  1. Hey guys, The delay in the diary is on me. I returned to work from the holidays and have been swamped. Aiming to get Raw Homecoming done this week, but may end up posting it on the weekend!
  2. Raw opens to still images from last night at Judgment Day focusing heavily on Chris Jericho vs Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Title. We see the finish that saw Jericho hook the ropes for leverage but special referee Stone Cold Steve Austin did not see it as Jericho defeated The Deadman. We cut into the arena and see Undertaker walking down a hallway pushing over equipment and yelling at staff to get out of his way as he makes his way toward the arena. The Deadman is pissed and he's apparently on his way out...welcome to Monday Night Raw. JUNE WEEK 1 AMERICAN AIRLINES ARENA DALLAS, TX Undertaker power walks down to the ring without music or fanfare. He walks over to the ringside area and orders Lillian Garcia to give him a microphone and she wisely does. Taker gets into the ring and paces around the ring before speaking Taker says that he has been through a lot after a decade of destruction in this damned business, but never before has Taker been as pissed off as he is right now. Last night at Judgment Day, Stone Cold Steve Austin screwed Taker out of the World Title and it was clear as day. Taker says that he does not give a damn what excuse Austin comes up with, it’s all bs. Austin went into that match last night with the intention of costing Taker the World Title and now his ass belongs to the Deadman. Taker says that this damn show will not happen until Austin gets out here and gets the ass kicking that he has coming to him…. The owner of Monday Night Raw, Ric Flair comes out to the ring and he is cautious as he enters the ring. Flair tells Taker to calm down because he is not letting this get out of hand. Taker tells Flair that he is not playing this game with him, he knows that Ric has had it out for Taker since the Deadman beat up Flair’s snot nosed brat of a kid, so send Austin out or this show will go to hel…. Austin comes running out to the ring and slides into the ring but before he can ever get to Taker, Flair is already in between Austin.. Flair says that this is not happening, Raw will not be taken over by Austin and The Undertaker. Now Stone Cold has told Ric Flair earlier tonight that he did not see Taker’s foot on the ropes and Flair is taking Austin at his word. But these two will not go to war tonight. Flair calls for police to run down and separate Taker and Austin as he tells them that later tonight, Flair will announce what he will do about the title situation. But before Flair can continue, Austin breaks free and Taker punches a cop and the two men are at each other. Wrestlers run down as Flair calls for help and orders us to go to commercial. Raw returns to a split screen of footage of “During the Break” where we see both Austin and Taker being surrounded and escorted out of separate sides of the arena. The World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho arrives in the middle of this and grins like a Cheshire Cat as he sees what his two adversaries are going through. VAL VENIS VS EDDIE GUERRERO A back and forth match for a bit that Eddie controls early, but then Val starts to fight into. The finish sees Chavo Guerrero show up to slip his uncle a chair and then distracts the ref and Eddie wallops Val before disposing of the evidence and nailing the Frog Splash for the pinfall. WINNER BY PINFALL: EDDIE GUERRERO After the match, Eddie and Chavo hug each other at ring side. Eddie shouts at the camera that La Familia has been formed. We go back to last night and see how Molly Holly became the new Women’s Champion. When we come back, the new Women’s Champion will appear on Raw. Raw returns to a commercial for WWE Bad Blood which airs in less than four weeks, Live and only on Pay-Per-View. The new Women’s Champion Molly Holly is at the Raw set to be interviewed about her win last night at Judgment Day. Instead of speaking, Molly keeps looking at her title like it is the holy grail while clutching her “Book of Molly” tight to her chest. Molly just says “purity always wins” before walking off without ever doing the interview. BOOKER T VS GOLDUST After a back and forth match, with near falls - Booker T nails the Book-End but Test comes out onto the ramp and Booker sees him and is distracted This allows Goldust to sneak up behind Book and hit the Curtain Call for the pinfall. WINNER BY PINFALL: GOLDUST After the match while Goldust is beaming over his triumphant victory over Booker, Test is backing up the ramp in smug satisfaction. Booker is furious at the loss. A promotional video for Kurt Angle airs showing the history in WWE of Olympic Gold Medalist including his win last night at Judgment Day. Your olympic hero has the week off, but never fear…. Kurt Angle will return to Raw soon. Raw returns to the darkened room that we have seen so often. A manic scream can be heard coming from seemingly everywhere and we can see furniture has been destroyed. A mirror lays shattered into a bunch of pieces but we see dark hair in its reflection just as the video ends BEAUTIFUL BOBBY EATON VS BROCK LESNAR W/PAUL HEYMAN Heyman watches with utter glee as his monster, the Next Big Thing just annihilates the legendary Bobby Eaton. Lesnar suplexes him nearly out of his own boots before powerbombing Bobby over and over again and then hitting the F5 for the decisive victory. WINNER BY PINFALL: BROCK LESNAR After the match, Paul Heyman screams at his client to show no mercy and do the F5 again. Brock eagerly complies and medical personnel come out to check on the condition of Eaton. Brock Lesnar’s path of destruction continues. We go back to earlier tonight where Ric Flair had to prevent a brawl between The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin. We are told that both men have been escorted out of the building and have left the arena area. Ric Flair will return to address us on Raw later tonight. A commercial for Raw’s Homecoming airs. Raw’s Homecoming is one week away and only on the USA Network! AL SNOW VS BILLY W/CHUCK Al fares well for a bit, but the constant distractions by Chuck eventually lead to the tide turning and soon, Snow eats the Fame Asser for the pinfall. WINNER BY PINFALL: BILLY After the match, Billy and Chuck beat up on the head trainer of Tough Enough until Matt & Jeff, The Hardy Boyz come running down to the ring and clear the ring. The brothers Hardy point at the World Tag Team Titles as they know that one day soon, they will get their shot having won last night at Judgment Day. In the back, William Regal is with Kevin Kelly and he talks about recently returning home and reconnecting with an old mate. Someone as nasty as Regal is a gentleman. And once they reconnected, Regal went to Mr. Flair and asked for his friend to get a job…and here he is. Regal introduces Sir. David Taylor to Raw and says that their goal is to bring dignity back to Raw and they’re starting with Mark Henry. We see Edge warming up. When we come back, he is in action against Mr. Perfect in our featured contest….next on Raw. Raw returns and we see JR & King at the announce booth. They hype the return of Raw to the USA Network and talk about the historic moments that have been on USA Network. JR & King say that they can’t wait to return home next week. MR. PERFECT VS EDGE This is a nice mix of styles and it is a fast paced Raw main event. Edge opens with the momentum and scores a couple of near falls on Mr. Perfect, but Edge misses a Spear and face plants into a turnbuckle as Raw goes to commercial. When Raw returns, Perfect dominates the young babyface, but is unable to put Edge down. After a few false comebacks, Perfect knees Edge in the head and goes for the Perfect Plex. But Edge goes dead weight and when Perfect tries to pick Edge up again, Edge back drops him and then nails the Spear for the 3 count. WINNER BY PINFALL: EDGE The owner of Monday Night Raw, Ric Flair is seen exiting his office and walking down the hallway with his best friend, Arn Anderson at his side. The two are in deep talks as it is clear that the boss is on his way out to the arena. The Nature Boy closes Raw...after this final time out. Raw returns with Ric Flair already in the ring. The Nature Boy says that he has a few announcements to make, but before he does...he would like to invite the Heavyweight Champion of the World, Chris Jericho to come out to the ring. Jericho does so playing to the crowd and acting cockily but there is confusion that clearly plays on the face of Y2J. Flair tells the World Champion to hang tight for a second, all will soon become clear. Flair says that he had hoped to have Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker out here tonight for this moment, but their actions earlier tonight has prevented that. So, he hopes both are watching right now from their hotel rooms because, while Flair believes that Stone Cold did not intentionally screw The Undertaker last night, it is clear that Taker does. Those two men have some bad blood and so now they must fight. In 27 days, live on Pay Per View from Columbus, Ohio it will be Stone Cold Steve Austin versus The Undertaker.........and the winner will receive a title match at the World Heavyweight Champion at the end of the summer at Summerslam!!!! But here is the part that Chris Jericho will care about. Ric says that nearly ten years ago, this program would debut on USA Network and change the course of professional wrestling history forever. USA Network had been the home of this program for seven years after that historic night...until the ego of Vince McMahon ruined it. Vince McMahon was promised the moon by Viacom, promises that never came to be by the way, and so he betrayed the trust of his friends at USA to run to Viacom and TNN. Hell, USA even tried to sue Vince because of it! When the WWE board decided that Raw and everything that is part of this company was to be owned by the Nature Boy, Flair immediately began to repair that relationship, which was quite easy to do once McMahon was out of the picture, and once it was repaired - Flair used the out clause in the contract with TNN to do a deal to bring Raw home!!! Next week, Monday Night Raw returns to the USA Network for Raw's Homecoming! And a night like that needs to be the biggest and best night that we can provide. Next week, the new Women's Champion Molly Holly will not "address" the audience, she will be competing as she makes her first title defense against...Jazz. Next week at Homecoming, the World Tag Team Champions Billy & Chuck will defend...against The APA and the winners of that match will meet the Hardy Boyz at Bad Blood. And now for our World Champion....Chris Jericho will not be defending the title on ppv in 4 weeks...because he will be in action much sooner. Next week at Raw Homecoming, it will be the World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho defending that title against..... Jericho interrupts the owner and aaks what loser has Flair drug out of a hole to be embarrassed by on national tv? What pathetic never was would even be stupid enough to face the best wrestler in the world today? Flair smiles, struts around and then decks Jericho in the chin before screaming...."THEEE NATURE BOYYYYYY, WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" Ric Flair bails from the ring and grabs onto the World Title celebrating with the fans before tossing it back into the ring at the champ. Jericho is rubbing his jaw in disbelief....Monday Night Raw is returning home next week for Homecoming and on that night will Ric Flair become the 17 time Heavyweight Champion of the world?!? Don't miss Raw's Homecoming, next week on USA!!!
  3. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!! Also, some news - I am returning to writing Raw starting with the next episode.
  4. Don't worry, I'm still around....I wouldn't do that to you guys 😛

After showing the path of Chris Jericho and Stone Cold Steve Austin, we now know that our Backlash main event is set: Jericho vs Austin for the World Heavyweight Championship. With Backlash only six days away, what will happen tonight on Monday Night Raw? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VTq5u3Arco4" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> <div style="color:rgb(215, 21, 21);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;text-align:center;"><div style="font:44px Roboto;"><b> APRIL WEEK 4, 2002 SAVVIS CENTER ST. Next to Flair is the Big Gold Belt in a glass case on a podium as Flair talks about the importance of this title to the history of the industry, but more important is the importance of this title to the future of Raw. It is no secret that when the WWE split into two distinct companies, it was done so out of necessity. Part of that necessity is the fact that Ric Flair and Vince McMahon could not coexist as Co-Owners of a solitary company. But the other is to create competition among these two companies so that the fans can be the ones that truly reap the benefits. And so that is why this title is so important to Raw. Flair says he is thrilled that the finals will feature arguably the greatest champion of all time, Stone Cold Steve Austin…and the man that beat Austin, twice, over the last four months…Chris Jericho. There are no two finer athletes to represent Raw. And one of these men, will hold what's inside this case in just six days but for Ric Flair and Raw? There can be no bigger match. And no bigger moment than this one for Raw. At Backlash, two of the greatest of all time will collide and it will be for the richest prize in this business. Two men will walk that aisle. But one will walk out….the man! Wooooooooo. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> JR and King put over the importance of that title and what will happen in six days. Don’t go anywhere, when Raw comes back - we kick off our in-ring action with Latino Heat after this time out. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns to a commercial for Backlash featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Chris Jericho WWE Backlash, a co-production of both the Raw and SmackDown companies, originates from the sold-out Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri and is live THIS SUNDAY and only on pay-per-view. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>AL SNOW VS EDDIE GUERRERO</b> Al tries to be competitive but this match is a highlight for Latino Heat. Eddie hits the 3 Amigos and eventually a Brainbuster and then the Frog Splash for the 3 count. WINNER BY PINFALL: EDDIE GUERRERO <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, Eddie cuts a promo on Edge and says that Edge is the golden boy around here…the one that Ric Flair has determined is the next face of Raw. But Eddie is a Guerrero! While Edge was at Wrestlemania 6 watching Hulk Hogan, Eddie Guerrero was already in the ring. Eddie Guerrero should be the face of Raw and Eddie is going to prove that this Sunday at Backl…. Eddie’s promo is cut off by a commotion from the audience as Edge rushes down through the fans and gets into the ring. Eddie is able to see Edge coming and gets out of the ring just as Edge touches him. Before Edge can react, Latino Heat is up on the stage while Edge yells at him from the ring. But there will be no place for Guerrero to run this Sunday on pay-per-view! <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back we see Trish Stratus and Lita both doing stretches. When we come back they will team with Jacqueline to take on Jazz, Molly Holly & Ivory after this time out. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns with another Goldust promo who promises that the time for waiting is nearly over. The glorious re-emergence will happen next week. And you will never forget the name…Goldust. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>TRISH STRATUS, LITA & JACQUELINE VS JAZZ, MOLLY HOLLY & IVORY</b> Stereotypical six woman Diva match. Jazz dominated Lita most of the match and then the heels double teamed Trish when she would get in until Jackie evened up the power differential and helped the babyfaces. The finish sees Trish nail the Chick Kick on Ivory while Lita and Jackie keep Molly and Jazz at bay for the 3 count. WINNER BY PINFALL: TRISH STRATUS, LITA, & JACQUELINE <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> We go back to Brock Lesnar’s attack on Booker T last week and Heyman’s subsequent challenge. When Raw returns, Booker will be on hand to answer the challenge from the Next Big Thing for this Sunday at Backlash after this time out. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns with a promo for Edge vs Eddie Guerrero. These two men, who promise to be the future of Raw, will collide this Sunday at Backlash. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Booker T comes out and he takes us back to last week and shows us how he got attacked by a Punk Ass Bitch in Brock Lesnar. Booker says that he is thankful because he’s been in this company for about a year and no one here really has seen the true Booker T. So Brock wants a fight this Sunday at Backlash? Brock wants to know if Booker will fight him? You’re Damn Skippy! But it will be on Booker T’s terms. So this Sunday, if Brock wants Booker…Come Get Some In a Street Fight. No rules, no excuses, man up or shut the hell up! Booker has accepted the challenge and we will now see Brock Lesnar’s in-ring debut this Sunday on ppv apparently in a Street Fight!! <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Backstage we see the APA in a very good mood, joking around but when they walk through the door to their office the jokes cease. The office has been redesigned. There’s a tablecloth and flowers on the table. The inside walls and door frame have been painted hot pink. Farooq and Bradshaw are speechless, looking around until Bradshaw finds a card on the table. “Designs by Rico……” Farooq looks like he could explode but he holds it in for a few moments. “………DAMN!” JR and King are like oh God does Billy and Chuck know what they just did? <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> JR and King take us back to last week where it appeared that the Hardy’s were having a miscommunication. When we come back, Jeff Hardy is in action on Monday Night Raw. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns and we see video from earlier tonight that shows Latino Heat Eddie Guerrero running through the back locker room area to the parking lot. He jumps in a car and drives off just before Edge jumps into the camera frame and nearly catches the car. Edge screams in frustration but there will be no running for Eddie Guerrero this Sunday. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>MR. PERFECT VS JEFF HARDY</b> Jeff and Perfect have a back and forth that goes through a commercial break and is even until the commercial break. When Raw returns, Matt Hardy is down in Jeff’s corner and Perfect has taken control and scores several near falls. When Jeff begins his comeback, Perfect does a rake to the eyes of Jeff but the ref misses it and Matt gets on the rope and argues with the ref. Because the ref is with Matt, he misses Jeff roll Perfect up in a victory roll. When Jeff goes for the Twist of Fate, Perfect reverses into the Perfect-Plex for the pinfall. WINNER BY PINFALL: MR. PERFECT <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, Matt Hardy pleads his case to his brother and apologies for costing Jeff the match. Jeff is annoyed but eventually hugs his brother and the two walk up the ramp talking things through. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> We go to the back and see Ric Flair in his office going over some papers with Arn Anderson. Suddenly Chavo Guerrero comes into Flair’s office and says that he would like an opportunity to earn a contract with Raw. Flair says that he remembers Chavo from their WCW days and asks him if he’s ready to compete right now. Chavo says that he is…Flair says for Chavo to head to the ring because when we come back, he will be in action against William Regal..next. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns to a video vignette of a person in a dark room. We never see their features and cannot even make out their gender but they can be seen rocking themselves back and forth while eerie music plays. The video suddenly cuts out. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>CHAVO GUERRERO VS WILLIAM REGAL</b> The story of this match centers around the obvious experience advantage of William Regal and Regal taking Chavo lightly. When Regal does an arrogant cover after a T-Bone Suplex, for example, Chavo rolls Regal into a cradle and nearly beats the Brit. After Regal is backdropped, Chavo even has a few minutes of promise where he is able to get a close two count on Regal following a Spicolli Driver. When Chavo jumps off the top rope and Regal ducks which causes Chavo to wrench his knee, that is all Regal needs to take control back and eventually lock in the Regal Stretch for a submission victory. WINNER BY SUBMISSION: WILLIAM REGAL <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, Regal celebrates his win as Ric Flair and Arn Anderson come up onto the stage. Arn whispers in Flair’s ear and Flair nods before the two walk away with a smile. Has Chavo done enough to earn a spot on Raw? <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> When we come back Mark Henry will have his toughest challenge yet when the World’s Strongest Man faces The Undertaker. It’s Raw’s main event and it’s next. ========== Final Commercial Break ========== <b>MARK HENRY VS UNDERTAKER</b> Early in this match, Taker wants to test Henry and has the World’s Strongest Man throw some punches to Taker to prove his toughness. After rocking the Deadman, the veteran starts laying into Henry with stiff shots in the corner and soon the two men are brawling on the floor and in the ring. Henry drops Taker with a strong Lariat and starts using his strength to throw Undertaker around the ring. Henry seems to be finding a mean streak as he splashes Taker in a corner and drops a knee directly onto the back of the Deadman before going to the second rope and missing with a splash. From there, Taker starts firing off Haymakers and eventually drops Henry with a big boot for a two count. Undertaker hits Old School and calls for the Last Ride but when he tries to lift Henry up, Henry drops to dead weight and then drops Taker with another big Lariat. Henry elbow drops Taker on his back and nails the World’s Strongest Slam!!! 1…. 2…. Taker barely kicks out. After some more punishment, Henry throws Taker into a corner and charges for a splash…..and misses it. Undertaker moves out of the way and bounces off the ropes and kicks Henry dead in the face. Henry staggers around right into the CHOKESLAM!!!! 1….2…..3. What a fight!! After the match, the Undertaker points down at Mark Henry and nods in a sign of respect before getting on his motorcycle. The Deadman was in a fight and he knows it. WINNER BY PINFALL: UNDERTAKER <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back we go to Ric Flair’s office where Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Jericho are on opposite sides of the room with Flair and security separating them. Flair looks at both of them and says that this Sunday, they will meet face to face for this belt…and Flair shows both men the World Heavyweight Championship. Both men look down at it and their desire to hold the belt is clearly evident on their faces. Flair looks at both men and says that they will not touch before Sunday but he brought them here to tell them both to their faces, like the men that they are. This Sunday at Backlash the whole world will be watching their match for the richest prize in sports….The World Heavyweight Title. Flair says that for 16 glorious times, he walked the aisle wearing this title around his waist and he did it by being the very best and by having epic moments after epic moments. In six days, we will find out which of you…Stone Cold Steve Austin or Chris Jericho…are truly the best in the entire world. Ric Flair says that he is ordering them, not as the owner of Raw, but as the greatest to ever do this job, to walk into the Kemper Arena at Backlash and go out there as men and tear the house down. Pour their hearts out, their blood, their sweat, their tears…pay the price of a lifetime and the best of these two men will wear the ultimate prize. That is what needs to happen this Sunday and by God they better deliver because if they do not, the only ones that will live to regret it will be Chris Jericho and Steve Austin. Flair orders the two challengers to meet him now and both lay hands on the World Title before Flair orders them to shake each other’s hands. Austin and Jericho’s eyes never leave each other, the tension palpable in the air, as they follow the orders of the greatest of all time. The match is set, the moment is near, and there is nothing left to say. Who will be the Heavyweight Champion of the World? Find out this Sunday on pay-per-view!!!! Good night from St. Louis. <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Slab&display=swap" rel="stylesheet"> <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans&display=swap" rel="stylesheet"> <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto&display=swap" rel="stylesheet">
  7. You won't have to wait much longer - I will be posting tomorrow. The angles are written, I just have to do the matches and format.
  8. Raw will def be this week (aiming Tuesday or Wednesday). My apologies for the delay - my schedule has been very busy. And thank you to my partner in crime in this for his patience.
  9. How did I KNOW when I heard I made that boo boo that it would be you that recognized it? 😛

We see how Kurt Angle, Edge, Chris Jericho and Stone Cold Steve Austin each win their matches. The video then shows us the ending of Raw where Kurt Angle blasted Stone Cold in the head with a chair ahead of their Semi-Final match tonight. Tonight Edge will face Chris Jericho. Tonight Kurt Angle will face Stone Cold Steve Austin. Who will be the final two men that will challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash? We’re about to find out. Welcome to Monday Night Raw. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VTq5u3Arco4" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> <div style="color:rgb(215, 21, 21);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;text-align:center;"><div style="font:44px Roboto;"><b> APRIL WEEK 3, 2002 COMPAQ CENTER HOUSTON, TEXAS</b></div> <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:20px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto Slab;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;"> JR and King welcome us to the Raw from the Compaq Center in Houston, Texas. We are just 13 days away from Backlash from the sold out Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri and the question that looms over all of us is: who will be the two men that will headline Backlash to try to become the World Heavyweight Champion? Tonight we will find out that answer. But first we go to the ring to kick off Raw with a 3 way dance between some of the best tag teams in the world. The winner is the #1 contender for the World Tag Team Championship. Let’s go to the ring and kick things off on what should be an explosive night of Raw. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES #1 CONTENDER’S MATCH DUDLEY BOYZ VS APA VS HARDY BOYZ </b> As expected this is a wild match that kicks Raw off hot and spans two commercial breaks. There are three acts to this story, in the first the Dudleyz and APA take their turns beating down the Hardyz. In the second, Dudleyz and APA turn on each other and that allows Team Extreme to begin their comeback and nearly win the match. Finally the Dudleyz and the Hardyz go to war and Matt and Jeff prepare to put D-Von down but when Jeff tries to leap off of Matt for Poetry in Motion, Matt crumbles to the mat, his arm slipping. Jeff instead crashes into the corner which allows Bubba and D-Von to do 3D on Matt. But as soon as they stand up, D-Von is pulled from the ring by Farooq and Bubba is blasted with the Clothesline from Hell by Bradshaw for the pinfall. WINNERS BY PINFALL AND WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDERS: APA <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, the Dudleys look angry that they’ve lost as Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy stare at each other following their apparent miscommunication while Matt says that his arm slipped. APA are buoyant, though, as they are the new contenders for the Tag Titles. Billy & Chuck w/Rico come out to the stage while Farooq and Bradshaw celebrate and the two teams catch each other's eyes. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Kevin Kelly is backstage with Chris Jericho who bemoans being cheated out of the Universal Title at Wrestlemania and blames it on being distracted by Stephanie McMahon’s bs. But now she’s gone and he’s focused and the Highlight of the Night, Chris Jericho will beat Edge’s ass tonight and in 13 days…he will become the World Heavyweight Champion. It’s his destiny because Chris Jericho….is the King of the World. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns from commercial break and we see chaos. Stone Cold Steve Austin is trying to attack Kurt Angle and he is being separated by Raw officials. Ric Flair runs up to Austin and shouts at Steve telling Stone Cold that he cannot behave this way. Ric Flair kicks Austin out of the arena and tells him that he is not welcomed back until it’s time for his match. And if Austin breaks that rule tonight….he will be removed from the match and Kurt Angle will go to Backlash on a bye. Austin looks like he is going to strike Ric Flair but cooler heads prevail and Austin voluntarily leaves the building while Kurt Angle smirks. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>AL SNOW VS BOOKER T</b> This match is mostly to highlight Booker T and, while Al gets in some offense, Booker largely dominates the match. After trading a couple pinfall attempts, Booker nails a Spinebuster, the Spinaroonie and then the Ax Kick for the pinfall. WINNER BY PINFALL: BOOKER T <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, while Booker is celebrating, Paul Heyman suddenly gets onto the ring apron yelling at Booker. Booker is confused and goes over to Heyman and doesn’t see… Brock Lesnar sneaks in to blindside Booker from behind. Lesnar throws Booker into a corner and wails on him but the former WCW Champion battles out of the corner but is grabbed by Lesnar and launched across the ring via a Belly to Belly Suplex. From there, the Next Big Thing Powerbombs Booker not once, not twice but three times until Book is a broken heap in the ring. Officials race down to the ring as Heyman pulls his monster away. Booker T has been targeted by the Next Big Thing but the question is why? Stay with us, Raw will be back after a quick time out. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns with a commercial for WWE Backlash centered around the World Heavyweight Championship. Backlash will be the first pay-per-view of this new era and will be co-presented by the Raw and SmackDown companies and will be headlined by the World Heavyweight Championship match. WWE Backlash will air in 13 days, Sunday night Week 4 in April from the sold out Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri exclusively on pay-per-view. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> JR and King take us back to “during the break” where we see Booker T helped out of the ring by WWE officials including the Owner of Raw, Ric Flair. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Kevin Kelly rushes up to Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar who are leaving the arena. Kelly demands to know why they have targeted Booker T and Paul says that it’s simple…Booker is a former World Champion. And the next big attraction in Sports-Entertainment, indeed the Next Big Thing..Brock Lesnar... wants to make an impact here on Raw. So who is better than a man who once carried the same belt that we will soon crown as our World Heavyweight Champion here on Raw? And if Booker has a problem with that….Brock Lesnar will be in the ring at Backlash. Booker can do something about it then because the measuring stick just changed around here. Heyman and Lesnar push Kelly aside and enter their vehicle and drive off. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL MATCH EDGE VS CHRIS JERICHO</b> Jericho tries all of the underhanded tactics that he can think of but Edge has a counter for them all. When Jericho tries to use a foot on the ropes in a pinfall, Edge rakes his eyes and the ref doesn’t see it. After a while it is clear that Edge is heading toward finishing this match as he nails Jericho with the Edgecution. Edge goes into a corner to hit the Spear but Jericho steps just an inch behind the ref and is able to nudge him into taking the Spear. With the ref down, Jericho hits a back elbow to the head and then goes for a chair. Jericho brings it into the ring and swings but Edge ducks…..SPEAR!!!! Edge has nailed Jericho but the ref is down. All of a sudden the crowd stands to their feet because Eddie Guerrero is in the ring and he has the chair. Edge turns around….*CRACK*...Guerrero swings for the fences and turns Edge’s lights out. Jericho crawls to a cover as Eddie wakes up the ref…..1…..2……3. WINNER BY PINFALL AND HEADING TO BACKLASH: CHRIS JERICHO <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, Chris Jericho bails from the ring celebrating while Eddie Guerrero begins an assault on Edge. Eventually Eddie joins Chris Jericho and shakes the hand of the former Undisputed Champion. Chris Jericho is going to Backlash to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship and Edge is not…all thanks to Latino Heat. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back The Undertaker is posing for a WWE Magazine photo shoot for Judgment Day next month. As he is doing so, Mark Henry walks up to Taker. Henry says that for six years around here, he has been trying to prove that he belongs. And for those six years, and for the five years before that, The Undertaker has been dominating this industry. Henry says that he respects The Undertaker…but he knows that he can beat him. So Henry is coming to Taker, like a man, and challenging him to a match next week on Raw. Undertaker takes off his sunglasses and looks like he is going to fight, but instead Taker sizes Henry up and says “you’ve got some balls on you, I can respect that. You’re on.” The Undertaker may be facing the World Heavyweight Champion at Judgment Day, but he has a date with the World’s Strongest Man next week on Raw! And we’re coming back right after this. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns to Goldust seen laying in a floating bed in a pool with a mansion in the background.. Goldust says that his comeback is almost complete. His resurgence, his reboot is drawing near. In two weeks the world will witness the biggest return in Sports-Entertainment history and Raw will never be the same. The world should get ready for it will never forget the name of…..Goldust. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>MOLLY HOLLY W/JAZZ VS LITA W/TRISH STRATUS</b> Just as this match begins, JR and King tell us that on the Sunday Night Heat at Backlash, Trish Stratus & Lita will team together against Molly Holly and the Women’s Champion Jazz The earliest part of the match sees Lita with an aerial flourish that nearly beats Molly early in the match. Molly gains control when she rolls out of the way of a Litasault and starts using a more ground and pound approach. Molly scores several near falls before Lita begins a comeback. That is when Jazz throws her title to Molly before rubbing up behind Trish and pushing her into the ringpost. While Lita and the ref are distracted by Jazz and Trish, Molly blasts Lita from behind with the Women’s Title before throwing it to the floor and rolls Lita up for the 3 count. WINNER BY PINFALL: MOLLY HOLLY <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, Molly and Jazz high tail it out of there having stolen this match but they will have to pay the price for their treachery in 13 days. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back Kurt Angle is seen warming up. Ric Flair walks into his locker room and Angle thanks him for keeping that menace Stone Cold Steve Austin out of the arena tonight. Flair says that he was just preserving his main event. But Stone Cold is now back in the building… oh and the main event? It’s now a No Disqualification match. Kurt Angle looks like he is about to throw up. Who will be the man that meets Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash? We’re about to find out….next. ========== Final Commercial Break ========== JR & King welcome us back and tell us that after what has happened here tonight, Raw Owner Ric Flair has booked Edge vs Eddie Guerrero at Backlash. We are told that Booker T will be on Raw next week to answer what Brock Lesnar did to him here tonight. And we are reminded that next week The Undertaker will face Mark Henry. But it’s main event time and it is now No Disqualification. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL MATCH - NO DISQUALIFICATION KURT ANGLE VS STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN</b> As soon as the bell rings, Austin is on Angle just wailing away before Kurt kicks Austin low to bail to the floor. Stone Cold recovers and then he and Angle brawl into the audience all the way up to a concession area. Austin shoves hot popcorn in Angle’s face and tries to dump hot cheese on Angle’s face but the Olympic Champion dodges it. The two brawl into a bathroom before making their raw back down toward ringside where Angle wallops Austin with a Kendo Stick and takes control. In the ring, Kurt scores with an Angle Slam for a two count and slams Austin’s ankle in between a chair. Finally Kurt is able to lock in the Ankle Lock…… Austin crawls to ropes and holds on but it’s No Disqualification. At the last moment, Austin is able to roll onto his back and pull Kurt into a Small Package…1….2….Angle kicks out. Angle is able to bring stairs into the ring but when he charges, Austin does a Drop Toe Hold and Kurt lands face first into the steps. *CRACK*!!! Austin wallops Angle in the head with a Kendo Stick of his own. Angle stumbles into an ANGLE SLAM by Austin. 1….. 2…… Angle kicks out. Austin is poised and waiting and strikes - Stone Cold Stunner!!!!! 1….. 2….. 3. WINNER BY PINFALL AND HEADING TO BACKLASH: STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> My God what a fight this was! Kurt Angle has nothing to be ashamed of but it was not to be. Stone Cold Steve Austin walked into Raw to kick a man’s ass and he did just that and now Stone Cold will meet Chris Jericho at Backlash for the World Heavyweight Championship!!! As Stone Cold Steve Austin drinks beer to celebrate his triumph, we see Jericho in the back looking at the monitor with hatred and intensity in his eyes. Stone Cold and Chris Jericho have a date with destiny in 13 days on pay-per-view. What a match that will be. Good night from Houston!!! <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Slab&display=swap" rel="stylesheet"> <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans&display=swap" rel="stylesheet"> <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto&display=swap" rel="stylesheet">

It centers around Stone Cold Steve Austin’s evening that began with a demand for his wife to be freed from SmackDown, learning that it cannot happen, Kurt Angle’s insult of her and Austin’s attack and its aftermath. The recap then goes to Ric Flair announcing the restoration of the World Heavyweight Championship as the world title for the Raw organization and the 8 man tournament that will conclude at Backlash. From there the recap goes to Mr. Perfect vs Edge in the main event on Raw for the final spot in the tournament, Edge winning, his celebration and then attack by the returning Eddie Guerrero. Tonight the World Heavyweight Championship tournament begins!!! Welcome to Monday Night Raw. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VTq5u3Arco4" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> <div style="color:rgb(215, 21, 21);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;text-align:center;"><div style="font:44px Roboto;"><b> APRIL WEEK 2, 2002 AMERICA WEST ARENA PHOENIX, ARIZONA</b></div> <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:20px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto Slab;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;"> JR & King ask us if we’re ready for Raw? The World Title tournament begins tonight and in our featured match, Stone Cold Steve Austin will take on William Regal. Eddie Guerrero is in the house tonight and he will address his return to WWE and why he has targeted Edge. Mighty Molly will address why she walked away from Trish Stratus last week but we kick things off with the first match in the tournament to crown THE World Heavyweight Champion at Backlash. And that match is between Matt Hardy and the first ever Undisputed Champion…Chris Jericho. Let’s go to the ring. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <iframe width="400" height="215" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/x7NhPcRcT9U" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> <b>WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ONE MATT HARDY VS CHRIS JERICHO</b> Matt explodes like a house of fire and early in the match, Chris looks to be in peril. But when Matt goes for a Leg Drop from the 2nd rope, Jericho kicks the ropes and Matt falls to the mat, wrenching his knee in the process. That ends Hardy’s offense and after some kick outs, Jericho locks Matt into the Walls and Hardy is forced to submit. WINNER BY SUBMISSION: CHRIS JERICHO <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Chris Jericho celebrates his win but it is clear that he is still pissed off that he lost to Triple H at Wrestlemania. Jericho looks into the camera and promises to get the World Heavyweight Title at Backlash. And Jericho is now one step forward in that goal as he moves on to the semi-finals next week on Raw and will take on the winner of Booker T vs Edge which is still to come in this broadcast. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back The Undertaker is seen storming into Ric Flair’s office. The demon of Death Valley looks pissed. What could he want with our owner? ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns inside Ric Flair’s office where The Undertaker is throwing things around but Flair is not in there. Flair eventually walks into his destroyed office going over some papers and sees the destruction and asks Taker what the hell his problem is? Taker tells Flair that he knows that Flair intentionally left him out of this World Title tournament and he knows why. It’s because The Undertaker embarrassed his ass at Wrestlemania. The Undertaker accuses Ric Flair of drafting him to Raw just to embarrass Taker and warns Flair that he would not be messed with. Flair tells him that he needs to stop being so paranoid and wake up. Flair says “do you think I would go through the headache of drafting you and the expense of assuming your contract just to waste your talent? You kicked my ass at Wrestlemania…like a man…and you proved that you should be and will be one of the top draws for Raw.” Flair goes on to explain that the reason Taker is not in this tournament is because Flair had a much bigger strategy at mind. Flair hands the Undertaker what he says is the final approved artwork for WWE Judgment Day next month in Nashville, Tennessee. And it features The Undertaker. Why? Because Undertaker will be in the featured match for Raw. Against the new World Heavyweight Champion in his first title defense. That is Raw’s main event for Judgment Day next month on pay-per-view….and it will stay that way unless The Undertaker does something stupid. Flair tells Taker to get out of his office and Taker takes the artwork, slaps it in his hand and against the chest of Flair with a smirk before walking out. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH LITA VS JAZZ</b> these two engage in a drama filled encounter with bear falls and a commercial break in between. When Raw returns from commercial, Lita is in control and scores a Lita-sault for a 2 count. Jazz starts to battle back but Lita cuts her off with a Twist of Fate. When Lita covers, Jazz grabs her and throws her to the floor. On the floor, Jazz realizes that she is best and nails Lita with the Women’s Title in clear view of the ref who calls for the bell. WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: LITA <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match Jazz continues her attack on Lita until Trish Stratus runs down to help her friend out. Lita and Trish start fending off the Women’s Champion until… Mighty Molly in dark hair, white top and black pants comes out. She blasts Trish from behind and is on Stratus before Lita even can react. When Lita goes to help Trish, Jazz blasts Lita with the Women’s Title in the back of the head. Molly looks down at Trish and Lita and grabs a microphone. She says that these two are the epitome of all that is wrong with professional wrestling and indeed the world these days. You people should be worshiping people like Jazz…a real athlete who got here through hard work and dedication to her craft. And people like Molly….who is not some stupid cartoon superhero but instead an honest, chaste woman who is a trained wrestler and is tired of playing games. Mighty Molly is dead and in her place is Molly Holly, a fighter. Molly says that Trish and Lita are WWE Divas as if that is something to aspire to, but Molly and Jazz are the anti-Divas. And they won’t rest until they remake women’s wrestling in their image…starting with Trish Stratus and Lita. The two walk off as it is clear that a dangerous union has been formed and clearly the women of WWE now have targets on their backs. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back Kevin Kelly is with Paul Heyman who introduces the world to his client…the Next Big Thing Brock Lesnar. We get a quick package of Lesnar’s various attacks before being drafted to Raw. Lesnar is lifting a lighting truss as a workout as Paul Heyman says that Brock Lesnar is not only the next big thing..he’s the next big attraction in Sports-Entertainment. Because Brock Lesnar is money. Big box office money. Brock Lesnar is the former NCAA Division I Heavyweight Champion for a reason. And Brock Lesnar left WWE’s farm league and demanded to be on Monday Night Raw for a reason. And that is to draw money for Monday Night Raw and to make money from Monday Night Raw. So you won’t be seeing Brock Lesnar in meaningless matches on Raw…that would be a waste of his talents. No, no…if you want to see Brock Lesnar compete, you’ll have to pay for it. Like at Backlash when Brock Lesnar will make his in-ring WWE debut. Against whom you ask? You’ll find out next week. Lesnar throws the equipment away like it’s nothing as he and Kelly walk off. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back Kurt Angle is warming up sporting a black eye. Our Olympic Hero will compete in the World Heavyweight Title tournament against the charismatic Jeff Hardy…next on Raw. WWE Backlash will air on Sunday night Week 4 in April from the sold out Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri exclusively on pay-per-view. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ONE JEFF HARDY VS KURT ANGLE</b> Kurt Angle tries to out high fly Jeff for a portion of this match who in turn tries to mat wrestle Kurt. The two trade near falls and Jeff is put over big by both Angle and the announcers. The finish sees Jeff get close and go for the Swanton but miss and crash and burn. Kurt then rolls Jeff up and hooks the ropes with his right hand to get the cheap victory and advance on. Eddie grabs a microphone and says that the reason he returned to WWE is the person that he attacked last week…Edge. Everyone around here knows that Edge is being positioned as the future of this company when it should be Latino Heat. Eddie talks about how a year ago everything was taken from him and he watched this pretty boy step into the role that belongs to Eddie Guerrero. So now he is here to take it from him. And Eddie says that he hopes that Edge wins the World Heavyweight Championship because that will make Eddie’s revenge much sweeter when he ruins Edge’s dream. Eddie then goes over to a chair that is waiting near ringside. Apparently Eddie Guerrero will watch this match from ringside. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ONE EDGE VS BOOKER T</b> JR & King bring up the recent history between Edge and Booker including their match at Wrestlemania. Booker dominates early and that makes Eddie celebrate. Booker goes for the Axe Kick near the ropes and Edge catches his leg and backdrops Booker to the floor. On the floor, both men brawl near Eddie and the ref warns Eddie to stand back, which he does. After some brawling on the floor and a couple near falls in the ring, Booker goes for the Book-End but Edge backdrops him instead. When Booker stands Edge explodes out of a corner for the Spear!!! He covers and Eddie Guerrero is forced to watch as Edge wins the match and is moving on to the Semi-Finals. WINNER BY PINFALL: EDGE <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, Edge celebrates and rubs it in Eddie Guerrero’s face. Next week on Raw, Edge will face Chris Jericho in the Semi-Finals of the World Heavyweight Championship Tournament. Eddie backs away with a look of disgust on Edge who is still celebrating. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Kevin Kelly is in the back with William Regal. Regal says that this is the highest honor that he could possibly have. The chance to defeat the face of this industry and to move on in the World Heavyweight Title tournament? Regal is thrilled for this moment and this opportunity and he will make the most of it because all it takes…is the Power of the Punch. Ladies and gentlemen, our main event is next after this time out. ========== Final Commercial Break ========== <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Raw returns to Ric Flair in his office and announces that next week on Raw the Dudley Boyz, the Hardy Boyz and the APA will face each other in a three way dance to determine the new #1 Contenders for the World Tag Team Titles. Now let's go to the ring for the main event. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT ROUND ONE WILLIAM REGAL VS STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN</b> The story of this match is Austin being enraged and needing to hurt someone so he takes it out on Regal. And it looks like Austin will end it early until Austin charges Regal on the floor but Regal sidesteps him and Austin collides with the ring steps. In the ring, Regal starts working on Austin’s well documented neck injury in preparation for the Regal Stretch which he finally locks in but Austin makes it to the ropes. When Austin begins his comeback, Regal pulls the ref in between the two men which allows Regal to put on the Brass Knucks. Regal prepares to hit the “Power of the Punch” but Austin ducks and STUNNER!!!!! Stone Cold covers…. 1…. 2…. 3! WINNER BY PINFALL: STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD is moving on!!!! JR is in hype mode as Stone Cold Steve Austin has punched his ticket to the Semi-Finals against Kurt Angle next week on Raw. While Austin celebrates, Kurt Angle comes racing down with a chair and cracks Austin in the head when Austin turns around. Angle nails Austin with the chair again and again before doing the Angle slam. Instead of Stone Cold celebrating, it is Kurt Angle who has a measure of retribution from Austin’s attack last week and his point is now made. Kurt Angle versus Stone Cold Steve Austin will take place next week in the Semifinals but how in the world can Stone Cold possibly be at 100%? Is it now Kurt Angle and not Stone Cold Steve Austin that is the favorite to head to Backlash?!?
