When I was new to TEW, I didn't like that wages were inaccurate, so, not understanding the mechanics of the game, I manually set the wages of WCW, WWF and ECW using online sources. Needless to say, WCW were out of business in months. My bad...

All of my storylines are considered hot as they are the default, and I advanced four.

Just booked an episode of Raw. If someone can explain this to me... Main Event: HHH & SCSA v Goldust & Hart - 78 Segment 5: Angle feat. Sid and HBK - 81 Segment 4: Mankind v Rocky Maivia - 70 Segment 3: Angle with Taker, Mankind and Vader - 83 Segment 2: Taker v Sincere - 66 Opener: Angle with Bret, SCSA, Goldust and HHH - 91 Show rating - 58!?

Depends how you perceive a title, in my opinion. If you're more of the mind that belts represent the "top guys", as I do, then I think longer reigns fit well. Take WWE for example. In my opinion, the world title should be on the top guy in the company most of the time, and he should only occasionally drop it for storyline purposes, whereas the IC should be on the top worker who is then used to spotlight up and coming midcard talent, dropping it again occasionally for storyline purposes or when he outgrows the belt. For instance, if I was booking WWF in 1998, Austin wouldn't be dropping the belt to Kane for one night, but he would lose it closer to Mania so he can chase it to the main event. In line with that, Rock would be holding the IC until Summerslam and then Trips would be holding it until at least around about the Rumble. However, if you view belts as props in storylines, shorter reigns would be more suitable as you pass the belt to whoever needs it for the story to progress, but I personally thinks this devalues the belts and makes holding them worthless. The period you are booking should also be taken into account. If you're booking in the 80s and have fewer events, you'll naturally want longer reigns. If you're booking 12 PPVs and two weekly TV shows, a wrestler holding a title too long is going to become stale and needs more frequent changes to freshen up the title scene.

This is why I'm waiting for mods to reach a stage where major updates are done and dusted (stats, attributes, personality, future workers, broadcasters etc etc) to play them, otherwise it's an incomplete experience and will require multiple restarts.

Hopefully this product is truer to the real world counterpart than other products that have been created so far. Been far too partisan so far, in my opinion, particularly WWE-centric products.

I've gone out and signed some younger guys in the hope of rebuilding. Trusted the Hidden Gems section and signed Fro Sure and Ernest Youngman. Also signed Blackfriar. Not sure whether any of them will work out, but liked the look of their stats. Also want to get a backstage interviewer and maybe an authority figure. Any suggestions for young talent/personalities, or better to discover it solo?</p>

I don't think Superstars should be set as an A show. TV worked very differently back then. It was squash matches and interview segments to set up PPVs and house shows. Trying to replicate that type of booking will tank WWF pop, and has in my game. Also, this mod is also suffering from the limited product types preset into the game. Not the mod makers fault, but the world in 1991 is hard to replicate when matches over ten minutes get penalised and Rumble matches are pulling in 50-70 ratings even with big stars in them.

In my 2004 save, I was going to go ahead with Benoit winning the Rumble, but with Eddie having a groundswell of support, developing a new catchphrase and his merch sales getting a massive bump as a result, I took the opportunity and gave him the Rumble. Following that, he was my number two merch seller. I think it's a good tool to modify plans but it also depends on long-term goals. If I had had plans for a younger guy to win that Rumble, I probably wouldn't have sacrificed that for the 30+ Guerrero despite support, catchphrase and merch.
