They have all recently gathered to discuss the disappearance of WCW Owner and Turner Broadcasting Founder Ted Turner. The silence grows uncomfortable between all these men who generally know what to say.] Ole Anderson: "Gentlemen, today we face a crisis. We head into the new year of 1991 without a leader, without an owner. As Head Booker, I am using my right to steer the ship in the right direction. The Black Scorpion idea..." Ric Flair: "The Black Scorpion idea wasn't thought through enough and you know it, Ole. I only came through for you at the last minute because you didn't have anyone else willing to play the role. Now, I've been thinking through a few ideas and..." Jody Hamilton: "And the Horsemen need to put you back on top. We know. We all know here that the only reason you agreed to play the role of the Black Scorpion was to get a future WCW Title shot, Ric. If you ask me..." Stan Hansen: "Nobody asked you, Jody. Did you ever main event? Sure you were a good undercard guy and the business needs those guys but Ric, Ole and I all bring some experience to the table.
Oh my, Oh my... Angel and tizzyt... this could be very very very good :D Please tell me Angel that your TNA diary isn't dead
Don't worry. I still have a lot of plans for my TNA diary. Sometimes it's easy to get burnt out on the one diary though so I am hoping that this will keep both fresh within my mind.

Linda : I don’t think he’s having an affair Gino, but if you saw the look on his face when he came home, you’d be wondering the same things that I am. Chief : I don’t think Gino was suggesting an affair, but with all of the things that have happened the past few months, the feds are looking at him for everyone that’s been on the juice Linda : I don’t think he’s going to close down or sell out either, Chief and if he was, I’m sure that he’d have discussed something like that with me first. [As the conversation continues, Vince walks into the board room wearing his ZUBAZ pants and a ZUBAZ shirt, wiping sweat off of his chest and face, obviously coming off of a big work out] Vince : I’m sorry to keep you all waiting, I had to try to clear my mind. Lanza : So what’s going on Vince? We all spent the last couple of days trying to find you, should we start looking for a job somewhere? Vince : This is going to sound crazy, Jack, but I want you all to hear me out before I explain my whereabouts the last couple of days, agreed? [Everyone nods their head, Gorilla sits up, taking his glasses off and rest his chin on his hand] Vince : The other night I had a dream, well, a nightmare, if you will, it started off nice enough, I was greeted by a woman wearing a crown, we held a small conversation that I couldn’t tell you what the details were, but as we talked, her features slowly wilted until she was old and haggard, which caused me to turn away, right into a seemingly bottomless pit, as I was falling, I wondered to myself if this could be the end, as I touched bottom, my feet running, I suddenly kept looking over my shoulder and seeing this figure coming after me, as I raced through this incredibly thick forest, I came out to a clearing and in that clearing, I saw my father standing, looking at me, his smile slowly faded from his face and he shook his head in a disgusting shake and turned his back to me, every time I tried to call out for him, he wouldn’t turn towards me, as I walked up to where he was and tried to turn him around to face me, I woke up, in a heavily saturated bed, sweat pouring out of me, at first I thought that I was coming down with something, then as I thought more and more about the dream, it made me realize some things, after that, I dressed myself, got into my car and drove to the airport, everyone in the house was dead asleep, I didn’t want to disturb anyone, when I got to the airport, I wasn’t sure what my destination would have been, but I knew that it was going to be one of four places. [Vince stands still, a shaken look on his face after he described the dream, everyone looks around, then the first one to pipe up was Linda] Linda : How did your Father look, Vince? [Vince’ concern turns into almost a look of relief] Vince : He looked better than I’d ever seen him, Linda, his smile was that of a proud, beaming father, but like I said, it slowly faded from his face, until he could only shake his head in disgust and turn his back on me….. As everyone knows, I have been a big supporter of the National Wrestling Alliance and World Championship Wrestling. Professional wrestling helped put Turner Broadcasting on the map so I've decided to give it the due attention that it deserves. Ole, things have not been looking good here in WCW for awhile now and I believe that one of the reasons is because the stories have not kept up with the times. It's nearly 1991 and a change is upon us. For this reason, I have held some open tryouts in secret for the position of head booker of WCW. I have listened to many men and I have made my decision. Eric, you've got the job. Gentlemen, say hello to your new boss: Eric Bischoff..." [Everyone in the room is in disbelief, looking at the unknown man who is now known as Eric Bischoff! Gorilla : What does this all mean Vince? I'm a little bit confused Vince : Well Gino, I was wondering the same thing and when I went to the airport, I took a plane to Michigan where I had heard that there was someone very well informed on the definition of dreams and discussed these things with this person Gorilla : You went to a psychic? Vince : No, not a psychic, a dreams expert and she told me that the appearance of the crown wearing female was a representation of personal growth as well as it could have been my mother, but as she turned haggard, it was a sign of problems to come in the future, the falling was a symbol apparently of being overwhelmed and the chasing was apparently some sign of anger or fear even Pat : But what about your father, Vince? Vince : She says that he was exactly what he was, a proud father, who had his smile leave his face slowly, which could represent now or over a long period of time, he refuses to turn and face me again because of an overwhelming shame of some reason. Leroy : Vince, I hate to sound pessimistic, but it seems to me like you’ve lost your damned mind, honestly. Vince : I would expect an answer like that, Leroy, thank you, but to tell you all, Michigan was not the only place that I visited in my trip, I hopped a plane from Michigan and went straight to Atlanta, where I sat down yesterday all day with a pretty powerful player in the cable industry Gorilla : Vince, what were you doing with Ted Turner? You guys hate each other! Vince : Well Gino, yesterday we buried the hatchet, we talked about the past and my laughing at his offer to buy the WWF from me, then we discussed the future and I’m going to give you all an opening right now, if after I explain this to you, you feel the need to leave the company, I won’t hold you back. [Vince waits as he looks around the room at everyone, then continues] Vince : Ted Turner, who is merely a mark, and I have decided that rather than working against each other, against the NWA, who we both have severed ties with, we’d rather work TOGETHER, now, this doesn’t mean that WWF programming will be showing up on any of his stations any time soon, however, rather than having two warring companies, fighting and scratching at each other on all levels, why not work together and show the world that there can be two top dogs Gorilla : Do you really think that you can trust Turner though, Vince? Vince : Ted himself admitted that he knows nothing about running a wrestling company, which is why World Championship Wrestling has been run by a booking committee, as far as his orders go, he has moved a young executive that came over from Verne Gagne in charge of the company, a young man by the name of Eric Bischoff, who I also had the pleasure of meeting yesterday, after we talked, it’s been agreed that there may be some kind of story to work here for both shows as we get rolling with 1991, howe- [Leroy McGuirk stands extremely upset and slams his hand on the table] Leroy : McMahon! Vince : I appreciate that Gino, you all have a place in this company for as long as I have something to say about it, as far as the talent goes, neither the WWF talent, nor the WCW talent will known anything about this until we begin the execution of whatever works out with WCW, I’d rather not have any rumors going around. Gorilla : Well, what about the roster, Vince? What kind of changes are going to be made? Vince : Gino, I can guarantee you, some things that I plan on doing, no one has ever thought to do before, there are about six guys who are really growing stale and it’s time to shake things up in 1991, I can tell you that much. CNN Center, WCW Corporate Office [Back within the CNN Center, Ted Turner had just made the announcement via video tape that Eric Bischoff is the new Head Booker of World Championship Wrestling! The WCW Booking Committee is shocked to say the least. But Ted continues...] Ted Turner "Eric will be in charge of running everything within WCW but he will ultimately answer to me. If the money situation does not improve within WCW or if he brings WCW down then he will be removed from his office. I am looking for World Championship Wrestling to make money for the first time in it's existence and I think we can do that if we all work together. There is a second announcement that needs to be made but I will let Eric handle that. I'll see you all at the matches." [The videotape ended and everyone just looked at each other in silence for a moment before Stan Hansen spoke up.] Stan Hansen "I know you're my boss now, kid, but this is a pile of horse ****. I don't know why in the world you would be allowed to become the Head Booker of WCW but this is garbage." [Eric took his place at the head of the table, sitting down and eyeing each man.] Eric Bischoff "If anyone doesn't want to be here then I suggest that they leave because we have real business to conduct. We are on the edge of one of the biggest moves in our industry and if there are people here I can't trust then I can't allow you in on these things." [Eric looked around for a moment and no one was moving.] Ric Flair "I think we're all in agreement here that we don't appreciate a newcomer stepping into that position but if Ted is willing to give you a chance then so are we. Welcome to WCW, kid." [Eric nodded] Eric Bischoff "Alright, gentlemen, let's get down to business. A meeting was held between Ted Turner and a gentleman that all of you may be familiar with: Vince McMahon." [Everyone looked shocked at that.] Ole Anderson "Did Ted kick his ass, Eric? Eric Bischoff "There was no fighting. But this information does not leave this room or you will be canned. They made the decision to let bygones be bygones. The decision has been made that WCW and WWF will be working together for the greater good. All of the details haven't quite been worked out but we're on the edge of a brand new day here in WCW." [Everyone, including Ric Flair, Ole Anderson, Jody Hamilton and Stan Hansen were all shocked at that. They just stared at Eric Bischoff before bursting out into laughter.] Jody Hamilton "You almost had us there, kid! There's no way that Ted Turner will ever work with that man. I know you haven't been around for awhile but Vince tried to put everyone into bankruptcy. He killed off the territories in many ways." Eric Bischoff "I understand that, Jody. But so did Jim Crockett, Jr. in a way. He bought off a lot of the territories to put it toward one territory which eventually became this company we work for. Now, we have a lot of work to do in order to get ready for the new year. This is a brand new day for WCW and for professional wrestling." To Be Continued...
This is sounding awesome guys. Tizzy I know you know how to work a joint diary so I have no doubt this will be great. Plus WCW and WWF co-exsisting? It sends chills down my spine

Outlawjc I am just wondering what the details of this alliance is? THis truely is rewritting history
Glad you guys like what you've read so far... the details of the aslliance will be spelled out before too long I'm hoping that we'll have the backstory done and start posting shows before too long, but you know how I roll, I DEFINITELY don't want to burn out on this one, I want this one to last for a loooong time, I'm sure Angel feels the same way
Good so far guys, I hope this goes somewhere, alot of the retro diaries have died out.
Thanks for the comment! You made a great mod and I hope we can do it justice. I know some of those retro diaries were mine that died out when the mod first came out. But I plan on sticking with this one.
Good so far guys, I hope this goes somewhere, alot of the retro diaries have died out.
Thanks D16! I'm hoping this one lasts awhile myself, my first attempt at a diary back awhile ago with Mad5226 came to a screeching halt thanks to me not purchasing TEW 2008 until much later - but that one was hella fun (even if I did book most things on the fly) Definitely learn from my mistakes with this one. Keep tuned in kids, things are only going to be heating up!
