1. I believe this is gaming the system a bit. HOWEVER, the diaries I'm running the storylines in my head are there, and sometimes it calls for people to dip in and out very briefly and how TEW is set up doesn't really work that well for that. So although this I feel is gaming the system a bit, for the purposes of the diary I'm writing I'm sold on the idea because if I'm jumping through hoops then why not find the easiest way to do that to get the storyline heat need. One question is what happens over long periods of time, does the storyline naturally lose some heat? Do you just end it and start again with the same people, or just spend your time chopping and changing who is in each group. Lastly, and I do a youtube diary so know what its like, and I mean this as feedback from someone who just sat through the 28 minutes. Theres a really neat idea here with storylines but I think the video could have been alot shorter. I'm not a pro by any means, but a video like this with a message and purpose just try to stick to that. The last 13 minutes looking at your WWE game felt like just watching you trying to remember when Dolph Ziggler was last champ. I was expecting more on the storyline idea but never came. Again just my opinion, do your thing mate howevery you feel comfortable and I'll be tuning in for sure.
2. Doesn't it feel its a bit like gaming the system though? Although I do sometimes add my commentators to a storyline so it links things together a bit. But even then that feels a bit like I'm cheating. Also is the penalty for someone wrestling someone outside of their storyline particularly huge? The video is an interest watch though.
3. OOC - So this has been a bit of a side project of mine. Will be done with written results and youtube videos as well. Hopefully I can do the CVerse some justice!
4. What an odd question, but I have an event where it’s based around cage matches. Issue I’ve got is a storyline running I can’t have either of my top stars lose. Any suggestions on how I can have a cage match end as a draw!?
5. Thanks for the feedback. I might actually give it a go and see how it works out. Being from England I want to tackle a 21CW diary, but feel with the Cornell's there it'll be like trying to do justice to the biggest star EVER!
6. No tid-bit. But I've dabbled in the C-Verse and wanted to start a diary of a save, but I worry I'll be so clueless on the history of it that I'd be laughed at by the die hard c-verse fans!
7. If he can make a career on doing it then why can't I. Plus it makes it interesting when I'm in the shower and wondering how could Dirty Dancing translate into a wrestling angle!
8. Really like this idea and may just steal it! I always try and take storyline ideas from films. I normally take a random film and try and see how its plot would work on a wrestling show.
9. Isn't this basically in place to essentially stop us pushing whoever we want to the moon and succeeding? I just see it as a different way of throwing a spanner in the works and stop the game from being too easy.
10. If you went to a B show or house show you'd be pretty unimpressed to see two guys facing each other you consider unimportant.
11. I really enjoy this diary. Fun fact I started my own 91 WWF dynasty on here just before this back on TEW 16, but yours was WAY better than mine so hats off to you!
12. I agree with this. I'm winning some TV battles by having 2 road agents who are very popular. Which seems kind of crazy as if you were watching the show on TV, or even in person you wouldn't actually know how the road agents are.
13. I had Fire Pro Wrestling and so badly wanted to love it, but I just could not get into it at all. I was gutted.
14. On the indies a superkick is as common place as a headlock now a days!
15. I appreciate the response and think what you wrote is great. The more I play TEW the more I realise I'm like Vince McMahon. My booking is I'll ram who I like down your throat till you marks agree with me. And with a dynasty writing I'm like Vince and don't really care too much what happens in the ring, thats like a minor side in the world of wrestling for me!
16. Ha I wish I could take as much pleasure in writing the matches as you do. It would make writing a dynasty that bit easier!
17. In my dynasty I wrote doing long match descriptions burnt me out quickly. For undercard matches I kept it to bare bones. For main event or matches that had a level of importance to them I wrote a bit more. And ppv was a decent write up for each match. But I found the process of writing a match quite a tricky one. In the end I used to find matches in real life that represented what I wanted and would find websites that had written them up and would take large chunks of that. Personally I don’t take a lot of pleasure in writing of matches and also find it hard to do. It became a lot of “then wrestler A done and a head lock and wrestler B reversed it.” I found it hard to be that creative.
18. What a fantastic write up. This will help so many people.
19. But something like tough enough which was mentioned would have an element of wrestling in it so could include a match. I’m not sure but a reality show like total divas has any place in a wrestling game.
20. you could create that by making a B show and signing a bunch of talent to use for it. Then the B show can be made up large of segments you'd see in the show. Obviously you wouldn't ding your own pop and have that as a side project. Not my cup of tea, but doable.
21. My top storyline and feud is FIRE. I put so much effort in. I'll have twists and turns planned. Its ace. Below that nothing! I struggle to get as much going on below my main feud. I then what have anyone built up to slot into a main event feud once my ace story line is over.

You could get more from your life by reading, or most importantly, since you're interested in writing, learning how to write. This is much more impactful on your life, has so many resources in how to get into it and grow as an artist, and you'll be able to get feedback and love from people if you share your work.

The second suggestion is that you write a diary but learn about storytelling, screen writing, story arcs, acting, dialogue creation, and whatnot, in the meantime. Basically you leverage writing fan fiction into learning about a craft.

Why learn about screen writing and dialogue creation when you could learn to act and become a Hollywood star. Your argument what is worthwhile doing as hobby could be spun for anything.

For me I used to enjoy creative writing and found writing a dynasty was a great outlet for that and motivated me to play the game a bit more.

Personally i don't think writing wrestling fan fiction about a computer game isn't really worthwhile either. However it is something I've enjoyed doing. Sometimes hobbies don't need to achieve anything other than making us happy.

23. I wrote a dynasty in TEW 2016 and loved it. It gave me amazing motivation to stick with a game. I tried to keep to a schedule. So I would book a few weeks of shows and go back and writ the shows up. Once I got a format and layout writing the shows out I really enjoyed it. It was a 92WWF game and the week I started someone else started one at the same time which seemed to get alot more interaction than mine. So after a while lost a bit of interest. But did motivate me for a while.
24. In an old job I had a manager who didn’t like me. It came to feedback time of year and she sat me down and basically completely run me down. Seemed to hate everything about me. My line manager asked if there was any positive points and she said I smiled a bit. That’s pretty much how this post has been isn’t it!
