  1. Do you think a Dean Waldorf vs. Marv Statler feud in a big American promotion would go over well? I hate to break up hardcoded C-Verse tag teams but Dean Waldorf has a superstar look about him and there's only so many variations of booking a tag team I can try each save!
  2. It sounds like it's just going to be cleaned up a bit. I've got my fingers crossed for different fonts and font sizes. The background color never effected me personally but I do have to take breaks after every show from squinting to read what grade my segment got. The menu and biography font is fine but the words inside the grid buttons are very hard to register. Not sure if that's a grid layout problem or the text itself. This is my biggest hope from the news we got, although I'm not quite sure what it means. Does he mean the office button-pad or does he mean the boxes within each page that holds information that is also horribly spaced out as many have mentioned? Does the "grid" refer to this? Or this?
  3. Honestly, take your time! It is very easy to become indecisive later in game and want to hot potato the belts around - it was then that I realized that my biggest draws ended up being projects that I had been building up slowly that'll come in and take the top spot in one clean swoop and then take me up to the next company size. There's no definitive answer other than keep being creative, take note of what works and what doesn't and the game will reward you for not making stupid decisions over time. That being said, this is a sandbox and you're free to make stupid decisions but multiple projects on your under card while trying keeping your main eventers competitive with each other will leave you with a younger selection of guys that you've learnt how to book through trial and error that aren't charging you an arm and a leg per show! Those are the guys that will get you where you want to be - try using your established workers to get newer talented signings over! Big stars = crowds and ratings so you're going to want to try and build as many as you can and not rely on what cards you're dealt from your first show. Wrestling companies are ever-changing and throwing ideas at the wall to see if they'll stick, keep experimenting~ if you're truly desperate to squeeze all the popularity you can out of the two months the demo gives you, you could always run a bunch of lesser-important events in between your weeklies/monthlies. If I have a TV show on Monday and a pay-per-view on Saturday, sometimes I'll set up a "special" lesser event on the Wednesday to give all my workers a small momentum bump before the big blow-off. A small decision like that could end up benefiting in +5 match ratings and a boost to attendance while everyone on the card is peaking in pop. Using a red hot roster will always result in bigger pop gains from events.
  4. Always reminded me of early 90s Steiners. I can't not hire them - their renders are awesome and they're great workers. Never split them up before but 2020 could be the year...
  5. Obviously (or not? I wouldn't know!) you can add customized stage, music performances and whatnot in the Edit Event screen for non-TV show events but I'm afraid to my knowledge you must just embrace the grind for the early portion of your save. Put on the best shows you can and keep checking your requirements to grow to the next size. If you're smashing show after show in the same area, you might need to start focusing on gains in other cities/states. Eventually you'll be able to secure a TV show and a pay-per-view deal which will significantly boost your popularity gains. As your workers have better matches with each other, they will individually rise in popularity and in turn rise your companies popularity as a whole when they become bigger draws.
  6. I'm not sure about you guys but my TEW 2020 load times are half the length of my 2016 load times! I'm running a Ryzen 5 3600x and spending about two-three seconds trying to read as much of a workers' loading screen bio before it'll jump to the next! Worker attributes are a huge plus for me, if a biography doesn't do a character justice usually his attributes will give me a clear picture of how to mold him to my liking while still staying true to the lore. Additionally I'm loving the fluid roster pushes as it really gives me a sense that the game is alive and breathing from day to day. It seems to me that match and segment ratings are determined by a much more complex system with more dice in the cup being rolled. I'm having accidental breakout stars from pairing two guys together and the opposite wrestler moves up a perception level?! It's super hard to deny and I expect it'll lead to many saves going in unpredictable directions. It also seems that the same two matches can get vastly different results based on what my product is, where on the card the match is placed, how far into his career each worker is and so on. I could play six months of 2016, have the same main event for every pay-per-view and roll wildly similar numbers each time. I understood how that system worked to a fault I think? I've always considered the sims that best hide the fact they're sims the best. It becomes very apparent that you're playing an interactive themed version of Microsoft Excel spliced with graphics when the game world feels more lively. These games will always be an interactive themed version of Microsoft Excel spliced with graphics, but it's never felt this alive! Not in my opinion, anyway.
  7. I edited my post acknowledging, don't know if you saw yeah man that is a problem indeed!
  8. Are TV shows not listed under your events? Mine are! EDIT: I see what you're saying now. The pop ups are different.

  10. That Youngman is sweet! Just what I'm looking for at the moment, trying to give him a Jesus-y look as he has lost his nut and formed a cult entitled "Unionize Pro Wrestling!" in my game. He's currently recruiting jobbers down on their luck and bending them to his will lol

WMMA5 has more small icons that give relevant information, and it makes use of hover boxes over text or icons that TEW lacks for whatever reason. For example, you could hover over the icon that shows an increase in popularity and it tells you how much popularity they gained.<p> </p><p> <strong>You can also... like... fire people from the contract screen?</strong></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Next gen! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  12. Every save you play, make sure to choose a setting to re-enable! This game gets better with challenge, it may just take you a handful of games to get a grasp of the core mechanics. Play with EWR mode on and don't be afraid to cheat to learn from your mistakes! And what Tom said about starting with a smaller company.

That's true with about everything though. I've seen similar happen before, so there is that.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Yeah, same boat here friend. I'm not expecting magic but an extra coat of paint would be nice.</p>
  14. I'd call WMMA more of a simulator over a sandbox though, the fighting mechanics take away the need for true creative booking. Taking creativity features and tools away from that game wouldn't damage it as much, I don't think. I agree with what you're saying though and believe this game will push through. Just food for thought.
  15. Yeah, I got that thanks for replying but I swear 2016 just had the stables button one click away rather than two. Whenever I am setting up a multiman tag match and I need to check my stables to make sure the numbers are even, I have to guess 5vs5 for example, only to click the select workers option to be reminded one of my stablemen is injured or whatever. If we're trying to break away from extra clicks, I don't see why you wouldn't have a stable button on both pages. Probably the tiniest nitpick lol
  16. Not trying to discredit your opinion in any way, but a week of hard play is what compared to days of hard play on the old layout? Every two month game I play, it seems to become more and more natural for me. Hoping the eventual same for you guys too.
  17. I was about to say "wooooah, GIMP is still around?" but you're telling me there's a GIMP TWO?
  18. Aaron Ace Andrews, the only A+ match machine running on AAA batteries!
  19. I've asked before but generally before I go to bed so I may of missed an answer but I'm just making sure I'm not missing something here. Is there any way (even if it takes multiple clicks) to access stables/teams whilst in the Add Match/Add Segment screens? Specifically for stables as remembering the names to each stable member in a segment without using an external notepad is kicking my ass!
  20. CV aside, I'm sure we're all responsible for renaming AJ Styles to Allen Jones in a WWE save prior to his signing. So glad they just let their workers sign with their independent names now, it was getting ridiculous.
  21. Oh, don't get me wrong I love mods too! I just don't make mods and haven't touched mods on 2020 yet. Those kinda things come a few months later for me which is why I understand that I won't see eye to eye with most of y'alls complaints yet. My earliest memory with Adam Ryland was EWR 4.2 which had the 2004 real life data as the default so I even understand that the C-Verse wasn't even the initial selling point for these games. I just believe (and have accepted) that the C-Verse is the future of the vision of these games and mods will come second from now on. It's very much become it's own product and the only way to fix this and make everybody happy this year would be to release a C-Verseless modable game with customization products at a heavy discount (half price or even free) while charging the C-Verse fans for the new work put into the game. I don't see that ever happening, so I'm going to stick with what I like about this installment and not even touch mods until the hypothetical go-ahead. Being ignorant can in fact, sometimes be bliss it seems!
  22. At least Triple A makes sense! Like a AAA developer, top of the line! Triple H almost sounds like a triple dose of Heroin, but we all know that's what watching a main event Hunter match feels like anyway!
