1. Just downloaded the April mod, and the worker pack isn't working with it. All of the other graphics packs work.
 2. I've always wondered this, and it may be in the handbook although I haven't seen it, but what purpose do titles serve? Does winning/losing one enhance popularity losses/gains, and do defences enhance pop gains? Or, are they just a cosmetic feature?
 3.

Stop doing this?

It’s the same answer as before... it will be released when it is finished

Well worth the wait if it's as good as the 2013 version.

 4. Question: is a diary/dynasty simply recording your saves and sharing it to this forum or is there more to it than that? I've really been struggling for motivation to play this game lately, flitting between mods constantly. If I was writing around my save, I would probably have more motivation.

 6. I have five A stories and two B stories. A stories are played out on every other Raw, so all five are advanced within the "every other A show" rule. The B stories get advanced on B shows. I've not known them to lose heat. That show I posted before had three stories advanced. Pretty sure the requirement is for one or two to be advanced.

What's the Wrestling Industry like in your game right now? Any Production Values lower than the competition?

Production Values are top in everything, and I think, off the top of my head, that the wrestling industry is in the D's but is rising. Could be wrong about the industry, though.

This isn't a new thing. Been happening on this save for a while. I'll have consistent 80-90 segments with a 60-70 segment in there somewhere, but I pretty much never finish above 79 on TV. This was just the worst show rating I've had.

 9.
Just downloaded TheWho's Dec 2017 mod and fancy and I'm torn between doing a modern WWE save (which I haven't done in ages), an Impact save and a local to global. Anyone got any rules I can apply to whichever save I decide to go with? In particular, what should my aim be with a WWE save (I struggle to maintain WWE saves outside of the 90's as there is nothing to aim for or overcome)?

As a side note, I usually always have these rules in my games:

No worker with a push lower than midcarder can appear on an A show or outside a PPV pre-show.

Anyone with negative incidents is punished with a period of burial (you can set the lengths if you wish) and anyone with a positive incident receives a push for a set period.

No worker in time decline can win a main event title, and can only win floating or midcard titles if they are losing it within 2 months to a lower push worker.

Any other rules (or amendments to these) for any of the potential saves would be appreciated.

 10.
Just ran a Monday Night Raw on my 1994 save. I'll give you the breakdown.

Opening match - 80

Angle - 86

Match - 66

Angle - 90

Main Event - 81

Show Rating - 59

................. What!?!?

Size doesn't matter. The best thing you could do is just ride it out and not attempt to hotshot anything. Eventually your shows will just end up being better than theirs if you grow your roster well enough.

Also sometimes, if your rivals aren't located in the same region as you, they will not run shows there, and their popularity in the region will fall out of Regional Battle contention. Look for that too.

Or just turn them off...

Don't think I can ride it out. I'm nearly out of money. Oh well. Can't win 'em all.

 12. Can anyone explain to me why I'm being pulled into a regional battle when I am only a local company? I was well on my way to moving up to small, but now I am coming last in the battle and it is severely denting my company pop. Every month, I gain 1 pop, and then the battle takes it away again. How am I supposed to get out of local when this has happened?

Low heat storylines, low production values, not having enough women on the show, and not meeting the requirements of match ratio will lower your show ratings. I think there may be a couple more, but at the end of the show it'll tell you.

No, it doesn't say anything like that. I'm meeting all requirements of the show and I'm the industry leader in production values. That's what confused me. The only thing I can think of is that I'm second in the national battle, but I'm not sure that affects show ratings.

 14. Recently been putting on shows that get consistent B and A segment ratings, including the main event being a B and top angle being A, but my shows are getting rated at B-. This has been happening for the past few weeks in game. Are there any penalties that get applied to shows that work independently of the ratings therein?

You can find that info in Topic 36 of the Player's Handbook, which says the following:

"Every worker has hidden 'caps' on all his skills and popularity. These caps are generated at the start of each game based off a combination of the worker's stats, Destiny value, his pre-set potential, and randomness. This adds a unique flavour to every game and means not every worker can become a star.

All caps are conisdered 'soft'; this means that values can rise above the caps temporarily, but they will always eventually sink back down to that level. This also (intentionally) means it is not always obvious when a cap is reached."

I really think everyone, even the series veterans, could benefit from reading through the Player's Handbook more often. It contains tons of very useful info that would eliminate a lot of the questions asked in this thread.

Cheers. Very helpful.

I've read the handbook for a lot of things, but I haven't always found it helpful so I tend not to go there as a first port of call. However, I shall aim to use it more.

You were unlucky and his is too low on this save.

I thought workers were unable to pass their pop cap?

 17.
Is my game bugged?

I once got the Rock to 99 pop in my MA save file, but he dropped to 92 after a few losses. I thought I could build him back up, but now he cannot maintain pop. If he beats someone higher than him or wins/retains the title, he goes up by a few points in the National battle, so he is obviously gaining pop. However, if he is on a team that wins and he doesn't get the pin, his NB overness rating drops by a few points. If he is part of a solo angle that gets over his pop, he gains. If he is part of an angle with others, he loses pop. If he isn't on a show, even if it's a different brand, he loses pop. It wasn't a major issue when I was consistently beating WCW in the NB, but now his losses are causing me to drop further behind every week and the penalties for losing (which never applied to WCW) are now affecting my other top 5. So, is my game bugged or is there an in game mechanic that causes wrestler to lose pop for absolutely no reason?

 18. In my game, Montreal Aftermath, I'm in the year 2000. I've just finished Backlash. I have purchased ECW and started a brand split with them as my second brand. After beating WCW in the National Battle for 18 months consecutively, they have just taken over me in the rankings and have beaten me two months running. Unlike my 18 month run, though, their victories have actually penalised my wrestlers....

Thanks for the help, maaaaaaaan.

 20. Need a name for the team of Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho. I want to play on the story of Wrestlemania 19 that they were identical in the ring and were wrestling themselves. So, I've currently got Mirror Image or the Doppel Gang, but I don't think either suits them as characters (and the latter is just plain bad) and I feel like I should work for WWE Creative for being so bad at this...

That could change with time but from my own personal standpoint, I can't get behind the promotion anymore - and I know I'm not the only one. I think the damage done has been too extensive and for too long. They will never reach their earlier potential and are an Indie fed with some small international deals that could have been more but due to inept booking, terrible writing and the merry-go-round of heel/face turns seemingly weekly, nothing they do will capture my attention because I just don't care about the product they are releasing any more. I can see most of their roster on other shows - and better booked too so why waste my time?

If they still had Roode, Styles, Joe and Eric Young, then maybe they could have patched themselves up, but this new crop of "stars" are generic indie guy 544749 and very few of the roster has any character outside of being generic. Lashley is ok, and I think in terms of star power he is their top draw but Anthem are looking for a quick buck rather than looking long term - which will spell the end. If they were looking long term they would have invested in people like Magnus rather than trying to take 10% of their wrestlers outside booking fee. The deal should be if you use GFW intellectual property such as name trademarked to them then fine, but not as an out and out clause regardless. It's why they will struggle to get anyone of any value from the indie scene. TNA/Impact/GFW or whatever they will be called next month pretty much have no hope of ever reaching their initial potential. Even with JJ and Dutch back.

Sorry, went into ramble mode but as I'm not in the TNA thread I will say TheWho, I'm looking forward to seeing your alternate world data when complete.

I understand your skepticism. I'm a little skeptical with all of the false dawns and bad writing, but I'm holding out some hope because the bad writers and people responsible for ruining a company with huge potential are gone. The people that created a company I loved that seemed a genuine alternative to WWE are back at the helm now, so I'm hoping they do do some good. However, the brand may be too badly damaged to ever attract top talent, like you say, but signing Mundo and possibly signing Mysterio are positive first steps. These people are getting on, yes, and they can't be the focal point going forward, but they should have enough of a fanbase to get eyes on the product and hopefully that can lead on to better things. There is no telling, but your skepticism is certainly valid.

That said, the brand may be too damaged for anyone to salvage it. Hard to tell at this point.

 23.
Just wondering, with Jarrett back in control and Impact moving back towards a more performance based product, will that be reflected in the data or is GFW still doomed to failure because it is classed as a pop fed?

EDIT: Blimey, just looked through the data. Pretty harsh assessment of GFW. Regional promotion with only one wrestler touching C pop. Doomed to failure it is, lol. Oh well. I like a challenge.

 24. Does rehab ever work? In my 1997 save, I sent Goldust to rehab. He came back, was wasted in a match again and I fired him. He had a decent run in other feds and was getting a lot of positive news articles. I hired him back two years after firing him. He was wasted in a match. Rehab again. Three matches after returning, wasted and fired. Is there any point ever sending someone to rehab or is just cosmetic?
