  1. Not trying to be rude, since I do appreciate you trying to help. But this is the "give me rules" thread, not the "booking committee" thread.
  2. Does anyone have a render that looks like this, but in a more modern style? I think it has a distinctive look without needing any gimmicks. But it's a little dated at this point if I'm going to use it for a major part of my company.
  3. I'm going to assume you mean "What does UC mean?" because I already explained who it is. UC means User Character, as in the person who you're playing as.
  4. But even then, it's still at best going to be equal. I'm almost convinced there has to be something the handbook isn't saying, like how Consistent gives a bonus if you manage to get good results. Because Highlights, unless I'm missing something, is objectively bad and you never want it.
  5. I'm confused about what you're saying here. Both Regular and Highlights focuses use the same number of angles, the top 3 rated. Highlights: Average of the top 3 angles. Regular: 70% of the highest angle, 20% of the second, and 10% of the third. Since, by definition, the highest rated angle is going to be better than any of the others, Regular just seems straight-up better. If you have three high-rated angles, then yeah, they'll be about the same, but Highlights will literally never actually be better.
  6. I really love this overall, but I have to say that WWR seems a bit... ridiculous. I get that that's sort of the whole idea, but it still seems over-the-top. 60+ pop? $500+ million in the bank? Maxed out production values? TCW is literally owned by a toy company and it only has level 9 merchandising to start. How does a company like that even form? And it seems like it might struggle at first because almost all of the workers big enough to fit a Medium company will already have been signed.
  7. Great Lakes. I don't have a specific roster in mind, more criteria. They need to have decent Charisma and a good look. Entertainment skills help, but they're not 100% necessary. And if I can think of fun gimmicks for them, that's obvious a huge plus. I do have a short list of people I'm definitely looking at. Aldous Blackfriar Fro Sure Garry The Entertainer Joffy Laine Xavi Ferrera Young & Wasted (maybe as singles competitors at first, not sure if I'll have a proper tag division) Zippy Deverell I've also got a few custom wrestlers that I'm almost certainly going to sign, including one with a vampire gimmick and one who's Santa Claus.
  8. Is Highlights just straight-up worse than Regular when it comes to angle focus? Reading the handbook, that's what it sounds like. Both of them are based on the top 3 angles, but Regular focus makes it so that the higher-rated angle is worth more in the calculation, so it will give better (or at least equal) results every single time.
  9. Restarting a game I tried to do a while back. I actually mentioned it in this thread, but never got a response. I'm doing a custom company in the CVerse. The product is Comic Book Light with a strict face/heel divide and integrated wrestling. I'm starting with Tiny size and $50,000 in the bank. The UC is a custom non-wrestler with good entertainment skills. I think I'm going to start right away with a short TV show and may or may not also do events.
  10. Is there any way to check what database items (workers specifically) are in one database and not another? I generally try to create standalone databases with new workers I make, but there's apparently one unaccounted for.
  11. So here's what I have so far: BPW -> Pseudo Sport (inspired by this thread) CWW -> Catch Wrestling (seemed like the most fitting one to give it to) DIW -> Hardcore Evolved (it's not a perfect fit, but I thought it made the most sense of any of the hardcore alternatives) DSPW -> Campy Fun ELITE -> Xtreme Adult Filth (I thought it fit the description and that freed up Stoner Hardcore to give to someone else) MAW -> Modern Throwback (inspired by this thread) OCW -> Hokey Southern Rasslin (inspired by this thread) OLLIE -> Historic Lucha Libre (inspired by this thread) PSW -> Gory Hardcore (helps distinguish the hardcore US feds, and this one just felt like it fit better) PWC -> Fast, Furious, Deadly (just felt fitting) RMW -> Carnival Days (the description mentions "old-school", face vs heels, and traditional, so this makes sense to me) SAW -> Skit Based (this doesn't actually add diversity, but it made sense to me) SNP -> Stoner Hardcore SWF -> Attitude Entertainment and RIPW -> Episodic Entertainment (the big names needed some more distinction) TIER 1 -> MMA Entertainment (inspired by this thread) VWA -> No-Style Style (the description talks about "anything goes") WINNOW -> Competitive Entertainment (inspired by this thread) YEPW -> Stunt Show Still looking for any other ideas people have, or feedback on the ones I've thought about so far.
  12. I understand what you're saying, but I'm still not sure I totally get the reasoning. So just because they're both family friendly, that makes up for having the exact opposite wrestling philosophy? Maybe it's just me, but I can't see how there'd be much audience overlap at all between Cartoon Wrestling and Catch Wrestling or Royal Puroresu.
  13. Hey, all. I'm back at this game after a while away, and this topic has interested me again. If anyone has any more ideas, feel free to shout them out. I have a few (both taken from this thread and ones I thought of on my own) that I'll post in the morning once I have time to put them togeter.
  14. Another bit of weirdness I found poking around: Wrestling Burlesque and Lucha Libre Burlesque are considered "extremely different", when as far as I can tell, they're literally the exact same product with some minor flavor differences.
  15. That may have been the wrong phrasing. But for each product, each other product is considered "extremely similar", "quite similar", "quite different", or "extremely different". It affects how easy it is to switch from one product to another.
  16. I didn't quite want to call this a bug, so I posted here instead of tech support. I've been skimming around some products, and I noticed something very weird about Cartoon Wrestling. Specifically, the product similarities. For some reason, a lot of the serious/sport/puro styles are in the "quite similar" category. Catch Wrestling, Pseudo Sport, and Respectful Wrestling, just to name a few. I don't see any reason why that would be the case based on the description and effects of Cartoon Wrestling.
  17. Double-spillover, I think. I would assume that you are gaining in your main region, just slowly.
  18. Not dead! I've played through two shows at this point, just an issue of real life taking the forefront for a bit. Here's a rundown of the tag division:
  19. Sorry for not responding earlier! The first one looks a little cramped when shrunk down to 150x150, but the second is great.
  20. I'm like 90% sure that it's not possible to get an mismatched gimmick that causes you to be unsuited to play your current disposition. I've never seen it, and it would sort of contradict the whole "it's assumed you give a gimmick that they can play" thing.
  21. Huh? I wasn't talking to you. That was a continuation of my previous comments.
  22. I don't know if literally anyone else will be able to get use out of them, but I liked the results too much to not post them: Jedi Fro Sure and Sith Zippy Deverell. Don't know who made the original renders, since I get them from all sorts of places.
