I think you said Seaman Stains is aka Evan Karagias, so maybe him winning the Chikira titles with Shark Boy will help with his development as well. Outside of his hardcore matches, he was putting on some decent shows for you. Future X contender maybe?

as for AMW, I say let it play out and see where it goes. I think Harris could do well (especially in SE) with a singles run. Down the road, you can have the dramtic reunion (maybe Harris has to save Storm from a beating from Roode if Beer Money splits up).

finances look scary!! losing 4 million so far and not much cushion. But worst case, you have about 6 months of cash left. I'm still trying to figure out all the nuances of the game, so not sure what advice to give you as far as cost-saving ideas. If you have any guaranteed contracts though, I'd use them over the PPA's (since they get paid either way). Hopefully, you'll be able to swap out some of the higher priced mid-card guys for some new blood with a smaller price tag so you can start turning a profit each month. You may need to spend more time in your base of power too until this turns around.

thanks for the updates from other leagues. interesting reading

Yes, Stains is Karagias, so with his standing in other promotions, I do have high hopes for him if I can both keep him and stay open.

Finances are scary yes. Those who do have a downside don't have a big downside, so generally only one appearance per month is enough to counter their downsides. There are six roster members (CM Punk, Disco Fury, James Mitchell, Jerry Jarrett, Jerry Lynn & Samoa Joe) who have their travel expenses paid, so I've request contract negotiations with all six. While Lynn is unlikely to resign as I have already negotiated due to contract expiry in a few days and he wanted too much money and keep his expenses, it's the first attempt with the others. Losing Punk & Joe would be a blow, while losing Jerry Jarrett is certain to annoy Jeff.

Survival might hinge on the new TV deal. If I can get rid of all the regional USA networks and replace it with a mid sized nationwide network, it should boost ratings and therefore both popularity and pay per view buy rates, which should in turn boost sponsorship and merchandise.

Problem is, I'll only have 6 or 7 months to do it...

Impact

Wednesday, week 2, November 2003

Livestock Expo Arena, Jackson, MS.

“NO RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY”

AJ Styles is seen walking into the building, his World Championship belt draped over his left shoulder and he's carrying his bag in his right hand. Seemingly from nowhere, Jeff Jarrett and Ernest Miller burst on the scene, starting laying into him at the side of his car and leaving him lying on the concrete next to it, writhing in pain. Jarrett says "One down, one to go" as they leave the area. C

Christopher Daniels v Delirious

Maybe it's his standard of opponent, maybe it's the fact he's not well known in America yet... but I'm expecting more from Daniels' matches. Christopher Daniels defeated Delirious in 4:44 by pinfall with a Last Rites. E+

Spank Wang have an interview where they discuss Pain Game and their match against Beer Money, with Spanky saying they will spank Storm and Roode. Ooh matron! D-

Alex Shane v Mystery

A pleasingly good match and one I have to admit took me a little by surprise. Mystery's performance particularly stood out. Mystery defeated Alex Shane in 6:05 when Alex Shane was disqualified when Sheik Abdul Bashir ran in and attacked Mystery. C

We see Jeff Jarrett again, this time he is walking down a hallway with British Bulldog and Super Crazy. They come across Potter and with one looks exchanged and no words, Potter goes the same way as AJ at the start of the night, with Crazy kicking him into the wall to end the mugging. Jarrett is cackling as the trio leave, remarking that TNA is his company, not Potter's. D+

Cocky Connection v England's Glory

Jimmy Rave put in a good performance but England's Glory defeat Cocky Connection in 10:51 when Doug Williams defeated Jimmy Rave by pinfall with a Chaos Theory. D-

Midajah stands near the ramp and begins a striptease, only to be interrupted and stopped by Sheik Abdul Bashir, much to the crowd's displeasure before he rants to the crowd saying that this indecency and men like Mystery is why TNA and society are so awful in the present day. D

TNA HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP

CM Punk v Sabu

Again, the Hardcore Championship comes up a little short in quality. It might soon be time to ditch it. CM Punk defeated Sabu in 10:34 by pinfall with a Pepsi Plunge following three chair shots to the head. CM Punk makes defence number 4 of his TNA Hardcore title. D+

'Super' Steve Corino comes out and says he's decided on his match at Pain Game. The two share a brief exchange of words before Corino says "Chain match". D+

Potter comes out to the ring, looking a little groggy. He has some angry words for Super Crazy, saying he'll get his revenge for his part in the attack at Pain Game. More immediately, he's decided that he will even the sides a little for tonight's main event, where he will referee the title match between AJ Styles and Ernest Miller. The crowd roar their approval for the first sign of good fortune for the TNA guys. C

Abyss v Rocky Romero

Romero was persistant in this match, and put up a good fight against the much larger and stronger Abyss. It wasn't enough though as Abyss defeated Rocky Romero in 10:59 by pinfall with The Black Hole. D

Ken Shramrock then appears and says Abyss impressed him enough in that match to be invited into the six man ladder match at Pain Game. Abyss has an evil grin on his face, then Shramrock reveals that he has talked to 'Wildcat' Chris Harris earlier this week... and he is in the match too. C

Caribbean Cool come out and big up themselves as the best TNA Tag Team Champions yet, and the match against England Expects at Pain Game is a formality. Fatal overconfidence..? C

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

AJ Styles v Ernest Miller

The match tended to drift a little due to a slight lack of psychology. Miller's dirty tricks were often utilised to get the match turned in his favour, but in the end he couldn't keep up with AJ's speed and high flying moves. AJ Styles defeated Ernest Miller in 14:51 by pinfall with a Styles Clash and Potter makes a fair count. AJ Styles makes defence number 2 of his NWA TNA World Heavyweight title. C

Jarrett, Bulldog and Williams then run in and the JWO quartet put down another beating on Styles and Potter, and they raise their arms aloft over their fallen foes as the show goes off air. D+

Show rating: C- - Johnny Devine was slightly overused.

Attendance: 2000 (sellout)

TV Ratings: Sunshine Network 0.04, WLMT-TV 0.01, MSG 0.00, NESN 0.00 and WGN 0.01

you are sure using a lot of guys on these cards (24 on the next show!). Until you get the finances in the black for a month, maybe consider cutting back some (or using more lower dollar guys - which you maybe doing). Especially since you are only drawing 2000 fans.

Before you retire the Hardcore title, maybe consider putting it on Wildcat Harris. As over as he seems to be, maybe be can return some luster to the belt.

Hopefully, Jarrett doesn't pull "owner" on you and demand to win his title back! Meanwhile, you need to build up a couple good challenges for AJ so he can gain some momentum off of them during the next couple months.

I am encouraged by the fact that 2 of your TV stations registered a blip in the ratings. What is your popularity in the SE? What are your next 2 best regions - and rating there? It's an uphill battle, but I'm rooting for you to survive and pull this out

Most of my guys earn wages in the three figures, only the top stars (Jarrett, Shramrock, Lynn, Psicosis, Rey, Punk, Joe & Bulldog are in four figures.

I've saved $7000 a month with one fell swoop. I tried to release Jerry Jarrett, but Jeff blocked him, so I've not changed him to a personality rather than a road agent and I won't use him. My two other road agents will cost me half of what Jerry Jarrett was added together!

My pay per views are three hours, so I need a fair few guys for them. Pay per views aren't the problem though, they are turning a profit. I might have to knock Impact down from 90 minutes to 60 from next month.

Popularity has just dropped from C- to D+ in South East, the same as it is in the Mid South. Next on D are Mid Atlantic and Tri State. North West, South West, Puerto Rico & Hawaii are all worst in USA on E+

Impact

Wednesday, week 3, November 2003

Auraria Events Center, Denver, CO.

“JARRETT'S DEFIANCE”

Potter walks out to open the show, and calls out Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett appears, carrying a guitar. Potter informs Jarrett that following his group's actions last week, as leader Potter is suspending him for one week without pay. Jarrett is incensed and tries to get at Potter, only for security to escort him out of the building. C+

Christopher Daniels v Xavier

Daniels again disappoints me. I know he's new to TNA and he's more known in Asia, but things need to improve. He beats Xavier in 7:25 by pinfall with a Last Rites without getting threatened by defeat. E

Spanky is wondering backstage carrying a coffee when he bumps into Robert Roode. Spanky wishes Roode luck for Beer Money's tag team championship match tonight... so he and Jimmy Wang can take the titles from them at Pain Game. Beer Money will need to beat Caribbean Cool first! D+

Speaking of the devils, Carlito and Colt Cabana are then seen in the backstage interview area, saying Roode needs all the luck Spanky can wish, there is no way Beer Money are taking their titles tonight, nor will England Expects at Pain Game. D+

Alex Shane v Seaman Stains

After Shane's good performance last week, he puts in a stinker this week. Seaman Stains defeated Alex Shane in 7:05 by pinfall with a Tidal Wave and looks comfortable throughout. D-

AJ and Potter are talking in Potter's office. Potter says they have important matches tonight. Potter is teaming with Mysterio to face Miller and Super Crazy, while AJ is facing Bulldog. They say they need to watch each other's back tonight, or Jarrett's World Order will stand over them last week, even if Jarrett isn't in the building. AJ agrees. C-

CM Punk walks down to the ring, swirling a large chain around. Punk tells Corino via the camera he can think of many uses for such a large chain, and they all involve inflicting a lot of pain. Punk asks Corino if he's sure he knows what he's let himself in for. C

NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Caribbean Cool v Beer Money

As good as Cabana's performance was in this match, Roode's was bad. A back and forth match, that sadly lacked a bit of spark. Caribbean Cool defeated Beer Money in 13:42 when Colt Cabana defeated 'Cowboy' James Storm by pinfall with a Coolness Personified. Caribbean Cool make defence number 2 of their NWA TNA World Tag Team titles. D

Ken Shramrock walks to the ring, carrying a briefcase, where a ladder is set up in the ring. Shramrock explains that the six way match is simple. A briefcase will be hung above the ring, the winner is the man who climbs the ladder and retrieves the briefcase. The prize is a NWA TNA World Championship match sometime over the next twelve months. Before he leaves, he announces the final two participants... Psicosis... and Sabu. C+

Potter & Rey Mysterio Jr v Ernest Miller & Super Crazy

An intense match, given what is at stake for these four on Sunday. Some solid wrestling from Potter and Miller, and some fast paced action from Mysterio and Crazy. The end came in 15:25 when Ernest Miller defeated Rey Mysterio Jr by pinfall with a Thrust Kick after a distraction from British Bulldog while 'The Ring King' Jeff Jarrett ran in and attack Potter before throwing him from the ring. AJ Styles then ran out to prevent any potential beatdown. C-

A video plays hyping the Pain Game main event - AJ Styles vs. 'The Ring King' Jeff Jarrett and recapping their history. C+

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

AJ Styles v British Bulldog

A good quality match, with Bulldog looking to have AJ beat on four occasions, only for AJ to dig deep and comeback. As he is getting on top after 17:46, Jeff Jarrett runs in and nails AJ over the head with his guitar, causing the disqualification. Potter then runs down carrying a steel chair and makes Bulldog and Jarrett flee the ring before they can beat down AJ any more. AJ Styles makes defence number 3 of his NWA TNA World Heavyweight title. C

Show rating: C-

my predictions:

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

AJ Styles v 'The Ring King' Jeff Jarrett (C heat)

BIg win for AJ if he is move up in momentum!

NWA TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Caribbean Cool v England's Glory (British Bulldog & Doug Williams) (D)

The British team brings some gold to the JWO. Maybe it adds some momentum to Davey so he can pass that on to AJ since they had a good match last time out. Ditto for Doug - Styles could defend against both tag champs while you build up some other challengers.

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

Rey Mysterio Jr v Ernest Miller (D+)

Miller is a dud. Bring on Sabu and Stains

TNA HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP

Chain Match

CM Punk v 'Super' Steve Corino (D)

Punk tried to add some prestige to the belt with a nice little run. Corino should be a good challenge, but comes up short this time around. Love to see Wildcat win this one next month.

LADDER MATCH FOR A FUTURE NWA TNA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Ken Shramrock v The Sandman v Abyss v 'Wildcat' Chris Harris v Sabu v Psicosis (D-)

Former champ would seem to the best choice right now to pass some rub to AJ and boost his momentum. Several good feuds could develop out of this one. Could almost mix and match them and come up with fun matches (Sabu vs Psicosis? Wildcat vs Sandman? Sandman vs Abyss? Abyss vs Harris?) Abyss gave AJ some real life battles - if he moves up the rankings with wins over Sandman and Sabu, he could help Styles reach his B goal - but think he may need a few more wins before he's ready to challenge the world champ.

Potter v Super Crazy (D)

Potter is the hero

Beer Money v Spank Wang (D-)

Beer Money is the new team on the block, but with the British team winning the belts, they will need a face challenger in the wings.

Mystery v Sheik Abdul Bashir (E)

probably not, but thinking he has a chance to improve and stir things up (ala the Iron Sheik, his former manager)

Christopher Daniels v Seaman Stains (E-)

Fallen angel gets the win, and could also be on the road to face Styles in a month or so if he moves up the rankings. Seaman looks strong in the match, so he can make a play for a title soon.

Revolution v Briscoe Brothers (F+)

toss-up. so I'll go with a draw to give both some attention and set up a rematch for the next week.

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

AJ Styles v 'The Ring King' Jeff Jarrett (C heat)

With the goal to keep Style's momentum high I doubt he'll lose the belt.

NWA TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Caribbean Cool v England's Glory (British Bulldog & Doug Williams) (D)

Keep the titles on Caribbean Cool before an eventual split.

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

Rey Mysterio Jr v Ernest Miller (D+)

Ernest Miller has nothing on Rey, an easy title defence here.

TNA HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP

Chain Match

CM Punk v 'Super' Steve Corino (D) Keep title on Punk for a while

LADDER MATCH FOR A FUTURE NWA TNA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Ken Shramrock v The Sandman v Abyss v 'Wildcat' Chris Harris v Sabu v Psicosis (D-) Abyss has the brightest future out of all of the six.

Potter v Super Crazy (D)

As much as I'm sure your user character will win this, I'd rather Super Crazy get the victory, as he is a better wrestler.

Beer Money v Spank Wang (D-)

Spank Wang are two good wrestlers in their own right but as a tag team I feel Beer Money are the better unit with the better future.

Mystery v Sheik Abdul Bashir (E)

Whoever this mystery worker is I'm confident he'll get the hard-fought victory over Bashir. Bashir does have a future with the company though.

Christopher Daniels v Seaman Stains (E-)

I saw that you weren't all too confident with Daniels' performances thus far, but things will improve and he is alot better than Seaman Stains.

Revolution v Briscoe Brothers (F+)

I'll be honest in admitting that I can't remember what two wrestlers you have together teaming as Revolution, but the Briscoes are class anyway.

Destiny just about has his predictions in before I'm about to post the card. :)

My user character has a background of being the top worker in Europe who went over to America only for a serious knee injury to set him back, which limits him to occasional matches now, or risk injuring the knee again.

Mystery is the mystery worker's name... but who he actually is... he wears all black and a black hood, and has long black hair, and for some reason can sweet talk any lady he wants.

Revolution are Frankie Kazarian and Nova.

Pain Game 2003

Sunday, week 3, November 2003

River Center Arena, Baton Rouge, LA.

A short video opens Pain Game, with a voiceover, talking briefly about AJ Styles and Jeff Jarrett, as well as Ken Shramrock's innovative six man ladder match for a future World Championship match. C+

Briscoe Brothers v Revolution

Our opening matches sees the young Briscoes face off against the fairly new team of Kazarian and Nova. While hardly a clinic, it is an adequate opening with both teams showing good bits of team work. Revolution get the edge and in 8:08 Frankie Kazarian beats Mark Briscoe by pinfall with a Wave Of The Future. D

The camera focuses on the broadcast table. Next to Don West, Mike Tenay hypes a AJ Styles, calling him a sensation and the best pound for pound wrestler in the business today. C

Christopher Daniels v Seaman Stains

Daniels comes out in preacher regalia, and as he walks down to the ring he proclaims himself The Preacher of TNA, and he will enlighten everybody in TNA. He puts on a better match at Pain Game, helped by the higher calibre of opponent he is facing. The match is back and forth, with both men getting a few near pin falls and the end comes in 10:07 when Daniels wins by pinfall with a Last Rites. D

'The Ring King' Jeff Jarrett is backstage by a large Pain Game poster, where he says AJ is not going to get lucky two pay per views in a row, and the title is coming back to it's rightful owner. C+

Mystery v Sheik Abdul Bashir

A good quality match with both wrestlers putting in a good performance and showcasing their wares well. Bashir earns a cheap win in 10:59 when he rolls up Mystery and pulls on the second rope with both arms, the referee failing to spot this. Mystery may well look irate in the ring... but nobody can tell. C+

The trio of Melina Perez, Midajah, and SoCal Val dance during a break in the action, but the crowd are seemingly made up of women, children and homosexuals as they get booed out of the ring. E

Beer Money v Spank Wang

Another good quality match. Both teams have been together for a few months now and are beginning to show signs of gelling together. The end is a little odd... Roode hits a belly to back bridge suplex on Spanky near to Yang. Yang does not enter to make the save though and the referee counts to three. Both Storm and Yang come into the ring to celebrate while Roode and Spanky look a little confused. The referee informs the ring announcer that both men's shoulders were down on the mat and he therefore rules this match a draw. C-

(Writer's note - in the road agent notes I put this down to be a draw with a pinfall finish, as there is no option for a double pinfall finish. However, the game 'overruled' this and showed up in the segment description as a double disqualification)

Potter is seen in his office. He address Jeff Jarrett and his World Order, warning Jarrett that he will be watching his match with close interest, and that if any member of Jarrett's World Order interferes in the match, he will throw the result out and AJ will remain the champion. If Jarrett wins fair and square then he will deserve to be a three time champion.

Potter then addresses Super Crazy, saying he must be Crazy if he thinks he can beat Potter. C-

TNA HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP

Chain Match

CM Punk v 'Super' Steve Corino

These two show that it is possible for TNA to have a good quality match for the Hardcore Championship. Needless to say the chain comes into use countless times, and both men are busted wide open after a few minutes. The end comes in 15:55 when Corino wraps the chain around Punk's head and DDTs him before getting the pinfall with an Old School Expulsion. 'Super' Steve Corino wins the TNA Hardcore title. C

Potter is backstage, psyching up AJ Styles for his upcoming match, telling him it's man versus man, and he needs to show Jarrett he is the better man, before leaving to make his way to the ring. C-

Potter v Super Crazy

Potter has most of the match, as his technical ability keeps Crazy grounded for the most part. Potter defeated Super Crazy in 9:14 by submission with a Sharpshooter. Another good match. C

As the victorious Potter walks towards the back, he acosts Don West at the broadcast table. Potter, short of breath, says that just shows you don't cross the boss! D-

NWA TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Caribbean Cool v England's Glory

The good quality of matches at Pain Game continues with the tag team championship match. England's Glory defeated Caribbean Cool in 13:56 when British Bulldog defeated Colt Cabana by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage, echoing Bashir's win earlier in the night. During the match we also had Sheik Abdul Bashir run in and attack Carlito, leaving Cabana on his own for the final couple of minutes. England's Glory win the NWA TNA World Tag Team titles. C-

Carlito is hugely upset about the turn of events... and takes his frustration out on referee Mark Johnson. The crowd boo the fan favourite. E+

Ladder Match for a future World Championship match

Ken Shramrock v The Sandman v Sabu v Abyss v 'Wildcat' Chris Harris v Psicosis

It's a first in America, and it is received well and is another good match. Psicosis in particular put in an excellent performance. Sandman, Sabu and Abyss were brutal to each other, using anything and everything they could get their hands on with all three bleeding profusely by the end of the match. Harris was on top of the ladder when Psicosis leapt off the top turnbuckle and drop kicked him off. Psicosis then climbed up, only for Shramrock to meet him at the top, work him over with some punches and then put him in a modified ankle lock. Sabu, Abyss and Sandman are battered and bloodied on the arena floor and Harris is very slowly getting up after being dropkicked off the ladder so Shramrock uses the ladder to put Psicosis in another modified ankle lock, leaving him dangling upside down from the ladder and in considerable pain. Shramrock reaches up and grabs the briefcase to win a future title match. C-

As the victorious Ken Shamrock walks towards the back, he is interviewed by Mike Tenay. Shramrock, short of breath, talks about how he will soon be at the top of the world. C-

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

Rey Mysterio Jr v Ernest Miller

It has been good, and consistant tonight. These two show good chemistry, and Miller has the better of the early exchanges. He tires however, which enables Rey to mount a comeback. Rey Mysterio Jr defeated Ernest Miller in 16:45 by pinfall with a Springboard Hurricanrana. Rey Mysterio Jr makes defence number 6 of his TNA X Division title. C

As we wait for the match between AJ Styles and 'The Ring King' Jeff Jarrett to commence, Don West and Tenay run us through the Tale Of The Tape. C-

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

AJ Styles v 'The Ring King' Jeff Jarrett

It's been a good night, and we finish with the best of the night, a very good match between Styles and Jarrett. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary, with AJ's aerial style and Jarrett's cheap shots being utilised very well, with the match having a really good flow to it. The end came in 21:38 when British Bulldog ran to ring side. AJ saw him coming and nailed a springboard plancha. He continued to lay into Bulldog while the ref counted and Jarrett was recovering in a corner following a pelé. The referee counts to ten, and when Jarrett hears he is announced the victor, he starts celebrating with the title. However, it soon dawns on him that he has won by count out and becomes furious, kicking the ring ropes and screaming at everyone within earshot as Pain Game goes off the air. B-

Hmmm... problem.

I've tried to negotiate with four US wide medium sized TV networks for Impact, but Sunshine Network has blocked negotiations, with me being informed now I have advanced to Monday, week 4, November.

Trying to negotiate again... I am told that networks are no longer accepting new negotiations as they are finalising schedules, even though the diary is still saying they are.

All my current networks have only one show left to run on their contract, and they also won't negotiate for the same reason as above.

However, I have a solution.

Do a weekly 60 minute pay per view short term until the new cycle of TV negotiations come round and I can then negotiate fully with a medium sized network. It means stories will stagnate somewhat for a little while, but it might help my cash problem.

Incidentally, Pain Game turned me a $36,000 (approximate) profit, which means I am $3000 in profit so far this month.

do you still have a show on the Sunshine Network? or did it cancel too?

weekly PPV? haha, cool how you've taken TNA to the very concept they started with. Hopefully it draws welll and helps you bring in some extra cash. how long before you get to negotiate with the tv stations again?

nice little twist in the story that only adds to the intrigue - but glad to see your funds in the black going into the last week of the month. If you only ran a couple "longer" matches would you be able to maintain it?

BTW, good PPV card. Looked all the matches performed better than their heat going in. built up a few new stories - like with Sheik Bashir against Caribean Cool.

Impact

Wednesday, week 2, November 2003

Pohl PE Building, Columbus, MS.

“CHRISTMAS CHEER GAVE ME SUNSHINE”

All the current male TNA champions are standing in the ring, along with Caribbean Cool. Everybody at the moment is calm when 'Teenage Kicks' by The Undertones plays and out strides Potter to the ring, resplendant in a suit. He has a mic and makes a number of announcements. Firstly, this is the last Impact for the immediate future as the television deal is running out and Sunshine Network refused to allow negotiations with bigger networks while their deal still existed. So it's thanks for all the Sunshine over the past eighteen or so months, but now it's time to move on. The crowd boo, until Potter says not to fret. A new weekly show lasting two hours will broadcast on pay per view on a Tuesday night and be called Explosion and will be used to build up to the more traditional monthly three hour pay per views.

He then turns his attention to the wrestlers. He first addresses both AJ and Rey. He tells them he wants to give the fans, and one of them some real Christmas Cheer. At the pay per view of that name, both the NWA TNA and the X Division Championships will be defended in a 60 minute iron man match. The crowd goes nuts.

It's then England's Glory's turn to be informed of their Christmas Cheer defence. Potter was impressed by the match between Beer Money and Spank Wang at Pain Game, and the unique ending has led to him name them both as challengers for the NWA TNA Tag Team Championship at Christmas Cheer.

'Super' Steve Corino is then told CM Punk has activated his rematch clause and they will meet for the Hardcore Championship inside a steel cage... however Potter also adds 'Wildcat' Chris Harris into the match.

He finally speaks to Caribbean Cool. He reprimands Carlito for his actions in hitting referee Mark Johnson at Pain Game and as the head of TNA he won't stand for it. He fines Carlito a week pay for his misdemeanour and removes their rematch for the Tag Team Championship as punishment. However, he has some Christmas Cheer for them too... the two will face off in the first ever Ultimate X match to determine the number one contender for the X Division Championship against another tag team in Revolution as well as Sheik Adbul Bashir and Psicosis. C

Cameras immediately cut to the back, where three of Jarrett's World Order - Bulldog, Miller and Jarrett himself are putting the boots in on AJ Styles. Jarrett screams at AJ saying he should be champion. D+

B-Boy v 'The Preacher' Christopher Daniels

Daniels is clearly the better wrestler in this match and shows his arsenal of moves quite well. He is beginning to find his feet in TNA, though he still has further room for improvement. Christopher Daniels defeated B-Boy in 6:43 by pinfall with a Last Rites. D-

Spanky meets 'Cowboy' James Storm backstage. Storm looks like he wants to fight Spanky, but Spanky tells him not to, he has a proposition. Spanky says they both have a shot at tag team glory at Christmas Cheer, but he feels both teams stand a better chance if they work together against England's Glory, given the back up that Jarrett's World Order can give England's Glory. Storm seems to think this might be a good idea. D+

Abyss v Xavier

Abyss dominates and wins in 4:11 by pinfall with The Black Hole. D-

Seaman Stains is in the ring with Melina Perez, Jillian Hall, Midajah and SoCal Val. He leads them through a standard bikini contest - taking turns to wow the audience - before letting the crowd decide who wins. Melina Perez is announced as the winner. Stains nearly stains himself by the end of the segment. D

Mystery & Seaman Stains v Axl Rotten & The Sandman

Stains is clearly still rather excited as the match starts, but a stellar performance from Mystery pulls his team through against the hardcore pairing who seemingly miss the ability to use weapons. Mystery & Stains get the victory in 7:55 when Mystery defeated Axl Rotten by pinfall with a Moonsault Press. D+

Caribbean Cool come down to the ring where Carlito says he feels very hard done by for one mistake which was completely out of character. He asks Potter to reconsider the punishment, while Colt Cabana focuses ahead to the first ever Ultimate X. D+

TNA Hardcore Championship

Street Fight

'Super' Steve Corino v Sabu

Another good Hardcore Championship match, where Corino seems to be an unlikely saviour of the division, first putting on a good match with Punk at Pain Game, now against Sabu tonight. Corino manages to negate Sabu's hardcore offence for most of the match, until Sabu mounts a comeback and pulls off the Arabian Facebuster. Somehow Corino kicks out on the stroke of 3. They then brawl up the ramp, when 'Super' Steve Corino defeated Sabu in 12:50 by pinfall with an Old School Expulsion on the stage. 'Super' Steve Corino makes defence number 1 of his TNA Hardcore title. C-

Backstage, CM Punk walks into 'Wildcat' Chris Harris's locker room. After a short conversation about the cage match at Christmas Cheer, the two workers shake hands, in a sign of mutual respect and wish each other luck for the match. C-

TNA X DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

Rey Mysterio Jr v Sheik Abdul Bashir

The X Division almost always delivers. Rey Mysterio Jr defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir in 8:32 when Sheik Abdul Bashir was disqualified when Ernest Miller ran in and attacked Rey Mysterio Jr. Rey Mysterio Jr makes defence number 7 of his TNA X Division title. Bashir and Miller share words after the match, as Bashir, while not on top, wasn't in trouble either. C-

A video is shown recapping the first six way ladder match for a future World Championship match, and focusing on Ken Shramrock getting the victory. C

NWA TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP

AJ Styles v Psicosis

AJ is clearly hurt following his beating at the hands of Jarrett's World Order earlier and it is Psicosis as a result who is on top for most of the match. Styles is resilient though and sneaks a win in 13:37 by pinfall with a quick roll up. AJ Styles makes defence number 4 of his NWA TNA World Heavyweight title. C
