1.
Company Importance question:

What is going on with my companies importance rating? In my companies home country (Canada) popularity is at an all time high, an 'A' in every region. This popularity has not gone down ever. In neighboring counties my popularity is 'B' or 'B+'. These include USA, Mexico, and UK. My TV broadcasters have not changed. And my events have been on PPV since well before my rise in popularity and I have changed carriers to one that has a 'Huge' size for Canada (and USA), this is up from the previous broadcaster who had a 'Very Big' in Canada. My 'A' Shows and Events have gotten 'A's since I was Cult sized.

And yet I still lose my international size every other month. My importance goes down to C+ in Manitoba and Saskatchewan even though the popularity in both regions is still 'A'. In fact, the week I fell from International to National I had just did an 'A' TV show in Saskatchewan that received an 'A*' on Monday. By Thursday my importance there went to C+.

The regional/national battles are 'off'. My company popularity is not going below 'A'. Yet still I lose international size every other month because of importance in my own country.

 2. Is there a limit to how many people a manager can manage? Is there diminishing returns at some point?
 3. I know how you feel. My alliance has a male and a female title. The female title has been used 8 out of the last six months (all alliance companies run monthly only, so this is pretty frequent). The male's title has been stripped because it wasn't defended in so long, and it's about to be stripped off the current holder for the same reason.

One of them is corrupted apparently and it crashes trying to import it, I can’t remeber exactly which one it is but it’s one of the first 5 or so.

Forgot to report it but I’m 99% sure this is the same issue I was having. If you deselect a few you should be able to import the rest fine

Oh, thank you. I'll poke around with it and see what happens. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

 6.

Is there some criteria by which alliance titles change hands? I've seen some really daft title changes that seem to make no sense so I'm wondering if alliance titles are treated differently than promotion level titles. For example:

Missy Masterson (popularity 97 in the area the show is held) loses an alliance title to Lioness Mushashibo (popularity 65 in the area the show is held).

Maribel Mercado (75 in North West) loses alliance title to Jessica Bunny (24 in North West).

Callisto (71 in Mid South) loses alliance title to Marie Punnen (30 in Mid South). With this one, I thought it might be age (the title is for 'Youngsters') but Callisto and Marie are both 19!

The only reason this bothers me is because I actually USE the titles whereas the AI does not. Even with the titles set to 'often' for TV and Events, when the AI controls titles, they're used sporadically (once every 8-10 weeks if they have TV, every 3-4 shows if they only run monthly). I have the alliance's world title currently on Alicia Strong (100 pop across the world except in British Isles where she's 97) with a hot storyline across three promotions and she's defended it 9 times in seven months. Seven of those defenses were on my shows (one was AAA and one was WTW, my developmental promotion). She defends it on every PPV for me but almost never for the alliance partners. (And money doesn't factor in since WTW is a developmental promotion (which means I pay their bills) and AAA has $15+ million in the bank).

Just curious as to how this works. I've never been able to get workers to drop alliance titles to people ridiculously less popular than they are but the AI is known to "cheat" so maybe alliance titles are treated differently when booked by the AI.

One factor maybe with AI owners to consider is, are they tight-fisted or generous with the budget. I notice AIs that are scrooges won't spring for much of anything, even if they have the money.

 7. Oh, my game wouldn't let me import the names from the Cornellverse so I just didn't have any at all.
 8.
Houseshows with a Brand Split:

Has anyone gotten a company large enough that you could run houseshows and then a brand split at the same time? How did it work? Did each brand run separate houseshows or were they concurrent? Did the roster work together? If not, was there a way to test chemistry between workers of a separate brand?

And no company ever creates new TV shows, be it in the 50s or the 80s. Broadcaster requirements are not the problem. I can create TV shows without any problems. And the AI companies even have their events on TV, as well. They are also big enough to create TV shows (regional or cult) and rich enough (10 millions in the bank).

I even made the test and removed all default TV shows in the default database via the pre-game editor. Started a new game and within weeks all relevant AI companies had created new TV shows. Which also proves what Adam himself posted in this thread here - that they can.

So: What are the requirements?

I was working on my own database modification and I had issues importing TV show names from the Default/Cornell database. I assume without those names an AI cannot make a show.

 10.

Keep Strong is just that their popularity drop reduces significantly (to, like, nothing). Protect is that they don't lose as much popularity when losing (don't know in comparison to Keep Strong), their weaknesses are hidden, and their potential popularity from winning is decreased. Both ding the match rating.

Here's some other things to consider...

If you're having a worker beat someone more popular than them, and don't want their popularity to shoot up, you can put Protect on the winner so they don't gain that much popularity. You can also put Keep Strong on the loser. Great tactic for getting a title belt off someone more popular than the title's worth, to prevent a never ending cycle of workers getting over because they beat the more popular title holder. There's only one penalty to the match rating, too.

Putting Keep Strong and Protect on the same worker, as I just learned this week, will actually make them more likely to lose a match if they're complaining about the loss.

Thanks! And thank you, too Franticloser. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

 11.
Road Agent Notes:

What is the difference in 'Keep Strong' and 'Protect'? Is one more ideal for those workers suffering from time decline? Is there a better one for using when you are taking a mid-card title off of someone you are going to push to main event in the near future?

 13. I'd rather thought of it more like Mr. Ted Turner's role as owner of WCW. He owned Turner Networks and had access to commercial broadcasters as a result and purchased WCW to have an 'in-house' wrestling promotion to put on his networks and compete with WWE.
 14. Popularity question: Is a worker's popularity effected by the match's overall rating or their personal rating? Like if someone is rated A* but the match only gets a B (due to time, say) which value is used to determine the effect on the popularity?
 15.
Chemistry

I have a question about chemistry and editing the database:

In the database edit screen there is a reminder to not give workers chemistry just because they are having high rated matches together. Does that mean there is a way to edit chemistry in-game?

 16.

My Women's World Tag Champs were loaned out to another company. Well, one of the workers ended up breaking her neck. So, if I understand correctly, if I go to the title screen, I can replace the person with the broken neck with another worker. Now, if I do this does it remove the entry for the person with the broken neck for winning that championship?

I don't think it does. I once took a person off a title belt and the entry is still there for them.

You can go into your database and there is an entry for chemistry.

 22. I just got an in-game mail stating that after the last event, my ppv-monthly event had a rise in importance and was now rated an above average event. What the heck does that mean in real terms?
 23. What are the practical differences between the aims Work a Crowd, and Lift a Crowd? I keep getting notes saying I placed them in the wrong spot on the card.

Isn't the whole point of that one is you get a wider audience? That wouldn't matter if there's no popularity growth for the company for B shows. If Free-to-Air helped with popularity at all even with 'B' shows. I get what Matt_Black is saying, there won't be much demand in our reality. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

So if 'B' shows best avenue is making money, wouldn't like Subscription be the best broadcaster for them?
