  1. Just looking at CWA as an example - they start with a gigantic roster, but if the extra workers are all pretty good then maybe it doesn't make sense to fire 30 people. I think any CWA human player would either fire the 30 people or push for a second TV show, even if it has to be a B-show on a lower channel. But in all the sim games I have, a few years out from 2020 they still just have CWA Championship Wrestling on Wednesdays for 90 minutes.
  2. As bad as I am at art and as bad as I am at photoshop I do kind of know how to use the "actions" thing in photoshop to automate adding the backgrounds to a bunch of these at once. I could try do do the same thing with mapping the template polygon onto pictures but they'd probably look real bad (cropping)
  3. My view of it (which isn't comprehensive, but I do have sim games up to 2024) is physicals and "fundamental skills" (basics, selling, safety, consistency) improve a lot. But there should be more movement with psych, more with "top row" (brawling, aerial etc) out past the very low end, and definitely more with entertainment skills. But the way destiny rolls work, it's completely random, so the system isn't necessarily broken just because you notice a few superprospects haven't gained.
  4. Personally, I don't feel like there are as many of them as I would like in the US and Canada - there are so many workers to pick from, and it tends to use the same guys. Ideally I'd like one show per region (Great Lakes, British Columbia etc) per month, but I could see other people not wanting that if it makes processing times any slower, so I would like a frequency option if it's possible. Even if it's something you can only set in the database before you start a save.
  5. I like the data but cmon, Seth isn't a scumbag, he's just terrible at posting. I'd also give Kenny excellent athleticism and great psych instead of the other way around.
  6. <p>I did tweaks on skills with the two India packs while I was watching the Korean baseball last night. Mostly physicals, like guys who had all 90s or all 20s because of the way the auto-creator works, also giving a little bit of help to the guys on the bottom who had like 8 for safety. When I see a fun character but his stats are so low I know the AI will never hire him, maybe I want to help him out a bit. But the renders, the bios and the names are so cool. </p><p> </p><p> With the two feds in the game (backdated to Jan 2020), maybe an extra one (for balance I'd want to put it in the south and let it use the women) India's actually in a good spot.</p>
  7. I've got the link in the OP up on google drive (download icon is in the top right panel) https://drive.google.com/open?id=18tAG69htFbEwFB2N6U3AXn6A9bTDmnJV I absolutely love this pack and the other community one, I think they have so much personality. I merged them together and did a little tweaking while I was half-watching a 9-0 Korean baseball game last night. Even as barebones as India is in the game, I still wish they had like any broadcasters at all.
  8. If you made them in the editor it's probably related to this somehow? http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=547440
  9. Just made a company in the editor and they never put on a show. Their schedule was set to "fixed," which is the default, and I never put events in so that's obviously why. I was able to figure out the problem, but for people who just want to throw a couple new feds in without that much effort I think it's better to make it default to "Monthly." edit: ahhhhh this should be in suggestions! My bad bro
  10. I merged the two great Indian files (Wonk's and Brat's) and did some balancing/tweaking work (mostly physicals - too many people were like 20s at everything or 90s at everything because of the way the autofill works), performance skills for some of the lower level guys, some overness, some typos in the bios. But I don't want to release something where the work is like 1% mine, seriously these guys have so much character in the renders and the bios, I love them
  11. <p>I can turn on the 666 xxx Extreme Variance xxx 666, right?</p><p> </p><p> edit: and are there rules for user talents? I'm guessing no lucky dip?</p>
  12. Everything has a dependency on the workers, there's one new training facility so the graduates have a dependency on that, and the move sets have a dependency on the moves. I think lol
  13. Hey, I recognize some of those! Dennis, Monstrosity and Robert Montgomery Sr. are pictureless but Dennis and Monstrosity are there in the OP. To get the tag teams, relationships, dojo stuff etc (I think there's 5 tag teams, a bunch of the workers are second generation, and like half of them are supposed to come up in training facilities) you should import all the workers first, then the training facilities, then the graduates, worker relationships and tag teams in whatever order. Edit: forgot about the moves, which you should do after the workers but before the move sets.
  14. This is something that might be unique to TEW mods. I know I work on Football Manager retro database mods, and because most of my data is a direct port from old FM games that used different standards for player ability, the players are more highly rated in my mods than they are in the real game. But it doesn't matter that much! If Arsenal is better, and Charlton is better, but Arsenal is still much better than Charlton, it's basically fine, and maybe people will enjoy the screenshots of super-players and the match engine looking a little more arcadey. But in TEW, a company with 80 popularity and top workers who are 60s at their best stats is impossible. You can even make the argument that the current WWE roster has bad entertainment skills compared to the big CVerse feds, but in general your data in a TEW mod needs to match the CVerse.
  15. I was gonna just say "my boy Kevin Federline, America's Most Hated"
  16. Waiting on the yet to debut mod to get finished up (it helps that i made like 10-20 of the dudes), then i'll probably start a CVerse RTG. Haven't decided on the place/product yet, but I'm leaning Puerto Rican Hardcore. I will try not to kill anyone backstage
  17. I should have made the scumbag reality tv chick debut way earlier
  18. Aw I love Subhan and Nayima! Especially Nayima's face. But I think the bindi would be really unusual for a Pakistani woman to wear? Great render though, lots of character! For Subhan's booking, I'm in the screen now: maybe 20 reputation, 60 skill, minimum age 30, hiring preference young raw talent, firing preference no bias, title reigns conservative?
  19. I know Stellaris has little bonuses for all the ethics? I mean that game's kind of a mess for other reasons but still. I don't know how much it would hurt for TEW to say "you have a Hardcore product, all of your workers get a +7 to their Hardcore stat on shows with your company" or "you have a telenovela/skit-based product, all Gimmicky/Comedy gimmicks will score higher on that awful/average/whatever/legendary scale than they would otherwise." Little things like that that wouldn't be broken, but wouldn't feel like the game railroading you either. Should I make a thread? I don't wanna make a thread
  20. Worker Name: Gayatri Dasari Worker Size: Skinny small Worker Appearance: Whatever you have left over for cute valets. Maybe give her a commentary headset if it's easy, if it's not i won't care Birth Month/Year: February 1995 Debut Month/Year: December 2019 Nationality: Indian Available Areas: India Worker Gimmicks (Face/Heel): Face: Bubbly Sports Analyst (gimmicky) / Heel: Biased Sports Analyst (gimmicky) Worker Bio: Gayatri Dasari is a young cricket pundit from Telangana state who was recently fired from her TV job for, well, not knowing anything about cricket. She knows even less about wrestling, but she's ready to be a bit of a jack-of-all-trades as a color commentator, onscreen personality and manager. Since she's cute and genuinely personable, she should be in some demand. Alter-Ego's (with description): N/A Dojo Graduate: No. Worker Relationships: N/A Worker Personality/Attributes: Plays comedy well, plays gimmicky well, fearless, irrepressible, notorious ribber, modelling experience, outside interests Stats Template: Experience: Rookie Worker Type/Style: Valet, color commentator, personality Skills: Very weak Athleticism: Not gifted Entertaining: Very Looks: Extremely good edit: can you give Subhan Ali from earlier some booking stats? It would make sense since he's been around for a while, he doesn't have to be anything special at it
  21. Lol, I didn't know how bad "weak" in-ring skills actually was. I want Suleiman Jafri to be like a downscale Roger Cage or Miz type, not a manager. Maybe numbers around 35ish/40ish for brawling and performance skills instead of 20ish? Worker Name: Subhan Ali Khan Worker Size: Flabby light heavyweight Worker Appearance: Generic, kinda fat tough guy. Maybe like a black tank top or something Birth Month/Year: April 1984 Debut Month/Year: January 2005 Nationality: Pakistani Available Areas: India Worker Gimmicks (Face/Heel): Face: Street Fighter (badass) / Heel: Pride of Pakistan (gimmicky) Worker Bio: To the extent that the South Asian wrestling scene exists, for 15 years Subhan Ali Khan has been one of its staples. When he works in India, he has a consistent formula: trade on the India-Pakistan conflict for heel heat (but not enough to cause an international incident), put on an energetic brawl (with weapons, if the promoter allows weapons), and lose to the local babyface. It seems like anyone who's anyone has beaten Subhan Ali at least once. Because he's so reliable he's always been able to find work, even in a weak wrestling market, and he's also shown an aptitude as a trainer with his little sister Nayima coming up in the business. Alter-Ego's (with description): Dojo Graduate: Worker Relationships: Nayima Khan: blood relative Worker Personality/Attributes: plays gimmicky well, plays badass well, plays crazy well, stuntman, will risk injury, giving performer, professional, passes on knowledge, apolitical, unmarketable, natural trainer, future road agent Stats Template: I will be using the quick skill creation options in the editor to generate stats...simply choose one option for each category (NOTE: after quick build, some stats may be adjusted slightly for balance purposes). No one knows where she got most of her moves from, since Subhan Ali works such a basic style, but there is one thing she obviously took from him: solid worked punches, which fit well with her pseudo-MMA approach of constantly trying to set up arm submissions. 22. I figure that anything I put this much attention into before release is a passion, so I'll probably buy it day one. But I want the game to be easy to play and hard to master, so there are some design issues and some issues with the way the product/penalty stuff is presented that really get to me. Like, I think it's well within the realm of possibility even with VB, yada yada, to make 40-50 products that feel unique to play and cool, not unique to play and annoying. There's also the busted economy for PPVs, but I assume that'll get fixed.
