The ratings in this iteration for TEW are all combined, as opposed to seeing the number per broadcaster. And not only is the WWF at Cult status, but Jim Crockett Promotions is at Regional. I would imagine there will be a bit of a disparity based on that, but I could be wrong. <p> </p><p> The only things I could think of as far as Terry Funk is concerned are his personality being mercenary and his overness vs. Crockett's Regional status. If I lower Funk's overness, I risk throwing the auto-pushes out of whack. If I bump Crockett's pop up too much, I risk having it be Cult status and making it easier for players to lose popularity. I may give consideration to extending his contract to having three to six months left, though.</p><p> </p><p> Agreed on Dusty Rhodes. I have set a decline age and retirement age for the next update. As for Ole, he was pretty much in decline by about this time and eventually would be kicked out of the Horsemen in early 1987, IIRC. After being kicked out of the Horsemen, he would eventually retire the same year. I may set a decline age and retirement age for him as well, though.</p><p> </p><p> Lastly, as you probably saw, I left the figurehead blank because while one would say Ric Flair, his biggest money days was as a heel. Seeing as that the figurehead is meant to be a babyface, and since workers won't want to to turn heel once they're a figurehead, I decided to leave it blank. I guess you could make a case for Dusty Rhodes, but he would retire in a few years anyway. Plus it gives you time to groom someone like maybe Magnum TA to be a figurehead.</p><p> </p><p> Hope that addressed your concerns. Anything else, be sure to hit this thread up. I always gladly welcome any feedback because I want people to get the most enjoyment that they can out of TEW. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> The Funk thing was just odd because as I said, he's signed deals with 2 other regional feds in the week I've played through so it isn't size that is the issue so it must be his personality. And I thought Dusty was still wrestling into the early 90's though on a semi-active basis? His god-awful run in WWF was 100% Vince's fault as he hated every NWA star other than Flair and booked them horribly. Again, I don't care about douchebag Ole though that starting Written contract being 2 years is a mild annoyance, especially since they can sue for terminating their contract now.</p><p> </p><p> The Figurehead thing could be debated forever. Flair was the clear figurehead of JCP and early WCW whether he was a face or heel. Honestly, the game should allow a Flair exception to allowing a heel figurehead, but short that, your only other choice at the start of the game is Dusty, who I would have picked had he not been on time decline. I'd love for it to be Ricky, but with it based so much on charisma and star quality, he's way behind Flair and Dusty (and Terry's SQ). If you can hold off for 6 months, you can easily plug Magnum in there (I won't bother debating why he's got a +5 in SQ over Savage as those should be left up to the mod maker), though his psych is really low (73 in an equal fed) to for my taste. So, if you don't want to go with Dusty and keep with the turning Flair heel again, honestly, your best bet is to sign Savage and build him up.</p><p> </p><p> And my previous post had originally included a complaint about how the drop in pop gained per show kept you from reaching Cult in the first month. Then, I wrote the numbers out, and figured out that if you split the 4 TV shows between MA and SE and run 6 of the 8 "House" shows in the SE and at least one of the other two in MA, you'll hit Cult before you run your first monthly show. However, you can't get on PPV because you have to hit 60 pop in 4 regions. That's a little high imho. That means you can't run PPV's forever with JCP as the 3rd and 4th regions are 40 (MS) and 30 (Tri-State). So unless you're going to run there hard with the House shows (TV gives you 0.4 if not held there and 0.5 if held there so there's no point in running them there), you're looking at 50 TV shows for MS and another 25 for TS. Obviously, you'll run some of the House shows there, but they do only give you 0.5/show (God, I miss those 0.9 gains for great shows vs your pop). I'd suggest 4 regions at 45 is sufficient. You'll be Cult before you hit that anyway.</p><p> </p><p> Oh, and just noticed that AWA doesn't start with a TV show. Is that supposed to be accurate, or is that a left-over issue with not having taped deals available? Oof, just glanced at the TV requirements, that could explain it, but really, if they don't have TV, they're doomed.</p>
  2. Enjoying the 85 mod quite a bit, but I have a couple of questions. Why is there such a huge difference between the ratings of JCP and WWF? Is it because of the Cult status of WWF and/or the fact that the Syndications are set to be Free-to-Air vs TBS is commercial? Granted it is one show, but I got 0.81 with TBS while WWF got a whopping 7.56. They do have a deal in Canada too on CHCH which is a Commercial network which will add viewers, but that is a massive gulf when one is set to air in the afternoon and the other is evening. Oh, and what is up with Terry Funk? He wouldn't re-sign with me in 2013 either, but he's fine working for the other regional companies. Not a huge deal, but it is weird. I would add that there probably should be a retirement setting for Dusty. I know it is random each time, but you shouldn't get a 3-4 years on decline Dusty in 85. Ole was a 7 year on the Time Decline list too, but he's a douche who better enjoy being a Road Agent though it does hurt trying to recreate the 4 Horsemen. I was wondering about using the Figurehead mechanic since it would obviously be Flair, but I keep finding people to pair with Tully to do a 4 Horsemen without him keeping him face. In 13, it was Tully, Arn (always pick him), Savage, and Eadie. In this one, I'm doing Tully, Arn, Jake Roberts, and Curt. Basically just Tully and Arn and two great heels who have excellent tag chemistry.
  3. I'm going to post this here as I'm not sure it is a bug, but I added Scarah in my HGC game. She has absolutely no warning note about being a bad influence at all, but she's now an extremely negative influence on my roster for some reason. Any ideas why? This is with mod v1.02 and the public demo fwiw. Oh, and Peter Valentine is in development so I only have 5 basic negatives on my roster and her extreme negative. Edit: And why is something benign like knee tendonitis a 13 month injury? I got that first show with Strong, didn't think anything of it until I saw the 13 months and instantly regretted saving my game. An ACL tear is a 6-9 month injury for crying out loud.
  4. Unless I really misunderstand what the ? is saying by that option, that's not what it does. It only says you don't have a time limit for the SHOW, not the individual matches as it specifically mentions booking a 5 hour show or a really short show without penalty. To my knowledge, there's nothing the user can do about the new match length feature at all. Honestly, I have only two major gripes with the game, and they are that change and the fact that the psych penalty gets calculated BEFORE the cap kicks in so you can have a match get both. I saw that routinely in my Eye Candy fed game, thus 72's that should have been 80's. Not sure which bugs me more. And evidently, there isn't a show length cap for TV shows like there had been before (1 hr for Regional, 1.5hr for Cult, etc) so people can change the show lengths to whatever they want.
  5. I think one of the biggest challenges in the older mods is that you can't cover a mediocre main event with a quick ME squash match since all short matches are now capped at 80. The lack of match length sliders is also going to make WWF a lot harder to play as a lot of those guys couldn't go 16 minutes. May mean more modding work for you having to boost some stats.
  6. The fact that JJ and Syxx have excellent tag chemistry makes me laugh. Two of the lousiest big-name wrestlers of the Attitude Era fitting together as a tag team is just perfect.
  7. Just curious if WWF has sued over Pillmania since that's their locker room motto right now (never, ever, ever drug test WWF in this mod). Can't wait for Uncensored. It's going to be the BLEEP!<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
  8. Yeah, I think that it is mainly who is on your roster and the fact that Dustin was never, ever given the ball in WCW or WWF/E. I am really loving the fact that you're giving him this run, and I think he's been a good champion.
  9. You have to remember that Cult is the biggest range in the game. You can be anything between popular in two areas with nothing else to 70 pop across the USA. Ask yourself if you really think WWE deserves 77 pop in the US because that's what National means in the game. If you set the shows' importance up a little, you can get 15,000 at 70 pop routinely which is pretty much all WWE gets outside of PPVs. With the way Cult has been redefined in the game, they make perfect sense to be Cult. Cult feds have a couple of popular people, PPV deals, and Written contracts. They also hot-shot titles to newly hired people because no one else on their roster is hot enough to put a title on them. Once the Attitude era ended and it was clear WWE was going to coast, they really have fallen hard. Yes, they have coverage across the globe, but so does TNA, which no one would ever call National. As for debating about ratings, Selling above 66 (maybe 70) is completely irrelevant so who cares whether Dolph's selling, which is good btw, is 90 or 80? Honestly, Psych is the only skill that matters as a raw number in a much pop fed since it will get you that killer penalty. So again, Selling 66+ maybe a little higher is fine forever, and Psych that is 82-85 for a Medium-high Cult fed and 88 for National and higher. The rest of the numbers outside of Entertainment & Camera skills and Star Quality basically don't matter for WWE other than to differentiate what type of wrestler they are (Brawlers, Mat Wrestlers, Fliers). They do if you run an Equal or Performance Fed though (see Derek's excellent breakdown of that in the first part of this thread).
  10. Yeah, you have to understand what the AI can realistically pull off with WWE. That's about 80-85. So, you have to make sure your importance is set at a min. of 85. Too many mods have it go down to 80, and that is what causes them to drop. Much more pop feds just struggle with 100% AI control since the game is horrible at gaining pop for workers. Not to mention that with the change to TV giving no worker pop, that handicaps it further. Of course, WWE really should be Cult right now because no one on their roster has enough pop to headline a National fed nor are they that big of a deal anymore.
  11. Sorry, I thought I made that clear. I opened talking about all the stats before turning towards specific skills, Psychology and Selling being Pass/Fail. And that's where the 66 comes from. You have to have 66.0 selling, or you get that no-sell note (provided both can't). Also, to call in the ring (at Cult or higher), you have to have 66 psych. Both are vital to know when modding or playing the game. Top row skills really aren't that important unless all of them are terrible if they have good psych (see Derek's breakdown on how match ratings are generated).
  12. Honestly, all of the mods from 2004 back I enjoy (looking forward to Mammoth's 2006) a lot. They have it where people don't actually suck outside of WWE/WCW and a lot of people can main event one of those two feds with you putting in the time. The only reasonable current RW mods I'd recommend is Mr. Canada's now old mods as I stated in my list the rest suffer greatly from those issues. Now, if you want to rule WWE with no challenge, then by all means have fun. Want to play Lucha Underground or ROH? Not so much.
  13. Things that have been bugging me a lot about mods so I want to leave them here after reading Derek's logic which has tweaked my thinking a little. And note: This isn't saying anyone's rating is wrong, but how the game actually views that rating. You can think someone like Cena sucks at everything, but if the game worked that way, he would have been fired a long time ago. 1. The biggest thing about the rating scale in the game is that people see 0-100 and immediately think "Oh 50 is average.". That is only partially true. For the top row skills, yes. For a few other skills, yes. For the most important skills, absolutely not! 2. The game is a Pass/Fail system, and it is centered on the number 66.0. So, when you're doing most Performance Row and Looks row (actually 60 for SQ), you're really asking "Does this wrestler suck at this stat?" If he/she does, then by all means put it below 66. So, if you think no one outside of maybe 10 guys in America can put a wrestling match together, then have every suck on psychology (though look below because you run into a problem). If a guy can't sell well, put his selling below 66, but understand what you're saying when you do that. He's not a slightly above average seller, he's a crap seller. If you put Consistency low, you're saying that they put on lousy matches just as often as they put on good matches regardless of their opponent. 3. Back to Psychology and one thing that Derek omitted from his discussion of that stat. When you assign someone a psychology stat, you are immediately capping what the match rating will be if they are the one with the higher/highest psych in the match. That's the best way to keep someone's pop low too as it will cap their pop bumps from winning matches because they'll stop increasing in pop because their matches aren't good enough to raise it. Anyone who has played this game for long will remember when their big match got massacred by that "There was a lack of psychology in the match (so here is your 12-15 point penalty)". So, if you assign someone a psych rating of 50, they're now capped at around 70 rated matches when carrying the match. So, if you look at a guy and say, "This guy can never carry a 4 or 5 star match", congratulations because he now can't in the game. 4. Also, keep in mind that Calling in the Ring varies depending on your promotion's level with an ever higher psych level needed to keep doing that. As using that Road Agent note improves the match rating, you need to take that into mind as well. 5. Appearing in WWE DOESN'T MEAN YOU ARE INSTANTLY AMAZING!!! Dear God, I'm so tired with RW mods (and it has been this way for a decade so I'm not attacking the brave people making them now) all making the mistake that if you're in the WWE, were in the WWE, or everyone will instantly want to hire you in their WWE game, you are awesome. If you don't fit into that little box, then you're mediocre or worse. The same with pop too. I actually got told that someone had to be at a ridiculous pop because "If he entered the WWE again right now, he would instantly be an Upper Midcarder." Honestly, the WWE really doesn't work well at all with TEW right now. From the WWE Network to the really, really small roster yet 5 hours of A-level shows leading to repetitive booking every month, and matches not meaning anything, basically card position is irrelevant. I mean Kevin Owens def Cena in his first match could never happen in TEW without mammoth repercussions, so seriously rethink how you do WWE and their wrestlers. 6. Mod your universe to work WITH the game, not how you view people irl as TEW doesn't simulate real life well at all (It's a wrestling simulator NOT a real life simulator). Way too many mods focus on the "Big" companies and maybe a "Hip" fed or two meaning that most of the world is useless (mainly because everyone else sucks). This differs dramatically from the Cornellverse and even the Thunderverse where you can pick up any company and have a fun game. A company should be feasible to be successful unless you're doing an historical mod where they should fail. The biggest takeaway should be understanding what it means to give someone a low psych or selling rating. It matters more than any other stat you're giving someone (excluding SQ). A 70 psych for a wrestler in a National company is quite mediocre actually for anyone above midcard. Hell, an 80 psych is mediocre at National for a main eventer. Well, unless you're happy with nothing but low-to-mid 80's main events and constant "Lack of psychology" notes. So, if you have the idea of taking ROH from Regional to National, you won't be using 95% of the current roster according to all the current mods. Hell, I don't know if you can unless WWE fires a bunch of their good wrestlers because their psych ratings preclude them from putting on the great matches necessary. Well, yeah you can if you just ride 4 or 5 people, but that's not fun or realistic as they actually wildly vary their matches unlike WWE.
  14. Yeah, yellow or gold text on white is a big no-no. The number isn't too bad as it is big, but words, especially as they're small really hurts your eyes to read.
  15. Sorry, I thought I addressed your point in the rest of my post. I don't get why you want to crush everyone on the diary board with your diary, but hey, whatever motivates you to write (seriously, motivation is key in keeping a diary going). However, that Diary of the Month award and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee in a diner. Writing a diary on here should be fun for you and enjoyable to read for everyone else. And considering the quality of writing on TV and how many of those shows I like a lot get cancelled every year, you need to keep in mind that some people are going to like other diaries more than yours no matter how great it is. As for dumping everyone into one giant pool and picking one winner instead of having the different categories, I don't like that idea one bit, and dumping rookie writers into the group will probably curtail a lot of new writers joining. Again, this is coming from someone who knows he's never going to win and did it anyway, but not everyone is going to reach that same conclusion. And no, I absolutely hate participation trophies irl so I don't want to turn it into that either. I like the new voting as you can now try and fight your way up from 15th to 10th in a month instead of praying you'll get nominated. Again, whatever motivates you is fine, but just don't get frustrated if you don't win and get burned out. That was what your quoted part of my post was about. We need all the good writers out there writing for free, in their spare time, for our enjoyment on this board. Not "Screw this, I'm a better writer than these 4 people, and if this board won't recognize me, I'll rage quit."
  16. As someone who has been here from the beginning (with several sabbaticals in between), I'm pretty sure the C-V and RW divide came to be due to the negative views on the RW mods at the time along with the fact that most people were writing C-V diaries and RW needed a push. Honestly, I'd rather keep the split in place. The C-V is a very structured and orderly place whereas the RW mods are all over the place in era and stats. Both have their challenges and both should be rewarded. As for Moontie's comment, please calm down. That sounds like it is coming from an A+++ type. Destroying every other diary with yours every month isn't a reason to be on here, much less write a diary. Writing a diary is hard work and time consuming, not to mention it slows the writer's game down tremendously (whether that is a good or bad thing is debatable). Nobody gets paid to write on here. If you're like Phantom Stranger and write in real life, then this is just a place to try different things out, but for the rest of us, this is just an outlet to share our games while being creative. Improving your writing is totally subjective too. You can be amazing on here and so many things can go against you. From bad luck in the game to just picking an era where a lot of people don't read it to more things. Write to have fun. As for the whole when voting starts issue, yeah, voting needs to start at the first of the next month if there is no nomination process. Honestly, it feels weird that you could do something on the 24th of the month and it not be counted for that month because the voting has already ended. Once we get this all settled, let's start a push again for a like button as that would help tremendously. Either that or the ability to set a post to have a comment thread like FB does where you can type "Awesome!" or "Great show!" without each of them being their own post. There are some of us as was mentioned earlier that love some diaries but feel awkward just typing that as a whole post. Best of luck to everyone in this initial contest under the new rules. Just like UK football last year with the new playoff, I'll be enjoying this knowing I'm not going to win it, and I'm fine with it.
  17. I like all the suggestions and your criteria, and thank you for taking over this as I haven't passed that along yet. This probably won't get much traction, but my only suggestion would be to break the Real World Mods into two sections, probably best as post & pre-Attitude Era (really post-WCW). The more current ones pop up more frequently and get a lot more readers because it is easier for readers to jump into as they know everyone. If there were more C-Verse 97 diaries out there, I'd suggest the same thing. There's just too big of a range in RW mods, all the way from 1970 to Current Day for one category, though again, that will probably be a lack of supply for the pre-WCW ends group.
  18. Wow! Just wow. Killing off the NWO that fast and that well leaving on the KoW. So, did I miss the part of Hogan turning face, or is his contract up soon so you don't even care (since I'm figuring Hogan's too hurt to defend his title at the next PPV so he has to give it up)? Guess it is going to be Dustin vs Savage for the vacated title? He's been shot to the moon by beating all 4 Horsemen. Wait, does this mean we're getting a Hollywood Blondes reunion as Pillman has to be a face again? That would be epic! Just an exceptional PPV from top to bottom.
  19. Glad this diary is back. Hate to say that 10 year old me is watching WWF as long as Lawler has the title. I'll be watching WCW though!
  20. Ugh, to anyone that is going to play as the AWA, go into the editor and give Kent a Written deal for at least a year. It's one thing to lose him, but evidently, the AI has gotten a little bit better vs 2010 as they go Chemistry/Experience hunting now (My biggest annoyance in 10 was the AI seemed to revel in breaking up my tag teams. Never hire both, just steal one of them even if they kept picking the worse one.). WWWF stole Kent via Written deal (I was going to lose him via Exc. PPA deal unless I almost doubled his pay anyway), and he was on the roster for one day before they offered O'Neill (AWA's Announcer) too. They have a much better one already which is why I know it was based on their experience together. Hell, I hired an unemployed Announcer that was 10 points better to replace him, but it's a little jarring to be playing an historical mod only to have nobody on the original announce team there for at least one Supercard show. Not to mention that Poffo isn't thrilled with a CC push, though I edited him to Sometimes on CC which will hopefully fix it. You're on bad time decline Poffo so it is this, or you're fired! Yay to loads and loads of negative road agent comments about low announce team experience.
  21. That's another suggestion on my list for the next version. If a tag team has at least 20 (I could be convinced 40) experience pre-set, they can't have anything worse than neutral chemistry. Either that or the chemistry should be revealed at the start. I mean they've wrestled enough to know if they suck together or not. Wasn't saying you should pre-set chemistry as that should be saved only for the elite (big-named) tag teams. Though I might want to add that if you're a tag team guy (on 3 or 5 tag teams with 20 experience), that should mitigate how poor a chemistry they could have. I mean they were tag-team guys for a reason. Okay, The Grand Wizard always struck me as way older than that. Such a shame then that he died so young.
  22. Yeah, the one thing about this mod from the very start is that the NWA feds go after everyone, and they are the heaviest on offering Exclusive PPA deals I've ever seen in a mod. I don't know if you have a bunch of fed owners set to large rosters and sharks on getting people. It is Hollywood this time instead of PCAC doing a bunch of the Exc. PPA deals. I would offer advice to anyone starting out with this mod. Just wait a few weeks on some of the non-wrestlers, especially managers. Once you see that they've signed an Exc. PPA deal, then just offer them PPA deals which will steal them away. I'm losing Kent to an Exc. PPA deal, and I lost Heenan to WWWF on a Written. They aren't actually big losses as Poffo was on the bad Time Decline so he's the new CC, and I hired The Grand Wizard to replace the Brain. One thing, is his age right? It's 40 in the game, but he died in the mid-80's I thought from old age. As for the mod quibbles I brought up, that's more for the file of "historical accuracy vs gameplay". The only thing Acting is used for is to calculate the Entertainment score so it is more "What do I want Person X's Entertainment rating to be, and how do I want to tilt that (mainly between mic and charisma)?". Again, it is fine and can be worked around easily. The attendance thing was really just for anyone out there wanting to make a mod as it would save time. Glad you're thinking about re-evaluating the psych stats as I went with the pop>perf product as I don't think an equal fed would do as well with many of those wrestlers though I may be totally wrong. I'm used to seeing high-70's to mid-80's pysch for most of my top stars, and those are few and far between in the mod. I signed Chavo, Golden, Rocco, and Powers (not sure he's new) for the very reason you listed as they're better than a lot of the starting people. Btw, my midcard is amazing. I had a 4-way match for the re-purposed Midwest title as the TV title. Dusty (again still the only choice as User) vs Bockwinkel vs Terry Funk vs Powers. Powers won btw because Nick signed with 2 other companies after I signed him so I was worried about him wearing out. Oh, before I forget, I think his mic skills are a little low. I mean Jericho of all people raved about his promos. Maybe just 6 more points in mic (to 85) but jump his Acting up a lot so his Entertainment rating was 80-85. And I think you need to re-think Terry Funk's Mic skills too. Go watch the CWA stuff he did with Lawler. Granted, he'll probably grow into it since he's 25 which isn't the case for the 35 yr old Bockwinkel. Last thing that was probably just a horrid roll by the game but I brought in Jerry Valiant (Guy Mitchell) to team with Jimmy, and they got the Zero chemistry note. And yeah, I assume the gimmicks thing is just bad luck as none of them should conflict with that product. Again, that's a 2016 game fix.
  23. <p>Okay, played almost a week (ran TV) for AWA. I love the new additions and tweaks you did. AWA is still the old folks home with I think 9 on the Time Decline list, and that's with me getting pretty lucky. Verne, Gomez, and Luis Martinez (46 btw) aren't on the list at all, and Carpentier is on the first stage. I think that's their biggest issue is that most of their UMC and ME faces start on Time Decline.</p><p> </p><p> 1. I'm going to take the blame on this, and it is really, really nitpicking and probably more about the angle pack I use. The announce team for AWA (didn't check others) have crippling Acting ratings (sub 30). That means they can't be used in any angle that is based on Entertainment (as it's the avg. of Mic/Charisma/Acting). I never looked at it before so that's on me, and again, I use my own Angle pack that I ported over from 10 which have a lot of the angles for interviewers rated on Entertainment not Mic. Not a huge deal, but I thought I'd mention it.</p><p> </p><p> 2. Even after changing their Product (to the Pop>Perf non-gimmick killing product) in the Editor before starting the game, I still had way too many people with Gimmicks rated at 71 with several at 66 or below, and I have no idea why. That probably is more a game change for TEW2016 though as I hate starting a game being stuck with failed gimmicks for months on end. The new people I hired are doing fine with the gimmicks I gave them.</p><p> </p><p> 3. Take this with a grain of salt too, but honestly there is absolutely no reason to have arenas that are just a tick above where the cutoff is on price. For instance, there's an arena in the Midwest that is like 10,949. No human player is ever going to use that because the cost goes up from $30k to $100k. Again, that's a nitpick, but I feel it would save mod makers time if they left those out.</p><p> </p><p> 4. Still have everyone trying to sign Rodger Kent (AWA's CC).</p><p> </p><p> Looking forward to playing this game out. Oh, and I signed a Non-Aggression pact with CWF just to be safe. It only cost me not signing Jack Brisco so no big whoop.</p><p> </p><p> One last thing. My TV main event was Carpentier vs Dr. X (66 vs 71 psych/70 vs 80 pop in MW), and I got the lack of psych note. That's with a Regional AWA too, btw. Just as a follow up to what I was saying a few months ago.</p>
  24. Oh, I agree that it would fit historically. The thing is that the only way for a fed to get thrown out of an Alliance by the AI is to hit National. Literally, nothing else will cause it. In my 83 game, WCCW was robbing the CWA blind because they had Working Agreements with pretty much everyone else, but I couldn't get them thrown out of the NWA. Honestly, it will never affect my games because I'm pretty much set on running the AWA, but I wanted to let people know because that Alliance feature just doesn't do what it should. I've never known of a need to cap Regional feds because they just don't grow on their own without pre-set TV deals to get them to Cult, where they stop growing, and the Loan feature was better when it was simply Working Agreement. In fact, it is loads better as the AI steals your wrestlers with the Loan feature.
  25. That's something either the Mammoth is going to have to decide, or each player can decide. The issue is that the Alliance feature in the game is useless. It's only usefulness is to keep people from running shows "out-of-area". It hamstrings the human player if they want to do more than run a regional company. Basically, every NWA company should have a working agreement with each other. That will keep those feds from stealing workers from each other. THE ALLIANCE WON'T STOP THIS!!! However, as Mammoth mentioned, the AWA and any other non-NWA company will immediately have a huge leg up long-term. Really, all a player would have to do is end those working agreements in their game. You won't get booted out of the NWA for that either. Did I mention the Alliance feature sucks? Oh, and your biggest star could get "shared" right before your main show too. So, Mammoth, if you decide to put a change in, just treat it like it was a 2010 mod and do working agreements. That's all you need to stop Written deals.
