  5. ROAD TO REBELLION Week 2 April 2024 SHAWties and 1 to 1 Million shared the spoils in their series before Rebellion with Gisele Shaw and Yamashita winning their matches. The final two participants in the Ultimate X would be TNA's newest Knockout, Nixon Newell and Masha Slamovich. The six participants would then have a wild brawl which opened the TNA IMPACT! on AXS TV go-home episode which was won by Mickie James as she hit the Mickie-DT on King. Alan Angels' open challenge finally ran its course as his latest opponent Jake Something mauled him to become the new Digital Media champion. Jonathan Gresham and Chris Sabin tagged and won against Kenny King and Sheldon Jean before having a strict face-off while Kamille and Trinity had a sit-down contract signing which turned violent when Kamille hit a spear on Trinity which broke the table in half. Major Players also got an upper hand when they defeated Lil Rascals with Cardona hitting the Heat Stroke on Miguel. The main event saw a massive 8-man tag as James Storm and Nick Nemeth tagged along with Motor City Machine Guns to face off against Aces and Eights and it was Nick who had the last laugh when he hit the Danger Zone on Bully Ray to win. 9. ROAD TO REBELLION Week 1 April 2024 SHAWties would continue their path toward the tag team title shot with another impressive victory over Dani Luna and Jody Threat. They continue berating the champs when Itoh and Yamashita attack them before taking out Jai Vidal. Gail Kim, the GM announced a pair of singles matches between SHAWties and Team 1 to 1 Million. Two more Knockouts punched their ticket for the Ultimate X as Kilynn King got the better of Allysin Kay while Mickie James defeated Taylor Wilde with not one but two Mick-DTs. Alan Angel's open challenge continued as he put down Laredo Kid in another good match. After last week's challenge by Jiro Kuroshio, he opened the TNA! Impact episode battling with Jonathan Gresham for the X Division title and again after a hard-fought bout, Gresham locked in his Octopus Stretch to tap Kuroshio out, his second in a row. Sabin came out and challenged Gresham at Rebellion, cashing in his contractual rematch. Mickie James and Kilynn King faced off in a bragging rights between Ultimate X participants which James won, gaining momentum. Moose defeated Myron Reed in a first-time match which kicked off a new feud for the Rascals as Major Empire and Rascals collided after the match after Moose spit on Reed for trying to be competitive and then after beating him slapped repetitively, adding insult to injury. GYV celebrated their contendership win last week with another dominating win over The Design. ABC tried to sneak attack them post-match but Bey suffered a Grit Your Teeth. The main event saw the much-awaited STRONG Openweight Title match and in an intense bout full of action, Pillars managed to put down Killer Elite Squad, avenging their previous loss. Wrestling's Most Wanted scuffled against Killer Elite Squad post-match sending their rivalry in overdrive with Nemeth having the last laugh as he hit the Danger Zone on Lance Archer. 10. ROAD TO REBELLION Week 4 March 2024 Fire-N-Flava's loss at Sacrifice demoralized them as they suffered another back-to-back loss with SHAWties handing them a loss. This propelled them towards the KO tag title shot. Gail Kim, the GM of the Knockouts Division, had two major announcements, Kamille was fit and finally, the match between Trinity and Kamille for the KO World Title would happen. The second announcement was the return of the Knockouts Ultimate X, the second edition. Cult of Doom took their first step towards main event prominence when Thunder Rosa defeated Jody Threat in the 1st Ultimate X qualifier but the leader Su Yung lost her match to the Juggernaut Jordynne Grace which cast a dark cloud over the unit's momentum. Alan Angels came up trumps against John Skyler as well after he had defeated Jason Hotch last month for the 9th defense of the Digital Media title. After the match, he indicated that he just hit the 120th day as the champion making this the second-longest reign. He announced an open challenge for his Digital Media title every week on BTI, fully intending to surpass Joe Hendry and become the longest-reigning Digital Media champion. TNA! Impact opened with Jonathan Gresham defending his X-Division title against Mike Bailey who impressed during the Xscape match at Sacrifice and after a fantastic match that saw both trading near falls reliving their legendary feud of last year. Gresham finally managed to win over his long-term rival when he submitted Bailey with the Octopus Stretch. Post-match, former WWE talent, Jiro Kuroshio (f.k.a Ikemen Jiro) popped up challenging Gresham to a title match. Gresham laughed him off but got a Scorpion Kick for his disrespect. Grizzled Young Veterans finally got their shot at the tag titles when they won the #1 Contender's match after defeating Max Assault and Subculture. Deonna Purrazzo gloated in her glory after becoming the new STRONG Women's champ and mentioned that the Age of Virtuosa has beckoned again and she will make sure that it never goes away. She then challenged anyone from other promotions or any free agent to come and try to take her title. Nixon Newell (f.k.a Tegan Nox in WWE) made her first appearance post her release and challenged Purrazzo. Though she lost, she made a great impression on the crowd and Gail Kim gave her an official contract making her the newest addition to the already stacked Knockouts Division. Chris Sabin started his life sans the X-Division belt poorly as he lost to Alexander which rendered MCMG's probable challenge for the STRONG tag titles null but Archer made his case for the shot as he brutally attacked Alexander and challenged them for the tag titles next week. Tom Lawlor made it a perfect night for Aces and Eights as he defeated Eric Young in the main event and then proceeded to rip Shelley verbally saying that he would make sure Shelley would spend his entire life moving around Detroit in a scrapyard car after he takes his title. 11. In a bit of roster news, we can confirm that TNA has let go of Heath, Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, and Dirty Dango. Heath's long time tag partner, Rhino will make a permanent move to becoming match producer after his failing health which prohibits him from wrestling in the ring. That's why they were written off in storyline when they were burnt alive by Cult of Doom. Courtney Rush is also taking some much needed time off to address her niggling injuries and we may see her back few months down the line in her loved avatar Rosemary if the Cult of Doom storyline catches fire as the management expects it to. Eddie Edwards had been with TNA for a decade and having accomplished everything, he wanted to move on to explore his options. It's believed the parting was mutual and there was no animosity with an option to return down the line very much open. Eddie Edwards had openly expressed that he wanted to retire in TNA so it will be interesting if and when he returns to the company he just gave 10 years to TNA is also working on bringing a big name to their promotion, one of their last signings for a while on the men's side. While they have brought some highly recognizable names, this one changes the game. It's being rumored that the deal is almost done and the new person may debut as early as the Rebellion PLE. A true gamechanger in today's landscape, just like CM Punk's return to WWE or Edge and Ospreay's signing to AEW, this may well put TNA right in the leagues with the Big Two. In a news that shocked many people, it was Logan Paul who managed to dethrone Roman Reigns and end his 1245-day-long Universal title reign to become the new Undisputed Universal Champion at Elimination Chamber 2024. Cody Rhodes became the first person since Steve Austin to win back-to-back Royal Rumble while Charlotte Flair won her 2nd Royal Rumble this year. Seth Rollins series with Cody where he is 2-0 up means Cody will challenge for the World Heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 40. Nikki Cross, Beth Phoenix and Kane left WWE this year while Ilja Dragunov was called up to the main roster from NXT after being the NXT Champion for 7 months. Maxxine Dupri ended Rhea Rhipley's year-long reign with WWE Women's World Title when she defeated her and Nia Jax to become the new champion at Royal Rumble while Becky Lynch won her third Women's Title belt after defeating Iyo Sky at Elimination Chamber. The Pillars, Josh Alexander and Steve Maclin, notched up their fourth defense and their 1st outside TNA when they defeated Ortiz & Santana for their STRONG Openweight Tag Titles at AEW Revolution PPV. 19 year old Billie Starkz became the new AEW Women's World champion when she defeated Saraya at AEW Revolution PPV while Toni Storm continues to hold the TBS Title. The move is being hailed as a typical Tony Khan coke-fuelled decision. Everybody is flabbergasted because they have far better women on their roster to be called the champion. MJF continue to hold the World title having overcome Bryan Danielson at Revolution while the Jurassic Express, Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus became 2 time champions when they cut short almost a year long reign of FTR for the AEW World Tag Team titles at Revolution. NJPW had a bit of roster turnover as SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Titan all left NJPW. Okada and Tanahashi continue to hold the World Heavyweight and US Heavyweight title respectively and most recently defended successfully at New Japan Cup Final. The New Japan Cup was won by Tetsuya Naito which was his second win.

  14. Ya mate, can't help the fate but yes we are coping up with it slowly.
  15. Thanks man. Shit happens but we need to move on. Cult of Doom is exactly what I wanted to in Decay IRL. Though the women are much stronger than men now, I hope it changes with time. While I have plans for Team Canada sadly none of the names you mentioned feature in those although a few of them might crop up in the near future in this Diary.
  16. Sorry for the delay in posting as I lost a very close family member (my father-in-law) last week. 18. TNA Sacrifice 2024 - March 23rd, 2024 Attendance: 2400 (Sold Out) at Alario Center (Louisiana, USA) Commentary Team: Matt Rehwoldt & Tom Hannifan COUNTDOWN TO SACRIFICE Cult of Doom (Crazzy Steve/PCO) vs Heath & Rhino The Cult continued their merciless run through TNA's roster as long-time veterans, Heath & Rhino were subjected to brutal punishment from Steve & PCO. Even a Gore from Rhino couldn't deter them as PCO sent Rhino crashing through a table with the PCO-sault. WINNER: Cult of Doom Grade: 47 After the match, the lights started flickering and when they came back, we saw neither Heath nor Rhino present in the ring. The titantron blared to life with a video of Heath & Rhino being carried out and then depositing them in the coffin. It was doused with gasoline before it was put on fire. Heath & Rhino were getting burned alive!!!! MAIN SHOW TNA Knockouts Tag Title: Team 1 to 1 Million (c) vs Fire-N-Flava Kiera returned to TNA this month to reform Fire-N-Flava and they started hot, defeating Hex and Death Dollz which earned them a shot at this but the champs showed why they are a class apart. Absorbing all the early offense, they systematically dismantled their opponents and Itoh brought them the win when Kiera tapped out with an Itoh Deluxe. WINNER: Team 1 to 1 Million (defense #3) Grade: 55 TNA World Tag Team Titles Cage match: ABC (c) vs Max Assault ABC start off with some slick teamwork. Laredo Kid showed off some moves and then hit Michinoku Driver on Bey off the top for two. Double dropkick by ABC gave them momentum back but Black Taurus almost won for his team when he hit the pop-up Samoan Drop and a Taurus Driver on Bey but Ace swooped in and saved the day. At the end, Laredo Kid got hit with a swinging neckbreaker and then the Too Sweet!!1....2 to get the win. WINNER: ABC (defense #7) Grade: 60 STRONG Women's Title: Skye Blue (c) vs Deonna Purrazzo Skye Blue was looking for a thrust kick, but Deonna put the brakes on. She snuck in a dropkick though. Deonna grabbed Skye in a Fujiwara armbar, but she grabbed the ropes. Deonna cracked her with a baseball dropkick. Blue shocked Deonna with a Japanese-style arm drag. Skye continued to work over Purrazzo’s arm but she rocked Blue with a big pump kick! Deonna grabbed her arms and pulled back, forcing Skye Blue to tap out to the Venus de Milo! We have a new champion!!! WINNER: Deonna Purrazzo (new champion) Grade: 52 Cult of Doom vs Jordynne Grace/Mickie James/Courtney Rush Just like their male counterpart, the female members of the Cult of Doom kept their flag waving high as they kept the fearsome trio of Grace, James and Rush at bay. While James and Grace tried their best and clashed with the Twisted Sisters, it was the opportunist Su Yung who pounced on Rush with the Yellow Fever and got the pin. WINNER: Cult of Doom Grade: 58 Just like their male counterparts in the Countdown show, the lights started flickering and when they came back, Rush was nowhere to be found before titantron came back to life as we saw the minions from before carrying Rush's body and threw it in the river. Rush's body was flowing lifelessly in the cruel waters!!! In one single night, they had decimated Heath, Rhino & Courtney Rush!!! TNA X-Division Title Xscape Match: Chris Sabin (c) vs Lio Rush vs Frankie Kazarian vs Mike Bailey vs Joe Hendry vs Jonathan Gresham Xscape match was returning after 16 years and we had a great assortment of talent participating in the match. Lio Rush started the highlight reel by pulling off some insane rope stunts but got eliminated first when Joe Hendry hit the Freak of Nature. Eliminated: Lio Rush Jonathan Gresham and Frankie Kazarian had a great exchange of strikes and chops in the middle but Gresham won that exchange when he managed to lock in the Octopus Stretch and Frankie had to tap out. Eliminated: Frankie Kazarian Gresham got yet another submission when he overturned the Freak of Nature attempt and locked in the Octopus Stretch Eliminated: Joe Hendry Chris Sabin catches Mike Bailey’s leg and tries to sweep the other leg but Bailey jumps. Sabin hits an elbow on Bailey who gets out of the ring and Sabin kicks him from the apron. Bailey gets in the ring and looks to kick Sabin but Sabin hangs him from the ropes and hits a basement dropkick then Sabin hits a snap mare and gets Bailey in a double arm trap submission. Bailey fights out of it and they exchange chops. Bailey hits Sabin with a running boot. Bailey hits a running Shooting Star Press for a two-count. Bailey looks to hit a kick but Sabin catches him. Bailey looks to go for the springboard kick but Sabin catches him with a dropkick. Sabin hits Bailey with the Cradle Shock to eliminate him. Eliminated: Mike Bailey Gresham and Sabin were the final two. They relived their Hard to Kill 2021 match with yet another hard-hitting affair. Chris Sabin managed to hit the Cradle Shock and then proceeded to escape the cage by climbing up but halfway up, Gresham pulled him down and then hit a nasty backstabber before transitioning into a series of German suplexes. He locked in the Octopus Stretch and Sabin completely passed out after almost 6 minutes into the submission. Gresham slowly moved to the cage entrance. Sabin got one last desperate lunge at his feet but Gresham kicked him before falling out of the door. Gresham escapes!! Gresham has won the X-Division title for the first time in his career!! WINNER: Jonathan Gresham (new champion!!!) Grade: 60 STRONG Openweight Tag Team Title: The Pillars (c) vs Bullet Club War Dogs (Alex Coughlin/Gabe Kidd) Just like in their last match with the other half of War Dogs, both teams started brawling at the ringside area. Josh got the advantage with the suicide crossbody on the seated Coughlin while Maclin went for his Caught in Crosshairs but Kidd got up to send Maclin crashing in the turnbuckles while he hit a poison rana to get a two count. Kidd hit the Sick Kick on Alexander but Maclin saved the day and then hit the KIA for the win. WINNER: The Pillars (defense #3) Grade: 59 Myron Reed vs KENTA After months of feuding, finally Reed and KENTA came face to face. While KENTA dominated in the early exchanges, Myron Reed made a huge comeback with a Fosbury Flop that sent KENTA into the crowd. A big Cap'n Crunch almost earned him a win but KENTA kicked out at 2.9. KENTA resorted to his chopping game with a series of hard chops that turned Reed's chest red. A rope hung DDT earned him a two count and he started slapping Reed which infuriated him and he got out of the GTS attempt to hit a missile dropkick before the No Cap Splash and a Sky Walker for the win. WINNER: Myron Reed Grade: 54 Aces & Eights w/Bully Ray vs Alex Shelley & Wrestling's Most Wanted w/Bobby Roode Another wild brawl in the main event as we got a bar room scuffle in the middle. While Roode was in wheelchair, he still managed to chase Bully Ray outside with a kendo stick which he threw and it hit Bully square in the face knocking him out temprarily. The action in the ring was all about the exchanges between Killer Elite Squad and Wrestling's Most Wanted as Storm and Nemeth got the upper hand with tandem Super Kicks on both Archer and Smith and then in the final stages KES overturned it with a huge powerbomb on the ramp on those two. Lawlor caused the huge upset when he got out of a Border City Stretch and overturned the Shellshock attempt to hit the Neutralizer and then lock in the Guillotine Choke and after persisting for as much as he can, Shelley finally tapped out. Lawlor has now become the #1 contender!! WINNER: Aces & Eights Grade: 50 SHOW RATING
