Those heel tactics are old news to Naitch though and after hitting a double poke to the eye, he Flair Flops into a tag to V1 who comes in on fire. Hardy's attack is relentless and he even manages to stay on top of the more powerful CorVon hitting the Twist of Fate to put him down. He is about to go for the cover when Carlito nails him with the title belt and CorVon rolls him up in a schoolboy with a handful of tights for the victory! The lack of cooperation between Kennedy and Edge doesn't help either as the well oiled teamwork of the Hooligans hints at a big upset to close the show. It isn't to be though as Edge removes the turnbuckle cover before Kennedy whips kendrick into the exposed metal. The King of the Ring then draws London into the ring to distract the referee as Edge rams Kendrick's head off the metal repeatedly. Kennedy hoists Kendrick up and nails the Green Bay Plunge before making the cover. London tries to save but is met with a thunderous Spear by the Rated R Superstar. [I]Edge and King Kennedy def. The Hooligans by pinfall in 14:54 (Edge looked good)[/I] [B]RATING = B-[/B][/CENTER] The heels aren't satisfied with the win and start slapping their defeated oppponents around as the crowd boo. They are soon needlessly putting the boots to the fallen London and Kendrick as Michael Cole calls for someone to stop the assault. His cries are answered when Jericho and Mysterio charge out from the back and run Edge and Kennedy off. The heels back away wanting nothing of the pair. Rey checks on the Hooligans while Kennedy taunts Jericho about their coming match. Edge eyes them both intently. [B]RATING = B[/B] [B]FINAL RATING = C+[/B] (Hmmm, I'd have liked a stronger rating on the go home show but c'est la vie. Edge and Jericho are doing stellar work and Kennedy's coming along great. Bischoff was late arriving to Monday Night Raw and an opening segment featuring him had to be rewritten. He has been issued with a warning as this was his second late arrival. Jeff Hardy showed up almsot half way through the Raw House Show in Chatanooga. Hardy's lateness has been a recurring issue and he has previously been suspended for one week for his behaviour. It is understood that his latest infraction has earned him a one month suspension and the cancellation of a planned push for the Autumn. It is hoped that he will be shocked into improving his behaviour as management still feel there is potential in him. - Contract negotiations are underway with ECW star Bobby Lashley. WWE are keen to lock Lashley into a new contract as soon as possible and see him as a potential cornerstone for years to come. Negotiations are also underway with WWE road agent Ron Simmons. It was looking like Simmons' contract was being left to run its course and expire but negotiations began at the last minute. No word yet as to why management had such a sudden change of heart.
