1.
I just wanted to clear up some misunderstandings I have and am not sure about.

What skills are for Road Agent?

What skills are for Trainer (dojo)?

    What skills are for Announcer?

What skills are for Color Commentary?

Now, to be clear: Who is announcer? Is this "Howard Finkel" or "Jim Ross"? Howard Finkel names the wrestlers as they walk down to the ring, and calls the results of a match. Jim Ross sits at the booth and talks during the match.

My confusion is because a google search gives a lot of weird information, opinions, and no good answers. Some have said in the TEW forums for TEW10, that it counts Mic Skills and Charisma for Color Commentary and/or Announce. Some have said Basics is a mandatory "Trainer" skill and others said literally all that matters is Reputation and Respect. I just want to know exactly which skills are used by these Non-Wrestler roles.

And almost every answer redirects to old threads and info from TEW08, TEW10, TEW13, especially in areas where things may have changed between 2016 and its older counterparts. And almost half of the responses about these questions gives contradictory answers. I would love some official answers.

I've read 2013 uses a Pass/Fail system oriented around number 66.0 - anyone with 66 can use certain notes like "call in ring" and anyone below 66 will get notes about how they aren't good enough at basics to carry a match or how their psychology is too low. Is there a 66.0 Pass/Fail system in TEW16 and what skills does it impact if yes?

  2.
Can a child company own a broadcaster?

    What I want to do...

Parent Company > Parent Network (subscription, medium coverage)

    Parent Company > Child Company

Child Company > Child Network (free to watch, very small coverage only in its home region).

    Parent Company - Global Brand

Child Company - Regional Brand (one for US, one for Canada, one for Japan, etc), so each network have viewers across its own region only and not the global coverage of the parent brand.

I am thinking about one Parent Dojo in each region to keep the child companies supplied with talent. This will hopefully result in my main brand becoming a global powerhouse with strong access to diverse talent across the world.

I was hoping someone would say pre- and post-show didn't affect prestige.

This is what low prestige belts are good for. Having a random three or four way match with a prestige 30-40 belt defended only on post-show or pre-show. Taking advantage of that note to warm the fans up, then straight into the show opening promo.

  4. 1. In TEW 2013, the game used a "Pass/Fail System" based on number 66.0, meaning certain skills in that game give bad notes unless they're a minimum of 66. Selling and Psychology, for example. I was also told Psychology had to be 78 to be allowed to "call in ring".

What skills in TEW 16 have a similar Pass/Fail number? What is that number?

    2. Do child companies grow over time? If I start one at local size, will it increase in popularity and gain size? What is the maximum size of a developmental company?

    3. What are the advantages and disadvantages to setting a development company as a Touring promotion? For example, will I be able to staff it with permanent road agents, announcer, referee, etc. or will I have to mess around with rehiring every slot after each tour?

    4. What numbers for skills are considered "average stock", "meaningfully above average but not great"? I am trying to get a sense of what range I should be statting my guys in. I read Derek B's Mod-Making Tutorial for TEW13, but I don't know how much holds true to 16, especially maluses/bonuses, and point thresholds (like the 66.0 rule for Psychology and Selling).

Thanks for any time taken to answer!

  5. Don't mind me, just strolling through...

Heck, 30 is a great score for that. This has nothing to do with caps.

Just so you know, a TNA guy like James Storm or Bram, or even Fandango would have Psychology around 60, while Psychology 70 would be at home on a guy like Brock Lesnar. I would give 80 to a guy like Kurt Angle and 90 to a guy like Shawn Michaels.

So, you should not think "30?! That's trash, I could do better!" - you're dealing with a performance art that is a skilled trade. YOU would be lucky to have Psychology 5, after completing a training school.

What are uses for this:

1. Book matches to be scripted.

2. Developmental and Child companies.

3. "Low" prestige title reigns.

4. Jobbing to the Stars.

Don't be discouraged that virtual newbies are green. Heck, I would give Braun Strohman psychology 60, Nia Jax 50. I like to say - the higher the psychology stat, the higher the years in the business.

I am sick of watching my mod-made promotions all kamikaze over running shows in spots with 40-60% popularity in a region where the economy is 30% and industry 50%.

It's mostly to kinda handcuff where my promotions run shows.

  9.
1. Does the character skill "Star Quality" go up? I haven't seen it. A lot of guys aren't over as 22 year old boys but develop the look and "it factor". It should if it doesn't and I have never seen it increase.

    2. Does the feature of "Chemistry" between superstars ever change? If not, it should. Hogan and Flair had awful chemistry at first - so did Sting and Vader. But in both cases, this was solved and both pairs went on to have some fun matches. Heck, even the first WWF ladder match with Shawn/Bret and the first Shawn/Bret feud in 1992 and 1993 were just awful matches - they developed chemistry later when Shawn came into his own.

    3. Events can become higher rated over time, but can they become less important? Can a historic event slip to highly regarded? Just curious.

    4. Is there a way to access the handbook out of game or in the editor? It's a pain to leave editor, start a game to get some clarification, then leave the game and go back to the database.

    5. Can I access the database with Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access? Would it make a faster work flow for modding?

    Thanks for any answers!

This is why you want to build a strong top roster where you can shift anyone into the top spot. You want to rotate your top guy often enough and bury him a few times when he gets out of line then build him back up. Consider this "egomaniac" bar a maintenance thing. As you raise his wins, this undesirable bar raises. You want to keep it down.

  12.
Do broadcasters ever grow or will I have to create a new one when I am too big?

(I made a small one for a cult size promotion).

Is the "in-demand" or "prime time" get more viewers?

I have not seen this new one before. Common sense would tell me "In-Demand" means anyone/everyone can/will watch at their own convenience as many of my audience core probably works second shift during primetime hours.
