Ric then tells us that with WWE splitting into two separate companies, there is a void at the top of Raw. Now Triple H made the mistake of his life in signing with Vince McMahon and taking the WWE Title with him, there is nothing Ric Flair can do about that. But there is something that Ric Flair can do for you fans of Raw and our superstars. And that is what he will do later tonight. JR & King are sitting up on a platform near the stage and we are told that this will be the new location for the Raw announce team. It is indeed a new era for Monday Night Raw, Vince McMahon is gone (thank God JR says) and that means new opportunities for the superstars of Raw. Ric Flair has already announced that the World Tag Team Champions will be in action tonight as well as one of Raw's brightest young stars, Edge. But Stone Cold Steve Austin will also be here and the Undertaker will also be in action. But we kick things off with...King yells "PUPPIES" as we throw to the first match...a diva tag team match. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>TRISH STRATUS & MIGHTY MOLLY VS JAZZ & IVORY</b> This match is slightly more physical than the typical diva match and it sees Trish getting a lot of time in the ring in the babyface peril spot. After both Jazz and Ivory take their time with Trish, Trish is able to DDT Ivory and crawl to Molly for the hot tag. Instead Molly refuses to make the hot tag and steps down from the ring as Jazz comes in and grabs Trish from behind, lifts her up and drops her face first. Jazz covers and gets the pinfall. WINNERS BY PINFALL: JAZZ & IVORY <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, Molly throws off her Mighty Molly headband and walks up the ramp while Jazz and Ivory celebrate. Trish rolls around in pain while JR and King wonder what the hell has gotten into Mighty Molly. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back we see Stone Cold Steve Austin storm into the arena. He looks ready to kill someone as he goes down the hall and people scamper off. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns and Stone Cold has entered the office of the owner of Raw, Ric Flair. Austin demands to know how the hell his wife could end up working for Vince McMahon and SmackDown. Ric tells him that since Debra is a contracted talent, she was eligible and the Nature Boy then apologizes for not guessing that Vince McMahon would stoop low enough to do that to Austin. Austin demands to know what Flair is going to do about it and Ric tells him that unfortunately, and Ric was talking to the Board of Directors all weekend long about this, but there is nothing that can be done. Until her contract with SmackDown expires, Debra is the property of Vince McMahon’s company. Austin is fuming and looks like he is going to take Flair’s head off before punching Flair’s door and storming out of Ric’s locker room. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>KURT ANGLE VS MARK HENRY</b> Mark Henry makes his Raw debut and his return from his absence in this match and gets a nice cheer from the crowd. Angle doesn’t take Henry seriously at first until Mark throws Kurt into a corner and drops a meaty forearm right on Angle’s chest. From there both men, skilled at different things…Kurt with mat wrestling and Mark with his power, engage in a contest of whose expertise can win out. Henry splashes Kurt off the 2nd rope and gets a close two before Angle is able to get his foot on the ropes. When Kurt goes for the Ankle Lock, Henry uses his powerful base to launch Angle into the corner. Henry charges for a splash but Kurt ducks out of the way and Henry collides chest first into the corner. Henry staggers back into the Angle Slam!!! 1… 2…. 3. WINNER BY PINFALL: KURT ANGLE <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match Angle gets on the mic and bemoans being here on Raw. He says that Vince McMahon promised him that Angle would be drafted to SmackDown but instead he is stuck here and people like “that dumb bimbo Debra” is on SmackDown. It’s not fair. But as he did when he won an Olympic gold medal with a broken freakin neck, Kurt Angle will make lemonade out of lemons and make Raw his company. Kurt Angle is focused and he will become the headliner around here, Oh It’s True…It’s Damned True. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back we see The Undertaker shadow boxing. When Raw comes back, the bully from Death Valley will be in action on Raw. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns with a commercial for WWE Backlash. Backlash will be the first pay-per-view of this new era and will be co-presented by the Raw and SmackDown companies. Backlash will air on Sunday night Week 4 in April from the sold out Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri exclusively on pay-per-view. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back chaos reigns as a camera man rushes up the hallway to get what is happening on camera. We see wrestlers surrounding a fight and when the camera breaks through, Stone Cold Steve Austin is assaulting Kurt Angle. Austin is swinging his fists left and right and yelling “dumb bimbo? That’s my wife.” When Austin goes for Angle’s throat suddenly, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson and Raw officials are able to break through the wrestlers and drag Austin off Angle. Austin shoves everyone away and storms off. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>THE UNDERTAKER VS AL SNOW</b> Al fares pretty well from what we would anticipate in this match as he takes a beating but kicks out of several pinfall attempts which clearly frustrates the Undertaker. Al even begins a comeback until the ref gets his eye poked by accident and Taker does a low blow kick to Al before nailing the Last Ride for the 3 count. WINNER BY PINFALL: THE UNDERTAKER <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> After the match, The Undertaker delivers another Last Ride Powerbomb to Al Snow and tells Al “that is because you brought that punk Maven into WWE”. Taker then throws his fist in the air and walks off. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back we see The Hollys warming up and then a split screen where World Tag Team Champions Billy & Chuck are giving each other shoulder rubs to get loose. The World Tag Team Titles are on the line…next on Raw. ========== Commercial Break ========== Goldust is seen in a backlot in Hollywood. He talks about how the world premiere of the sequel has not been all that was planned, so now it is time to reset, refocus and find that sparkle and the motivation to be the shining light of Monday Night Raw. Soon the reboot will be complete and the world will never forget the name of…..Goldust. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> In the back Ric Flair is in Austin’s dressing room and says that he cannot be attacking anyone like he just did with Kurt Angle. Flair says he understands Austin’s anger but this cannot happen again. Flair says knows that Austin needs to get his aggression out, so Austin should watch Flair’s segment after this next match. Because Austin will get his wish. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP THE HOLLY’S VS BILLY & CHUCK</b> Hardcore Holly in particular beats the tar out of the champions for a decent part of the match but B&C survive the barrage and isolate Crash. After some near falls Crash is able to tag in his cousin who cleans house until Rico gets on the corner and distracts Hardcore. Chuck throws the tag belts into Billy who nails Hardcore and then covers for the successful title defense. WINNERS BY PINFALL & STILL WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: BILLY & CHUCK <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> As Billy & Chuck celebrate, the APA rush down the ramp and attack the champs from behind. Bradshaw and Farooq try to get their hands on the champs some more but B&C run from the ring. APA has declared that they want the tag team titles! <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Backstage Edge is with Kevin Kelly who asks him about being in the main event tonight against Mr. Perfect. Edge says that if you had told him even a year ago that he would be in the main event of Raw in a singles match, Edge would not have believed it. But to be against someone that Edge watched when he was a child? This is the opportunity of a lifetime and Edge will make the most of it. Tonight, Edge proves that Mr. Perfect may indeed be perfect….but Edge is better. ========== Commercial Break ========== Raw returns with a highlight video of Chris Jericho. Flair says that he is glad that the Chris Jericho promo that just aired did so now because Chris Jericho pertains to what Flair is in the ring to announce. It is true that Triple H, the Undisputed WWE Champion, had a choice on where to sign and he made the biggest mistake of his life in choosing Vince McMahon and SmackDown. A mistake that, in knowing McMahon, the Game will come to regret. But that was his choice and he made his bed and now he will have to lie in it. There is nothing that Ric Flair can do about the WWE Title not being on Raw, but no one says that Raw cannot create our own World Championship. And that is what is going to happen. Flair removes the item from the bag and it’s the Big Gold Belt Flair says that this championship title goes back a hundred years. It predates the WWE itself and it has always been THE title in professional wrestling. This is the very title that Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, Sting, Luger, Hulk Hogan, Ricky Steamboat and, yes…Ric Flair held so proudly and so often. And from here on out, it’s glory shall be restored because this is THE World Heavyweight Championship and it will be the richest prize on Raw and in the industry once more. So how do we get to a champion? That all begins next week on Raw. Ric says that 8 men will be chosen by the end of this night and those 8 men will wrestle in four matches next week. Two weeks from tonight, the semi-finals will occur and the two men who make it to the finals will main event Backlash from the Kemper Arena in just under four weeks live on pay-per-view. So who are the men? Well 7 of them will be announced right now. Next week on Raw…Stone Cold Steve Austin will face William Regal. Kurt Angle will face Jeff Hardy. Chris Jericho will face Jeff Hardy’s brother Matt. That is 6 of the 8 men. The 7th is Booker T who will face the winner of tonight’s main event between Mr. Perfect and Edge. They put over the history of the World Heavyweight Championship and how prestigious it is that it will become the official championship of Raw. They put over the beginning of the World Heavyweight Championship tournament next week on Raw with the matches already announced. They then tell us that we are about to find out the final entrant into the tournament right now. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> <b>MR.PERFECT VS EDGE</b> This is a fantastic back and forth match where both men really shine. The story of the match is the grizzled vet in Mr. Perfect, who knows just a bit more than the young upstart in Edge. So Perfect dominates the middle of the match working some of his classic moves all the while trying to hit the Perfect-Plex. Edge is the classic white meat babyface who never gives up and eventually fights back into the match. Edge goes for the Spear but Perfect knees him dead in the face to set up the ending. The Finish sees Perfect go for the Perfect-Plex but Edge backdrops him and explodes with a Spear for the pinfall. WINNER BY PINFALL: EDGE <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:20px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(160,160,160);"></div> Edge has won the match and will be the final combatant in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament!!! Edge celebrates his win andMr. Perfect looks like he is going to fight Edge but instead offers his hand in a sign of respect. They shake hands and Perfect leaves. Edge is celebrating while JR & King begin to wrap up the sho…. *CRACK* Edge falls down hard from a chair shot to the back. The camera pans up from Edge to the chair to the holder of the chair…. EDDGE GUERRERO IS BACK!!!! Edge stands up and Eddie swings the chair and knocks Edge out. Eddie goes up top and flies off with the Frog Splash. Eddie Guerrero has returned after nearly a year away and has apparently signed with Monday Night Raw and is targeting Edge. Why? And will Edge, with the opportunity of a lifetime ahead of him next week, be able to even compete in the World Title Tournament? Thank you for this. And thank you everyone for all the kind words. Yeah, there was no way that we could run both diaries (far too many shows and far too little rl free time lol). And as Pipers Pit said, we both felt burned out with real life WWE and if we were feeling that, it wouldn't be something that we could continue. Both of us have always loved this era and really wanted to try it, so we're thrilled to do this and hopefully this goes on for years to come.

We’re also going with the switch from WWF to WWE a full month earlier just to get it out of the way. Decided to just expedite things and do a draft off screen so that these are the rosters and we can just begin.

Good evening, I hope that you’ve enjoyed WrestleMania X8 so far and we’re not done yet with the Undisputed Championship match in a few moments but first I have an announcement which will shake World Wrestling Entertainment to its foundation. We're not simply "Getting the F Out" as you've learned here tonight, but WWE has simply become too large for one company...so we're extending our organization to two distinct companies under the WWE corporate umbrella....WWE Raw, which will be owned by Ric Flair, and WWE SmackDown which will be owned by Vince McMahon. This week will be the final week of this company as you've known it. Starting tomorrow night on Raw and concluding Thursday on SmackDown, the entire roster will be drafted into two distinct shows - the flag bearers of these companies. Announcers and referees are exempt from this draft as is the winner of tonight's WWE Championship match between Triple H and Chris Jericho. That champion will be free to sign with whichever company that he chooses. Once the draft is complete, the rosters will be locked in. The only way a superstar will move from one company to another is if their contract ends and they become a free agent. Both companies will share the next five pay per view events through Summerslam. In September Raw and Smackdown will meet head to head at the King of the Ring event. After that they will hold solo events until WrestleMania. For eighteen years WrestleMania has been the biggest event in Sports Entertainment and now it will become our version of the superbowl. Hunter says that last weekend NXT Stood and Delivered, but now it is time for a new era. NXT will be returning to our roots of creating tomorrow’s superstars today. Next week NXT will return to a one hour format but tonight is a night to remember. Over Wrestlemania weekend, Raquel Gonzalez walked into William Regal’s office and challenged NXT Women’s Champion Indi Hartwell for a title match. Well being the fighting champ that she is, Indi has accepted and Mr. Regal has decided that the match will take place…..right now. Raquel scores some near falls before Indi is able to hit a Big Boot and start a comeback. Indi hits a Hammerlock DDT and covers… 1… 2…. Raquel kicks out just in time. Indi slams Raquel with a Swinging Sidewalk Slam and prepares to nail her Springboard Elbow Drop but Gonzalez catches the champion and does a German Suplex out of the move. This match showcases Drake’s ability to do aerial maneuvers but once Theory nails a kick to Maverick’s head as he flies off the top rope, it becomes all about Theory. Candice says their boy is growing into a man before their eyes. The two high five because it’s time for the main event. Johnny Wrestling and his bride take on L.A. KNIGHT & SERENA DEEB VS JOHNNY GARGANO & CANDICE LERAE</b> The match is even early on before the Gargano’s clear the ring as we go to a commercial break. When it returns, Candice is beating on Serena in a corner and L.A. Knight goes to grab Johnny’s wife and that makes Gargano rush into the ring. The ref stops Johnny but L.A. Knight sneaks in and pushes Candice into Serena who does a Spinebuster. From then Serena takes her time beating down Candice and mockingly keeping her from her husband. Eventually Serena gets too cocky and goes for a Piledriver but Candice backdrops Deeb and crawls to Johnny. Just as L.A. Knight rushes in, Candice makes the tag and Knight is stuck fighting the champion. Johnny is a house of fire beating down LA Knight until Serena clips Gagano’s knee. Candice has recovered and does a DDT onto Serena and throws her to the floor where the two ladies brawl. L.A. Knight tries to go for his finish but Johnny Wrestling reverses and locks in the Gargano Escape. LA tries to get to the ropes and Serena is trying to get in to help but Candice has her leg as Knight taps out. WINNERS BY SUBMISSION: JOHNNY GARGANO & CANDICE LERAE <div style="color:rgb(0,0,0);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:10px solid rgb(0,0,0);"></div> Candice goes to the floor and grabs the NXT Title and gives it to her husband as they celebrate to the cheers of the crowd here in the legendary Center Stage Theatre. The mom and dad of The Way are vic…. Suddenly two masked figures slide into the ring - one obviously a man and the other obviously a woman - and blast Gargano and Lerae from behind. The masked female takes Candice and does a Death Valley Driver knocking Lerae out before she locks on a Crossface onto Lerae. The masked man starts wailing away onto Johnny Wrestling before hitting him in the head with the belt. The man then goes to his female partner who is still tormenting Candice and grabs her mask. He grabs his mask and pulls them off at the same time… IT’S ADAM COLE & BRITT BAKER!!! What the hell is going on here? Candice is trapped and forced to watch while Johnny is sat on his knees. Adam Cole steps back and prepares to hit Lights Out and does so just as Britt locks in the LockJaw on Candice. Soon Triple H himself sends out security - Britt and Cole see them coming and bail from the ring with the damage done. Triple H looks on with clear anger at the two. Adam Cole has apparently invaded NXT and he’s brought his girlfriend with him. Are they signed? What do they want with Johnny Gargano and Candice Lerae? Shayna is cocky and arrogant in promising that she will dominate Sasha Banks, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley at Wrestlemania. And that no matter how much Sonya may want Shayna to go away….the Queen of Spades will always be the face of the women’s division for this franchise. Sonya says that Shayna has a point - Baszler is the face of the women’s division so she should be in a match here tonight. Sonya tells Shayna that later tonight Shayna Baszler will team with one of the women who wants to take that title in just over two weeks…Rhea Ripley. And their opponents? Why it’s the other two women that want Shayna’s title….the EST of SD Bianca Belair and the Boss Sasha Banks. Suddenly Shayna is not cocky anymore but the match is official for later tonight. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> <b>LIV MORGAN VS PIPER NIVEN W/PAIGE & KAY LEE RAY</b> The match starts out with Niven dominating Liv but the Mastadon’s opponent proves to be scrappy as Morgan kicks out of pin attempt after pin attempt. When Niven goes for a running splash in a corner, Liv slides through the ropes and kick’s Niven in the head before climbing to the top and flying off with a knee strike to Niven’s head. Liv tries to slam Piper but that is a big mistake as she wrenches her back and that is the end of the comeback for Morgan. Soon she is fallen by the Avalanche as Piper Niven once again proves her dominance on SmackDown. WINNER BY PINFALL: PIPER NIVEN <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> After the match, Paige grabs the mic and again bemoans that no one has yet stepped up to the challenge that Piper Niven and Kay Lee Ray have laid down for Wrestlemania. And until a match is made, Paige will continue to send her Weapon of Mass Destruction, Piper Niven, to take out all of the women of SmackDown. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> We see the United States Champion, The Miz, doing some squats and stretches while Maryse encourages him. The SmackDown United States Title is on the line… after this time out. ========== Commercial Break ========== SmackDown returns as we see a hype graphic for SmackDown’s Wrestlemania which is now 15 days away from the sold out AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas and streaming only on Peacock. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> <b>SMACKDOWN UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MUSTAFA ALI VS THE MIZ w/MARYSE</b> This is a back and forth match but Ali really shines and looks like he could be on the verge of a huge upset when he nails a Shooting Star Press onto Miz. Maryse distracts the ref and that allows Miz the opportunity to do a low blow onto Mustafa Ali and starts dominating his opponent. The Miz is unable to secure a victory, however and when he goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, Ali turns it into a DDT. Ali begins to look like he may win but Maryse throws the US title into Miz’s hands and then gets on the ropes again distracting the ref and Mustafa this time. The Miz has the belt and is preparing to strike when Shelton Benjamin runs down to the ring and makes a beeline for The Miz. Benjamin starts beating up Miz, which the ref sees and calls for a DQ costing Ali the match. But Mustafa lets Benjamin get his pound of flesh. WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION AND STILL SMACKDOWN UNITED STATES CHAMPION: THE MIZ <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> After the match, Shelton Benjamin continued his assault on the SmackDown United States Champion. Shelton has had enough of the Miz and strikes him with the US Title belt before grabbing ringside steps and placing them in the ring. Shelton picks up the steps and ram’s them into Miz’s head. This brings out SmackDown officials who come racing down to stop Shelton from doing more harm and that allows Maryse to roll her husband out of the ring and help him up the ramp. Shelton apologizes to Mustafa Ali for costing him but Ali shakes Benjamin’s hand…he gets it. The Miz has escaped from the wrath of Shelton Benjamin but there will be nowhere to run in 15 days at Wrestlemania!! <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> Kayla Braxton is backstage with Rey Mysterio. She asks Rey how he is feeling about what Dominik has done to his family. Rey says that he is heartbroken, but it is not just about Rey’s feelings - Rey’s wife is devastated. Dominik is not speaking to her either. Rey’s daughter is distraught because she has now lost her best friend when Dom decided to tear this family apart all to be with Zelina Vega? That’s not the son that Rey raised and he doesn’t know what got to this point but one thing he knows is that Rey Mysterio won’t fight his son at Wrestl… At this moment a staffer comes up and says that a letter was delivered to SmackDown to the attention of Rey Mysterio. Rey opens it and reads it and looks even more distraught than before. Kayla asks what does it say and Rey reads it aloud: “Rey, Be a man and accept my challenge for Wrestlemania. If you don’t, next week…you’ll regret it. - Dominik” Rey looks on the verge of tears before he crumbles the note up into a ball and throws it away and walks off. Drew says that he is here to watch his Wrestlemania opponent, Finn Balor, in action. <b>CEDRIC ALEXANDER VS FINN BALOR</b> Poor Cedric takes the brunt of Balor proving a point that he is still one of the best wrestlers in the world as Alexander takes stiff shot after stiff shot and before long, Finn is nailing the Coup de Gras for the statement win. WINNER BY PINFALL: FINN BALOR <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> After the match, Finn Balor celebrates while Drew stands there giving a nod to Balor. Finn looks directly at Drew and the two engage in a staredown. They tell us that SmackDown has confirmed that it was taken seven days ago in the aftermath of the Edge-Adam Cole confrontation. And it is disturbing in nature, viewer discretion is advised. A video airs and we see that it is Adam Cole and he is somewhere looking at Edge's house. Adam says that right this second Edge is surely on the road racing to the airport to get home to his precious little family. His adorable daughters and his loving wife. That big house, surrounded by trees - so many places to hide and not be seen. The camera pans around and we see that Adam Cole is in the trees walking around the exterior of the house, filming all of the house. Cole says that at any moment he could enter the house and there is nothing that Edge could do to stop it. And nothing that anyone could do before "help" arrived. And it would be Edge's fault. All of this: his family's precarious situation, the pain he has felt, all of it would've been prevented if Edge had simply walked away. Instead he came back like a White Knight at the Royal Rumble and took away from Adam Cole Bay Bay, what he has wanted his entire life: the main event of Wrestlemania. So maybe Adam Cole will enter the house afterall. Maybe, it's time to say hello to Beth and the gir...we see that the front porch light is suddenly turned on and Beth comes outside with a baseball bat. She has her phone to her ear and she is scanning the area having clearly been alerted to what was going on. Cole backs away until we are clearly deep into the woods and can barely see the house anymore. He ends the video by saying "maybe not." and looks at the camera and smiles before the video goes dark. ========== Commercial Break ========== SmackDown returns as Michael Cole and Pat McAfee take us back to earlier tonight where The Rock promised that he will walk away from hollywood and make SmackDown his life if he captures the SmackDown World Title from Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania. This match is quite simply one of the biggest Wrestlemania matches of all time. And SmackDown is proud to be the franchise to present it to you. Rhea plays the babyface trying to get to her partner but Shayna never really makes an effort to tag in, enjoying watching one of her Mania opponents suffer. Eventually Rhea is able to stage a comeback and then forcibly tags her partner in and throws Shayna to the wolves. Shayna fights off Sasha and Bianca but then the Boss does a Banks Statement and Bianca nails a KOD all while Rhea stands by and lets it happen. Bianca covers….1….2…3. From there the EST of SD starts getting her pound of flesh on Shayna before Sasha Banks comes over and does to Bianca what Belair did to Rhea. Sasha drops Shayna with a Backstabber into a Banks Statement. Shayna screams for mercy until Rhea and Bianca both drag Sasha off of the champion. The three challengers for the SmackDown Women’s Title then start pushing and shoving and yelling at each other while Shayna escapes the ring with her belt. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> In the Gorilla Position we see SmackDown World Champion Roman Reigns and his Wise One, Paul Heyman and then we see The Uso’s. Roman gives his cousins a “pep talk” that brings up the fact that at various points recently, both Jimmy and Jey have embarrassed the family with their failures. Last week that embarrassment happened with Roman out there to witness it. “Main Event” Jey wasn’t so main event - and he let down his Tribal Chief. Jey let down their entire legacy!!! But this is their chance to correct it. The Bloodline must not and WILL NOT be allowed to look like failures anymore. It is time to show the world why The Uso’s are worthy of being at the table. Go out there, right now, and take the opportunity to get their SmackDown Tag Team Titles back at Wrestlemania. Roman finishes the pep talk by saying: “Jimmy, Jey, do not fail me again.” Both Uso brothers are ready for war and promise victory as they burst through the entrance. Eventually the match devolves into a brawl as Erik and Ivar take the former champs up the aisle and fight. Ivar powerbombs Jimmy Uso onto his own brother and Erik climbs a ladder that is set up and flies off with a splash onto both Usos. War Raiders bring Jimmy down the aisle and throw him in the ring and prepare for Fallout but Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have come out to check on Jey which distracts War Raiders and the ref. This allows Jimmy Uso to low blow Erik and go for a pin…1…..2….Ivar breaks it up. Eventually Jey Uso is able to get back to the ring and then a brawl happens with both teams trading near falls. Jimmy is thrown from the ring at one point and War Raiders set up Jey for Fallout but Heyman is distracting the ref. Roman hands the SmackDown Title to Jimmy who rushes into the ring and blasts Ivar from behind with the belt and then again when he turns around. After nailing Erik with it as well, Jimmy throws the belt to Roman just as the Usos do a double Superkick onto Ivar sending him to the floor. They then do a double Superkick onto Erik and then a top rope splash and cover….1…..2…….3. After some back and forth action, it is Drew who is able to keep Rey down for a decent portion of the match with mat based maneuvers but his arrogance gets the better of him when Drew tries to do a Powerbomb in a show of strength. Instead of hitting Rey with the bomb, Rey is able to reverse it into a Hurricanrana that propels Gulak into the ropes. Rey bounces off and hits 619 and soon nails the top rope splash for the 3 count. And Dominik has not come home - but Rey knows that Dominik is here tonight and he wants his son to be a man and come out here right now…. Dominik and Zelina come out holding each other’s hands. And Dominik looks different - he is now sporting a buzz cut on his head, he is wearing tight skinny jeans with holes in the legs and a leather jacket. He looks almost like a rockstar and he is wearing sunglasses as he glares at his father. Dominik says that the reason he did what he did last week is because he is tired of being under his father’s control. He is tired of living in the shadow of the great Rey Mysterio; which is funny since Dominik has been taller than Rey since he was in Seventh Grade. Dominik derides Rey for always holding him back, for taking Dominik’s opportunities from him like at the Royal Rumble when Rey Mysterio threw his own son over the top rope and ended Dominik’s Wrestlemania dream…because Rey could not stand the idea that someone other than Rey got the glory in this family. Dominik says he is tired of Rey ordering him around and keeping Dominik in the place that Rey wants him to be instead of letting his child fly free. And after months of Zelina telling Dominik in private how much Rey Mysterio was taking advantage of his child…Dominik saw the light. And for the first time in his life he has someone in his life that listens to him. That only cares about making Dominik the star. Zelina Vega is what Dominik Mysterio needed his entire freaking life and he didn’t even know how much until last week when Dom walked out on his useless father. And she has a terrific idea…it is time for Rey Mysterio to know his place. And it is time for him to see that his son has arrived and the only way that can happen is if Rey Mysterio gets his ass beat…by his own child….at Wrestlemania! Dominik formally challenges his father for a match. But Rey says that he won’t do it. He loves his son and he cannot hurt his own child, so Rey refuses. From there Shelton owns the match and after some near falls and a Super Kick, Shelton is preparing to finish off Sheamus when….. Maryse has run out and hops on the apron, distracting Shelton. Both Benjamin and the ref try to get Maryse off the apron and that gives Sheamus time to regroup. Shelton turns around into the Brogue Kick just as Maryse drops from the apron to the floor. Both entered the WWE with high expectations and both men main evented Wrestlemania within three years of their debuts in WWE. And both men have main evented multiple Wrestlemania’s and won multiple World Championships. Blood vs Blood. The past vs the future. A family implodes? This is the stuff that movies are made of but here is where the paths divulge. While The Rock went off to Hollywood to become some big star, Roman Reigns has chosen not to take that path. Roode and Edge trade off some near falls before Edge takes control of the match and doesn’t really let it go. After nailing a Edge-o-cution and after reversing a Glorious DDT, Edge nails the Spear for the 3 count. WINNER BY PINFALL: EDGE <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> After the match, a victorious Edge begins to cut a promo on Adam Cole and their match at Wrestlemania but he is suddenly cut off by a video that begins to play on the big screen. The video shows Edge’s wife, Beth Phoenix, as she goes about her day throughout their Asheville, North Carolina town, completely unaware that anyone is following her. The video shows Beth dropping off their kids to school, Beth in a grocery store saying hi to a neighbor, Beth doing yard work and welcoming the kids home from school. And finally a shot of Edge and Beth’s home at night and it is in that moment that Adam Cole steps into the frame on the front yard at Edge and Beth’s house. Adam Cole says that Edge is all the way in Birmingham giving wrestling promos about their match at Wrestlemania…but Cole is hours away…making it personal. Adam Cole says that he can do whatever he wants to Edge’s family right now and there is not a damned thing that Edge could do about it. And at Wrestlemania, Cole will end Edge’s career because he will re-break Edge’s neck…and there isn’t anything Edge can do about that either. Cole apologizes for being rude and says that maybe he should go introduce himself and starts to walk toward the door when the video cuts out. Before the video even ends, Edge is bolting from the ring and racing to the back. The camera follows him as he pushes past SmackDown personnel and runs to his locker room grabbing only his bag - and not seeing his jacket being left behind. Edge then runs out to the parking lot while trying to dial Beth on his phone, getting into his car and speeding off into the Birmingham night. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> Michael Cole and Pat McAfee are disturbed by what we’ve just seen. They then show us a graphic that next week on SmackDown, The Rock will be on hand to address his challenge of Roman Reigns in the main event of Wrestlemania. Roman goes for the Spear but Drew lifts his knee and does a poweslam to the champion. Drew slams Roman around with some power moves as he prepares to take out Roman with the Claymore but The Uso’s slide in and nail Drew from behind. RK-Bro get back into the ring and a wild six person fight happens in the ring and after some near falls broken up by both teams, Jimmy Uso and Riddle fall to the floor. Jey and Roman double team Randy until Drew runs and nails a Claymore onto Reigns. The force sends Roman flying through the ropes to the arena floor. Jey turns around into the RKO!!!! Cover….1….2….3. Stephanie McMahon had previously warned Rock that if he took on Reigns, he would vacate his ownership stake in SmackDown. What is the fate of this franchise? Perhaps we will find out tonight. Also tonight, Rhea Ripley will challenge Shayna Baszler in our main event for the SmackDown Women’s World Title. After Shayna cost Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks their chance at challenging for the title at Wrestlemania, perhaps Rhea can extract revenge and take the title from the Queen of Spades. Also the US Champion, The Miz, is in action tonight where he will defend his title after challenging Shelton Benjamin for Wrestlemania. But we kick things off with The Mysterios vs Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher. <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> <b>THE MYSTERIOS VS TOMMASO CIAMPA & TIMOTHY THATCHER</b> The Mysterios and Ciampa/Thatcher have a brawl to begin the match but soon Dom and Rey send Ciampa & Timothy to the floor and both Mysterios fly off with aerial dominance. Dominik eventually takes a big portion of the match and again ignores Rey’s call for Dom to tag in. When Dominik ducks under a Thatcher clothesline and does a DDT near his father, Rey tags himself in without Dominik wanting him to. Rey cleans house for a bit before Ciampa & Thatcher take over and soon it is Rey that needs to tag in his son. After nailing Ciampa with a Sunset Flip into a roll up for a 2 count, Rey goes for the hot tag to Dominik but Dominik drops off the apron and walks away while his dad is left alone. Ciampa and Thatcher see this happen but they have no choice as Tommaso reluctantly nails Rey with Project Ciampa and covers for the pinfall. Dominik never looks back and walks out of the arena. We then go to “During the Break” video where we see a split screen of Rey Mysterio leaving the ring with a look of heartbreak in his eyes. While that happens, Dominik is seen walking straight toward the doors to exit the building and comes upon Zelina Vega. Zelina is smiling from ear to ear and Dom smiles as well and then the two kiss before walking out of the building together hand-in-hand. Roode shines and for quite awhile owns the match but the tide turns when Cesaro catches Roode in a mid-air jump into the Super Swing for about 10 rotations. From there the Swiss Superman owns the momentum and Dolph can only watch as Roode is felled by the Neutralizer for the 3 count. Finn says that he doesn’t believe that Drew intentionally screwed Balor around - but the fact is that Finn went from being a world title contender to being screwed out of the title and then watching Drew himself fail to obtain the title. Now they fought in December and Drew McIntyre beat Finn Balor on that night but Finn knows - he just *knows* that he can beat Drew. They were once friends and right now they are not on good terms but Balor needs to know - straight up with no Roman interference - if Finn Balor can beat Drew McIntyre. So Finn is out here to challenge Drew for a match at Wrestlemania. Drew thinks about it and says that in his eyes, Finn Balor is still his friend. But if Finn needs to face Drew at Wrestlemania to truly settle this….the answer is yes. Gillberg puts Miz in a side headlock and Miz drops out and rolls to the floor as if he’s scared to death. Gillberg gives chase in the form of slowly walking around the ring while tripping on himself and Miz acts like it’s The Undertaker coming for his soul. Miz gets back into the ring and Gillberg comes in and ducks a Miz punch and goes for the Spear but instead of Miz going down, he “Hulks Up” and Gillberg crashes to the mat. From there Miz acts like Hogan revisited before ending the charade with a smirk and hitting the Skull Crushing Finale for the pinfall. Shelton says that Mike Mizanin needs to learn to stop underestimating Shelton Benjamin because that will be his undoing and that the United States Title has too strong of a lineage to be around the waist of an idiot like Miz. It should be defended in real matches, with real honor and dignity benefiting the rich history of the title. But when Melina goes for a Jumping DDT Liv turns it into a Overhead Suplex and then nails a Flatliner from the ropes onto Melina for the pinfall. SmackDown is returning to ownership of WWE and WWE will decide what to do with the franchise after Wrestlemania. Who will WWE choose as the new owner of SmackDown? In any event, we still have our main event - Rhea Ripley will take on Shayna Baszler for the SmackDown Women’s Championship…and it’s next. ========== Commercial Break ========== <b>SMACKDOWN WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP SHAYNA BASZLER VS RHEA RIPLEY </b> These two alpha women square up and both trade shots to the head before Rhea clotheslines the champion over the ropes to the floor and they brawl at ringside. One spot on the floor sees Shayna do an overhead Belly-to-Belly of Rhea onto the announce table and Rhea ends up squarely in the lap of Pat McAfee who graciously, like a gentleman, helps the challenger to her feet. Shayna pushes Michael Cole out of the way to come up from behind and shove Pat into Rhea and that allows Shayna the chance to post Rhea and take the challenger to the ring. In the ring, Shayna starts working on Rhea’s neck for the Kirifuda Clutch and keeps doing underhanded tactics like raking Rhea’s eyes whenever the challenger starts to come back into the match. A scary moment happens when Ripley is on the top rope for a leg drop and Shayna hits the ropes but instead of Rhea crocheting herself, Ripley falls to the floor landing squarely on her shoulder. The ref checks to make sure Ripley can continue and she does. Baszler attacks that shoulder and neck area and before long locks in the Kirifuda Clutch!!! Rhea somehow, some-way makes it to the ropes which infuriates the champion who goes and takes the turnbuckle pad off of a turnbuckle. The ref admonishes Shayna and that allows Rhea a chance to fight back into this. Ripley gets control and when Shayna goes for a Powerbomb, Rhea is able to step inside it, come out and nail the RIPTIDE!!! She covers Baszler 1…. 2… Baszler gets her foot on the ropes. Rhea knows she has the champ where she wants her and goes for the Riptide again but Baszler kicks Ripley in the knee and then takes Ripley’s shoulder and, in full view of the ref, slams Ripley’s shoulder into the exposed Turnbuckle forcing the ref to disqualify the champ. But since Ripley won by DQ, Shayna remains champion. WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: RHEA RIPLEY <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> After the match, Shayna Baszler takes her belt and quickly hightails it up the aisle gloating that she outsmarted Rhea. But then Shayna turns around and both Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair are in the aisle and the Queen of Spades is trapped because Rhea Ripley, holding her injured shoulder, is now on the floor. All three women are screaming at Shayna that they want a title match at Wrestlemania and this continues until SmackDown Managing Director Sonya Deville comes out to the stage. Sonya says that all of these women have legitimate claims to the title after the cowardly way that Shayna Baszler has held onto her belt since becoming World Champion. Shayna has individually screwed Bianca Belair, Sasha Banks and Rhea Ripley and so Shayna Baszler must pay the price. It would not be fair to choose one of these women over the other….so Sonya won’t. Therefore at Wrestlemania Shayna Baszler will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks….and Bianca Belair…..and Rhea Ripley in a Fatal Fourway Match! Edge says that he is tired of running around and chasing Adam Cole who has used cheap shots and sneak attacks every time but when it is time to nut up and be a man, Adam Cole runs away like a bitch. Adam Cole is the perfect example of this so-called “modern wrestler”: he is a boy in a man’s world pretending that he has balls but actually has no idea what that even means. You wanna know what having balls means? It means locking your ass inside a steel prison with The Undertaker when you know you’ve pissed him off. Having balls means facing Mick Foley in his match on the grandest stage and spearing his ass through a flaming table. And having balls means walking away from the only thing you’ve ever loved and then grinding and working and praying and demanding a second chance at it. A chance to thrive in this world once more. And while Edge was doing all of that, Adam Cole….was playing video games on Twitch. And the truth of it is that when push comes to shove, Adam Cole can’t muster the GRIT that it takes to thrive on this stage. That is why he sneak attacks and why he sucks up to Triple H so he could be the pet project in the small pond that is NXT. It’s why he cannot and will not face Edge like a man. But while Adam Cole was playing video games, games like the WWE 2K series so that he and his friends could pretend to be in those great moments in WWE history, Edge was MAKING HISTORY. And that is the difference between Adam Cole and Edge. So here is the part where a challenge is made because it is time to see if Adam Cole has any shred of dignity in his body. Edge is sitting here challenging Adam Cole to a match on the grandest stage that there is. A match in front of A Hundred Thousand people. A match with the whole world watching. This match becomes a back and forth with both teams taking control at various points until Ali makes a hot tag to Ricochet who backdrops Dolph over the ropes to the floor. Ali takes to the sky with a cross body wiping out Ziggler on the floor and after a few mins, Ricochet is able to hit the 630 on Roode for the pinfall. The SmackDown Tag Team division may have a new team! And when Shelton tries to respond, Miz pulls the mic away and continues his tirade. Every time Shelton tries to talk, Miz glorifies his own record while putting down Shelton as a never was and as a lackey for real stars like Kurt Angle and Bobby Lashley. Because that is all Shelton Benjamin has ever been. Shelton is just a supporting cast member, he is not the star. And he never will be a star. We then go to the parking lot during the break and Kayla Braxton catches up to The Miz and Maryse and Miz cuts an irate promo saying he is tired of being humiliated. And he will do something about it…at Wrestlemania. The Miz is challenging Shelton Benjamin and he will put the US Title on the line to get the last laugh on the grandest stage. The Miz and Maryse then go to their limo and order it to drive off. <b>SMACKDOWN WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDER'S MATCH SASHA BANKS VS BIANCA BELAIR</b> Sasha and Bianca face off in what is a rematch from last year’s Wrestlemania and both go for quick roll ups before Sasha throws Bianca into a corner and starts wailing away at the EST of SD. Sasha eventually is able to hammer the back of Bianca’s neck to work on her for the Banks Statement. When Sasha goes up top, though, Bianca leaps to the top rope and does a Top Rope Belly-To-Belly and covers…1….2….Sasha is out at 2 and a half. Bianca starts using power moves to “rag doll” Sasha around the ring and eventually the two go to the floor where Belair PowerBomb’s Sasha on the ring apron and then flings The Boss head first into the side of the ring announce table. Back in the ring, Bianca scoop slams Banks over and over and over again before The Boss is nearly out on her feet. The EST of SD climbs to the top and goes for a 450 Splash but Sasha puts her knees up and Belair’s back is damaged. Sasha is now on her feet and does a Meterora from the ropes and then a Backstabber into the BANKS STATEMENT!!!! Belair is screaming and scrambling to get to the ropes but her foot can only get there and just before she taps, Bianca kicks the ropes and uses the momentum to roll out of the submission and pick Sasha up….K.O.D.!!! Belair covers…. 1…. 2…. Shayna Baszler has run down and she yanks the ref out of the ring hard just before the hand can come down for the 3 count. The Queen of Spades slides into the ring and kicks Bianca in the back of the head and then slams Belair’s face into the Women’s Title belt. From there, the Women’s Champion wails away at Sasha Banks until the ref recovers and throws the match out. But eventually Cedric and Sami are able to isolate Erik from his bigger partner and Sami is able to beat down Erik and eventually hits the Helluva Kick tags in Cedric to finish off Erik. Cedric is arrogant in thinking that this is over and when he goes to pick Erik up, Erik is able to push Alexander toward his partner’s corner and tag the big man who comes in and cleans house and throws Cedric all over the ring. Sami watches this and his eyes get big when Ivar does a top rope splash onto Cedric and Sami backs off from the match leaving his partner alone. War Raiders bring fallout to Alexander for the pinfall. When we come back, Jeff Hardy challenges for the SmackDown World Title - the main event is next on FOX. ========== Commercial Break ========== <b>SMACKDOWN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH JEFF HARDY VS ROMAN REIGNS w/PAUL HEYMAN</b> Roman is all cockiness as he looks Jeff in the eye and says “you can’t beat me” but Hardy responds by slapping the Tribal Chief in his face and then decking Roman. Jeff starts flying around the ring and soon Roman has bailed to the floor to get away but Jeff runs the guardrail and launches his body like a rocket into Reigns who’s knee hits a ring step. Back in the ring Jeff goes for the Twist of Fate but Roman does an Uppercut and then proceeds to charge for the Spear but Jeff kicks Roman in the face and rolls him up. 1…. 2….. Roman Reigns barely kicks out. Jeff stomps and kicks at the champion but when Hardy bounces off the ropes, Roman boots him in the face and stops his momentum cold. From there the champion cockily dominates the challenger while talking trash about how Jeff took his best shot and couldn’t land it. Roman does a Drive By and then a brutal elbow shot to Jeff and covers…1….2…Jeff kicks out. Roman laughs it off and Powerbombs Hardy and covers but Jeff again kicks out. Roman laughs once more and then goes charging at Jeff for the Spear but Jeff rolls him up yet again… 1… Roman is out at 1 and a half and now the champ is pissed. He throws Hardy around the ring while screaming for Hardy to not embarrass him but Hardy flips Roman off and bails to the floor forcing the Tribal Chief to chase him. Jeff pushes Heyman into Reigns and then runs into the ring, bounces off the ropes and does a Taupe Suicida knocking both Roman and Heyman to the floor. Jeff sees this is his moment and throws Roman into the ring and runs in……*SPEAR*. My god the champion exploded with a Spear and covers… 1…. 2.. JEFF HARDY KICKS OUT! Roman Reigns cannontbelieve it but Jeff Hardy will not die. Roman throws the challenger into a corner and charges but Jeff gets out of the way and the champ cracks his chest on the turnbuckle and stumbles into the Twist of Fate!!! Jeff takes his shirt off and climbs for the Swanton and leaps off……and Roman moves out of the way. Jeff crashes hard to the mat and then Roman goes to the corner and runs….SUPERMAN PUNCH. Roman Reigns bails from the ring immediately but the message is now clear. The Rock has chosen to surrender his ownership of SmackDown and The Great One will try to dethrone the Head of the Table. Adam Cole looks shocked that Hardy is here and Jeff goes right for him. Cole races to the floor and Hardy gives chase and they brawl on the floor and into the fans for a bit which allows Sheamus and Balor to be the focus of the first half of this match. They trade near falls before Balor sets up for the Coup De Gras but by this point Cole is back and he shoves Finn off the top rope. After a Panama Sunrise on Finn, Cole takes control of this match trading blows with Sheamus. Eventually Jeff makes his way back and all four men brawl all over the area with each trading a finisher and a hope spot before Sheamus nails Balor with the Brogue sending Finn to the floor. Hardy ducks under a kick from Sheamus and nails the Twist of Fate but then Cole blasts Jeff from behind. As Cole prepares to put Hardy down…. Edge comes running out from the back and Cole sees him and runs for dear life. Cole jumps into the fans and takes off with Edge giving chase. Jeff sees his moment and nails the Swanton onto Sheamus and covers. Balor tries to get back into the ring and does so and dives for Jeff but the ref slap’s his hand down for the 3rd time. Balor missed his shot and Jeff Hardy wins! After some good tag team maneuvers, Dom lets his dad take control and scores some near falls on both Steves and Corino before tagging his son back in. Dom scores with a 619 of his own on Corino and Rey signals that he wants to be tagged in to finish off the match but Dom ignores his dad and does a Rude Awakening to Corino and scores the pinfall. Eventually Cesaro is able to nail the Neutralizer but then Heyman gets on the apron and that allows Jimmy to slide in and Super Kick Cesaro in the back of the head. Jey flies off top with the Superfly Leap as his brother and the Wise One drop from the ring and the pinfall. Tegan and Liv try to fight galliantly, but eventually Tegan is dropped with the Avalanche from Piper and then a Vader’s Bomb for the three count. The Miz mockingly claps for the “inspirational” story of Shelton Benjamin’s turnaround in attitude. But no matter how nice Shelton now pretends to be…he will always be a loser. Maryse does the L hand sign and Shelton smiles and says “no matter how many titles you win, she will always have bigger balls than you”....The Miz gets furious and slaps Shelton in the face who responds by decking Miz with one punch. They then speculate about Stephanie McMahon’s ultimatum and what will The Rock decide? <div style="color:rgb(26, 26, 26);font-family:Roboto;font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;border-top:3px solid rgb(51, 51, 255);"></div> LADDER MATCH <b>RKBRO © VS TOMMASO CIAMPA AND TIMOTHY THATCHER</b> The two teams start out going directly for ladders and slide them in and they brawl trying to get a ladder set up. Randy and Riddle take their ladder and ram Ciampa & Thatcher with it and then a brawl breaks out between the two teams. At one point Riddle is able to set up a ladder and climb it but instead of reaching for the belts, he does a Corkscrew Plancha off the top, over the ropes and wiping out both Randy and their opponents. Riddle starts climbing the ladder but Ciampa meets him on the other side and does a Sunset Flip into a Powerbomb wiping out Riddle. From there the challengers spend considerable time beating down the champs with chairs and a set of stairs and with high impact moves. Ciampa nails project Ciampa on Riddle while Thatcher sets up the ladder. Thatcher begins to climb, but Randy nails Ciampa with a chair from behind and then kicks the ladder out from under Thatcher just as Timothy grabs the titles. Timothy is holding on for dear life until Randy yanks on Thatcher’s leg and while he falls, Randy catches him and nails the RKO!!!!! Randy RKO’s Tommasso for good measure while Riddle makes the climb up the ladder and retrieves the titles. Rey and Dolph trade blows until Dolph drops Rey with a DDT and bails to the floor and grabs a chair. When Dolph slides in, Dominik slides in behind Dolph and takes the chair out of his hand. The ref is yelling at Dominik and that allows Rey to fly off the top with the West Coast Pop. Rey covers but the ref is with Dominik and doesn’t see the pin. Robert Roode runs down and slides into the ring and nails Rey with a Glorious DDT. Dominik finally stops arguing with the ref but Roode is on the floor now and Dolph covers Rey for the pin. Riddle starts to talk about the party they had in Tampa before Randy says “oversharing, oversharing” and takes over. Randy says that he knows this franchise perhaps better than anyone. He’s been the champion of this franchise and he knows how important SmackDown has been in the annals of professional wrestling. But SmackDown has not been known as the place with the best tag team division until…The Uso’s made these belts desirable. For all their faults and there are many, Jimmy and Jey made these titles THE standard in professional wrestling. And it is the reason that RKBro signed SmackDown contracts. These titles are a legacy now and that legacy will be contin… Tommaso Ciampa & Timothy Thatcher come out and it is clear that they are not in a happy mood. Ciampa & Thatcher look at Randy and Riddle and say that they were screwed…again…out of the belts but this time it wasn’t by The Uso’s…it was by a dumbass and a Viper. So here it is, straight up….Ciampa & Thatcher want a one on one shot at those belts. Randy and Riddle get nose to nose and are ready to go and pushing and shoving happens. Piper dominates poor Liv Morgan early but then she makes the hot tag to Toni and Toni fares well against Niven who actually retreats and tags her partner in. From there the four women engage in a few near falls and some brawling. The finish comes when Kay Lee Ray is choking Liv in the corner and Toni comes over to help but it is a set up as Kay Lee Ray holds Toni against Liv while Piper charges and splashes them both. Ray throws Toni out as Piper Niven nails the Avalanche for the pinfall. Cesaro sneaks up behind Miz and does a German Suplex that sends the belt flying and Maryse scrambling from the ring. The champion survives several near falls and bails to the floor to try to escape with his wife but Cesaro grabs them both by the hair and does the iconic Hulk Hogan-esque Double Noggin Knocker and throws Miz back in the ring. A few power moves later and Cesaro has Miz set up for the Neutralizer but Maryse is on the ropes distracting the ref and The Miz low blows Cesaro. From there the Miz takes over and scores a near fall on a DDT but every time he goes for the Skull Crushing Finale, Cesaro is able to either reverse it or power out. When Miz jumps off the middle of the ropes he is met with European Uppercut. Cesaro goes for the Big Swing but when he lifts Miz up, Miz is able to reach out for the ropes and hold on for dear life. Cesaro goes to grab Miz’s hands but the champ propels the challenger through the ropes to the floor. Cesaro is annoyed as he gets back in the ring but the second he does, Miz rolls Cesaro up and puts his foot on the ropes. The ref doesn’t see Maryse hold her husband’s foot there and counts the 1…2….3.
