  1. Basically the entire MAW roster but especially guys I've loved in this most recent save so The Architect, George Wolfe, The Dynamite Express, Nate DeMarcus and Bradley Blaze. Outside of that I really want to see what happens with Logan Wolfsbaine, James Diaz and El Mitico Jr.
  2. So with losing three of my to stars within a few weeks in Anthony Smith, The Architect and my MAW Champion Danny Goodridge I needed to make big moves immediately at Night of the champions. As well as this following Night of Champions Roderick Remus walked out of the company due to being unhappy. This guaranteed that 2029 would be a full year of creating new stars and a changing of the guard. The Architect and Smith were in positions where I knew if they left then I wouldn't be that hurt but losing someone that puts up high 80s to low 90s in in-ring performances and 100 A* promos is always going to hurt. The main loss was Danny Goodridge who as I said had just won the MAW Title and had about 6 months of plans thrown out the window. Therefore, I had to crown a new champion and I chose for the time being to put the title on Austin Smooth for a 2nd time. This is the 2nd time that Smooth has won a title when we're in a rebuilding process as he is a good hand but not one of the best on the roster. At the RCI I needed to start the new build so I brought in a lot of good young talent with solid potential and also started to build up some of my midcarders and lower midcarders. I have brought in Chad David, Ronald Carvill, Shunso Yamakage, Oscar Holmes, Esteban Sainz, Kenneth Nash, Jack Gumble and Davey St. Pierre. All of these have had a part to play so far. Ricky Muscles won the tournament, defeating Tommy Cornell Jr. in the final. Ricky Muscles then became MAW Champion 3 months later, winning a triple threat involving Austin Smooth and Tommy Cornell Jr and will walk into Where it all begins again to face George Wolfe who has never held that title and wants to hold it before he retires. The plan is to have George Wolfe have this emotional title victory only to be cashed in on by his longtime best friend, tag partner and protégé Bowden Snoop who will win the first ever "The Ultimate Opportunity" (MITB) match earlier that night. Bowden has some fantastic stats but it may be a bit too sudden of a push, we will see. As for the American title, Marcos Pascual took the title in march from Shozo Katoaka and will defend it against the recently returned Jose Caballero at Where it all begins again. Jose has been out for like 7/8 months after Pascual hit him with a Mexican Destroyer on the steel stage. Jose will win the title, they will have one blow off match against each other at Night of the champions and then I plan on Jose hopefully having a very long reign with that title. I can't believe this. Literally as I was typing this USPW have put in written contract offers to James Diaz and Nate DeMarcus. Nate isn't that big of a loss as he has been a bit wayward over the past year but Diaz is a huge loss. I know I said I wanted more of my guys signed but it feels like everyone is leaving at once. Some big things might need to happen very quickly. Edit 1: So far my efforts to replace Diaz and DeMarcus have not gone well. The two have now left after facing each other at Battle of the mid atlantic one last time. I first tried to bring in Greg Gauge from USPW in a "You took ours so we'll take yours" deal but he ended up choosing SWF over us. I then tried to sign Logan Wolfsbaine from SWF and bloody USPW swooped in and signed him up within two days. For 13 years USPW have let us be and never touched us and now this, shows we're finally starting to look like a threat. I will keep looking for replacements Edit 2: I've done it. My newest signee and returning after a long absence is former MAW champion El Mitico Jr. The first person I've signed to a written deal and since we are so close I think I will have him re-debut at Where it all begins again. I cant wait to do him vs Ernesto Diez who basically picked up exactly from where El Mitico left off with amazing performances. This is seriously the best save I've ever had Edit 3: Plans have changed. I did not trust Bowden Snoop as MAW Champion or George Wolfe vs Ricky Muscles for the main event of the biggest show of the year so now the plan is for Wolfe to win "The Ultimate opportunity" while Tommy Cornell Jr will conquer Ricky Muscles to become champion. Then following the match, Wolfe who has felt he was screwed out of that title for months and lost a number one contendership match to Cornell at the last show, will then turn heel and spear the hell out of Cornell, cash in his opportunity and become MAW Champion for the first time in his career. I don't know if I will have Snoop turn with him and become a small annoying heel or have him feud with Wolfe over the title.
  3. Literally a week in game after I typed this, two of my stars were offered contracts. The Architect is off to Burning Hammer and in a shocking move, Anthony Smith has finally been signed to a written deal by RAW of all companies. Hopefully someone comes in for Diaz soon as well Edit: One week later and Raw have took someone else and this time it'smy brand new MAW Champion Danny Goodridge which has thrown a spanner in the works. I will extend his contract to keep him around until Night of the champions but it means he will have to drop that title straight away

Haley Buck was really good for me in MAW</p>
  5. <p>We're in 2028 with MAW as the incredible save rolls on and I have just ran where it all begins again. Last time I talked about the 2026 Where it all begins again show where Acid II became a 2 time MAW Champion defeating Nate DeMarcus and then in the main event Anthony Smith defeated James Diaz to become COTT World Heavyweight Champion for the first time in his career. At the time I was considering where to go for the next year and in the end I went in a pretty similar direction to where I was considering at the time. "The Destroyer" Beneteau defeated Acid II to become MAW Champion in about March or April of 2027 and then also beat him in the rematch. Acid II looked to build his way back up though and at The battle of the mid Atlantic he won a Gauntlett match to challenge Beneteau at WIABA 2027. However, Beneteau wanted something more on the line and said that if he wins then he wants the mask of Acid II. Beneteau won the match and took the mask, meaning for the last year of his MAW Career Acid II would go by his original indie name of Christopher Bain. In the main event of the show was Anthony Smith vs James Diaz, for the third time main eventing a WIABA show but this time the roles were reversed. At the Sam Keith Classic, Anthony Smith had cheated to beat James Diaz after a 30 minute all star bout which led to a double turn. 2027 RCI winner Diaz finally got his hands on Smith at the biggest show of the year and for the first time he defeated Smith to become a 3 time COTT World Champion. In the first match of the show, The Dynamite Express lost their COTT Tag Team Titles to the team of Mutant and Aldous Blackfriar and then announced this would be their final ever appearance in MAW, putting an end to a 16+ year career in the company. They had been teammates, rivals and then teammates once more, having 5 runs as MAW Tag Champions (the most in history) and two reigns as COTT Tag champs and now they said goodbye to make space for more new talent to come through. As well on this show we saw Shozo Katoaka who had a real breakthrough year defeat Jose Cruz to become MAW American Champion. Following the show we had two big returns as Roderick Remus would make a return after being released by SOTPBW and The Architect was released by SWF after a 2 year run which was disappointing to see. There were quite a few breakout stars this year. Jose Cruz shone as American Champion, Bowden Snoop had a great underdog route to the finals of the RCI where he lost to James Diaz and then built on that through the year, Norman Brendon and Ben Bagwell debuted in January at the RCI and then had a great rivalry against each other throughout the year. They then became a tag team in the next year and just became tag champions.</p><p> </p><p> The next year the Rip Chord Invitational was won by Danny Goodridge as he defeated Johnny Helmsley in the final. Helmsley is one of the guys who probably should have been MAW Champion by now and his time may have even passed. Meanwhile with Goodridge, I made it my goal this year to utilize him to the best of my ability and he would be the one to go on and end the dominant MAW Title run of Beneteau at Where it all begins again 2028. Also on the show we had two "Brothers" face off as Marcos Caballero faced Jose Caballero. They came into this year as 2 time MAW Tag Champions and they were shocked in January when Felipe Caballero, their mentor and third partner, returned from a year long injury with rookie Eugenio Caballero alongside him and he said that he felt The Caballeros had gone soft (They had turned face last year to end the title reign of Sonny Wildside and Andrew Berik, No Remorse.) They feuded across the year and Felipe and Eugenio became tag champions at one point and said that if The Caballeros wanted their rematch, they must win the Sam Keith Classic. They did just that, defeating Jose Cruz and The Architect in the final and then won the tag team titles in the main event of The Clash, just a month before WIABA. However, following them becoming 3 time tag champs Marcos would superkick Jose and throw his titles on top of them. He then took a mic and said he hated being a tag team and that he wasn't even a real Caballero and he was really Marcos Pascual. He challenged his fake brother to a TLC match at the next show and said that the winner should get a MAW Title Shot which he won after low blowing Jose and hitting him with a Mexican Destroyer. This decision was made because Jose has some fantastic stats and I see real potential in him being a breakout singles star. This does leave Marcos in a sort of Janetty role but I feel he could still become as good as Jose is now. </p><p> </p><p> Due to those shocking events, MAW owner Sean McFly announced that the titles were vacant and the opener of WIABA was a fatal 4 way for the titles where Ben Bagwell and Norman Brendon won the tag titles for the first time in their careers. Also on the show, James Diaz went to war with his former tag team partner Nate DeMarcus in the Match of the night, George Wolfe lost to Anthony Smith, Tommy Cornell Jr. defeated Roderick Remus, Shozo Katoaka defeated Quentin Queen to retain his MAW American title and in a very emotional encounter Austin Smooth made Christopher Bain tap out to end the MAW Career of the former two time MAW Champion, one time tag champion and two time World champion. </p><p> </p><p> Not too sure about where I go next now but as always it's about building the next generation and continue to make new stars. I have quite a few young wrestlers who should probably breakout over the next couple of years and I am hoping in the next two years or so to make Ricky Muscles and Tommy Cornell Jr. both MAW Champions. I think next year I will have Marcos Pascual become American champion and then have him and Jose Caballero feud over that title. I want to start letting a few people go as well so over the next 2 years I will likely let Roderick Remus and The Architect go, George Wolfe will likely leave and I am hoping that finally some of my guys will be signed to the major companies. James Diaz, Anthony Smith and Ernesto Diez definitely should have all been signed by now.</p>

  7. I DID IT. The year is 2027 and MAW is Cult. It was taking so long building up my pop in the Great Lakes that it would have took me another 5 years to reach it so I started doing a weekly show there which I auto-booked and now at the first week of February, I am a Cult promotion. I am expecting to struggle here for a bit because TCW is also Cult but even reaching this point is insane to me. Being Cult also means that if I wanted to, I could tie down my top stars like James Diaz and Anthony Smith to written deals but to me this isn't how MAW should be. I really enjoy being the company that builds up the future and then lets them go to other companies so I have capped our size growth at Cult and I will not be making a TV show as personally this is not how I would enjoy MAW. Speaking of James Diaz and Anthony Smith, 2026 was another banger of a year for them. Last year James Diaz became World Champion at night of the champions while Anthony Smith won the main event of Where it all begins again to become a 2 time MAW Champion. Both men are giving out 100 A* promos every time and by the end of the year Anthony Smith had a 95 in ring performance which is bloody insane. Another man who had a great year was Acid II who for a long time has been the main eventer that puts over the future but as it was 10 years since he won my first ever rip chord invitational, I decided to do a redemption story with him and it ended up being one of my favourite stories I've done yet. He won the RCI for the 2nd time, 10 years after the last, by defeating the really promising youngster Ricky Muscles in the final and then went on to defeat James Diaz for the World Title at Fan Festival. However, in his first defense against the former champion he would lose that title back to Diaz following interference from James Diaz's friend Nate DeMarcus and later in the show DeMarcus would shock the world as with the help of James Diaz, he defeated Anthony Smith to become MAW Champion. This is something that I am really proud of as in my last save DeMarcus was one of the guys released within a year but this time around I have built him into a star and his alliance with Diaz just shot him to that next level which allowed him to become MAW Champion. The outcomes of this show led to our two Where it all begins again main events. The first of which saw the MAW Title on the line as Nate DeMarcus defended against the legendary Acid II while our main event of our biggest show of the year for the 2nd time in 3 years saw James Diaz defending his COTT World title against Anthony Smith. The first main event saw Acid II overcome the size disadvantage and cap off a great year by becoming MAW Champion for the 2nd time in his career while in the main event, Anthony Smith would defeat James Diaz once more and for the first time in his career he was a World Heavyweight champion. The plans right now aren't set in stone as to what will happen but with the MAW Title I am planning on Acid II losing it to 'The Destroyer' Beneteau and then losing a rematch and when he wants one more shot, Beneteau wants something put on the line as well so Acid II puts up his mask. I have yet to decide if he will lose his mask or win back the title for a 3rd time but either way it is sure to be emotional. As for the World Title, currently the plans are for them to main event Where it all begins again for the 3rd time once more but this time the roles will be reversed. After years of being the valiant underdog and fan favourite, Anthony Smith will turn heel on James Diaz and turn Diaz face in the process and they will have their final ever match against each other at Where it all begins again 2027, ending their insane rivalry with a James Diaz win. Honestly though, I just love this save so much and it's probably my favourite TEW save I've ever done

  11. It's fair to say that 2025 is the year that MAW became the best promotion in the world led by the insane performances of James Diaz, Ernesto Diez and Anthony smith. This time last year I was celebrating us equalling our best ever match with a 78 B and then this year we went and smashed it out the park by beating it 8 times and equalling it once. This is the year James Diaz went mad as he started getting 100 A* ratings for all his entertainment angles and over the course of the year he went for C- minus popularity to 86 B+ pop despite the fact we are still not a Cult company. If he doesn't get signed very soon it would be really unrealistic as in the Mid Atlantic region he is one of the most over in the world. As well as him going insane, January saw the debut into the world of 18 year old Tommy Cornell Jr. and I did something I don't do very often and edited it so that he would not go to 21CW as his dad had left their in controversial circumstances and I don't see his son going there because of that. Also, I just really wanted to use him. So in January there was only one option to win the Rip Chord Invitational and that was Tommy Cornell Jr. who beat Travis Funk, Jose Cruz (New signing), Ricky Muscles and then Japanese legend Eien Miyamoto in the final to be my 9th winner of the tourney. The ratings weren't great but right from the start Cornell Jr came in as one of my top guys. At the Wrestling Classic our main event saw the tag team titles change for the first time in nearly two years as Smooth Heartbreak defeated The Caballeros to become MAW Tag Team Champions for the first time in their careers. Super Showdown was a huge show for us as the main event was a Super Showdown indeed. Anthony Smith would put his MAW Title on the line against the former champion James Diaz and the man who had won number one contendership at Night of the champions, Ernesto Diez. In an 82 B and what was at that point the best match in MAW History, Ernesto Diez would shock the world and become MAW Champion ending Smiths reign before it really got the chance to take off. Also, on this show we had a 77 B as Tommy Cornell Jr. defeated Ricky Muscles. Next up was Americana and we would have another sensational match as the two losers from the triple threat last month, James Diaz and Anthony Smith, battled for the number one contendership to that MAW Title. In a fantastic 81 B James Diaz would get revenge on Smith for Where it all begins again and get himself a future rematch for the MAW Title. Old School Rules was main evented by two of our biggest stars facing off as Tommy Cornell Jr defeated Bradford Peverell in a great 77 B. Another B rated match came next month as Ernesto Diez picked up a huge victory over James Diaz to retain his MAW Title for the first time in an 81 B. And then following the match Danny Goodridge confronted Ernesto Diez wanting to be the next challenger for the title only for James Diaz to start beating him down. However, Diaz' long time rival Nate DeMarcus came down to make the save only for DeMarcus to make a shocking heel turn and ally himself with James Diaz. This was what Nate needed as since he lost his American Title he has been pretty lost but since the heel turn he has been becoming really good and I am considering putting the MAW Title on him next year although there are a lot of heels that I want to put that title on at this point. The next shois one of my least favourite shows of the year if I'm going to be completely honest: The Sam Keith Classic. However, I really enjoyed this years show as this year I have focused on revitalizing our pretty meh tag team division. The winner of the tournament this year ended up being the team of Danny Goodridge and Tommy Cornell Jr. as they defeated James Diaz and Nate DeMarcus in the finals. The main event of the Battle of the Middle Atlantic was a MAW Championship match and another 78 B as Ernesto Diez retained his title against Danny Goodridge following interference from Nate DeMarcus. Also on this show Quentin Queen defeated the first ever 2 time Mid Atlantic American title Beneteau to take the title away from him. Last year him and Cameron Jones traded the title back and forth but since then he had been dominant and Queen came in and rolled him up to take that title. Our final show before Where it all begins again was The Clash and we had a great show that began with an 80 B as James Diaz defeated Danny Goodridge closely followed by a 72 B- as Tommy Cornell Jr. defeated Nate DeMarcus. Then, in the semi main event we had a 78 B as Anthony Smith defeated Bradford Peverell to let him go to the Where it all begins again main event for the 2nd year in a row. The main event ended up only being a 76 B- as Ernesto Diez retained his MAW Title against Hurakan meaning next month's Where it all begins again main event is Ernesto Diez vs Anthony Smith for the MAW Title. I'll post about Where it all begins again tomorrow or this would be far too long

  13. <p>So over the past few months I've been doing my second playthrough of MAW on this game and it's already gone much further than the last one did. Now in 2025 this has been maybe my favourite save I've done on TEW2016. I've took it fairly slow and decided to push different people this time around which meant no signing Scythe and having him hold the MAW Title for 2 plus years and another thing I did was not sell the dojo and turned on new workers generated immediately. It's been a pretty slow build over 9 years tbh as I have stuck with the MAW way of building people up to try and get them signed and then move people on when they are experienced enough.</p><p> </p><p> Of course it starts with the Rip Chord invitational tournament and I immediately did something different from last time by having it being won by Acid II who was just a tag team guy for me last time around. Since then the winners have been:</p><p> </p><p> 2017-American Patriot (2)</p><p> 2018-Cameron Jones</p><p> 2019-Fro Sure</p><p> 2020-The Architect</p><p> 2021-The Architect (2)</p><p> 2022-Reilly Patton</p><p> 2023-Johnny Helmsley (regen)</p><p> 2024-Anthony Smith (regen)</p><p> 2025-Tommy Cornell Jr.</p><p> </p><p> MAW World Title history:</p><p> </p><p> October 2015-December 2016: Greg Gauge</p><p> December 2016-May 2018: Acid II</p><p> May 2018-December 2018: El Mitico Jr</p><p> December 2018-April 2019: Cameron Jones</p><p> April 2019-October 2020: El Mitico Jr (2)</p><p> October 2020-June 2021: Fro Sure</p><p> June 2021-August 2022: The Architect</p><p> August 2022-October 2022: Charger Siaki</p><p> October 2022-October 2023: Austin Smooth</p><p> October 2023-October 2024: James Diaz</p><p> October 2024-Current: Anthony Smith (My first ever main champion that has came through the MAW Dojo. The Architect just recently signed with SWF, Greg Gauge is at USPW, El Mitico Jr and Roderick Remus are at SOTBPW, Logan Wolfsbaine and Ernest Youngman went to RIPW, American Elemenental II signed with TCW, Hugh De Aske and Storm Spillane left for Burning Hammer and most other people were released</p>
  14. MAW Where it all begins again 2024 is in the books and I truly believe this is the best show we have ever done with our main event being the joint best match in the history of the save with a 78 B. The opening match was a fatal 4 way for the MAW Tag Team Titles as the champions The Caballeros (Jose and Marcos) defeated Blaze and Collier, Dennis York and Reilly Patton and Smooth Heartbreak (Austin Smooth and Bret Heartbreak) to make the 6th successful defence of their titles and to continue their now year plus reign with the belts. Initially the plan here was to put the titles on Smooth Heartbreak who won the Sam Keith Classic but I thought that I would have the reign just go a bit longer. Great opener. 62 C Our 2nd match was a good match and the biggest win in Xavi Ferrara's MAW career as he picked up a huge scalp over former MAW Champion Acid II. This didn't have much build to it but did it's purpose well. 58 C- Next up after two longer matches we had a shorter, cooldown match as former MAW American champion Nate DeMarcus defeated Mutant in what will turn out be Mutant's last match in the company. He's been solid for the most part and always puts out decent ratings but with some new talent starting to get real good from the dojo, I felt it was the right time to move him on and allow someone else to move up. 60 C After this we had the debut of a well hyped up wrestler Hurakan as he debuted against one of the bigger stars in the company and a former Rip Chord Invitational winner Johnny Helmsley. A big win here for Hurakan albeit by roll-up immediately portrays Hurakan as a big player here and shows that he will be a star for us. 43 D Next up is what I imagine to be our mid-show main event before an interval as two former friends, tag partners and tag champions turned bitter rivals Travis Funk and Fro Sure went to war inside of a steel cage. The two share a victory apiece so far after the turn back in January with Travis Funk picking up the first win with his new vicious submission finisher The Funk Lock before Fro Sure got one back at The Battle of the Mid Atlantic. Now this time it was the decider, one the biggest stage and it ended up being their best match and the best match of the night so far as Travis Funk picked up the victory with a moonsault from the top of the cage to establish himself as a star. Funk is one of the dojo graduates who has been around for a long time but hasn't been in the main event picture. With a few people stepping aside this is his and a few others time to really step up and show how good they are. I don't think he will be MAW Champion over the next year or so but he will definitely be in and around the main event scene. As for Fro Sure, like with Mutant he has been good for us but will step aside for the next guys to step up. 63 C Coming back from the break we had our second of three title matches on the night and an absolute banger of a match as "The Destroyer" Beneteau (A regen) retained his MAW American Title against Cameron Jones in just a brutal hoss fight. Ever since Beneteau won the title from Nate DeMarcus earlier this year he has been improving massively and put up a 72 in ring performance here tonight which was only bettered by our MAW Champion himself. Cameron Jones is a former MAW Champion and is great for putting over the new upcoming talent like Benetau and the two delivered a great match here. It's fair to say that Beneteau is definitely a future MAW Champion and it could definitely be this time next year that he holds the main title because he is that damn good. There's a few, including him, that until this point I had not seen in ring performances from outside of El Mitico Jr and now we have multiple people at that level which is great. 72 B- Following on from this we had a great showcase match as TCW alumn Danny Goodridge, who has been having a good year and put up some great performances, defeated former MAW Champion The Architect. This wasn't intended to be a farewell for The Architect but about a week after this I got an email saying that he had been given an offer by SWF which I was delighted to see. He has been fantastic for us and while he was one of the last MAW originals, he has done everything possible with the company and has only been used sparingly for a while. I am really happy to see him finally get signed as in my last MAW save he was one of the few guys that I loved to never get an offer from a big company and that is what MAW is for. 68 C+ Our semi main event saw 4 of the biggest stars in the company facing off in tag team action as the heel team of Ernesto Diez and Felipe Caballero defeated the older face duo of Bradford Peverell and George Wolfe. This match had very little build and was just a way of getting 4 main eventers on the card but it delivered the joint second best match of the night and served a purpose in the end anyway. Diez is something that I have been high on for a while and was runner up in both the Rip Chord Invitational and the Sam Keith Classic tournaments this year. I have already decided that he will be the next MAW Champion but I have yet to decide when this will happen. His performances right now remind me so much of El Mitico Jr at the start of the save. 72 B- As I said earlier the main event was the joint best match ever in the save and I expected it to do really well because it's a match I have been waiting to do now for about two years. James Diaz walks in the Mid Atlantic champion with still only one defeat in his entire MAW career and having been champion for an entire year by this point with some great wins over Austin Smooth, George Wolfe and Bradford Peverell solidifying his incredible reign. His opponent is a Mid Atlantic Boot Camp Dojo graduate, a man who came into the industry in the end of 2016 and has been steadily improving ever since then and has been a fantastic face for us. At the start of this year he won the Rip Chord Invitational, beating Ernesto Diez in the final and decided to take his title shot here on the biggest stage in the best match possible. It was a long 20 minute war between the two but in the end it ended up being the Dojo graduate that walked out as MAW Champion giving Diaz his second loss and completing his journey to the top. This was huge for me because never before have I had a dojo graduate become so good that he can be the main champion on my show and this whole story, his whole run just felt so good for me. Incredible story, incredible main event and an incredible end to what was an incredible show. 78 B Moving forward it is all about building up the next generation again. We have a few faces moving on with a few to go in the next year and we have some graduates and some signings that are really starting to build themselves up well and will be big in a couple of years. Next year will be a big one for the company.
  15. I read that note at the end wrong at first and thought this was the end of the save. Thank god it's not though because it's a really good dynasty and another really good show tonight. While the rating wasn't great for that main event, it was fantastic to read and sounds like it would be awesome to watch. Keep it up man

  18. At Proving Ground James Diaz started the show by saying that nobody could stop him but now that he is MAW champion, he knows nobody can beat him for the American title so he will give other people a chance to hold that title. Then, we had an 8 man one night tournament and in the main event we crowned our new American champion in Nate DeMarcus. DeMarcus has turned into a very solid worker and I feel like he will make for a great champion, even if the plan is for him to lose it early on next year to Benetau. As for his tag partner Tyrone Gray I am not too sure what to do with him as he isn't really on the level of DeMarcus and it looks likely that he will be released within the next year sadly.
  19. <p>Where it all begins again 2023 is in the books and after one of my favourite years in this save ever, it was only fitting that this was one of the best overall shows I have done so far. This year after the departures of El Mitico Jr and Roderick Remus, it was all about creating new stars as is the MAW way. That meant that after winning the title last year, Austin Smooth spent this year solidifying his title reign with wins over George Wolfe, Mutant, Felipe Caballero and Johnny Helmsley (a regen). With the Mid Atlantic American title, James Diaz continued his completely dominant reign and he walked into the big show with a reign that is over 2 years and 13 defences and he wanted to do something unprecedented. After having only one loss in his MAW career to Austin Smooth he wanted to amend that on the biggest stage and with both titles on the line, our main event was James Diaz vs Austin Smooth. In a solid 67 C+, James Diaz picked up the victory to become a double champion and continue his dominance. The plan is for him to vacate the American title and Proving Ground will see an 8 man tournament to determine the next champion.</p><p> </p><p> Our opening match of the night saw The Architect defeat Ricky DeColt in a really good match. Ricky was brought in at the start of the year as he was available and he could do well to help improve my younger talent but it turned out that he wasn't too great and suffered from declining physical ability. Despite this he still put up decent performances so we had him used sparingly and in the Sam Keith Classic he was asked by The Architect to be a team but after losing the final Architect attacked him leading to this match here. Ricky was not happy about losing but I was letting him go after this anyway so screw him.</p><p> </p><p> Next up so another two people not happy about taking a loss but they were also leaving as I look to freshen up the roster and make it younger overall. The Caballeros would retain their newly won MAW tag team championships against the 2 time Sam Keith Classic winners The Ring Generals in a loser leaves match. The Ring Generals have been great but they are both older and I feel like our tag division is stacked enough that moving them on doesn't hurt us too much.</p><p> </p><p> Our 3rd match saw Felipe Caballero who has been one of the MVP's of the past two years lost to newcomer Dennis York, a young wrestler who has just been released by TCW after coming through their Dojo. He is really good and this match was the joint best of the night.</p><p> </p><p> Up next, a brutal war between former tag partners turned rivals when Mutant battled George Wolfe. Mutant helped Wolfe become World Champion and retain that title but over the past few years it's just been disappointment after disappointment until the two just started brawling with each other and that continued in this match. In the end the former world champion Wolfe would pick up the victory and the plan is to go forward with Wolfe vs Diaz for the MAW Title.</p><p> </p><p> Following a filler 6 man tag team match, we saw another two men who were former teammates going head to head as Anthony Smith defeated Elliot Thomas in revenge for Thomas just walking out on him in the first round of the Sam Keith Classic.</p><p> </p><p> Moving on was a surprisingly short match as a man who has been on an absolute tear over the past months continued his incredible run of dominance when "The Destroyer" Benetau defeated a former Rip Chord Invitational winner in Reilly Patton. Benetau is putting up fantastic in ring performances and he will probably win the American title next year.</p><p> </p><p> After this, we had a Last Man Standing match as two of the biggest men on the roster went to war as two former MAW Champions battled. After having two matches end in DQ prior to this, the only way for Charger Siaki and Cameron Jones to end their brutal rivalry was in a Last Man Standing match and in the end it was Charger Siaki that picked up the win.</p><p> </p><p> The semi main event was an open challenge for the COTT Heavyweight title as Bradford Peverell wanted to face one of the best in the world. His open challenge would be accepted by a former CGC and TCW wrestler in Intrepid Ian Identity and in shocking fashon, it would be Ian Identity that in his first ever appearance in any of the territories walked out victorious and as the world heavyweight champion.</p><p> </p><p> Then in the main event we had that fantastic James Diaz vs Austin Smooth match. Two men that are going to be huge stars and will definitely be in a big company within a couple of years. Also James Diaz is putting in some of the best performances in the company and he is just 22 years old which is insane to me.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> I'm interested to see if anyone gets signed over the next year as there are some that I feel are definitely in the position to get signed but aside from Remus and Mitico there haven't been that many signings in a while from me. We'll see what happens</p>
  20. Today is a sad day. Just two weeks before Where it all begins again 2022 SOTBPW came calling and signed both El Mitico Jr and Roderick Remus to written deals and they were the two men putting up my best in ring performances. Luckily I had been prepared for this situation for a long time and neither men had big matches at Where it all begins again. Where it all begins again 2022 was a good show if a bit unspectacular compared to recent years as I try to build up the newer stars to replace the older ones. In the opener, Fro Sure and Travis Funk (A regen) defeated The Destroyers (Mutant and George Wolfe) to retain their MAW Tag Team Titles. The plan was for them to retain against El Mitico Jr and his protégé Bradley Blaze but plans had to be changed. James Diaz continued his dominant run as American champion by defeating Cali Slick and with a 67 C+ it ended up being the match of the night. James Diaz is really damn good. Next up, the 2022 Rip Chord Invitational winner Reilly Patton defeated The Architect after a month prior The Architect lost his MAW title in a triple threat involving Patton to Charger Siaki. Patton ended up being a meh winner but he is starting to show his talent now. Next up, The Caballeros (literally just a trio of Felipe, Marcos and Jose Caballero) defeated The Ring Generals and Anthony Smith (Regen). This was meant to be The Ring Generals and Roderick Remus but he left as well. Next up was a heartfelt encounter as Acid II defeated his mentor and the original Acid in a mask vs career match to end the career of Acid. The semi main event saw Bradford Peverell defeating Marvel Malloy to become a 2 time world champion. The main event wasn't great as we saw Charger Siaki lose his MAW Championship to Austin Smooth. This was kind of a panic decision as with losing my two top faces I had to build up more faces which is why Smooth and also Reilly Patton won tonight.
  21. El Mitico Jr has 36 of my top 50 matches in Mid Atlantic Wrestling in the year 2021. The dude is a god. He got a 78 B in the main event of Where it all begins again 2019 which to me is just absolutely insane
  22. <p>'The Stud' Christian Price [vs] <strong>'The Animal' Edd Stone</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong> Hotstuff (Jay B & Buff Martinez)</strong> [vs] POISON & Aldous Blackfriar</p><p> </p><p> The Ring Generals (Dean Waldorf & Marv Statler) [vs]<strong> Rebel Pirates (Wade Orson & Trent Shaffer)</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong>'Country Strong' KC Glenn </strong>[vs] 'Gentleman' Lord James King</p><p> </p><p> 'The Hillbilly Heartthrob' Solomon Gold [vs] <strong>'The Notorious' Sayeed Ali</strong></p><p> </p><p> Donte Dunn & Akima Brave [vs] <strong>Jacob Jett & Seeker</strong></p>
  23. So with TEW 2020 just around the corner I decided to once more just go for one more MAW save in the C-Verse but this time I wanted to push some guys who I never did last time and to maybe use some guys less than last time. In my first MAW save I went pretty generic with my main guys being pushed i.e Giant Brody, Fro Sure, George Wolfe, The Architect etc. This time I immediately started off on a new foot as Acid II won the Rip Chord invitational 2016 when he defeated Gino Montero in the finals. Last time out, I only used Acid sparingly as a tag team guy and he had one reign as a tag team champion with Devil May Care. Acid is now my MAW champion as he won that title in December 2016, ending the reign of Greg Gauge following the interference of his new manager Brittney Hollywood. Since then he has retained that title against very big opponents in Gauge, El Mitico Jr, La Sombra Jr, Ernest Youngman at Where it all begins again and most recently he defeated the 2017 winner of the RCI Bulldozer Brandon Smith following interference from his debuting tag team partner Stuntman. The plan is for him to drop the title at Old School Rules to El Mitico Jr as all his help is banned from ringside. Down in the tag team division, another immediate change was made as last time I went with an extremely long reign for The Dynamite Express before they lost those titles to the Puerto Rican boys. This time they lost those titles at American 2016 in shocking fashion when Nate DeMarcus and Tyrone Gray shocked them for a 3rd time and this time took their tag team titles. Months later The Dynamite Express cheated to win those titles back but not longer after that DeMarcus and Gray became two time champions and this time it was decisive, this time they didn't lose the titles in their first defense. I've been really enjoying using DeMarcus and Grey as now 2 and half years in they have developed into decent wrestlers and are having a really good feud with the team of Logan Wolfsbaine and George Wolfe. Now the tag titles are on The Ring Generals who where the team to end the reign of DeMarcus and Gray and are feuding with The Puerto Rican Boys. Last time around I just completely scrapped the Mid Atlantic American title but I decided to keep it around this time although the ratings for it so far haven't been very good at all. Hal Harvard had a very strong run with that title as he used his lackey Jonah Pilgrim to help him retain that title against the likes of Bradley Blaze, Cheetah Boy, Copperhead and Miller Fforde before losing that title to Bradley Blaze at Super Showdown when Blaze had put his MAW career on the line. Blaze wouldn't hold that title for very long though as at The Battle of the Mid Atlantic to the surprise of everyone and Hal Harvard, Jonah Pilgrim defeated Blaze to become the champion. This then led to months of jealousy from Harvard before he eventually turned on Pilgrim and they faced off at Where it all begins again with Harvard losing and having to leave the company for good. Since then the title hasn't really been used much as Pilgrim has only made one more successful defense and that was against Cheetah Boy but the plan is for Bradley Blaze to turn heel on him and face him for that title down the line. One of my big risks that I am taking is trying to make a main event star out of Cameron Jones. I don't know why I decided to do it because his stats are fairly unspectacular but I decided to give him a main event push. For most of 2017 he would have fairly short singles matches, crushing the lower card with ease. Then, in the 2018 Rip Chord Invitational he defeated 3 men to win the tournament. I am still yet to see if this experiment will work and I don't know if he will become MAW Champion but it has been interesting to do especially when last time I focused much more on his tag team partner, Syd Collier. There's a few faces still around that last time I released and left to rot like Copperhead and Miller Fforde and maybe in a few years they will develop into something pretty useful for me. As well as that, I turned on New Worker Generation from the start and have had one really good one come through the MAW Dojo that is slowly being built up but he definitely looks like a future MAW Champion
  24. Robin DaLay and Logan DeColt being known as The Sons Of Anarchy is really good. I hope that this is their full time tag team name
