  2. 『SURVIVOR BATTLE 2021 IN NIIGATA』 – August 14th, 2021 Niigata Prefectural Gymnasium (Niigata, Chubu) [Emperor Choice, WCG Global & Aichi] Busy weeks are ahead of White Canvas Grappling when titles were on the line today in Niigata and just a week later it'll be INVASION ATTACK in Los Angeles with talents of Total Championship Wrestling, WCG Of America and others. But still that is not enough, just five days after the US adventure the annual White Canvas Trophy tournament kicks-off. WCG World Heavyweight Champion Bunrakuken Torii went to war against Reiwa Ishingun member Azumamaro Kita in one of the best matches of the year. Kita and "Machine Gun" nearly brought the fight to the thiry minute mark but just a minute before that mark Torii's Spinning Forearm Smash landed perfectly and was key for Torii's sixth' straight title defense. This brought "Genius" Hitomaro Suzuki to the table who came out to the ring to challenge the champ to a match at next week's USA show "INVASION ATTACK". Suzuki stated that they both got sixth title defenses in their respective reigns as the World Champion and Suzuki wants desperately stop Torii for overcoming him. Yoshinaka Taku successfully defended the WCG Intercontinental Championship for the first time since coming back and winning it at WRESTLING IMPERIUM. However Taku had some problems to get his things going on and Logan Diaz felt that. Taku is still not at his 100% level where he was before his long injury but still after getting punched for a while he managed to put Diaz down with his dangerous Full Nelson Bomb and immediatly put Diaz in his Lion Vise for the win. A pretty exhausted Taku grabbed the microfon and told the crowd he'll be in the United States for the upcoming show althought he's happy for the rest during the upcoming White Canvas Trophy shows. Like the WCG World and Intercontinental titles, the World Tag Team and Junior Heavyweight Championships did not changed hands in Niigata. Fujio Narahashi and Gonkuro Kamioka made their fifth defense against a tough team of Munemitsu Senmatsu and Yasunobu Masuno. They emerged no challengers afterwards but Narahashi was confronted by the Reiwa Ishingun backstage where he cut a promo. The Ishingun told Narahashi that he's just a tag team wrestler despite winning the S-1 this year. Narashi just referred to the upcoming White Canvas Trophy. Junior Heavyweight Champ KC Glenn defeated Billy Robinson and announced that he'll defend the title in the USA next week against an opponent from WCG Of America. The WCG United States Heavyweight Championship wasn't on the line today but after Hiroyasu Gakusha pinning the current titleholder Ernest Youngman, the latter was challenged by the Golden Canvas Grappling legend to a titlematch at INVASION ATTACK! 5. AEW TV RECAP NOVEMBER 1st - NOVEMBER 17th The final three weeks ahead of Full Gear were jam packed with tons of actions including title matches, a Battle Of The Belts show and many more. AEW fans were witnesses of great matches and moments with Full Gear just being a day away! AEW World Champion MJF got helped by a dou for being known as good, or should I say, best friends: Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta had enough of Jay White's little games and as being good friends to people who need some they decided to help Max. On an episode of Collision MJF and the Best Friends defeated the Bullet Club Gold trio of Juice Robinson and The Gunns to the delight of the Wichita crowd. Nevertheless Jay White had the last laugh when he hit the Blade Runner on MJF and posed with the strap above MJF. AEW CEO and General Manager rewarded the Best Friends for their fighting spirit and help and booked a ROH World Tag Team titlematch against The Gunns for Battle Of The Belts. And to the surprise of no one, The Bang Bang Gang made sure that the titles remained on their side while MJF couldn't helped the Best Friends due to injury. And speaking of injury, Adam Cole called MJF just before Max and White had a promo battle at Collision. Cole spoke about his injury and that he'll be sidelined for even longer. The neverending saga between Kenny Omega and his former friend Don Callis continued. On the first Dynamite of November, Kenny Omega demanded a match against a "DCF" affiliated and he got a match for next week's Dynamite against Kyle Fletcher. Omega and Fletcher tored the roff off in a very good match which created a lot of buzz online. After the match the Don Callis Family attacked Kenny Omega but the Young Bucks made the save for their friend. At Collision The Elite attacked the Don Callis Family backstage, where the Family were interviewed. This lead to a six man tag team match at Dynamite where The Elite were victorious against Hobbs, Takeshita and Guevara. In the meantime The House Of Black, current AEW World Tag Team Champions and the next opponents of the Young Bucks, stated that their opponents aren't focussed on their match and will be doomed for it. On the very last episode of Collision before the PPV, The "Hung Bucks" defended their ROH World Six-Man Tag Team titles against The House Of Black, which was like a little preview for their title bout on saturday. After the match Andrade El Idolo attacked Hangman Page to weaken Page just before their Full Gear Title Eliminator Final match. Christian Cage and Adam Copeland met each other in the ring again on an episode of Dynamite where Christian and his Coalition of Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus took on Copeland and The Hardys. Despite being the inexperienced team, the Charisma Coalition were on top of their game and after Luchasaurus nearly broke Matt Hardy in two pieces it was the "Father Of The Year" himself to get the win for his team. And if that wasn't enough The North came to the ring and not only attack The Hardys but also attacking Copeland, the icing on the cake came when Ethan Page alligned themselves with Christian and his trio. Just days later Nick Wayne challenged Jeff Hardy to a match at Rampage which the young kid from Seattle lost, this time The Hardys and "The Rated R Superstar" fought off the majority. Copeland and Christian Cage had even more trouble on the go-home-edition of Collision where these two brawled across the arena and backstage. We can't wait for Full Gear! It was real shocker when Ricky Starks won the AEW TNT Championship from Christian Cage in an untypical match for AEW when two heels collided. With a little bit help by Adam Copeland, who is feuding with Christian Cage, Ricky Starks won his first ever official AEW Championship after being the unrecognized FTW World Champion before. On an episode of Dynamite, Ricky Starks had a backstage interview with Renee Paquette in which he was interrupted by CJ Perry and Keith Lee. After convincing performances Lee challenged Starks to a TNT Titlematch at "BOTB 8". "Absolute" Ricky Starks made his first successful defense against Lee and the following Dynamite Starks was yet again confronted. Starks was being challenged by former AEW International Champion Rey Fénix, who just defeated Rocky Romero in an absolute showstealer. Starks ignored the challenge but after labelling himself and Big Bill a way better tag team than the Lucha Brothers, Tony Khan made a match official between the two teams for Full Gear. It's nearly an impossible task to face for the double champion Eddie Kingston. The "War King" desperately tried to reunite Ortiz and Mike Santana, told them to get their sh*t together to fight on his very side against the Mogul Embassy. However the former tag partners started a fight again which several road agents tried to disband. After having Santana on his side a week ago, Eddie teamed up with Ortiz against AR Fox and Swerve Strickland on Rampage where Kingston took Fox' head off with a Lariat for the win. A week later Kingston even got ambushed at a ROH on HonorClub show after a Provin Grounds match against Ari Daivari when The Gates Of Agony and Brian Cage attacked him and Ortiz as well as Santana helped their friend although they still not like each other. On the Rampage before the PPV, the Mogul Embassy won an eight man tag team match against Eddie, Ortiz, Santana and the re-activated Homicide. Strickland pinned Homicide after a dispute between Ortiz and Santana. When CJ Perry stepped foot on AEW turf Miro wasn't that happy. His "Hot & Flexible" wife had the ambition to manage clients who can potentially win some gold, Miro had to proove something even more when Keith Lee asked CJ to be his manager to kick-off Lee's career again. On Collision Miro lost the Full Gear Eliminator Semi Final match against Andrade El Idolo when, on the very same night, Keith Lee squashed Ryan Nemeth in under three minutes. Miro then officially laid out the challenge to face Keith Lee after Lee squashed yet annother prey, which CJ Perry accepted on the behalf of his client on Dynamite. To be better than his enemy Miro destroyed his opponent on the go-home-episode of Rampage in under two minutes. Saraya and Thunder Rosa continued their feud in which the highlight of the recent weeks was when Rosa invited her former tag partner Holidead to AEW to face The Outcasts. The Twisted Sister almost got the upperhand over Saraya but she was victorious in unfair fashion. Although Willow Nightingale has to face Kris Statlander at Full Gear, the two were on the same side when Skye Blue showed her real face after being misted by Julia Hart over a month ago. Willow came to help for a jobber at Rampage when Skye Blue brutalized her opponent after the match. Julia Hart and The House Of Black took Skye Blue under their wings and on the go-home-edition of Dynamite Julia Hart and the now called Skye Black made their debut as a tag team. In the very same week on Rampage Statlander wished Willow good luck for her match against Lady Frost, Nightingale won the match and almost got misted by Julia Hart afterwards but Statlander made the save. The Blackpool Combat Club is back in full force! Jon Moxey made his return in an eight man tag team match alongside Castagnoli, Yuta and Garcia to take on Shane Taylor, Lee Moriarty, Tony Nese and Josh Woods on Dynamite. Mox was impressed by Moriarty, he demanded a match against him, which happened on the following Dynamite. Moxley defeated Moriarty, where the latter bled and gave everything he could. The former AEW World Champion shook hands with Moriarty and invited him to be a part of the BCC. That invite left Shane Taylor furious, Taylor challenged Moxley to a match at Collision where Taylor lost. It seemed like Moriarty is BCC bound. Speaking of BCC, Bryan Danielson continued his unique run as the International Champion by defeating Bandido in a very good match. Bandido had some fun with the "Dragon" and so he wanted to have Castagnoli in the ring, too. The Swiss issued that a trios match could be something down the line. Danielson on the other hand needed to overcome "Murder Grandpa" Minoru Suzuki on Battle Of The Belts, which he did. Danielson asked for a "real banger" after the match and he'll get one: Kota Ibushi came out and nodded to Danielson, the match was made official by Tony Khan for Full Gear. At Battle Of The Belts a vignette announced the Motor City Machine Guns. Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin made their official debut on Dynamite, where they defeated Darius Martin and Action Andretti. On the go-home-episode of AEW Collision Rush and his La Faccion Ingobernables stablemates announced their upcoming return to AEW! AEW Dynamite - November 1st, 2023 1. 9. AEW TV RECAP OCTOBER 18th - OCTOBER 28th The Road To Full Gear is upon us and All Elite Wrestling delivered yet again on television. We saw new champions, surprising challenger, the debut of wrestler and feuds who went personal and that just weeks before Full Gear! The "Bang Bang Gang", MJF, Adam Cole & Roderick Strong - This whole scenery between them groups went even more absurd when Strong tried to convince Cole that MJF is just a disgusting human being and is not worthy to be Cole's friend. While on Dynamite the mysterious devil mask guys attacked Juice Robinson backstage just days ahead of his TNT Title Eliminator tournament. While MJF claimed his innocence in this whole angle, White and his allies didn't believe him. The "Bang Bang Gang" attacked MJF after a 15-minute-Promo Battle between White and Friedman until The Best Friends, Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor, made a surprising appereance and helped MJF against the supremacy. The feud between the former brothers Adam Copeland and Christian Cage continued and they took jabs at each other left and right. After Christian insulted the wife and kids of "The Rated R Superstar", Copeland hit back with a surprising attack backstage on the TNT Champion and a challenge for Full Gear. AEW President Tony Khan confirmed the match while a TNT Title Eliminator Match was won by Ricky Starks. This lead to an important decision by the Rated R Superstar when on Rampage the "Charisma Coalition" wanted to give Griff Garrison a Conchairto, but the latter was rescued by Copeland. A week later in the main event of Collision, the TNT Championship Match was interfered by Copeland who distracted Christian so "Absolute" Ricky Starks took the chance to roll Christian up for three to win the TNT title. After that Copeland got ambushed by the Coalition and to the delight of the crowd the heels were chased away by none other than the Hardy Boyz! Bryan Danielson's first title challenger was none other than the inaugral ROH World Champion "World Warrior" Low Ki. Ultimately the Brooklyn native came up short in a very good match which the fans online praised a lot. The "American Dragon" stated that he's the very best wrestler on planet earth and he'll continue his run as the International Champion when suddenly Bandido returned to the screen and challenged Danielson to a titlematch on the next Dynamite. The Don Callis Family were still on the hunt for Chris Jericho. Backstage on an episode of Dynamite Jericho was attacked by Hobbs, Takeshita and Guevara where Kenny Omega was too late to rescue Jericho. A week later Hobbs made short work of Jericho and nearly squashed "The Ocho", of course The Don Callis Family attacked Jericho afterwards and this time Kenny Omega could save his friend. Don Callis continued to insult Kenny Omega and even challenged Omega to a match against his client Powerhouse Hobbs at Full Gear, he hopes that Hobbs can derail him too. On the last Collision episode in October it was announced that The Young Bucks will come back next week on Dynamite, maybe Kenny can need some help. Other family members like Aussie Open and Will Ospreay had more issues with The Acclaimed and attacked them on Rampage. Tony Khan booked the Trios titlematch for Full Gear! AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR are banged up after yet another title defense. This time Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were able to defeat New Japan Pro Wrestling's TMDK, Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls, in a fairly decent match. Just seconds after the match, the lights went out and Malakai Black returned to AEW and attacked FTR with brutal kicks. The intension were crystal clear: Black and Brody King had their eyes on the tag straps and to defend their pride FTR challenged the mysterious group to a title bout. Then happened, what had to happen - House Of Black dominated FTR and won the tag team championships. Willow Nightingale came away with a big win in a six man tag team match where both the AEW Women's World and the AEW TBS Champion were involved. Willow scored the win over The Bunny and was hand selected by Kris Statlander as her next challenger at Full Gear, Nightingale gladly accepted. While Statlander choose her challenger by herself was Saraya the opposite. She ducked Thunder Rosa on multiple occassions but with a big win by "La Mera Mera" against Saraya's ally Ruby Soho. AEW President Tony Khan made the match official for Full Gear, althought Saraya wasn't happy about the decision. ROH World & NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion Eddie Kingston has a huge target on his back and he knows that. The Mogul Embassy eyed him, especially Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana. Strickland announced that he wants to challenge Eddie for a double title match at Full Gear, he called Kingston a fat lazy hyprocrite and tried to provoke Kingston even more. On an edition of Rampage, The Gates Of Agony sneak attacked Kingston and Swerve posed with his belts. Kingston adressed the people on Collision that he wants "to get the band back together" to help him against the supremacy of The Embassy. The problem is, his band don't like each other anymore. Kingston convinced Mike Santana to team with him against The Gates Of Agony where Kingston and Santana were successful. Afterwards a brawl erupted where Ortiz came to the helpe of his friends, which made Santana pissed and he left. The Full Gear Title Eliminator tournament started on October 18th and the first round was finished in the last two weeks. Former TNT Champion Miro's task to burst through the tournament continued with a win over House Of Black's Buddy Matthews in front of the eagle eye of his wife CJ Perry. The Semi Finals will be Miro against Andrade El Idolo and Adam Page versus ROH World Television Champion Samoa Joe. They were two debuts to witness on AEW Television. On the episode of Rampage on October 27th the AAA World Tag Team Champions Komander and newly debuting Arez visited AEW and took on the former AAA Tag Champions the Lucha Brothers in a non-title affair. Just a day later on Collision The Hardys won a tag team encounter with The Dark Order, celebrated their win and then got laid out by Ethan Page and Josh Alexander. The North is officially in AEW! 10. 『Road To SURVIVOR BATTLE - Tour Recap』 After having a killer show recently with the fifth episode of WRESTLING IMPERIUM, White Canvas Grappling is on the road to Niigata. Five titles were on the line just before the big SURVIVOR BATTLE show and one of them changed hands, too. Former xDREAM member KATOU got his second ever singles titleshot in White Canvas Grappling by facing WCG United States Heavyweight Champion Ernest Youngman in Saitama. Since the demis of xDREAM, Katou joined the Hontai wrestler to face the Rogue Squad in different combinations and was quite successful and was awarded a titlematch. However Youngman's crafty attitude was too much for him and the Chicago native defended his title once again. On the very same night the freshly crowned Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, Rebel Run X, also successfully defended the championship against KAZ and Jayson Van Pelt of Pro Wrestling SAISHO. The RISE Openweight Six Man Tag Team titles changed hands in Sendai when the Burning Hazard trio of Kiyonari Genji, Taheiji Konoe and Ieyoshi Shimakage came short out of their match against the bruising trio of Brandon Smith, Findlay O'Farraday and Danny Cavanagh. The beefy group were the clear fan favourites and let the crowd roar after the winning pinfall. With this titlewin Brandon Smith has now won three different championships in WCG after winning the Intercontinental title in 2019 and the US title in 2020. When White Canvas returned to Saitama Sports Field once again for a televised "Road To" show two titles were on the line yet again. After having an unsuccessful challenge to Youngman's US title in the first week of June, Morimasa Kato had the chance to win a singles title once again by facing GCG World Heavyweight Champion Zeshin Makioka. Unlike to his match with Youngman this match was a real fight between two hard hitting guys, a fair contest between two real fighters. However Kato wasn't able to capture the title and came out as the loser once again. The semi main event of the night was when Heihachiro Sakai defended the RISE Openweight title in a lackluster fight against former xDREAM member Noburo Ikoma. It was Sakai's first defense of the RISE Openweight Championship.
  11. Still loving it. Yea you can definitely tweak a bit more of the presentation but the write-ups are good and I really love the wrestler you are using though. Keita Yano as the main man is still unique and he's arguably one of the most underrated people in Japan.
  12. AEW TV RECAP OCTOBER 4th - OCTOBER 14th What a homerun of a show AEW WrestleDream was with the surprising and exciting debut of Adam Copeland, an all-time classic wrestling match between Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr. and even more. Surely the next televised AEW shows were as great as the previous episodes with a TV special, many titlematches and the in-ring debut of Adam Copeland for All Elite Wrestling. MJF is clearly on his own. The AEW World Champion has a huge target on the back and no allies at all to fight against "Switchblade" Jay White and his Bullet Club Gold. Buddy Adam Cole is sidelined and out of action for several months now such as Roderick Strong, who seemed like to get Cole back as his own "bestie". So it wasn't a surprise at all when "BC Gold" attacked Max on the Anniversary episode of Dynamite with no help coming to MJF's rescue. To make it even worse Jay White officially laid out his challenge for the AEW World Championship while the Gunn Brothers issued a challenge for the ROH World Tag Team Championship for next week on Dynamite. On Title Tuesday it was time for MJF to face his rivals who were not only here to beat him but also to may injure him for his upcoming match against leader Jay White. The Gunns took MJF's beloved tag titles off him - Is the AEW World title next? The debut of Adam Copeland shocked the wrestling world and even more shocking was when Christian Cage and Adam Copeland met each other in the ring after the happenings from WrestleDream. The two childhood friends had a heated argument right in the middle of the squared circle where Christian Cage left the ring after insulting Copeland. The newly acquisition made his in-ring debut against Luchasaurus where Copeland took the win away from Christian's bodyguard, an upset Christian Cage attacked Copeland from behind with his allies and even a conchairto was planned until the lights went out and "The Icon" Sting rescued Copeland from a brutal beatdown. This leads to a special tag match at Collision just days later when Copeland and Sting formed a team to take on Nick Wayne and "Father Of The Year" Christian Cage. The unequal duo of legends won the match when Copeland pinned Wayne after a Spear. The war between these two will continue! After having an all-time classic against New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Zack Sabre Jr., Bryan Danielson developed a liking for having so called "dream matches" against international opponents. After Rey Fenix successfully defended the AEW International Championship, the "American Dragon" arrived to issued a challenge for Title Tuesday which Fenix happily accepted. In yet another great match Danielson captured his first ever All Elite Wrestling Championship and immediatly announced that he's going to show the world in his last year as a pro-wrestler that he's the best wrestler in the world. The Don Callis Family made a big statement at WrestleDream when Will Ospreay, Konosuke Takeshita and Sammy Guevara defeated the dream trio of Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi and it seemed like the saga between them will continue. At a backstage interview Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho were ambushed by Powerhouse Hobbs and Aussie Open who alligned themselves with Don Callis and his family, the heels were drived out by The Acclaimed which lead to a Eight Man Tag Team Match on Collision were Takeshita and The United Empire won the match and announced a challenge for the Trios Championship while Hobbs also arrived and the heels stomped on the faces. A hurt Kenny Omega tried to help but the show ended with triumphant heels. The Don Callis Family are taking no prisoners! Saraya and Hikaru Shida are still not loving each other and you absolutely saw it when those two met each other in a tag match just a week before their title match. The former Paige was able to defeat Hikaru Shida but in quite unfair fashion, nevertheless the AEW World Women's Championship remain supreme until a theme erupted we haven't heard for a long time - THUNDER ROSA made her comeback after a long injury time-off and the former Champion eyed the title and Saraya. After the fallout with namesake Chris Jericho, the Jericho Appreciation Society may still be together but as a group without a name or identity. Nevertheless Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta had their fourth encounter and delivered yet again a very good match which had the better ending for Yuta again. The Blackpool Combat Club fighter reached his hand out for Garcia and the latter accepted the handshake while we saw Castagnoli watching the match backstage. Obviously Parker, Menard and Hager weren't keen on having Garcia shaking hands with former enemies. Just three days later the trio of Menard, Parker and Garcia lost to a mexican trio of Kommander, Gravity and El Hijo Del Vikingo where Garcia and his partners had many issues and miscommunication which lead to the loss. After the match Menard, Parker and Jake Hager attacked Garcia until Wheeler Yuta of all people made the save. 14. Aaaaaaand let's go! Welcome to my very first attempt of doing an US based promotion diary. I had this idea of doing AEW for a couple of weeks and months but didn't pull the trigger due to unknown reasons to be honest, but here we are now and I hope I'll fun and you as a reader, too. JFYI I won't do lengthy write-ups here for each and every TV show, I'm going to do a report style like I do in my WCG diary or my good friend @Dalton did back in his award winning AEW diary years ago. I'll focus more on the big(ger) shows and how the world in the save will be evolving with hirings, departures and many more. Not gonna lie I'm not the biggest AEW fan and I have critize them for some decisions in terms of booking but I feel like I'll having fun with the roster, the partnerships and they've got so much potential for being a super fun diary/save.

  20. After an eventful show in Tokyo, White Canvas Grappling is heading north to one of the biggest port cities in the country: Niigata is the traditional host of the post WRESTLING IMPERIUM season with SURVIVOR BATTLE! Just a stone's throw away from the Sea of Japan, the show will be held at the Niigata Prefectural Gymnasium. Azumamaro Kita knows how he can beat Bunrakuken Torii. The Reiwa Ishingun man has done it before and is eager to prove it again. „It's not an easy task, that's for sure. Torii has beat guys left and right the last months but he couldn't finish the job in March against me. Let's see how it turns out this time.“, Kita told at the press conference. "Machine Gun" has lost in Niigata before this year, is this a bad omen? „No it's not. I don't care if I defend my title in Tokyo, Niigata or outside of Japan.“ Yoshinaka Taku was smiling and just happy at the press conference. His time of suffering after the grueling injury seems to be over and he can carry on from now on. Althought Matthew Keith attacked him after the title win, Logan Diaz emerged as the newest challenger for him. It'll be Diaz' first singles titlematch in WCG and the nephew of Raymond Diaz wants to bring the gold back to the Rogue Squad. The Hanami Cup is back! The third episode of the young boys tournament will began at the Road To Survivor Battle but due to scheduling issues the tourney will finally end in October at EXCITING BATTLE in Nagoya.
