  2. Elsewhere in September 2013 USA Dusty Streets joined SWF. Sammy Smoke and Cameron Vessey became the new DAVE Tag Team champions, defeating Burton and Yorke after a single successful title defense from the former title holders. Wiley Steinway and Bart Biggz began their first run with the PPPW Tri-State Tag Team titles, defeating Dead Bolt and Gentleman James after eight successful title defenses, but lost them back to Gentleman James and his new partner Jared Johnson after two defenses. Whippy the Clown stepped down as SCCW’s booker, to be replaced by the promotion's Colour Commentator, Kyle Rhodes. Allen Orton lost the GSW American championship to Raymond Vincent after six successful defenses. This is Vincent’s first ever run with the title. Canada NotBPW declared war on BHotWG, the two promotions predominantly fighting over the Japanese, European and Australian markets. The two companies are the biggest promotions in Canada and Japan respectively, with NotBPW ranking at #2 and BHotWG at #4 globally. The FSWI Universal changed hands after sixteen title defenses when Ricky DeColt beat Trent Shaffer. Roel Turner and Carel Micheaud also won the FSWI Tag Team titles from Gustave Bertand and Red Panther, who had managed just one defense before losing the belts. WWA signed Rod L Miskovsky, while Victoria Corbett won the WWA Wrestling Spirit title for the second time, defeating Helen Wheels after ten title defenses. Mexico Cyclon joined LLMW. El Critico ended the reign of Asiatico as Campeon Universal de LLMW after ten title defenses. This is the first time Critico wins the title. Japan Insane Machine lost the Burning Junior Championship to Miyamae. This victory marks his third reign with the title after a single successful defense from the former champion. Hinote Dojo signed Azumamaro Shimizu. UK ROF signed Geri Smith. Europe Arjen Van Der Leyne ended the reign of The Fresh Prince of Belarus after thirteen title defenses and won the VWA Universal title for the first time in his career. Australia Fuzzy Freeman lost the MWF National championship to Swoop McCarthy after ten successful defenses. Danny Fly & Saul Rubennick lost the YEPW National Tag Championship to Vertigo & Alex Macquarie after six successful defenses. A desperation maneuver allowed for the tag to Menace, who took out the brothers and went one on one with Vidmar. A sneaky vodka bottle shot was enough to take the big man off his feet, but Menace collapsed to the outside of the ring and a pinfall couldn't be made. This only brought out Ripper LeStat's hardcore wrestling tendencies as he used the environment against Vidmar in their ringside brawl, but was tackled by Ivan Ivanoff and hit with a Russian Roulette onto the glass shards before the brothers dragged him into the ring for Vidmar to hit his own Bratva Bomb finisher and score the pin. Winners AND NEW NGW Open Collective champions: The Czars (Dovydas Vidmar, Igor Ivanoff and Ivan Ivanoff) Tag Team titles unification match w Double Dutch vs The Johanssons (with Signe Lytjohan) The mere mismatch in size and power meant Double Dutch had to come into this bout with a game plan, which was exactly what they did. Using their size and speed advantage to avoid getting squashed, Van Heer and Van Bon also made the best of their experience to isolate Bam Bam and used quick tags to keep him guessing as they attacked from all angles to bring him down. Though it made for an exciting and suprisingly not-uneven match, this wasn't enough to also keep the massive Norwegian down long enough for a pin. Eventually, Bam Bam was able to make the tag to his much fresher brother, who assaulted the tired Cruiserweight champions and the finish saw the Johanssons hit them with stereo Northern Lights Bombs for a double pinfall. Winners: The Johanssons "Awesome" Wade Orson vs "Stone Cold Killer" Konrad Mäkinen Though nothing was on the line for this match, Orson and Mäkinen still put on their best game face to deliver show-stealing performances and prove why they're considered two of NGW's most hopeful youngsters. A hard hitting, technical contest, this was full off rough suplexes and some intricate chain wrestling, peppered with stiff strikes in between. Neither man held back and both won fans over with their effort, resilience and fighting spirit, leading to a standing ovation for Orson who got the win as well as Mäkinen despite his loss. Winner: Wade Orson Geena the Warrior Princess vs Paula Edwards This wasn't the first time Paula Edwards wrestled a match for NGW, but it was the first time she did wrestle such a high profile match on her own, carrying the EWA Female title with an impressive 15 defenses to her name. The massive bruiser was more than able to match Geena's intensity with her own freakish power, showcasing how much she's improved while wrestling for EWA. That was the story the match told as the evolved and upcoming Edwards clashed with the Hall of Famer, Geena's experience providing the edge that allowed her to walk away victorious but only after she had poured everything she had into this match to achieve that victory against a legitimately tough opponent. Winner: Geena the Warrior Princess Next up, it was time for the draft between NGW, still led by its Commissioner, Sebastian Krause, and NGW Proving Ground, which will be run by John Silver. Leon Harrison was also present to oversee the procedures and explained the rules, with brands alternating pick order between picks. #1 pick for NGW is... "The Alpha Male" and NGW Heavyweight champion, Edward Cornell! #1 pick for Proving Ground is... "Awesome" Wade Orson! #2 pick for Proving Ground is... Menace! #17 pick for Proving Ground is... Jacques DuPont! #18 pick for Proving Ground is... Pierre DuPont! #18 pick for NGW is... Called up from EWA, one half of the EWA Union champions, Alberto Montero! Krause and Harrison announce that a few more names, EWA call ups especially, will be making appearances in the immediate future, and return backstage. Now left all alone, John Silver produces the all white mask of Captain Hero, meaning it's time to return it to the League of Heroes... The League of Heroes comes out in full force, including Jeri Behr and Megumi Nakajima. Once in the ring, they point towards the entrance and out comes... "Captain Hero" Stig Svensson! Received with a hero's welcome, Svensson makes his way to the ring, accepts his old mask and motions for a microphone. Starmageddon King of the Ring gamble match for the right to face the NGW Heavyweight champion in the main event of End of the World in December Marat Khoklov vs Champagne Lover It is no secret that Khoklov has been busy leading the NGW Dojo while Champagne Lover has mostly been busy with promoting himself and his Lovers Lounge show, but when the bell rings it's like neither ever lost a single beat. With no ring rust apparent, Marat is his usual monstrous self, moving like no man his size should be able to, while Champagne Lover's wrestling is on point, a potent mix of Japanese-style precision strikes, high flying lucha libre moves and whatever technical aspect he can manage against a man with the size and power of Marat. This is largely a "what could have been" scenario for End of the World, had Lover never lost the title to Cornell, good enough to headline NGW's biggest pay per view events, for now however it is given just under fifteen minutes and with Lover pressed for time to win before the time limit, he falls to a Moscow Lariat just seconds before the time limit bell. Winner: Marat Khoklov NGW Heavyweight title match "Alpha Male" Edward Cornell © vs "The Gentleman Grappler" Nelson Frye Semi main event time and with more time to wrestle their match, Cornell and Frye have a chance to pace themselves and really build this fight from the ground up, a test of will, resilience and a very physical bout that pushes both men to their limits. Following Stig Svensson's words earlier, Frye seems torn between the momentum boost of being named the next Captain Hero and the burden of responsibilities and expectations that come with it, meaning he plays a lot to the crowd and fights with an added sense of urgency like he has something to prove. Cornell isn't shy about playing head games and taunting him throughout the match and even steals a win using Frye's trunks to secure a pinfall. Winner: Edward Cornell Edward Cornell makes defence number 2 of his NGW Heavyweight title As soon as the title is handed to Cornell, he is attacked by a massive and muscular man in black clothes and a hood! The attacker beats down Cornell with ease and finally pulls back his hood to reveal himself as... Beast Bantom! NGW Women's title No Disqualification match "The Gothic Grappler" Fusae Etsuko © vs Joanne "J-Ro" Rodriguez There was never really any doubt that this match would be epic. The only question was how epic it would be, given the two competitor’s latest clash and the standard that Etsuko’s matches against Geena the Warrior Princess set. Somehow, the two women went above and beyond, delivering a true spectacle of a contest and one that will most definitely live forever on not just the hearts and minds of NGW fans who saw it, but also in the history books as one of the best matches to ever be wrestled inside an NGW ring. This match had it all, from storyline buildup and drama to intensity and pacing, psychology, emotion all on top of some great wrestling on display from both Etsuko and J-Ro. The no DQ stipulation came into play, both during an extended brawl outside the ring as well as when Etsuko put her opponent in the Lullaby for what felt like an eternity before Rodriguez could break the hold. Another memorable spot was when Etsuko went for the Darkness Falls running knee, only for the exhausted Rodriguez to collapse on the mat and inadvertently avoid the hit. By the time the match hit the thirty minute checkpoint, fans were chanting “fight forever” and the big finish came with Rodriguez hitting her third J-Rocker of the match to finally keep Etsuko down and win the title after a spectacular confrontation. Winner AND NEW NGW Women's champion: Joanne Rodriguez Show Rating:
  4. Appreciate it! Clearly, Calvin and Jerry are fans of W_SX I like to think of it as a post-harcore product, with a lot of smarky comedy on top of the graphic violence. Knowing that wrestling is scripted and signing up for some graphic violence, you might as well push some insider jokes and over the top stuff. Having the show presented by Calvin and Jerry helps get that vibe across too. I'm trying to build them some character of their own too, with Calvin being the babyface "this is weird and silly but intriguing and fun" type while Jerry is the more facepalm and eyeroll kind. Exactly. Besides, it's not like I'm doing a prediction contest or anything, right? For those who may lose sleep over this though, it was the Devil's Playthings who won. Arabelle denied any involvement in the finish. Oh you'd wish that was a gimp suit... This is, by far, the most insane and violently offending character I've ever come up with. Speaking of which... Me: I want to present Abominatrix as this character Network: No way, this is too extreme and offensive, not on our network! Also me: I want to have two religious lunatics and a guy in a chupacabra suit fight inside a cage made of barb wire, on top of having the ring's ropes wrapped in barb wire. Network: Okay

  7. Calvin: Chi-Town Urban Combat's "Caged Ambition" show happened last night... Jerry: Once again, nowhere near Chicago... Calvin: Indeed, they were at the American Legion Post #56 in Alberta Lea, Minnesotta once more and it seems they're growing fond of the venue, Jerry... Jerry: I mean, it's better than the barn... Real hotspot for pro wrestling that Ravenwood, Missouri... Calvin: Okay so on to the show and I guess we gotta address the elephant in the room... ladies! Jerry: Sex sells and apparently whoever's running CTUC finally got the news, because those ladies made quite the difference for their show, Calv. Calvin: They got some of the best reactions, they certainly had the match of the night, but to be fair Jerry, it's not just because of their looks... Jerry: Yeah those girls can wrestle better than most of the roster, think it'll be a shame if they only keep them around as eye candy. Calvin: So the show began with a Chi-Church Cult promo hyping up the main event, which wasn't half bad... The idea they tried to get across here was that they wanted to bring down God's wrath or something on that abomination, but to be given the match and bloody stipulation, they had to put the title on the line and fight a three way match. Jerry: I guess they had to explain why it wasn't just one of them wrestling and let me point out Calv, someone got the memo because Scarlett Church was clearly stuck with Orcus and staying away from anything Moxley, but overall it was a pretty standard opening, some of the main stars setting up the night's main event. w Calvin: Opening match... Kurtis Payne defeated Gluttony... two stars, wasn't unbearable, though they probably should have kept it under ten minutes, I think after the sixth or eight minute the fans were starting to get bored... Jerry: I think they had no real reason to care? Like, there was nothing on the line... these two had no feud or rivalry... I personally had no idea why Gluttony was wrestling single here when he's one half of the tag team champions... Calvin: Tiffany Poe really saved this match for me. Jerry: Oh definately, she sold everything these guys did. Calvin: Like, she was so into every move... I was afraid she'd take it into comedy territory and sell even a basic chop like somebody was being murdered, but she kept a fine balance... Jerry: Ladies saved this show, Calvin, more ways than one. Calvin: We go backstage once the match is over and the Skull inception dudes are having a segment... Jerry: It's just Skull dudes or something now, is it? Calvin: Well you can't just say their full names all the time! Jerry: The announcers do. Calvin: Anyway, these two had a skit where Skullmageddon was basically scolding Skullsy for being so incompetent, you know? Jerry: Was like "why can't you be more like Jimmy from across the street?" Calvin: Yeah they had a real parent-teenager moment there, which is extra funny when done by two grown men in skeletal facepaint... Jerry: Also when you think Skullsy is supposed to be, like, Skullmageddon's teenage alter ego or something... Calvin: This was clearly played for laughs, and I loved the finish because Skullsy no-sold the entire yelling and only when Skullmageddon screamed "you'rrrrrrrrrrre grrrrrrrrrrounded!" it finally got across. Jerry: Vinnie Mac would be proud Calvin: Or shoot a Cease and Desist order Jerry: Or both. Calvin: Sadly the next segment wasn't as good, there was a lot of information to process and it was more exhausting trying to focus and understand what's going on and who's who... Jerry: They packed a lot of stuff into a single angle and never gave the audience time to let things sink in and be entertaining. Calvin: So apparently the Sins stable is growing until they can hit seven members and pull off the Seven Sins thing right... we had Gluttony and Tiffany Poe welcoming Pride... Jerry: That's the blond one with the Aussie accent... Calvin: Envy... Jerry: That's the Indian girl, also with an Aussie accent for some reason... Calvin: Which means Ugly Bob's character isn't gonna be named Envy... Jerry: I thought they were setting up a feud where he'd wrestle her for the rights to the name, but then realized they don't do intergender wrestling. Calvin: And finally, Lust... Jerry: That was so confusing... but not confusing in a bad way, I think Lust was delightfully weird... Calvin: For those of you who haven't seen Lust, that's a bisexual transgender worker we're talking here... Jerry: I think just picking a hot looking female to play Lust would have been the easy way out... too predictable... done a million times already... Calvin: And in keeping with the Sins' tradition of being the opposite of their characters, I discovered the worker portraying Lust is actually a virgin... Jerry: Of all the possible... Calvin: And I also found out that when they're not together doing their stable thing, she wrestles under the name Penny Tration Jerry: Bwahahahahahahahaha.... Calvin: Anyway, on with the segment, Sloth comes to join the group and welcome everyone, then Ugly Bob walks into the scene... Jerry: For the record, seeing Ugly Bob next to these ladies... what a visual... Calvin: So Ugly Bob walks in just as Pride and Envy mention they're scheduled to wrestle tonight against the Devil's Playthings and he's like "yeah dude and we have a tag match too next, so we gotta prepare" Jerry: Of course no one knows who this guy's supposed to be... Calvin: Sloth is pretty sure he's scheduled to tag with Tyrell Starr, so he says that must make this man Vanity, hence his opponent, Pride says that's part of her gig... Jerry: Vanity being an aspect of Pride, you mean... Calvin: Yeah and this is where it gets messy... So you get two tag team matches announced, Ugly Bob's name revealed as Vanity, him wanting to play with the Sins kids, Sloth regarding him as his opponent tonight, Pride saying being vain is her thing, everyone else saying Vanity's not even one of the Seven Deadly Sins, me being absolutely lost... Jerry: Better get straight to the match, which is exactly what the camera did, switching from this mess to Mikey Malice making his entrance... w Calvin: So we get Mikey Malice and Vanity, formerly known as Ugly Bob, against Tyrell Starr and Sloth... Jerry: And now due to the previous segment and Gluttony wrestling earlier, Sloth has a reason to be fighting Vanity here... Calvin: And Starr is feuding with Malice over the title... Jerry: I guess they're prolonging both feuds... Gluttony and Sloth would make more sense here, but who would be teaming with Vanity then? Plus they'd have to put the tag titles on the line, or provide a reason why they're not on the line... and then it'd be even messier than it already is! Calvin: So this was another decent two star match... Jerry: I will not make a Tyrell Starr joke there... Calvin: Thank you very much, Jerry, as I was saying, a decent match with a lot of story to be told... So we've established Malice and Starr are feuding for the title, that's one part of the match. The other was Vanity wanting to join the Sins and being absolutely baffled as to why he was wrestling against a member of that group! Jerry: He was hesitant, for sure... he'd try to wrestle Starr only, he'd tag out when Sloth was the legal man... he even held Mikey Malice back to prevent him from hurting Sloth! Calvin: I think that part was a bit of adjusting on the fly, because he and Malice seemed to be completely off with their timing... Kudos to Ugly Bob for his improv, genius way to roll with that issue and spin it into a tale. Jerry: So of course the finish was Vanity getting pinned out of nowhere with a roll up, but I was surprised it was Starr who scored the pin and not Sloth. Calvin: I guess they don't want to shut the door too early on this Vanity story and where Sloth stands on the issue... Plus Starr needed a victory after his title match loss. And he's the cruiserweight in a match full of brawlers... Jerry: So small, speedy, athletic guy... I get you Calvin: Now that was probably the low point of the show, but it was followed by the best match and segment in all of CTUC's short history so far... Jerry: Wouldn't say that stuff was the best in terms of actual quality... but they certainly got the loudest reaction anything CTUC so far has ever gotten. Calvin: So first we get a promo montage video hype package to introduce the trio of ladies known as The Devil's Playthings... Jerry: Arabella, Astrid and Lillith, y'all... Won't win any originality awards Calvin: What they did win was the hearts and minds of the audience though... I bet some fans will be seeing them in their nightmares after this video... Jerry: And a few Mid Western goths or teenage metalheads will be seeing them in their wet dreams too... Calvin: Yeah this was a treat for that 18-35 demographic, as was the next match... w Calvin: Pride and Envy, of the Sins, taking on... Astrid and Lillith, I still have to learn which one's which in that group, with Arabella at ringside. Jerry: This was a jigglefest that sent women's wrestling a good 20 years into the past... Calvin: I'd say more than that, Jerry, between the flesh shown, the Playthings' gimmicks and the overall atmosphere of CTUC, this was straight out of the golden age of Italian sexualized slasher flicks of the 60s and 70s Jerry: Which is a real shame, because I could tell, all these girls can wrestle so good if you put them in a straightforward match! Calvin: Compared to the rest of the roster, perhaps, because even in this eye candy of a match, I could tell there was a certain lack of flow to the way they told their story... whatever that story was, anyway... They could use a bit more ring psychology, but so far they've given Chi-Town Urban Combat its first match in the three star range, I'd say just over three stars actually but not three and a half solely due to that psychology issue. Jerry: And in typical CTUC fashion, next up was a bloodfest because sex and violence... w Calvin: Good luck following the reaction the semi main event got, but CTUC tried to do just that and their solution was to turn the violence levels to eleven! Jerry: Yeah this was by far the most violent, extreme, garbage deathmatch they've pulled off to date. By far. Calvin: So they did a Ladder match on their first show to crown a champion... had him defend his title on the second show in a Tables match... but this time it was a Barb Wire Cage match! And not just the kind where there's wire on top to make the escape harder, this was actually a cage made of criss-crossing lines of barb wire. Jerry: Guess it was cheaper to get and easier to set up than an actual cage? Calvin: And as if that wasn't enough, they also had the ring ropes wrapped in barb wire! Jerry: This one was for the Bucket of Blood title though, Cavin. I mean, I guess it's kinda fitting? Calvin: Well clearly they're making this their hardcore deathmatch title, if the name wasn't obvious enough... So it's the defending champion Orcus, versus Chris Moxley, versus... Both: EL CHUPACABRA! Jerry: Gosh, I'll never grow tired of that! Calvin: So this began as we all probably expected it to, stablemates Orcus and Moxley teaming up against their opponent and then arguing when it was time to make the pin, because that would also determine who walks away with the title... Jerry: I mean... it was nothing suprising... but again, I don't mind when there's delivery upon a promise, you know? Doesn't have to be swerves all the time, especially when it's just a sweve for swerve's sake. I like my wrestling to have consistency and a reasonable progression from point A to point B. Calvin: That is true, though I did like that bit of character when they finally hit the wire and got all bloodied and that gave El Chupacabra a second wind. Jerry: You mean... EL CHUPACABRA! Calvin: EL CHUPACABRA indeed, I stand corrected, but yeah how the blood brought him back into the match with a renewed zeal... that was a nice touch. Jerry: Had to, that's his gimmick, right? Calvin: I guess so, plus it kinda helped get to the finish... so EL CHUPACABRA is biting on a blinded and exhausted Chris Moxley, who's stumbling about outside the ring and a pounce sends him back first onto the cage but also onto Scarlett Church who, remember, is still around but outside the cage... Jerry: Yeah Scarlett's been around the cage the entire match and she was yelling directions and screaming and such... she really helped tell the story of how Orcus and Moxley worked together, then had a falling out and got jumped. Calvin: So Scarlett's going mental by this point and if the cage wasn't made of barb wire she'd be climbing it to get inside, but for now she's just up close so Moxley bumps onto the cage and basically shoves it into her face... Jerry: Which is another nice detail to him and Church not really functioning together... Calvin: It is, I didn't think of that... Anyway, that spot happens, Scarlett is now bleeding because Moxley was slammed onto the cage and she was real close on the outside... and the beast does that slow turn of the head... Jerry: Aaaah, fresh meat... Calvin: Yes, apparently she's young and beautiful and female so now that she's bleeding, she sends EL CHUPACABRA into a blood frenzy... Jerry: Blood frenzy is right, he was foaming at the mouth and trying to knock down that cage wall, how they got him to do that spot on a wall made of barb wire I'll never know... Calvin: I think he also had a Silence of the Lambs moment... you know, when he slithered in her face, just inches away with only the wall between them? Jerry: I think he managed to lick a bit of the blood off her face too, there? Calvin: Classy... CTUC will not go down in the history books for its taste, but this whole thing was the opening for Orcus to hit the Sin List, win the match and retain while out of breath and probably a few gallons short on blood by that point... Jerry: Real car wreck of a match... they really upped the insanity for this one. Calvin: Yeah but they really couldn't go all the way with it, I'd say two and a quarter stars, tops. The semi really took a lot of steam out of the main event. Jerry: But the show overall was slightly better than what CTUC has so far put on Calvin: It was and that's largely thanks to the ladies introduced... I'm guessing they might even add a title belt eventually for them to fight over. Jerry: That might be a thing... Women stealing the spotlight from the men might also be a thing Calvin: You know what is a thing? Them airing even later than they used to Jerry: Really? Calvin: Yeah I wasn't joking when I said this last show looked like a sexualized slasher horror flick... Apparently their network noticed too and pushed them to the graveyard slot past midnight. Jerry: Was there an announcement? Calvin: Not from the network, but they announced their next show with a disclaimer about it being broadcast at a different time... They also decided to call it Darkness Falls. Jerry:I'm not sure if they're being ironic or if it's a sign they're not on good terms with the network. Calvin: We'll see about that, for now here's what they have in store for their upcoming show on April

J-Ro and Ariwara met again after the former beat the latter for the WINNOW Grand Champion title, while Kuroda, herself a former WINNOW Rising Champion, sought to break into the main event scene. Last but not least, Thea Davis, who's been rock solid and constantly improving with each match, showed she belongs with the roster's top names after going toe to toe with them for ten or so minutes. She and Eri Sato pulled out all the stops to deliver the most fast paced, hard hitting, show stealing spectacle they could, the outcome sending fans into frenzied screams thanks to not just their skills but also the way they seemed to mesh with each other. It took almost fifteen minutes, two Buzzsaw Kicks, a Sato Tornado and a suplerplex version of the Yamatotal to end this match, but by the time it was over, the sold out Hall of Nagahama was on its feet for a standing ovation to both women for their effort and warrior spirit on display.</p><p> <strong>Winner: Romi Yamato (Defenses: 1)</strong></p><p><strong> Finish: Yamatotal [Cross-arm German Suplex with a bridge]</strong></p><p> <img alt="pyf9Pt4.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/pyf9Pt4.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="rP9LuoR.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/rP9LuoR.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> Out of breath but still the champion, Romi Yamato delivered the go-home speech to send fans off on a happy note, praising Sato for her toughness and warning Joanne Rodriguez that sooner or later, she's coming for her title as well.</p><p> <img alt="gUMXSOo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/gUMXSOo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="vPM9lw6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vPM9lw6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></p></div><p></p><p></p>

  12. She has already been signed, but my broadcaster vetoes her gimmick, if that tells you anything about what's in store for her. The same broadcaster also vetoes light tube matches, which are supposed to be CTUC's trademark, thus I'm waiting for our contract to run out so I can switch to a more open minded network and really let loose

Both men used this match to showcase what the buzz around their names is all about, putting on a lucha clinic between Phantom's high flying and Mítico's technical prowess. He mumbled something, but his head dropped, unsupported by the muscles on his neck. The mirrored red shades he'd always wear in public slid a bit down his nose. The airplane's seatbelt apparently was the only thing holding him from collapsing down to the floor.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>"Someone call an ambulance!"</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> On the way to the hospital, riding on the back of the ambulance and holding Slick's hand, she couldn't help but think back on the mess that was their relationship. The mess her entire life was. She was born and raised in Portland, but went south to chase her Hollywood dreams of being an actress. Like most aspiring actresses, she eventually had to face the harsh reality of show business overflowing with aspiring workers. Her good looks helped her land a job as a waitress, then quickly shot her to hostess at Brother Grimm's Warehouse. When the boss decided to set up GSW, he needed hot ladies for the crowd to feast their eyes upon, which was how she inadvertantly got into the business as Busta Capp's arm candy. That's where she and Slick met. Where they began dating. And just when they started going steady and making plans to move in together, GSW folded. She still had her job at The Warehouse, but Slick was immediately signed by Piledriver off to the East. They pushed him hard and put the title on him fast. Slick would still do shows for Pro Wrestling Max in San Fransisco, but his main gig was Piledriver. They were bigger, they paid better and they had a TV deal. So she had to yield and follow after him. Slick put in a good word and Lee Wright decided to bring Kandii on board so they could spend some more time together. They put her with Nate DeMarcus first, but the two of them didn't click so that was going to change. Whether they'd openly recognize the real life relationship between her and Slick or whether they'd try teaming her with a new wrestler, she didn't know yet. What she did know was that she flew in from Portlant, Slick flew in from L.A., they met in Dallas and by the time their flight landed in Atlanta, Slick was a subdued shell of a man from all the pills he'd guzzled.</p><p> </p><p> Kandii knew from back in them GSW days, Slick would work crazy hardcore matches and he needed the chemical assistance to rebound in time for the next show. She hadn't thought much of it at the time, especially given the overall atmosphere in GSW's locker room. Most wrestlers would drink the pain away or hit the blunt so hard they'd barely feel anything any more. Slick's tag team partner Aces High was a notorious party animal and drug fiend, to the point where Grimm fired him before 2016 was over. Compared to that, a few painkillers seemed innocent enough. Seeing Slick almost flatline now, she viewed things in a different light.</p><p> </p><p> And as if that wasn't enough, she'd have to call Piledriver and tell them Slick wasn't going to show up. At Night of Champions, of all shows, and while he was still the champion. There would be consequences for that, both immediate and regarding his long term booking, if not his employment status in general. Maybe hers too. Life just wasn't going to get any easier for either of them anytime soon.</p>

All five participants were more or less on the same level and we were off to a shocing start as last year's winner Bernard was the first to be eliminated after a big brawl with Annihilus and a combined effort by Night, Hollands and Pyle who (no pun intended) piled on top of him for the first pin. The remaining competitors then teamed up to take Annihilus down and while the big man did end up out of the ring, he wasn't also out of the match. Jules Night kept the pressure on the fallen monster while the ladies fought it out in the ring. Hollands got the fall over Pyle, but she had little time to savour it as Night crept back into the ring and took her out from behind with Rick Law's "Long Arm Of The Law" finisher! Of course, that left him on his own against Annihilus and thus the Finnish monster had no problem in squashing the masked lawman to become this year's Golden Graduate.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winner: Annihilus, by pinfall</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="M4SOg7D.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/M4SOg7D.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <div style="padding: 15px; border: 3px solid #000000; margin:10px;background: #F5F5F5; max-width:50%;box-shadow: 0 6px 12px ";"><strong>2020 Golden Graduate</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="WuYw4C6.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WuYw4C6.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">"The Monster" Annihilus</span></strong></div></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="aJatmCo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/aJatmCo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bTg9gTY.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bTg9gTY.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Piledriver Wrestling's authority figure in Gorgon was out next and she had an announcement she was less than happy to make: since the Piledriver Champion Cali Slick failed to show up on a night where he was expected to defend his title, he would thus be stripped of it and the title would be hung up the rafters and contested for in a four corners Ladder match between the four men that headlined War for Territory #36: Ernest Youngman, Masked Patriot, Robbie Wright and Xavi Ferrera. Fans popped but they joy was soon cut short by El Masked Sheik who crashed the party, screaming that The Carolinas Network did not approve of such an "extreme" stipulation. Gorgon was not happy to have a wrench thrown into her plans, but under threat of having the broadcast deal called off, she had to yield and agree to make the main event a Four Corners Elimination match instead, but only as long as she could also insert her protege, Claire Winters, into the Piledriver Women's title match.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p></p><img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="Wo55mpi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Wo55mpi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Wo55mpi.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Wo55mpi.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> COTT World Tag Team titles match</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="OMuDnHg.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/OMuDnHg.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="4LTspFc.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/4LTspFc.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="7rS8uzo.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/7rS8uzo.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> The Good Ol' Boys © (with Vinny Cruz)</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="oiCenqK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/oiCenqK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="Idx6BNr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/Idx6BNr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><strong>w</strong><img alt="orMSYPb.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/orMSYPb.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> The Boys from the Yukon (with Lisa Bowen)</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="k2Enuj8.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/k2Enuj8.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="PSW6j5L.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/PSW6j5L.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> The Heartbreak Express</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="GIRKb76.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/GIRKb76.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="SJYcxhu.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SJYcxhu.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="vunGiRs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/vunGiRs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> McManus & Garner</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> As the announcing team brought up, the COTT titles can not normally be contested for between members of the same promotion, however given the night's special stipulation of every title being on the line, the alliance allowed this matchup, which essentially featured the champions against every regular tag team except the two scheduled to wrestle for the Piledriver Tag Team titles later on. Given the history between the Good Ol' Boys, The Boys from the Yukon, The Heartbreak Express and their managers, there was no shortage of drama and tension in this match, with the Express eliminated first after Whittaker caught Needham mid-air to reverse a crossbody into a slam for the pin. Garner was the next to get hit with a big move, the inexperienced youngster getting a little overconfident against the Iowa champions and letting his defenses down to get hit with an Iowa Harvest for the pin, which brought the match down to the two bitter rivals, Cruz and Bowen's teams. The start of the match featured several near falls, with competitors still fresh and with plenty of people available to break up pins and it wasn't until the fourteenth minute that Xavi Ferrera got hit with the Wright Move and then the Patriot Slam to get eliminated. This led to a de facto alliance between the two remaining babyfaces and the decision paid dividends once Youngman got eliminated, leaving Patriot and Wright to finish it up as the match crescendoed into an athletic contest full of competition and hunger for victory. Wright hit Patriot with everything he had but couldn't keep the persistent masked man down so he had to go high risk, only for him to crash and burn when he came up empty. As one would expect, every member of both teams puts on a great performance in what would otherwise could be a messy multi-man match, but the story is built around the consistency of the League and their momentum since reclaiming the mask of Captain Hero, versus the internal tensions of the Real Deal, which end up with the Lawal brothers flipping off their teammates and leaving them to return backstage, the 4 on 2 situation quickly ending the match with Lister pinning Edison after a Kanobi Kutter.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: The League of Heroes</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="At6zmyr.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/At6zmyr.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="TgQORsF.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/TgQORsF.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="bGfQcLk.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/bGfQcLk.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="wuo51A1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wuo51A1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="WUS40Jt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/WUS40Jt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> Marat Khoklov & Dovydas Vidmar vs Champagne Lover & Wade Orson</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Lots to break down in this match and the announcing team does just that, first bringing up how Orson lately has had Vidmar's number, beating him on several occasions, then the recent brawl where Orson saved the NGW Open Collective champions before Khoklov got involved and now the highly anticipated match for Back to School that was announced last week, Marat defending his right to face the NGW Heavyweight champion at End of the World in December against Champagne Lover. There is also the aspect of the blue chipper Orson teaming with one of NGW's biggest names in Lover, against the top two men in the Czars. All the above feed into the match and in turn are showcased in the story told. Vidmar starts the match being his usual bruiser self against Orson, who fights back with a mix of technical grappling, power moves and big suplexes. The tag is made to Champagne Lover who picks up the pace with some high flying but can't put Vidmar down. The Bratva Bruiser is able to tag in Khoklov and the two scheduled opponents have a brief staredown, before Marat starts to throw the former NGW Heavyweight champion around. Realizing the danger, Orson blind tags himself in during one of Lover's runs to the ropes and Vidmar asks to be tagged back in so he can beat down his recent nemesis. However, when Marat blocks the ref's field of view and Vidmar goes for his vodka bottle, Orson is ready and avoids the blow, before grabbing the bottle off Vidmar's hands to smash it on his head and drive his bloodied head to the mat with a DDT for the pin.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Champagne Lover & Wade Orson</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="wuo51A1.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/wuo51A1.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> After the match, Champagne Lover retreats to a safe distance a grabs a mic.</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46461" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Lover: <strong>"Hey Marat... J-Ro and Behr are able to hold back the powerful amazon warrior for most of the match, but Etsuko's potent mix of strikes and submission holds is just too much for Behr, who is hit with a decaptating Darkness Falls running knee and falls down for the pin while Geena hits the Amazon Plunge to knock Rodriguez off the apron and hold her away at ringside and prevent her from breaking up the cover.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Winners: Fusae Etsuko & Geena the Warrior Princess</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p><strong> </strong><img alt="sma3Die.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/sma3Die.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46461" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Confirmed matches for Back to School</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><ul><li>NGW Heavyweight title match: "Alpha Male" Edward Cornell © vs "The Gentleman Grappler" Nelson Frye<br /></li><li>NGW Women's title No Disqualification match: "The Gothic Grappler" Fusae Etsuko © vs Joanne "J-Ro" Rodriguez<br /></li><li>Tag Team titles unification match: Double Dutch vs The Johanssons<br /></li><li>Marat Khoklov vs Champagne Lover, for the right to face the NGW Heavyweight champion in the main event of End of the World in December</li></ul><p></p><p> Plus the Brand Split Draft, an appearance by Stig Svensson to reclaim the Captain Hero mask and more!</p></div></blockquote>

Samoan Demolition are absolutely relentless in their intensity, but Sturt puts the breaks with a big atomic drop on King Malietoa that seems to have him limping for the rest of the match. The opening allows Sturt and Mueller to grab chairs and introduce some hardcore elements to the match, though an unprotected chair shot to the head is no-sold by the Brisbane Devil, much to the Guru's excitement on commentary. Still, with Malietoa's mobility severely limited, the match plays out more like a handicap 2 on 1 before the Guru leaves the announcers' table to pull the chair out of Mueller's hands. Mueller takes out the Guru with a stunner, but that only sets him up for the Devil's Drop and the pin.</p><p> <strong>Winners: Samoan Demolition</strong></p><p> <img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="V9qxqnh.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/V9qxqnh.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="CwNnmYt.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/CwNnmYt.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="BkNOTvT.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/BkNOTvT.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="25UZG0h.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/25UZG0h.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="SpVZv3o.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/SpVZv3o.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="xr8BGPl.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/xr8BGPl.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <strong>The Comedian & Mayhem Mulhoney vs The Barracudas</strong></p><p> Following the Barracudas' attack during last week's opening segment, The Comedian teams up with fellow veteran Mayhem Mulhoney to punish Rourke and Case for their actions. Vaughan's size and power advantage sees him dominate the match early, even getting a two count after a chokeslam, but Miss Cerizabeth is there to distract him and provide her man with a chance to rebound. As if that wasn't enough, Vaughan slaps the snot out of Miss Cerizabeth, firing up Blaze for an explosive comeback leading to a near fall following a big elbow drop off the turnbuckle. The two men almost collapse onto each other, spent and tired past the ten minute mark and after some back and forth grappling, Vaughan slips through to lock in the Choke Sleeper. With Miss Cerizabeth out after his shot and Blaze Maximum dead center in the middle of the ring, the hold is kept for almost a full minute but Blaze finally taps out just before the fourteenth minute of the match.</p><p> <strong>Winner: Vaughan</strong></p><p> <img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <img alt="DE0wmcP.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/DE0wmcP.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> As soon as the bell rings, Tombstone runs down to the ring and before Vaughan can release the Choke Sleeper, he drops behind him to lock in the Rear Naked Choke in a three man entanglement spot! Vaughan fights to get out of it and Tombstone eventually lets go, but only so he can beat down the out of breath leader of the Barracudas while his men are recovering after their match against the Comedian and Mulhoney. The show ends with Tombstone standing tall and the announcers commenting on this being payback for the Barracudas' attack during the start of last week's show.</p><p> <img alt="87E3trK.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/87E3trK.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Show Rating:</span></strong></p><p> <img alt="ozLd3Bm.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ozLd3Bm.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div></p></div><p></p><p></p>

  23. Back to the Future, Monday Week 3 of September 2013 NGW Back to the Future (Weekly TV show) Held on Monday, Week 3 of September 2013 Venue: Trelleborg Velodrome, Sweden, Europe Attendance: 3.008, Ratings: 0.69 (520.340 viewers), Shown on Continental Sports X1 The episode kicks off with a big announcement the broadcast team breaks down: following last week's main event match, this week we'll be seeing the competitors in tag team action as Wael Hossam teams up with Edward Cornell to take on "The Gentleman Grappler" Nelson Frye and "The Louisiana Pitbull" Robert Howard! The Czars vs Wade Orson, Ripper LeStat, Menace & Paolo Gandalfini The opening match also continued from where last week left off, after the Czars attacked the NGW Open Collective champions, with Orson and Khoklov getting involved. This contest was about telling two stories, Vidmar and the Ivanoffs feuding with the champions as well as Orson having Vidmar's number lately. The two plotlines made for some entertaining wrestling, but the big finish saw Marat destroy Menace with a ring-shaking Russian Legend Powerbomb to make a statement. Winners: The Czars As soon as the match was over, a graphic was shown to announce another match for Back to School: with Champagne Lover losing the NGW Heavyweight title to Edward Cornell, the match fans were waiting to see will be happening at Back to School as Marat Khoklov will be defending his Starmageddon King of the Ring prize against Champagne Lover! w The Outcasts vs Geena the Warrior Princess & The Johanssons (with Signe Lytjohan) Following the surprise success of Geena's recent teaming with Robert Howard, this was another chance for her to shine next to the powerhouse team of the Johanssons and she did just that, taking on McKenna and then Mallory before Koller was able to shut her down. The Johanssons brought a lot of power to the table, but their lack of speed and wrestling experience showed; the Outcasts almost won the match and it took a distraction from Signe Lytjohan to turn things around and allow Hercules to hoist Mallory in the Hercules Lift for the submission win. Winners: Geena the Warrior Princess & The Johanssons NGW's Commissioner Sebastian Krause took center stage next, to announce the name and logo of the new brand and TV show... Proving Ground! "The Fresh Prince of Belarus" Sergei Kalashnov vs Shiro Akuma Though not often seen on NGW TV, Sergei Kalashnov is somewhat of an indy sensation across Europe and this match showed why: him and Akuma went all out in this crazy match that was further enhanced by their apparent chemistry and how they seemed to feed off each other's moves and energy. Ten minutes packed with action, high flying moves and crazy stunts, this match delivered a show stealing performance and Akuma got the win courtesy of his Akuma Cradle finisher. Winner: Shiro Akuma Joanne Rodriguez & Jeri Behr vs Fusae Etsuko & Megumi Nakajima It was the two J-ladies against the two Japanese Joshi competitors next, with the added element of the J-Ro-Etsuko title feud and Girl Power being split into opposing teams. This didn't seem to slow down Behr and Rodriguez though, who displayed an intrinsic understanding of each other's styles to the point where they looked like they had been teaming up forever. This slick teamwork gave Etsuko and especially Nakajima a hard time and Rodriguez was able to finally roll Nakajima up for the pin in an overall outstanding match. Winners: Joanne Rodriguez & Jeri Behr Champagne Lover hosted his popular interview segment next, Lover's Lounge. His guests, in the aftermath of the new brand and show announcement were none other than the founding duo of NGW, Leon Harrison and John Silver. Cornell & Hossam vs The Gentleman and The Pitbull Both pairings have documented chemistry which elevated this match to new heights, but Fry and Howard also have the advantage of actual experience teaming together. This gave them the slight advantage throughout this match, an otherwise pretty even and competitive bout built up slowly across more than fifteen minutes of action and in-ring psychology before Howard hit the Bull Tackle on Hossam for the win. Winners: The Gentleman and The Pitbull Show Rating:
  24. I was about to say, that looks like a somewhat grown up Hashimoto, should be a great render for her TEW2020 version!

Hopefully this will change with TEW2020, Adam's latest update certainly gives me hope towards that with trait tags such as Explosive Style, where workers get greater bonuses in short, all out matches but penalties in long, slowly built bouts.</p><p> </p><p> P.S. To add to Historian's response to Munit, my idea began when I realized the dark spot on Komine's resume was Kikkawa walking out to start INSPIRE, then Komine was ousted when his successor was able to rope Kikkawa back in. I started a save where Komine bought the rights to INSPIRE and resurrected the promotion to get back at Burning Hammer with a side dose of irony, but it never went anywhere. Historian ran with the idea, switched INSPIRE with TIER-1 and began this wonderful diary. Given his track record, this should be really really good.</p>
