more guaranteed 70+ storyline removed. So far, In Your House 15: Cold Day in Hell is shaping up thusly: WWF Title: Undertaker vs Vader Tag Titles: Austin & HBK vs Bret & Neidhart vs Owen & Bulldog Intercontinental: HHH vs Rocky Maivia (some kind of gimmick match, possibly Last Man Standing) European: Shamrock vs Mero Faarooq vs Goldust (WWF Title No 1 Contender) Not quite sure where to go with the tag titles longterm either. I have a really crappy tag division (every other team is unimportant except Barry Windham of the New Blackjacks) and Vince won’t let me hire any experienced teams like LOD due to them being employed by a Medium or larger company. Don’t want to keep the titles on Austin & HBK probably past KOTR, but it’s gonna take some work to get it off them and move them down the card.
  7. Following on from In Your House 14: Dead Man Walking, April 1997... WWF Championship: The Undertaker (retained against Sycho Sid in a Buried Alive match) WWF Intercontinental Title: Hunter Hearst Helmsley (retained against Rocky Maivia) WWF World Tag Team: Steve Austin & Shawn Michaels (retained against Bret & Owen Hart) WWF European Title: Ken Shamrock (defeated British Bulldog) Royal Rumble 1997: The Undertaker
  8. And now we move on... to In Your House 14: Dead Man Walking, as the Undertaker defends his WWF Championship against Sycho Sid in a Buried Alive Match!!
  9. The go-home show to In Your House 14: Dead Man Walking... always a bit of a strange one when an undercard match outdoes your Main Event, kudos to Mankind and Sid.
  10. That's not the "lack of anything interesting happening" penalty then. That's something else entirely.
  11. Thanks for this, I think it helps a bit. But no, this 7/11 record is his entire record in-game. But he started off with almost zero popularity, so I assume his performances were at that level too. I also gave him a Poor new gimmick and I don’t think that’s helping either. I think it’s starting to make sense to me, he just needs to build pop and build performances and his momentum should hopefully begin to turn. I’ve probably tried to push him too quickly.
  12. Ahhhh, I gave Jeff a new gimmick and it’s poor... could that be the problem?
  13. Thanks man, I put a lot of effort into my shows (TV and B shows included), which is why I often burn out quickly and can’t progress too far into any of my saves. Wow, praise from Caesar himself haha
  14. Just picked up my '97 save again after a several month hiatus and booked WrestleMania 13. Pretty happy with how this one turned out...
  15. Backlund has a popularity of 66, Faarooq is 68, Iron Sheik is 70, Jeff Hardy is in the low-20s... no way he should still have Chilly momentum defeating those guys.
  16. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="James The Animator" data-cite="James The Animator" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="52606" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>This year, I think GDS changed the momentum system to take into account not just who wins or loses, but the quality of the performances in each segment. If you're trying to elevate an Unimportant wrestler by having him wrestle other Unimportant wrestlers, you're conditioning your fans to regard that guy as Unimportant forever. They'll warm up to your Unimportant wrestler if you put him in segments with a Well Known wrestler, regardless of who wins in the storyline. I mean, in real life, Brock Lesnar made a bigger splash beating both of the Hardy Boyz at once in his first pay-per-view match than Lars Sullivan did squashing R-Truth and the Lucha House Party, right? It's a detail that adds realism to the game, but I can see how it could confuse people.</div></blockquote><p> Ok, but Jeff Hardy's been involved in a programme with Bob Backland and the Iron Sheik, who both have much higher popularity than him, and he's been beating them.</p><p> </p><p> He also scored a victory over Faarooq recently, like I said, I just don't understand how this is working.</p><p> </p><p> He shouldn't be Chilly with this kind of record.</p>
  17. <p>Just finished WrestleMania 13 in my 1997 save...</p><p> </p><p> <strong>WWF Championship:</strong> The Undertaker (defeated HBK © and Sycho Sid at Mania)</p><p> <strong>WWF Intercontinental Title:</strong> Hunter Hearst Helmsley (retained at Mania against Goldust in a Last Man Standing Match)</p><p> <strong>WWF World Tag Team:</strong> Owen & Bulldog (retained against New Blackjacks, Headbangers and Godwinns in an Elimination Tag match at Mania)</p><p> <strong>WWF European Title:</strong> British Bulldog (retained against Ken Shamrock at Mania, had to pull double duty)</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Royal Rumble 1997:</strong> The Undertaker</p>
  18. So I've played this game quite a bit now, but I still just can't quite get my head around the new momentum system. In the old system it was pretty black and white... give guys wins or angles with successes and they gain momentum, vice versa and they lose it. I genuinely don't understand what influences momentum in this version of the game. As an example, I have Jeff Hardy as an unimportant member of my roster in my '97 save, and he has Chilly momentum, but he's won 7 of his 11 matches and has "Fairly Good" storyline success in his current storyline, meaning he's generally come out on top in angles. Is there anyone out there who can explain to me a bit better how the new system works and how I can improve momentum on my lower card guys? It seems it's something beyond just Wins/Losses and angle Success/Defeats at play here.
  19. Mate, you really need to constantly update this game to the newest patch. So much rebalancing has been done since the version you are playing with. Otherwise, I’ve watched the first couple of episodes, not a bad start!
  20. Some really good and useful stuff here, guys. Thanks heaps Using Pre Booking to book the next show while I’m currently booking is a really good idea I need to get on board with. As it stands right now I only usually use Pre Booking to book my PPVs, but I can see some really strong uses here.
  21. I realise this sounds like a pretty daft question from someone who has played this game over multiple iterations of the franchise, but I just always really struggle with the week-to-week grind of booking TV shows, particularly if you have to book two or more a week (like in a WWE type company). I’ve always tried to use Autobooker to do the “heavy lifting” for TV and I just fill in the card around that, but Autobooker... just sucks. It keeps throwing the same matches at me week after week, show after show and the shows I end up with are quite messy and end up looking pretty awful and my storylines end up just not flowing as well as if I took the actual time to book the show myself. So saying all that... how do YOU guys book week to week TV? How do you choose who faces off in each match, who is in your Main Event, which angles and segments occur where on the card? Do you figure out your Main Event first and book the card around it, or do you sequentially book the card from start to finish, not really knowing where the show will take you until it does? Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated. I really love the save I’m playing (WWF 2002 transitioning into the brand split), but what’s holding me back bigtime is the weekly booking of Raw and Smackdown. I don’t even have any B Shows because of this reason!

  23. NICKMAN'S INVASION - WEEK 1, FEBRUARY 2002 Ok, so after another strong loss of motivation, I've FINALLY gotten around to picking this one back up and booking the Royal Rumble. Next stop, the Road to Wrestlemania where a final showdown between WWF and WCW is set to take place! Who will finally win the war??
