  1. Back to the Future, Monday Week 1 of December 2013 NGW Back to the Future (Weekly TV show) Held on Monday, Week 1 of December 2013 Venue: The Skojpe Indoor Arena, Northern Macedonia, Europe Attendance: 4.759, Ratings: 0.71 (539.240 viewers), Shown on Continental Sports X1 Captain Hero II and Christopher Lister kick off the show by addressing their matches at Reach for the Sky when Champagne Lover interrupts, saying no one wants to hear two losers complain. Captain Hero II points out that Lover's group didn't fare any better at that show, to which Lister adds that Lover didn't even wrestle; speaking of which, when was the last time Champagne Lover had a really big match? The verbal sparring has fans come alive and the three men end the segment by agreeing to rally the troops for a 4 vs 4 match in the night's main event. Geena the Warrior Princess vs "The Pain from the Ukraine" Karen Bilous Geena's first match after leaving Proving Ground is a pretty hard hitting brawl against Ukraine's Karen Bilous, the kind that wouldn't be out of place in a joshi ring in Japan. Both women bring the physicality with neither backing down, but as soon as Geena gets a chance to hit the Amazon Plunge, it's all over till the ref can count to three. Winner: Geena the Warrior Princess After the match, Geena grabs a mic to cut another of her signature "angry promos" and announce that she has arrived, so the entire Women's division better take notice! Backstage, Edward Cornell is being interviewed about his match at Reach for the Sky as well as his upcoming clash with Marat Khoklov at End of the World when the Ivanoffs interrupt to announce that before that can happen, Cornell better find his newly arrived buddy Roy Edison because they're booked to face them next. The Real Deal (Edward Cornell & Roy Edison) vs The Ivanoff Brothers This tag team much emphasizes the storytelling aspect over straightforward wrestling, with Cornell directing traffic from the apron and sending out Edison to do all the dirty work against the rugged Russian siblings. Cornell picks his spots and blind-tags himself in only when the odds are in his favor, quickly retreating for a forced tag as soon as momentum turns against him. Left on his own, Edison essentially fights a 2 on 1 uphill battle and unsurprisingly gets hit with a Russian Roulette after Cornell takes a moment to long being standoffish about making the tag, with Ivan scoring the pin to end the match as the NGW Heavyweight champion looks on from the sidelines. Winners: The Ivanoff Brothers League of Heroes vs Army of Lovers Promised during the opening segment, the main event is a surprisingly solid four on four contest, with Army of Lovers looking like a consistent team instead of just Lover and his lackeys. It does help that the entire match lasts just a few seconds over ten minutes so no glaring weaknesses are exposed and with everyone getting some time to shine and hit their signature moves, Captain Hero II eventually nails Bruno with the Hero Attack to score the pin. Winners: League of Heroes Show Rating:
  2. Brand Adjustment Following Reach for the Sky, NGW's two brands have agreed to another talent exchange, though it is still unknown whether that was done to further balance out the two rosters or if it will be a thing that will regularly take place after each Pay Per View. For this month, "The Ninja" Melanie Flyman was chosen to rejoin her Outcasts allies in Proving Ground, while "The Barcelona Bull" Adam Martinez, who has mostly been wrestling in non-televised pre-show dark matches in NGW, will also be moving in hopes of getting more exposure on the Tuesday shows. On the opposite end, Geena the Warrior Princess is moving to NGW's already stellar Women's Division after her spectacular title match at Reach for the Sky against Joanne Rodriguez, while former Mixed Martial Artist Roy Edison will also be joining her on the same roster as his Real Deal leader and NGW Heavyweight champion, "The Alpha Male" Edward Cornell.
  3. War for Territory #42 War for Territory #42 Saturday, Week 2 June, 2021 Live from the Sweat Box, GA Proudly wearing the NYCW Empire title around his waist, "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade opened the show by coming out with "The Big Dog" Josh Nash by his side as he cut a boastful promo about his win at Fatal Force and hyping up his imminent clash with Masked Patriot over the Piledriver Championship. Much to his surprise, Masked Patriot himself made an appearance but Nash got in the way as Spade, safely behind his bodyguard told Patriot that he'd have to wait till after Gang Wars and even the Sam Keith Classic to get his hands on Spade, the mention of the delay throwing the live audience into a frenzy of boos. Finally, Ross Henry came out and got on the mic, saying that if Spade and Patriot aren't going to have a match tonight he might as well have a one on one contest against Josh Nash, the man who cost him the NYCW Empire title last month! Slick Rampage vs Annihilus & Cip Conduit The opening match saw the recently formed team of Cali Slick and Deever "The Rampage" Arnold, now officially dubbed 'Slick Rampage' as they took on two Piledriver originals. Conduit's strength has always been wild ringside brawls which Slick had mastered in GSW, so this was mainly about the giant Annihilus and the rookie Arnold, with the latter blowing a couple of spots but eventually managing to hit Conduit with his impressive Cannonball Senton for the pin. Winners: Slick Rampage, by pinfall w Miss Atlantic Wrestling vs Dee Daniels (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer) The story here was Miss Atlantic Wrestling still suffering from Svelte's attack and she sold the injury throughout the match, making some brave comebacks but never really managing to build up the momentum to win the match before she got hit with the A-Grade Knee. Winner: Dee Daniels, by pinfall Apparently Daniels wasn't happy with simply getting the win though and she continued attacking her opponent after the match was over. Instead of a rescue, it was Svelte and Bitch who showed up to join in as Sawyer Sports Services demolished the masked wrestler, leaving the ring as the medical team rushed in to stretcher Miss Atlantic Wrestling out. w Riley McManus vs "The Assassin of the Squared Circle" Ernest Youngman (with Lisa Bowen) Riley McManus was full of fire in front of his home state crowd and given the two participants' technical prowess, the match played out like a classic southern-style grapplefest. Plenty of holds and counterholds, jockeying for position, reversals, shooting for specific limbs and working them over, lot of time spent on the mat and never ever taking flight for aerial moves. Fans loved every it of it, except maybe the finish of Youngman winning and just to add insult to injury, Youngman put his feet on the ropes while making the pin, even if he didn't need to. Winner: Ernest Youngman, by pinfall while using the ropes for leverage Pileriver United States title match Reaper © vs Bulldozer Brandon Smith If the previous match was an oldschool grapplefest, this one was a southern wrasslin' brawl. Nothing pretty or technical, nothing flashy, just two big tough men slugging it out for over ten minutes. Smith pushed Reaper to the limit like no other contestant in recent memory ever managed to, but hitting the Backdrop Driver proved to be too much of a challenge for Smith's back and after several failed attempts, Reaper had an opening to hit the Death Bomb and retain. Winner: Reaper, by pinfall Reaper makes defence number 3 of his Piledriver United States title Reaper's celebration was interrupted by the return of Logan Diaz, who hadn't been seen since his Last Man Standing match at Raw Power over two months ago. Claiming he's only learned and grown stronger since, Logan issued a challenge for Reaper's US title belt and left the ringside area as the champion stared him down with a menacing glare. Frederique Antonio Garcia did what he does best next, which was fire up the fans as he cut another amazing promo as part of his "open challenge for the COTT World Heavyweight title" which yet again, no one showed up to answer, meaning Garcia had even more time to be annoying on the mic. In today's wrestling world it's rare to find a heel that is genuinely hated and Garcca proved yet again he belongs in that rare category. Ross "The Boss" Henry vs "The Big Dog" Josh Nash With Nash's imminent departure for USPW made public, there was no doubt as to who would win this match, which might also explain why Spade wasn't on Nash's corner for it. However, this didn't mean that the match itself had to be boring; quite the contrary, Henry attacked his opponent and set the match off to a frantic pace as the fight quickly spilled out of the ring and into the stands. The two big men brawled among the fans to a loud reaction without ever going into straight-out hardcore territory but always keeping the match fast and exciting as they brawled around the arena. Nash's stamina eventually failed him though and by the time the two competitors were back inside the ropes, Henry hit a big offensive sequence building up to his Earthquake Powerslam finisher, winning the match to wrap up the show and Nash's quick run with Piledriver Wrestling. Winner: Ross Henry, by pinfall Show Rating:
  4. Adding to my previous post, Piledriver Wrestling is no stranger to "controversy" when it comes to real life backstage stuff, it's just that the spicier stuff never gets a press release unless it's some kind of scandal that's already blown up in my face. Sato got pregnant and gave birth before getting married, then last month 40 year old Gorgon was revealed to be dating 38 year old Ernest Forthdyke-Hume Thanks. I had a bunch of title contenders after I bought out NYCW (as evidenced in their debut segment) but didn't want to make any rash decisions in case any of them got poached. Casey Valentine and Atlas moving to SWF and USPW respectively proves that was the right call. Spade is now headed for a title unification match against Masked Patriot, but he's already set up with a feud against Henry too. Let's see if anyone else decides to leave anytime soon. I've basically swallowed up all the East Coast competition, save for RIPW, obviously. Thought I'd wait till Cult size to leave the COTT, but the alliance is now down to CZCW in the West, 4C in Canada, OLLIE in Mexico, then AAA and QAW for women's wrestling; between that and me expanding way past my local territory to dominate the East, I'm thinking of writing a narrative instead where Piledriver Wrestling is kicked out of the alliance for not staying true to its mission statement and growing way past being just a local territory.
  5. Nah, that's my NGW pet project where for years I've been trying to hook up owner Leon Harrison with Menace. Figured some confusion might be caused here, which is why I re-wrote the announcement to include the explicit mention of husbands
  6. Piledriver Wrestling is excited to announce that June's Seek and Destroy show will, starting this year, be replaced by NYCW's famous Gang Wars event, including its trademark 3 on 3 matches. According to the promotion's press release, this is done not only in order to preserve the popularity of the show and its native promotion, but also because it should function as a great precursor to July's annual Sam Keith Classic Tag Team Tournament. Both Piledriver Wrestling School's graduate "The Goth" Nancy Hollands and former roster member Eri "Strong Style" Sato held their weddings during the last few months, to husbands not involved in the wrestling business. We here at Piledriver Wrestling wish them all the best for their future and a happy life together with their significant other. True to its legacy as the home of tomorrow's stars, Piledriver Wrestling is proud to announce that Japanese promotion PGHW has reached out to Bulldozer Brandon Smith and James Diaz, offering them a chance to be part of their upcoming July-September tour. Smith already has a track record in Japan with the much smaller Black Canvas Grappling, whereas Diaz will be doing his first ever tour of the islands, hoping to live up to the legacy of his famous father, Raymond. More news along these lines but certainly a bit more bittersweet, following Casey Valentine's departure for Supreme Wrestling Federation, United States Pro Wrestling also turned its attention towards Piledriver Wrestling and offered an extremely lucrative deal to "The Big Dog" Josh Nash, who its fans know better as Atlas. This marks Nash's return to the world's biggest promotion after his departure in early 2019 and subsequent run with NYCW. Although sad to lose one of its most well known roster members, Piledriver Wrestling is also extremely proud to have been the launching pad for his return to the top of the world, yet again confirming the motto of the school as being the place where tomorrow's stars are made. Fans may have noticed Syd Collier's physique during his appearances for Piledriver Wrestling in May and indeed it was hard to miss the Class Act's ripped musculature, a definite sign of how motivated he has been lately in his race to establish Bowen Services and reclaim the Piledriver Tag Team titles. One man who certainly took notice of that was Tennessee William, as he recently posted a couple of gym selfies in response. Though far from posessing Collier's muscled physique, Tennessee's #1 son certainly has put in the work and it showed in his toned body as the tag team division is heating up with every show.

Oddly enough, the crowd seemed to be in firm support of Youngman, apparently seeing him as the "hometown" guy due to his past with PSW and NYCW, as opposed to his southern fried allies or Slick representing the West Coast. While unusual in terms of the face vs heel dynamic, at least the reaction was better than say, one based on the racial undertones of the match and regardless of how fans took this into their own hands, all six men put on amazing performances for the ten or so minutes this match lasted, before Collier was able to submit DeMarcus to his Texas Cloverleaf, giving some much needed momentum to Bowen Services and the Express after losing the tag titles.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Bowen Services, by submission</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="MzjfHKV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MzjfHKV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Next up, we got a video of Logan Diaz getting checked by the doctor following his Last Man Standing match last month. Although Svelte does have a history against Miss Atlantic Wrestling and this made the match feel more personal, her teamwork with Kass was nonexistent as their timing was all over the place. Sawyer did his best to cover that up, both "guiding" Svelte from rinsige as well as unwillingly distracting Kass by trying to "help" her and while this teased a similar finish to that of their previous encounter, it was actually Svelte who forced Miss Atlantic Wrestling to tap out to the Prawn Armlock while Washington and Kass were brawling outside the ring.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Killer Kass & Selina Svelte, by submission</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="h9A0Crp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/h9A0Crp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2rzwtJa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2rzwtJa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="KLfWIJG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KLfWIJG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PxfLs6E.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PxfLs6E.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="n1i1cZU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/n1i1cZU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The end of the match didn't stop the current and former Piledriver Women's champion from continuing their brawl outside the ring, while Svelte refused to let go of Miss Atlantic Wrestling's arm, looking like she was trying to intentionally injure her once again. Reaper and Siaki made ideal opponents for this match given their loosely implied alliance in the past as well as Smith's US title challenge and the matchups at War for Territory #41. While this match had the physicality one would expect, it was mostly built around the story of how either of the babyfaces would be able to lift either of their opponents to deliver their finishing move. It was no small feat and despite several attempts it never happened, with Smith barely managing to shift the massive Reaper near the finish of the match, only for a shocked Reaper to desperately counter with a mule kick between his opponent's legs to escape the impending Backdrop Driver, thus getting disqualified.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Masked Patriot & Bulldozer Brandon Smith, by disqualification</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="BJS9M4A.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BJS9M4A.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Have Frederique Antonio Garcia's open challenge promos gotten old yet? Probably. Did people need to hear him brag for ten minutes straight? Probably not. Did anyone show up to answer his challenge? Certainly not. Was any of this taken into account before someone decided to give the man 10 full minutes of show time on the mic? Absolutely. Garcia did his best to come across as an absolutely annoying, arrogant heel and fans were almost begging for someone to show up and shut him up, which only made them hate him more. Arguably one of Piledriver Wrestling's most genuinely hated heels at this point even if he doesn't quite have the walk to back up his talk, Garcia did what he does best and by the time he was over, fans were almost up in arms as Spencer Spade's music hit the speakers for his entrance.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="f6XpVSA.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/f6XpVSA.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> NYCW Empire title match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="HMOlNXk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HMOlNXk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="ZSPeqjY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZSPeqjY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="uPtPvKZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uPtPvKZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Ross "The Boss" Henry © vs "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade (with "Big Dog" Josh Nash)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Both competitors have proven themselves to be skilled, entertaining and popular so the only real question here was whether Piledriver Wrestling can actually sanction a match for the title of an inactive promotion or whether the belt was simply a prop. Not that anyone dwelled to much on that once the match got started though, because both Henry and Spade paced themselves to pull off a slow building contest that constantly escalated the drama and tension. The two men looked confident at first, perhaps a bit too confident, with frequent stand offs and near falls getting the point across that they should be taking this more seriously and fans could expect an extremely open, competitive contest. As the match went on, it became clear that Henry was focusing on his brawling and power game where he's at his best, whereas Spade made the best of his well rounded skillset to keep his opponent guessing as he constantly switched between strikes, holds, suplexes and even the occasional high flying maneuver. In the end though, it took Nash working over Henry while the referee was distracted by Spade's whining, thus setting him up for the Supreme Stunner and the cover under a thunderstorm of boos; one, two, three, Spade wins the match, the title and the right to challenge Masked Patriot for the Piledriver Championship.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Spencer Spade, by pinfall after Josh Nash interfered</strong></p><p><strong> Spencer Spade wins the NYCW Empire title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="pyf9Pt4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pyf9Pt4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p>

Smith's time with BCG in Japan has certainly made his style more smashmouth and this spiced up the entire match with a pretty strong puroresu flavor as Siaki has the toughness to go toe to toe with Smith and hit back just as hard. Smith's experience was the difference maker though and it allowed him to use the hot headed Samoan's recklessness against him, eventually hitting him with a huge Backdrop Driver for the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Bulldozer Brandon Smith, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="MzjfHKV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MzjfHKV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SX0rBai.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SX0rBai.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> A short clip aired next, with highlights from the "Diaz vs Diaz" Last Man Standing match at last month's Raw Power show.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="0l8tY8y.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0l8tY8y.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="FHUEpiU.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/FHUEpiU.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="h9A0Crp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/h9A0Crp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="2rzwtJa.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2rzwtJa.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="2FjO0qV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/2FjO0qV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="KLfWIJG.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KLfWIJG.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="NuLYzbD.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/NuLYzbD.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="aMXABmX.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aMXABmX.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Masked Patriot, Lora Washington & Miss Atlantic Wrestling vs Reaper, Killer Kass & Emma Bitch (with "Playboy" Jake Sawyer)</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Lots of story to unwind in this match and indeed the bout had a heavy focus on storytelling in order to get all those points across. On one side, the uber-patriotic trio. On the other, the hard hitting team of the not-so-patriotic United States champion Reaper, Killer Kass, who recently squashed Miss Atlantic Wrestling before taking the Piledriver Women's title off Washington and Emma Bitch, whose manager was all too happy to offer some unsolicited assistance to Kass, who he's obviously looking to recruit for his Sawyer Sports Services group. That said, Masked Patriot did most of the in-ring part mainly trying to bring Reaper down, while the females emphasized the storytelling aspect as Kass went against the two babyfaces with Bitch and Sawyer chiming in to do their part, until Kass finally got so distracted by Sawyer's antics she walked straight into a July 4th Jam from Washington that put her down for the count, much to Sawyer's dismay.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Masked Patriot, Lora Washington & Miss Atlantic Wrestling, by pinfall after Killer Kass was distracted by "Playboy" Jake Sawyer</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="rCrbMWQ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rCrbMWQ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="6ffpmx9.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/6ffpmx9.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="TqXBSjr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TqXBSjr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="gDXGKOl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gDXGKOl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="EpQsPaC.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/EpQsPaC.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Another video montage from Raw Power aired next, this time about the tag team titles match between former champions the Mid Atlantic Express and eventual winners the Southern Stars.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="7nXiDsK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7nXiDsK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ZSPeqjY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZSPeqjY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="uPtPvKZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uPtPvKZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="12RJue4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/12RJue4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="cIFBbYI.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/cIFBbYI.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Spencer Spade & Josh Nash vs Cali Slick & Deever Arnold</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Several former NYCW wrestlers did show up during the final segment of Raw Power, but Spade and Nash were the only ones to already be aligned, leading to this match with them wrestling as a tag team. Their opponents were Nash's victim, Cali Slick, backed up by the ever impressive Deever Arnold. Given their past with major promotions like USPW and SWF, the new faces didn't need no introduction but what made the setup even better was their links to Piledriver Wrestling's roots: Spade won the 2019 Rip Chord Invitational, Nash began his career with MAW and Arnold is a Piledriver school graduate. That said, fans were hot for this bout and the apparent understanding between Slick and Arnold elevated their teamwork as well as the entire match. Arnold's mix of power and high flying looked like it would go down a storm in Japan on top of it beautifully complementing Slick's arsenal of power moves. Spade being Spade, he was more than able to keep up, all the while garnering nuclear levels of heat from the fans with his antics before the Big Dog justified his nickname to overwhelm the brash Arnold and flatten him with a ring shaking Kronus Bomb for the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Spencer Spade & Josh Nash, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="ZSPeqjY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ZSPeqjY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="uPtPvKZ.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/uPtPvKZ.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="HMOlNXk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/HMOlNXk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The winning team's fanfare was cut short by the appearance of Ross "The Boss" Henry, once again carrying the NYCW Empire title on his shoulder. Henry got on the mic to inform fans and viewers alike that Casey Valentine had departed for the Eisen Empire of SWF, thus leaving him and the two heels as the big contenders for the Piledriver Championship. Spade cut him off to tell him that he knows where this is going and although "The Supreme Star" has nothing to prove to nobody, he'd be all to glad to beat Henry at Fatal Force as a warm up before he beats Masked Patriot for the title.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><img alt="IqChfad.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/IqChfad.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> <img alt="BJS9M4A.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BJS9M4A.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="LyIbEj4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LyIbEj4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Frederique Antonio Garcia was out once again to repeat his open challenge for the COTT World Heavyweight title, but this time his challenge was answered by "the King of Charisma" Robbie Wright. Now sporting a pretty toned musculature on his formerly skinny frame, Wright got on the mic to cut a promo about how Garcia's challenge at Raw Power motivated him to train hard and show up tonight for a match. Garcia tried to talk down the youngster but apparently having to work a segment with someone else besides himself seemed to throw the veteran off and he had no script to fall back on, which led to a sloppy finish for this segment as things were rushed to the start of the match.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="pyf9Pt4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pyf9Pt4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="N2uDJNN.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/N2uDJNN.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> COTT World Heavyweight title match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="BJS9M4A.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BJS9M4A.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="LyIbEj4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/LyIbEj4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> "Fabulous" Frederique Antonio Garcia © vs "King of Charisma" Robbie Wright</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Not only was this main event match off to a rushed start, it was also surprisingly short at just over six minutes. Given Garcia's 46 years of age, it should come as no surprise though and indeed his age showed in the ring despite his best efforts to emphasize his dastardly character over his actual wrestling skill, including the sneaky low blow that won him the match. On the bright side though, Garcia is a supremely popular star and knows just how to make fans despise him; even in such a short match, he had fans screaming for his head and winning the way he did only made it worse, ensuring the show was off to a hot and loud finish by the time the final bell rang.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Frederique Antonio Garcia, by pinfall by using underhanded tactics</strong></p><p><strong> Frederique Antonio Garcia makes defence number 16 of his COTT World Heavyweight title</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="mwL0z0W.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mwL0z0W.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p>

  11. Thanks! We're having a lot of fun and I for one am amazed at how long we've managed to keep it going!
  12. Raw Power 2021 <iframe width="560" height="315" src=" https://www.youtube.com/embed/3mZ0sSStW6Y" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Piledriver Wrestling presents: Raw Power 2021 Saturday, Week 4 April, 2021 Live from the McGaw Arena, NY Cip Conduit vs Deever "The Rampage" Arnold The show opened with some serious jockeying for position, as two Piledriver Wrestling School graduates fought it out for a victory that would help them down the line. On one hand, former two-time champion Cip Conduit and wild brawler Cip Conduit, who returned from FCW in Puerto Rico with high aspirations but only suffered defeats since. On the other, the superbly muscular cruiserweight Deever Arnold, returning to his school's promotion after going through the usual loop of RIPW, SWF and unemployment. The setup made for a pretty exciting match and it only got better thanks to the apparent chemistry the two wrestlers seemed to have, though Arnold was by far the better one and rightfully ended up winning after he hit his impressive Cannonball Senton finisher. Winner: Deever Arnold, by pinfall Next up, viewers got a hype package video to introduce Killer Kass. The latest addition to the Women's Division was quick to capture the title off long time champion Lora Washington and this package probably made up for the lack of build-up prior to that. Last Man Standing match "Glorious" Logan Diaz vs "Return of the Monster" James Diaz The third and apparently final chapter to the Diaz cousins' family feud after James turned on Logan to cost him the Piledriver championship, this one came after two tainted victories for Logan prior, one via DQ and one via a surprise roll up pin. This time the match could only end with one man down and the two cousins played up just that as they hit each other with everything they had while showing resilience and determination from bell to bell. This wasn't really a crazy brawl across the McGaw Arena but more of a story-heavy fight, the kind you'd get from oldschool promotions in the south several decades ago. That said, both men bled heavily and both kicked out of each other's finishers (Logan kicked out of the Asian Thumb Spike and James out of the Belly to Belly Suplex) so it took their famous relative's Ray Gun from James in order to put out Logan in a dramatic and emotional finale. Winner: James Diaz Piledriver Tag Team titles match w The Southern Stars vs The Mid Atlantic Express © (with Lisa Bowen) Does the world really need another Southern Stars vs Mid Atlantic Express match for the Piledriver Tag Team titles after the former team's saga in the Sam Keith Classic and chasing the COTT World Tag Team titles? Apparently yes and the big factor here was Lisa Bowen with her new Bowen Services group. She and the Express know each other from their days back in MAW so they made for a pretty entertaining unit, with Bowen doing her best to tip the odds in the champions' favor. However, the Stars were well prepared for her presence at ringside and so was referee Alvin Lavin, who caught her attempting to get disqualified on purpose so the titles wouldn't change hands. Instead, what Bowen managed was to get herself ejected from the match and sent to the back, a much applauded call from the referee who seemed like he was going to see this match to a proper finish. With Bowen's absence, the Express seemed momentarily distracted and the Stars jumped on the opportunity, making the best of that chance and their chemistry to knock Collier off the apron and double team the Architect until they hit him with the Texas Meat-Grinder for the pin. Winners AND NEW Piledriver Tag Team champions: The Southern Stars, by pinfall Bulldozer Brandon Smith cut a promo next, his appearance getting a great pop from the crowd. A former NYCW employee prior to the Piledriver buyout, Smith cut a textbook babyface promo to reference not just his time with NYCW, but also MAW as American Patriot and his past appearances for Piledriver Wrestling as part of the COTT talent trade deals, thus endearing himself to all of the promotion's demographics on all areas where the company is now active. Smith ended his promo saying he intends to make a mark in this new landscape and dropping one of his old American Patriot catchprases, challenged Reaper to a match for the Piledriver United States title. Smith's promo was a great segway into another promo, this time from the COTT World Heavyweight champion, Frederique Antonio Garcia. Essentially mocking Smith's promo part by part, Garcia brought up his time with way more important promotions (read:SWF), him being already a champion and holding a much more important title and ended by saying that he doesn't need to challenge anyone, people should be lining up to challenge him! Piledriver Championship title match Masked Patriot © vs Cali Slick Three months ago at Damage Inc, this match was held again as Slick returned to wrestle for the title he never lost after he never showed up at Night of the Champions in December to defend it, thus leading to a vacation and Masked Patriot winning the match to become champion. Back then, the finish of the match was tainted by the return of Cip Conduit but after the offender repeatedly lost his following matches, the stage was once more clear for Slick and Patriot to throw down and determine 'the real champion'. While Patriot is as classic as mom's apple pie in the ring, Slick had a chance to showcase he can brawl as much as he can wrestle, a long way from his days as a weapons-based brawler in California's GSW. Between big power moves, slams and suplexes, Slick put on a solid performance as a straightforward wrestler, but it was Patriot's iron will and resilience that won him the day. It took three Patriot Slams to finish this, which ironically marked Patriot's third title defense, but by the end it felt like both men were winners after such a performance. Winner: Masked Patriot, by pinfall Masked Patriot makes defence number 3 of his Piledriver Championship title <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/KikPnVnA44o" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Patriot's win was interrupted when his music switched to a song that hadn't been heard in a Piledriver Wrestling for quite a while. To be precise, since last year's Rip Chord Invitational, which "Cool Hand" Casey Valentine won. Back then, Valentine represented NYCW so now of course after that company was bought out by Piledriver Wrestling, he was out to make his presence known and get on the mic to challenge Masked Patriot for his title. <iframe width="560" height="315" src=" https://www.youtube.com/embed/UZZGe15prnM" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Before Masked Patriot could respond, more music hit the speakers and out came this year's Rip Chord Invitational winner, who also just happens to be the current (final?) NYCW Empire champion, Ross "The Boss" Henry. Still bearing the strap on his shoulder, Henry got a mic of his own and pointed out that as this year's winner and NYCW's champion, he should be the one getting a shot in a champion versus champion, title unification match! <iframe width="560" height="315" src=" https://www.youtube.com/embed/GBHQD_bpk40" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> Enter "The Supreme Star" Spencer Spade, who of course was also out to make his claim for a title shot and if this is starting to sound a bit tiring, it certainly was for Cali Slick who finally snapped and got on the mic for a piece of his mind. Spade just sat there and heard it all with a wide grin across his face, because eventually Slick got knocked out with a shot to the back of the head by... ...a pretty badass-looking Atlas! Spade however introduced him under his real name, "The Big Dog" Josh Nash, before he rushed to point out that Nash is also his personal bodyguard. This alliance was all it took to change the dynamic of what seemed to be an upcoming free-for-all brawl and everyone seemed to have second thoughts about actually throwing fists. The show ended with everyone staring down each other while Patriot was checking on the fallen Cali Slick, a move that made them come across as Piledriver Wrestling's loyalist against the former NYCW wrestlers, as well as cementing Slick's babyface turn after a series of clean matches and a short rivalry with much hated Cip Conduit. 13. The only real advice here is write, write, write. Experiment a bit, see what you enjoy and what not, find what you're good at, go with what works for you but most of all, just write. After a while, it'll get much easier and it'll pour our on its own. Even embedding images or formatting the text will be faster. My process is very similar to that of James Casey, except much of the writing is done while I'm slacking at my office job instead of staying up at night I've found that booking too far ahead and then coming back to write out shows is not what works for me. I may have forgotten why I booked a certain match the way I did or what I wanted someone to say in an angle and more often than not, I've messed stuff up: people were written as champions when they still had a couple of shows before they'd actually win gold or before the actual betrayal/disposition turn/gimmick change. Much like JC above, I click to see the next match or angle, write it out, move to the next, repeat. It helps me stay in the moment and wanting to see how the show actually plays out is good motivation to keep writing because I want it to be done quick so I can click to see the next segment. As for writing per se, Self and Historian have me pretty much covered. I've found out I'm not that good writing out matches move by move and honestly if you're doing anything more than a single show per month, it ends up slowing your actual game time and burning up ideas. What I try to do is narrate the main point I'm trying to get across. For angles, it'll be something along the lines of "X comes out looking angry, he grabs a mic, says that Y got a fluke victory at the last show because he cheated to defeat him and isn't good enough to beat him in a clean, straightforward wrestling match, Y comes out and calls X a crybaby, says he'll shut him up for good when they meet again for the rematch at the upcoming event." To use the same example, when X and Y have that match I'll ask myself what story I'm trying to tell through it, then check the participants' size, style, gimmick as well as strong and weak points in their stats. In this case, let's assume X is a babyface with solid technical wrestling skills, which is probably why I had him talk about "a clean, straightforward wrestling match" in his promo. He's probably under a Machine or another Legitimate gimmick too. The problem is, he's inexperienced. So he's probably a blue chipper I want to get over: he lost the first match to the veteran dastardly heel and now he's gotta win to stay relevant. Now we've established his opponent is a heel, a veteran and a cheating S.O.B. Looking at his stats, he's mainly an Entertainer with good mic skills and his only decent in-ring attribute is brawling. He's also smaller than the babyface. This results in the following game plan for each Face: Follow the rules, wrestle clean, use his size/power advantage and technical prowess to ground the heel, eliminate his brawl-based offense and work him over with submissions. Heel: Basically avoid direct confrontation since he's smaller and not as good a wrestler, use his experience and talking to break up the match flow, interrupt the pace, leave the ring, insult the face and generally mess up the face's gameplan. With the above and knowing I want the face to win, I gotta decide on the finish. If I want this to be the end of the feud, I'll probably book the face to win via submission: it fits his style, gameplan and is extra humiliating for the heel. If I want the feud to go on into a third and final match, I'll have him win via flash pinfall. That way the heel can claim this also was a fluke win and the face can agree he didn't really beat him, leading into their third match. So in writing the match out, I'll start with the babyface coming in all fired up and hitting a few takedowns (babyface shine & gameplan showcase). The heel, as a veteran, will quickly realize what's going on and will roll out of the ring, signalling for a timeout, according to his own gameplan laid out above. This will lead the fired up babyface to give chase outside the ring, but turns out it was all a trap by the crafty veteran to lure him into wrestling the kind of dirty ringside brawl that suits him! The veteran's gonna work over the face for a while to gain some heat and add drama to the match, maybe bust the face open too, but he has to score a pin to win the match so eventually he'll drag the face back to the ring. That'll be a two count, there's still fight left in the young babyface! That spot starts the face's comeback and now in the ring, doubly fired up, the face will take control of the match, ground the veteran and finally get the win. Click, on to next segment. Like I said, the more you write out stuff, the more you already know your roster and the more you've already laid out plans with storylines and where you wanna go with each worker, the easier and faster it'll be. Hope that helps.
  14. It's funny because there never was an actual East Coast War like DAVE, RPW, XFW and PPPW had. The Sheik basically bought out the eastern territories of COTT, now he probably has to deal with QAW next or Dread's TITAN Factory. Oh, thank you so much! I'm a sucker for praise and attention, so this is high motivation to keep this one going. Same for my NGW one, especially since after the opening "historic catch-up" when the actual NGW shows didn't seem to get much of a reaction on these boards. Even got nominations on the DOTM thread! It is both inspired by and a tribute to Voeltzwagon's Bad Boys of MEW diary
  15. "Infidel Ed! You ready to sell me New York?" "Yeah I don't think I can keep it running for much longer..." A long, awkward silence followed. I had been calling Ed with the same question for almost a year and I'd been shot down so many times that when he finally accepted defeat, I felt like I was no longer prepared for that answer. New York Championship Wrestling was on the brink of bankruptcy for the last couple of years. I had been playing a sneaky game for a little longer than that, driving them down but trying to do so in a discreet way that wouldn't compromise our standing within the Confederation of the Territories. I mean hey, we had better shows, what can you do about that? Everyone tries to put on the best show they can, we're not to blame if we do it better than NYCW, right? Sure, we ran two shows a month but that wasn't an aggressive expansion policy, it was keeping up with two regional audiences after we "saved" MAW, the historic promotion that started the COTT in the first place! Which is exactly what I was looking to do with NYCW too after Larry Vessey disclosed he was having financial trouble and was thinking about leaving the business altogether. But then before I could make my move, he sold the company to Ed Monton, George Wolfe's dad, who came in with new ideas and some fresh cash. So I decided to wait. I continued to put on the best shows possible and slowly eat away at NYCW's new found momentum. Fans in New York were hot about our shows, but since the COTT Code of Conduct prevents members from running shows in other members' territories, I could not step in. Besides, directly antagonizing a fellow member would be anything but subtle. As soon as Ed ran a couple of shows and I figured he couldn't correct the course, I started calling him every month. Actually, twice a month, after they'd ran a show and as soon as the month was over. I even brought back my obnoxious Sheik Ali Al-Avatar persona for those calls, looking to break him mentally as much as I was trying to break him financially. My final stroke of genious was having Ross Henry win the Rip Chord Invitational, with Casey Valentine having won the one the year prior. Lee, Gorgon and most of the fans were baffled by my decision to not highlight a roster member, but no one realized I was actually investing in future roster members. Both Ross and Casey were still employed by NYCW and I had my eyes on their contracts for a long time. Now that time had finally arrived. "We're like, fifteen, seventeen grand maybe in terms of debt" Ed broke the silence from the other end of the line. "Think you can cover that?" I took a long, obnoxiously long inhale. "Oh, I don't know Ed... Lee wants me to have 550 grand in the bank by the end of the year... it's already April and I'm about ten thousand away from that milestone... I mean, middle of the month and I've already made twice your debt in profit... can I?" MNYAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  16. War for Territory #40 War for Territory #40 Saturday, Week 2 April, 2021 Live from the Centerpiece Bridge, SC w The Southern Stars & Riley McManus vs Bowen Services (The Mid Atlantic Express & "Killer" Carl Bernard, with Lisa Bowen) The match picks up from where the two opening contests of WrestleBowl left off, with McManus joining the Southern Stars against the Mid Atlantic Express and Bernard, who are all apparently now a part of Lisa Bowen's new group. There's some good action to get the fans going, but apparently Bowen Services have yet to really gel together as a unit, since Bernard is somewhat green and the Express are used to working as a duo, which leads to Tennessee William surprising the Architect with a cradle for the win. Winners: The Southern Stars & Riley McManus, by pinfall with a surprise cradle The match may be over but Bowen Services prove to be sore losers as they attack their opponents to continue brawling past the final bell. The scales are tipped in their favor by the appearance of Ernest Youngman, who assists Bowen Services in beating down the babyfaces, thus confirming that following Bowen's suggestion last month, he has indeed decided to be a part of her new group. Non-title match Killer Kass vs Nicole Pyle Pyle uses her speed and high flying abilities to employ hit and run tactics, but all that does is prevent the match from being an absolute one-sided squash; Kass barely sells Pyle's offense and after initially missing with most of her offensive moves, she eventually manages to connect with a lariat and from there it's just a matter of time before she's able to pull off the Kill Switch for another win. Winner: Killer Kass, by pinfall "Playboy" Jake Sawyer shows up to applaud Kass and even gets on the mic to congratulate her, before offering his services to the new Piledriver Women's champion. Kass looks unimpressed though and without even answering, simply walks away, leaving Sawyer aghast. Logan Diaz & Jebediah vs James Diaz & Cip Conduit This match is there to keep the Diaz family feud hot in light of their upcoming Last Man Standing match, but Conduit isn't shy about pursuing his own agenda as he verbally insults former Piledriver champion Logan Diaz inbetween his offensive moves. This helps the match go down a somewhat elaborate storytelling path, with Jebediah, who's held the Piledriver US title twice but hasn't yet managed to really break into the main event scene, trying to score the pin over ex-champion Cip Conduit. Despite the babyfaces having zero chemistry as a team, they are still highly skilled individuals and while Jebediah is busy brawling outside the ring with James, Logan manages to catch the fired-up (and thus reckless) Conduit with a Belly to Belly Suplex for the pin. Winners: Logan Diaz & Jebediah, by pinfall w Masked Patriot, Robbie Wright & Nate DeMarcus vs Cali Slick, Xavi Ferrera & Ernest Youngman (with Lisa Bowen) Lisa Bowen escorts Youngman to the ring, confirming their newly forged alliance, while Xavi Ferrera apparently decided to bust out the cool shades in order to fit in with the rest of his team. Likewise, Nate DeMarcus' new all-american look looks appropriate next to Masked Patriot, with Robbie Wright rounding up the team. The match itself is a slow paced contest with both teams adhering to the rules, thus extending its duration even further and making it easy to keep up with the one on one action between the ropes. It takes a full seventeen minutes of action before the pinfall is scored and that is done by Youngman, who pulls off The Hit on Wright for the finish. Winners: Cali Slick, Xavi Ferrera & Ernest Youngman, by pinfall Show Rating:

NGW Open Collective titles match The Czars (Dovydas Vidmar & The Ivanoff Brothers) © vs Army of Lovers (Giovanni Bruno, Marcello Ricci & Paolo Gandalfini) Army of Lovers aren't exactly the most likeable characters on the NGW roster, but up against the dour Russian champions, their special brand of comedy swings the fans in their favour. Gandalfini starts the match as the biggest and most powerful of his team, doing a good job against a rotating cast of the Czars before Bruno gets the tag for some higly impressive and slightly creepy technical wrestling that fits his sleazy character. Although Ricci does tag in occasionally to round up things and Gandalfini has another burst of action, Bruno is the one to take a real beating and Ivan Ivanoff ends up pinning him after a low blow while the referee is distracted by Igor. Winners: The Czars The Czars make defence number 1 of their NGW Open Collective titles The Outcasts (Badass Bantom & Viper McKenna) vs The Czars (Andriy Boronin & Zofia Jankovic) This match basically showcases how Viper McKenna, despite nowdays spending less time inside the ring, can still switch effortlessly between manager and wrestler. It also really plays up the intergender aspect, with McKenna's technical style going toe to toe with Boronin's amateur wrestling background while Jankovic makes the best of her martial arts background as she fearlessly takes on the much larger Bantom. For all their apparent skill and fire, Boronin and Jankovic still have a hard time against the veteran pairing and it takes the appearance of another Czars memeber in "The Pain from the Ukraine" Karen Bilous to take down the monstrous Bantom as he's doing his wild brawling outside the ring. Bilous does a quick run-in but it's enough to tip the scales in favor of her allies and now essentially left on her own against two opponents, McKenna fights but ultimately gets hit with a K.O. Head Kick that knocks her out for the count. Winners: The Czars (Andriy Boronin & Zofia Jankovic) NGW Cruiserweight title match "The Rock and Roller" Sebastian Koller © vs John Silver First of the night's title matches and despite Koller coming out strumming the belt like he's nWo era Hulk Hogan, the visual of McKenna not being by his side after the previous match is a stark visual reminder of how he's already in a tough spot before the match even begins. Silver seems to notice just that and turns things up immediately to 11 with a dive to the outside, catching Koller by surprise before he's done with his entrance even. The match is off to an early start and Silver seems to be looking for a quick win, but Koller isn't going down that easy, especially since he's pretty big and muscular by Cruiserweight standards. It's a fast paced, exciting match that quickly becomes pretty even once Koller is past the initial surprise and despite his stamina not being up to the challenge of carrying him through nearly 14 minutes at this pace, he is still the better wrestler and manages to get a clean win over his challenger with a Hamburg Rock City. Winner: "The Rock and Roller" Sebastian Koller "The Rock and Roller" Sebastian Koller makes defence number 1 of his NGW Cruiserweight title NGW Heavyweight title match "The Alpha Male" Edward Cornell © vs Christopher Lister Something is clearly off with these two from the get go; whether it's Lister lacking the physicality to bring out Cornell's best attributes or Cornell being too much of a classic heavyweight brawler to click with Lister's high flying or technical prowess, the thing is something's holding them both back and the outcome isn't as great as it should be. Even the finish of Cornell grabbing a handful of Lister's tights to secure the pin isn't as impactful as it should be, since had this been done after a great match it should have theoretically garnered the champion more heat for depriving the fans of a good finish to a solid match and robbing Lister of the gold after a great performance. Winner: "The Alpha Male" Edward Cornell "The Alpha Male" Edward Cornell makes defence number 4 of his NGW Heavyweight title Captain Hero II vs "The Moscow Mauler" Marat Khoklov Nelson Frye's first big singles match after inheriting the Captain Hero mask from Stig Svensson, this one is no joke given his opponent. As the announcers point out, Khoklov is not just a very difficult man to hurt, let alone defeat, but even if someone can somehow beat him, the very fact of having a match against him takes a huge physical toll on any opponent, bad enough to take a few years off a man's career. That is exactly the uphill battle story these two build up for over a full fifteen minutes, swinging between brutal, dominant attacks from the Moscow Mauler to hopeful comebacks from Captain Hero II and back again until Khoklov puts his opponent in a crushing bear hug that squeezes any remaining wind out of the masked one's lungs. Deeming Captain Hero II unable to continue the match, the referee calls for the bell and declares Marat the winner via stoppage. Winner: "The Moscow Mauler" Marat Khoklov NGW Women's title match Joanne Rodriguez © vs Geena the Warrior Princess It is a rare occasion that Geena enters a match like this as the underdog and not the favourite: she's already lost to J-Ro before the latter won the title, she's had an unspectacular run so far on Proving Ground and a much criticized feud against Darkness Cat but despite all that, Geena proves everyone wrong with her performance, reminding that there's a reason she's already a Hall of Famer. Using her trademark physicality, Geena brings a potent mix of strikes, suplexes and even the occasional reckless dive to really push the defending champion. Rodriguez responds to this intensity with her own slick style and an impressive display of chain wrestling skills as she counters Geena's moves more than once and weaves her own offence into crowd-pleasing sequences. The fight goes one and both competitors reach for ever bigger and bigger moves, pushing the match beyond the 20 minute mark before J-Ro finally connects with a J-Rocker to achieve the pinfall. Winner: Joanne Rodriguez Joanne Rodriguez makes defence number 1 of her NGW Womens title J-Ro's post-match celebration is cut short when her music is cut off by an all too familiar keyboard melody... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/BURM7l6_pvg" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe> "The Gothic Grappler" Fusae Etsuko makes a grand entrance and walks down to the ring. Kick that sends him crashing through a nearby wooden panel. X marks the Spot match Darkness Cat vs Geena the Warrior Princess In a decent match, Geena The Warrior Princess defeated Darkness Cat in 9:33 when Geena The Warrior Princess retrieved the necklace that was hanging above the middle of the ring where the two X wires meet. Once the match was over, Geena the Warrior Princess put on her recently reclaimed necklace and got on the mic to cut a fierce final promo before her match against Joanne Rodriguez later this week. Clearly upset, the Outcasts were out to address the earlier attack on Landon Mallory. Spearheaded by Viper McKenna on the mic, the Outcasts said they believe Boronin and Jankovic attempted to eliminate the threat of the Outcasts taking the NGW Open Collective titles from their Czars buddies and demanded to settle this in the ring, whether as part of an intergender tag match or in two separate singles matches. John Silver vs Shiro Akuma In a decent match, John Silver defeated Shiro Akuma in 13:36 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics. 24. Wrestlebowl 2021 Wrestlebowl 2021 Saturday, Week 4 March, 2021 Live from the Sweat Box, GA The show opened with Marvin Earnest and Ernest Forthdyke-Hume interviewing Cip Conduit on his return to Piledriver Wrestling and the motives behind his actions since. Cip pointed out that except Xavi Ferrera and Masked Patriot, he too is a two-time Piledriver Champion and if those men, Cali Slick, the people in the back or the fans won't give him the respect he deserves for it, he'll just have to force them to when he becomes the first ever, the only three-time Piledriver champion! The Southern Stars vs Charger Siaki & James Diaz A rematch from last month's Damage Inc. opening contest, the Stars wrestled against Siaki and his new tag team partner James Diaz, following James' assist during Siaki's match against Logan Diaz at War for Territory #39. Siaki looked determined to get revenge for the pin he took last month but his fire ended up burning him when Animal Harker rolled through one of his moves to score another pin over him. Winners: The Southern Stars, by pinfall with a fast roll up Following the match, Lisa Bowen came out with the Mid Atlantic Express, revealing them as her new clients and the foundation of her new group, Bowen Services. Bowen cut a good promo on the Stars facing the Express for the Piledriver Tag Team titles and judging from the fans' reaction, it is a match they wouldn't mind seeing one more time, especially with the added factor of Bowen and her new group thrown in to alter the dynamic. "Killer" Carl Bernard vs Riley McManus Georgia fans were all to happy to see their native hero Riley McManus in action and Bernard got a lot of heat as he beat down on the beloved babyface, but McManus took the blows and made a textbook babyface comeback to win this, complete with an impressive display of strength as he lifted the massive Bernard up for the Slingshot Suplex. Winner: Riley McManus, by pinfall Cheers for the victor quickly turned to boos as the Piledriver United States champion Reaper entered the ring and hit the exhausted McManus with a Death Bomb that the recipient sold like he'd actually just had a bomb go off at his feet. Non-title match Cali Slick vs Cip Conduit vs Masked Patriot This match was built around Slick and Patriot's ongoing title rivalry, with Conduit inserted due to his recent actions. Essentially, Patriot had the chance to get a modicum of revenge, Conduit was given the opportunity to show he deserves a title shot and Slick was out for both of the above. Again, Slick teased what might be an upcoming babyface turn as he beat down the despicable Conduit, at times even cooperating with Masked Patriot to hit the former champion with a tag team maneuver or two. Of course, there was no shortage of fighting between current and former champion, but after a sneak attack from Conduit on Patriot, things quickly went back to Slick brawling with Conduit and a Slick-Back ended the match while keeping the champion looking good. Winner: Cali Slick, by pinfall Logan Diaz cut a promo on his ongoing feud against his cousin James, basically recapping their feud and setting up the next chapter: Logan said their first bout ended via DQ, so they had a no-DQ match. That one ended with a chance roll up, meaning nothing had been proven beyond any doubt. Thus, Logan suggested one final encounter to solve this once and for all: a Last Man Standing match! Piledriver Womens title match Lora Washington © vs Killer Kass The culmination of Washinton's open challenge and the surprise appearance of Killer Kass, the main event featured those two with the Womens title on the line.
