  1. How do I bring someone back to life? Inoki died in my '97 save and I want him back. I tried changing his status but that didn't work.
  2. <p><img alt="mLBLdrG.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/mLBLdrG.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> <img alt="0U5ZVXw.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0U5ZVXw.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> That went better than expected.</p><p> </p><p> That tag was just a throwaway because I knew the main would be good. I also thought the main would get an 87/89 because Savage is 46 but he proved me wrong.</p><p> </p><p> That tag match was the best match in WCW history and this random episode of Thunder was better than the last two Starrcades (Starrcade '97 won card of the year too.)</p>

What do you do? <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> The point being, there has to be a balance in the game between information and realism. Sure, not everyone is going to complain about something to the boss every time and it can be annoying to handle all the complaints. But at the same time, if you as a player weren't being given the relevant information and that started hurting your game experience then you'd expect something else.</p><p> </p><p> You're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Do people still get unhappy if you turn off complaints? It's not the complaints that annoy me, it's the effect.</p><p> </p><p> Because it makes no sense. Most of the guys I don't book are on written deals but they're simply not good enough to be on the show.</p><p> </p><p> I could send 'em to developmental but a lot of companies don't have developmental. I could fire them but then I'd have to pay them a lump sum.</p><p> </p><p> I'm paying them to just sit at home. What is there to complain about exactly?</p>
  4. <p>I'm shocked Nash is doing that well in 2001 considering Nash is getting 68s in my '98 WFW. Which I think is way more accurate than Nash being even serviceable in 2002.</p><p> </p><p> I basically hide him in tag matches with Sting to keep him relevant.</p>
  5. <p>Forget Ahmed, the real news story is El Hijo Del Santo. He wrestled for WCW at When Worlds Collide 1998 through a trade with CMML. Unbeknownst to me, this gave him U.S. eligibility and he just signed a written deal with the WWF.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Which sucks because he could've feuded with Chavo or Eddie or tagged with Rey. I would've loved being able to use him on a weekly basis but now he gets to have opening match feuds with Brian Christopher and Funaki. Great.</p>
  6. It's '97 WCW. Awesome is in my developmental.I'm trying to get his overness up. My backstage is a 68 but I think it was worse before Hogan left. My problem now is Goldberg and Bischoff. Bischoff is awful backstage but I can't fire him because I don't want to upset Goldberg. Goldberg is also kind of a prick but I can handle him. Bagwell is also a huge headache for me.
  7. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="KnowYourEnemy" data-cite="KnowYourEnemy" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Screwing Hogan does have some major drawbacks. While he's deep in Time Decline, he has a ton of star quality, so he could easily tip the national battle for the fed. He probably has some friends in the company and they'll hate you for it. <p> </p><p> There are two ways to get that belt off Hogan without him taking the pin. </p><p> </p><p> You could go with the "Dusty Finish" to the match and hold up the title belt. Have Sting clearly win, but a second corrupt referee [Nick Patrick] overturns the ruling to a count out/dq, and the belt gets held up. Then, have the title put up in a gimmick match: I'd bring back Battebowl, but War Games or World War 3 work too. For Battlebowl, you can have Hogan randomly paired with a midcarder and lose in the qualifier to Sting & Luger, then have Sting beat both Hall and Nash in the Battlebowl to take home the Championship. </p><p> </p><p> You could have a title match scheduled, but the Hall or Nash rush the ring, DDP or Piper make the save, have the referee lose control, so the title stays on the line in a tag match. Then, have Sting win the match for his team. </p><p> </p><p> Don't select a loser in the match. There's a decent chance the computer will select Hogan to take the pin. If someone at odds with Hogan does road agent work, such as the Macho Man, this increases the chances Hulk will take the fall. </p><p> </p><p> Either should get the belt from Hogan without being pinned.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> I screwed Hogan. It didn't matter in the long room for a variety of reasons. I lost the national for January but by the start of February Sting was more popular than Hogan. Goldberg also skyrocketed in popularity after beating Hogan.</p>
  8. <p>I wish I was written a journal for my 1997 WCW game. Goldberg won the title from Hogan in a screwjob at Starrcade then started a feud with new NWO member Scott Steiner. Hall and Nash attacked Sting on Nitro the night after Starrcade as revenge for the Hogan screwjob which lead to Sting bringing in Warrior and reuniting The Blade Runners against The Outsiders. </p><p> </p><p> Mike Tyson joined the NWO and tried to attack Sting after a match but he got speared by Goldberg then at Souled Out, Tyson tried to attack Goldberg in retaliation for the spear but got beaten up with a bat by Sting instead.</p><p> </p><p> Sid Vicious won World War Three and has a title shot against Goldberg but he's dealing with Bret Hart now because Bret is feuding with The Flock and Sid recently joined The Flock. </p><p> </p><p> The Thrillseekers are also together and Jericho is almost a Main Eventer. They've mostly been helping Bret deal with the NWO.</p><p> </p><p> Shane Douglas also joined the NWO after they kicked out Konan.</p>
  9. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="sheepy" data-cite="sheepy" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41193" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Could you introduce a third wrestler and take it off him in a triple threat?<p> </p><p> Failing that I'd pick 2 <img alt=";)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/wink.png.686f06e511ee1fbf6bdc7d82f6831e53.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Nope. He refuses to drop the belt at all so...</p>
  10. <p>So I'm playing 1997 WCW and I've got a huge problem. Hogan won't drop the World Heavyweight Championship to Sting so I've got three options.</p><p> </p><p> One, Sting "injures" Hogan and Hogan vacates the belt. Then Sting beats Hall or Nash to win it. I hate this option because I don't think it's a satisfactory conclusion to the feud.</p><p> </p><p> Two, Goldberg is willing to screw Hogan. Hogan will quit but Nash and Hall will stay. Hogan's already in time decline so I'm not sure how much he gives the WWF now. This is what I want to do but I'm open to being talked out of it.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Three, I use the editor to remove Hogan's creative control. Bischoff stupidly gave Hogan creative control but Turner fired Bischoff. It makes sense removing Hogan's creative control in the process of undoing Bischoff's damage and cronyism.</p>

But if you're getting ESPN interviews (see Marty Scurll, Cody Rhodes, Kazuchika Okada, etc.), usually you're doing pretty well in America (in fact. I've argued that even the Young Bucks should be around 60-65 US pop, Omega at 70, cause quite frankly, when people outside wrestling are hearing about them, yeahhh)</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <strong>This!!!!!!</strong></p><p> </p><p> I've been trying to get a longtime RW modern game going but it's impossible to do so because of how inaccurate Non-WWE popularity is. ROH-NJPW just sold out MSG. Cody is doing interviews with Rolling Stone.</p><p> </p><p> Give these guys the popularity they have in the real world.</p>

  13. I've never gotten why Allman is a villain. I guess he has an ego but he's still right about most things. He's not perfect but I don't see him as a villain.
  14. Playing the 1991 mod and HBK superkicked Hulk Hogan on the first episode of Raw then Hogan beat Mr. Perfect for the IC title at SNME only to be kicked in the face again. 1991 is going to be the year of Hulk Hogan be getting kicked in the head.
  15. What is going on with Rush? Mexico is weird in general but Rush Vs La Park is the biggest feud in the country.
  16. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="soxfan93" data-cite="soxfan93" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41263" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I think this would fall into this particular topic, although it's not exactly a tag team or stable.<p> </p><p> I've recently started a 2017 NJPW game, and I want to open some developmental companies. Generally, I open small companies in different areas and put them on my network. The advent of NXT UK has seemingly cemented my original idea of NJPW USA, NJPW UK, etc., with area-specific NJPW logos. Before I go through with such a venture, I wanted to see if any of you had some other ideas regarding names for area-specific branches of my developmental tree.</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Mexico: Nuevo Lucha Libre</p><p> </p><p> UK: Lion's Pit. Billy Robinson was a key member in early NJPW and he trained at "The Snake Pit" in Wigan.</p>
  17. Weirdest development so far is that my character somehow learned spanish. My company is in the southwest and I am strong friends with Richie Santana Jr. but otherwise I have no clue how I learned spanish.

Is Adam Sullivan the kind of guy to start wars? I don't know.</p>
  19. Year 4 and my progress has slowed considerably. TVerse has awful broadcasters for cult so it's a slog to national. I might jump ship just because it's going to be like a decade to national.
  20. ECWX just declared war on my RTG company and I have no idea why. We're an American Strong Style company in the south west and they're a garbage company from Philly. We're not competing at all yet they hate us us. Weird.
  21. <p><img alt="3TMBBDV.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/3TMBBDV.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <img alt="YnPds9b.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/YnPds9b.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Year 1 done.</p><p> </p><p> Rolled a 43 then a 17 so Gold Phoenix got the pop boost. My company is regional with a hundred and sixty-two grand in the bank. I might have this.</p>
  22. Awesome feature I just discovered, The game knows I'm booking a mixed tag even though my roster isn't integrated.
  23. RTG is nuts. Two shows a week for 10 months got me to regional and a tv deal. Made twenty-nine grand last week and my user character has had fifty matches in ten months. We're eighty-nine grand in the hole so I'm concerned about that.
  24. One side is made up of wrestling gods and the other is an old territory guy, a guy who hung around the NOAH midcard for awhile and the color guy for Lucha Underground. It's like the 1985 Lakers playing your cousin larry's rec league team.
  25. Booking '98 AJPW is weird. Akiyama/Taue/Williams Vs George Hines/Vampiro/Tamon Honda looks so strange even though all those guys wrestled in AJPW in real life.
