Well at least I can say things never get dull around here. Apparently I am not the only one who has an issue with Championa crowning himself as the undefeatable champion. Our color commentator Masterrico, who wrestled for a long time with Championa in OLLIE, was openly critical backstage of the boss’s refusal to put anyone else over, even when the title was not at stake. That hasn’t sat well with Championa and I have noticed him being openly negative about Masterrico’s color commentating, which I have not had a problem with so far. While it hasn’t gotten to the point of Championa asking Masterrico to leave MHW, the two definitely are very cold towards each other backstage.

Financially last month was still a success as we brought in another $2K profit, although the merchandise sales for the tournament were fairly weak and we had our lowest audience turnout yet. Next month would be a better indicator of how we are doing as that will be a normal show. There was some major news up in Canada that would probably send waves rippling through the industry over the near future as Dan Stone Sr was finally stepping down and gave the reigns of the company over to his daughter Victoria. On the same day, Dan DaLay became the top champion in Canada when he defeated Jeremy Stone for the NOTBPW Canadian title. I for one would be interested to see where things go from here, and also how Alex will respond now that the players have changed.

Eye on Mexico:

SOTBPW: SOTBPW keeps rolling as the top promotion in Mexico with another stellar show this month, Fondo De La Roca. It was capped off by the main event tag match of Blood Raven & El Fuerza def El Demonio & Axxis Jr that sold out the 5000 seat Plaza La Esperanza in West Central Mexico.

( Show Rating B, Main Event Rating A )

After a long chase Pirato Malvado def Gino Montero for the Campeon de Menor title on the last Lucha Libre show of the month.

Several stars contracts were extended as Gino Montero, Enrique Merino, Gatekeeper, El Diamante Azul, and Reaper Cicero all signed new deals.

MPWF: MPWF held a solid but hardly spectacular show this month in MPWF Finales de Dias. Genio Verde def his title against Huracan Sandoval and the main event was a traditional Lucha 6 man tag where Magnifico, Cinque Jr and Luchador Original def Apprentica Jr, Atlantis Jr and Chess Maniac.

( Show Rating C- , Main Event Rating C- )

Several stars were retained as Daniel Cano, Mario Serrano, El Jefe Militar, Heavy Metal Anarchy, Genio Verde and Atlantis Jr were all signed to extensions.

OLLIE: OLLIE decided to venture into the USA southwest, and despite selling out the 2000 seat Grissom Auditorium, failed to wow the american audience with their Mas Alla de la Mascara show. The Main event saw Slayyer retain his title against Phoenix I again. They got much better response from their tv tapings in Mexico so this was probably a result of the unfamiliarity of the OLLIE Roster to the US fans.

( Show Rating E+ , Main Event Rating E+ )

No titles changed hands this month and Phoenix II, Swarm II, and El Hijo Espada Roja all extended their contracts.

The CGC Watch:

The PPV this month was In the Company of Legends and was a very good show which sold out the 5000 seat Saskatoon Bowl in the Prairies and was Main Evented by Runaway Train def Richard DeColt to retain the world title. Another interesting match was Alex DeColt losing to T-Rex, a result that convinces me even more that Alex was staging my exit from the get go. Buyrate wise it was the most successful PPV of the year for CGC with an 0.88 buyrate. If nothing else Alex can point to that as proof of his success, even though he is riding the back of stars SWF made, and not CGC.

( Show Rating : B Main Event Rating: B+ )

No major names in contract news but Davis Wayne Newton, Destiny, Roger Rogers , Nate Johnson and Ryan Powell were all extended.

Around the rest of the world, the wrestling news for June 2010 was…..

News:

  • Pro Wrestling SAISHO has reached Regional size and while still a feeder promotion for PGHW, are carving out a successful operation on their own.
  • As stated earlier, Victoria Stone has taken over NOTBPW and has stated that she wishes to shape the promotion into something everyone can enjoy. As to what changes that may lead to, we will have to wait and see. As for now, Victoria maintains the book also but may designate someone to assume those responsibilities in the future.
  • AAA saw a shakeup in their organization as longtime booker Catherine Quine has left the company and the book was given to the surprising choice of Eric Tyler. (Well if, like me, you know that Eric has a daughter that wants to break into wrestling, then this decision makes more sense as it allows Eric to be part of his daughter’s wrestling future). Still it will be interesting to see what ‘The Traditionalist’ does with the normally placid AAA promotion.
  • Kamikaze Christian Vars, a young and very small highly athletic daredevil, makes his pro debut. He does have basic skill and pulls off some of the most amazing moves, but has a total disregard for himself and his opponent means someone who is very exciting, but just as likely to break his neck.
  • Young luchador, El Serpiente, enters the professional ranks. Possessing a good combination of basics, charisma , skill and high flying, he looks to have a bright future in Mexican wrestling.
  • Very quietly, Land Mass has retired from wrestling at age 46. He had hung around the independents for the last few years since I let him go upon my arrival in NYCW, but hadn’t caught on with another name promotion. He did have minor success as a large monster heel in SWF and had tag titles in CGC in 1995 and NYCW in 2005, but otherwise had an unremarkable career.

Signings and Leavings:

  • Marshall Dillon has been called up to SWF from RIPW, who replace the roster spot with Bradford Peverall and California Love Machine.
  • Lauren Easter is added to the AAA roster.
  • Burning EXILE has brought his mercenary services to WLW.
  • Brent Hill goes into development with Hinote Dojo, but BHOTWG wastes no time in bringing him up to the main roster.
  • Davis Wayne Newton adds USPW to his bookings.
  • FCW brings in some veterans by signing Matt Sparrow and Andre Jones.
  • Dharma Gregg failed to catch on with AAA and was released.
  • BSC original Vampella has left the promotion
  • 4C sees the departure of longtime wrestler Hardcore Killah.
  • Robbie Retro has officially ended his time in SWF.

Title Changes:

  • Suzanne Brazzle wins the BSC Queen of the Ring title ending the 20 month run of Sister Beth Mercy.
  • James Prudence ends the nearly 3 yr reign of Handsome Stranger to take the FCW People’s Championship.
  • Matthew Keith upsets Billy Russell to win the GCG Openweight title.
  • Toshiharu Hyobanshi captures the GCG World Heavyweight title a 3rd time after beating Kiminobu Kuroki.
  • Dan Dalay surprisingly defeats Jeremy Stone to become the new NOTBPW Canadian Champion.
  • Tamara McFly regains the NOTBPW Women’s title from Stephanie Hazel to begin her 3rd reign.
  • James ‘Mainstream’ Hernandez wins the RIPW Championship.
  • American Buffalo defeats Rocky Golden to take the TCW International title for the 2nd time.
  • Nadia Snow regains the USPW Women’s title for her 4th reign.

OOC: With the NOTBPW booking position now being vacant, i am tempted to see if I could get it as it would provide a nice circle to the backstory of being forced out of CGC only to get revenge by becoming the head booker of their biggest rival. But frankly, booking NOTBPW provides no challenge whatsover as you can let the computer book B+ shows with that stacked roster. So I will continue to see what I can do with MHW.

With the tournament over, we now had crowned champions for all our titles. The first few months had been mostly getting a feel for the product while the audience got a look at our roster . Now it was time to start defining the characters and feuds of the wrestlers. We had the overall storyline of the American Invasion and their battle with the Sons of Mexico, with a midcard tag team feud also brewing. With the expanded non wrestling time, we could now start to build some character behind the people on the roster and hopefully get the audience more invested in them.

The victory by Championa in the four corners flag match last month came at the cost of his fellow countryman Mexican Beast and the Shadow Warriors responded to the brutal attack of the tag champions Purple & Gold with a vicious backstage assault of their own. Added to the surprising tournament victory of The Cannonball Kid , this month’s show looks to have some serious consequences for the future of MHW.

Here is the lineup for the July 2010 show MHW Caos Extrema ( Extreme Chaos )

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/DanielCano.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JavierCano.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/ElBestiaPurpura.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/ElToroDeOro.jpg

The Shadow Warriors vs. Purple & Gold in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the MHW Tag Team Championship

What had started as a normal feud between two teams trying to establish their dominance has escalated over the past few months into an all out war as both teams have now brought outside weapons into the fray. Therefore MHW has decided to have this war brought to a decisive conclusion in the first ever Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match in Mexican hardcore history. The belts will be hung high over the ring, and the ringside area will be filled with tables, chairs and ladders, all of which are legal to use in the match. The winner will be whichever team can climb the ladder and grab the belts.

Mexican Beast vs. Masked Patriot

Mexican Beast fulfills his patriotic duty by taking on the Rudos Americanos own patriot, but having been pinned and covered with a flag by his own ally can’t be sitting well with the prideful Beast. What will be the fallout from that action, and will it affect Beast in this match against the young but rapidly improving Masked Patriot?

Slayyer & Hugo Garrido vs. David Mack and Genio Verde

Having both failed to win the Rey de Torneo Hardcore title, the Sons of Mexico seek to re-establish themselves as they take on their rivals from the Rudos Americanos. But Mack and Verde also seek to prove their stated superiority to Mexican luchadors as another battle in the Mexico vs. America war continues.

Championa Jr vs. The Cannonball Kid in a Lucha Hardcore Match for the MHW Global Championship

With his surprising win last month at the Rey de Torneo Hardcore tournament, the new King of Hardcore, The Cannonball Kid, shoots up to #1 contender status. Championa Jr has managed to triumph against all comers so far since winning the Global title, although his means to do so have raised some eyebrows. Will Championa triumph again or can the surprising Cannonball Kid pull off another major upset and dethrone the Hero of the People to become the new MHW Global Champion?

I want to pick Patriot here, but I'm struggling to believe he is over enough yet, eventually you're going to have to pull the trigger on the american rudo's getting wins though

Held at the Palacio de Lucha , Ciudad Mexico, Att: 766

Pre Show:

Pyromaniac, Jesus Chavez & Nomad def Giant Brody, The Darkness Warrior and Primal Rage by 2 falls to one in 5:40

Match Rating E

Good for what it was, giving the lower card some work and the early arrivers some entertainment before the main show began.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/VerdugoEstupendo_alt.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/SabraMan-1.jpg

Verdugo Estupendo def Sabra Man Jr in 7:55 by two straight falls

Match Rating D-

This match transitions us to the main show and was ok. My original plan was actually to have Verdugo win the hardcore tournament as there were some contract conditions I needed to fulfill, but Swarm III’s refusal to put him over changed those plans. So now I have something else in the works…

Main Show:

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/VerdugoEstupendo_alt.jpg

After his match, Verdugo Estupendo grabs a mike and states that for the past 4 months he has systematically destroyed everyone he has faced in MHW, and if it wasn’t for that outsider Swarm III cheating, he, Verdugo Estupendo would be the King of Hardcore! Verdugo then states that he is challenging any of the title holders in MHW to a match next month and he doesn’t care who it is!

Rating D-

For someone that doesn’t speak a lot, this wasn’t too bad of a promo

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanBeast.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MaskedPatriot.jpg

Mexican Beast def Masked Patriot in 8:55 by two straight falls.

Match Rating D+

This was to rebuild Beast’s momentum after being the main event jobber the last couple months. Although it was an opening match, it was better than expected as Beast and Masked Patriot were able to mesh their wrestling styles quite well.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Mastericco.jpg w/ http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Buttercup.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MercedesGimenez.jpg

Mastericco is in the ring and states that it is Summer time and Mexico is known for two things in the summer, cool drinks and hot women! Mastericco says the concession stands have the cool drinks and he is going to provide the hot women as MHW has it’s first ever USA vs. Mexico bikini contest!!!!

First out is the flame haired Mercedes Giminez, who drops her robe to reveal a stunning two piece bikini in the colors of the Mexican flag. The crowd is suitably appreciative and cheers Mercedes.

Mastericco then announces the USA representative Buttercup! As she comes out in her red white and blue robe, the crowd boos and hisses. But the boos die away as she takes off the robe to reveal an amazingly revealing string Bikini that barely covers her significant assets! Buttercup may represent the enemy, but the male demographic is impressed enough by her demonstration to award her the victory.

Rating D

Well, that went over fairly well. Although you really don’t know what I had to go through to get Buttercup to agree to wear that less than modest outfit. Lets just say it’s a good thing we have been making a profit every month, because Buttercup negotiated a significant performance bonus for this.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/DanielCano.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JavierCano.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/ElBestiaPurpura.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/ElToroDeOro.jpg

The Shadow Warriors def Purple & Gold in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match in 10:07 after Daniel Cano retrieved the tag titles. The Shadow Warriors are the new MHW Tag Champions.

Match Rating E

While it was an okay match, it wasn’t quite the epic event I was hoping for. Neither team really stepped up their game or went beyond the basics of the match to make this a defining event that it could have been.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/GenioVerde.jpg

David Mack & Genio Verde are in the ring and say that last month was just another example of how the worthless Mexican wrestlers have to cheat to win, and that was proven without doubt when Champion , knowing he couldn’t beat an American wrestler cleanly, chose to pin his countryman instead. Mack and Verde state that the american wrestlers, the american people and the american way of life are the best in the world, and they will demonstrate it one more time tonight!

Rating D+

This is a good sign that our new format is meeting with positive results as the non interview segments are drawing a much more favorable response, whether it is cheering the heroes, or booing the bad guys.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/GenioVerde.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Slayyer.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HugoGarrido.jpg

David Mack & Genio Verde def Slayyer & Hugo Garrido in 12:31 by two straight falls

Match Rating D+

The Rudos Americanos get a big win over the Sons of Mexico here in a very good match as Mack and Verde control the action and get a convincing victory over Slayyer & Garrido.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TheCannonballKid-1.jpg

Cannonball Kid claims that he is the King of Hardcore, and will soon be the MHW Global Champion! He goes on to say that soon these pathetic people will have to call their hero Ex-Championa Jr as The Cannonball Kid is on a roll and he will make Championa bow down to the King!

Rating D+

If nothing else, the years in SWF taught Pratt how to work a crowd.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Championa-1.jpg

Championa Jr responds back about how he represents the pride of the Mexican nation and it’s people and how he will never dishonor his country and its heritage by losing the MHW Global title to an arrogant foreign invader!

Rating C-

Best response of the night so far goes to our Global Champion

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Championa-1.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TheCannonballKid-1.jpg

Championa Jr def The Cannonball Kid in 17:53 by two straight falls. Championa Jr retains the MHW Global Championship

Match Rating D-

While an adequate match, this was rather disappointing as the main event. Granted, no one really thought Championa was going to lose, but this was a big drop in the momentum we had been building over the last couple matches.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Championa-1.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HombreDelaEnerga.jpg

Championa Jr is once again celebrating his victory over a member of the Rudos Americanos, when suddenly a kuchador masked man enters the ring and assaults the champion from behind! The crowd recognizes the intruder as Hombre de la Energia and is stunned as the new arrival continues his assault of the exhausted champion until officials finally enter the ring a drive him out!

Rating D

Overall Show D

If the main event had come off better this would have gone from an adequate show to one of our better ones as for the most part, the new format worked well. The interview and non wrestling segments held their own and we were able to advance and evolve our main storylines. And we did get some excellent news, although like all things, it could be a double edged sword. Despite the show only being average, it was enough to finally push us to the next level and we were now officially recognized as a regional company and on the same footing as MPWF and OLLIE. We had leveled the playing field, but now the other promotions would take us far more seriously and things would only get tougher from here.

The big news was that we had arrived on stage, so to speak, as equals to OLLIE and MPWF as a regional promotion. The good was that we had an increased flow of funds, as Championa had wasted no time in rounding up additional advertisers and sponsorship. We could also potentially add some of those people who I had tried to negotiate with before , but had felt we weren’t competitive enough. That is , if Championa allowed it, as I had noticed a strong tendency of his to veto anyone who might actually challenge his status as the undisputed top star of the company. The bad, now MPWF and OLLIE, who could kind of shrug us off before, would be forced to take serious notice of us now. We did have working agreements in place with both, so things should remain civil, but if we started clearly surpassing them, that situation could drastically change. Either way, from this point on things were going to get really interesting.

Eye on Mexico:

SOTBPW: The largest promotion in Mexico continues to try and raise its presence in the US market as SOTBPW held its monthly major show, Deseo Ardiente, in the V Thompson Arena in SW USA. While not a sellout, it did draw a respectable 7,391 live audience and was a decent overall offering, capped by the 6 man lucha tag main event of Pablo Rodriguez, El Fuerza, and Hijo del Mephisto def El Demonio, Axxis Jr and Vincente Romero.

( Show Rating: C , Main Event Rating: C )

No titles changed hands this month and the contracts of Demon Seed, Eduardo Prieto, Verdugo Estupendo, Hijo Del Mephisto, Pirata Malvado and Blood Raven were extended.

MPWF: MPWF had a very strong main show this month as they sold out the National Arena again for their Festival de Campeones with three titles on the line. The Main event saw Genio Verde successfully defend the Herencia de Mundo title against Huracan Sandoval Jr in what was also the match of the night.

( Show Rating : C+ , Main Event : B- )

MPWF also had no title changes and Spanish Superfly and Chess Maniac had their deals renewed.

OLLIE: OLLIE sold out the 1000 seat Merida Resort in the Southe Eastern part of Mexico with a decent show that saw Slayyer successfully defend his Universal Championship against Luis Montero Jr in the main event.

( Show Rating: C- , Main Event Rating: C- )

Earlier in the month El Hijo Espada Roja had captured the Mexico title from Asesino Del Hacha on one of the weekly Relampago shows.

Swarm III, Phoenix I, Rafael Ruiz, Ignacio Soto, Luis Montero Jr and Lorenzo Blanco all had their contracts extended.

The CGC Watch:

Taking advantage of their growing exposure in the US Market, this months PPV CGC Ultimate Showdown took place at the 10,000 seat Friedman Building in the Mid South area, and a strong show sold out the venue. Main Event saw Runaway Train continue his strong championship run with another defeat of Richard DeColt to retain the CGC World title in an excellent match.

( Show Rating : B-, Main Event Rating: B)

PPV numbers were also strong with a 0.84 buyrate as Alex seems to be making a serious bid to challenge SWF for the #2 spot among US promotions.

No titles changed hands this month, but CGC did release both Jerry Martin and Joss Thompson, neither of whom managed to impress Alex enough despite both having decent entertainment skills.

Young prospect Jared Johnson was added to the roster to fill out the lower end of the card, and he shows potential for the long run. Veteran Zeus Maximillion who is enjoying a solid Canadian title run, is extended.

News:

  • In addition to our rise to regional, long time british promotion MOSC has finally decided to expand out of their niche and also made the jump to a regional promotion.
  • Victoria Stone has finally made her decision about who would be handling the day to day booking duties, and now I know why he was refusing my offers, as Larry Wood was announced as the new Head Booker of NOTBPW. Larry is extremely intelligent and does have a long history with NOTBPW , but still this is a surprising choice and I am interested to see if he goes outside the traditional NOTBPW formula for the future, or stays with the tried and true.
  • Aussie Sheila Lillian O’Donahue makes her debut in the Australian wrestling business , marketing herself as a manager using a secretary gimmick. Evaluations show her as adequate, but not exactly head turning or over the top charismatic, and the depressed wrestling community in Australia makes her potential success chancy at best.
  • Also entering the Australian wrestling scene is Mexican immigrant Armando Guerrero. He has a decent overall skill set, but is hampered, like everyone else, by lack of opportunity in the Australian area.
  • Closer to home, second gen luchador Hypnotiq Jr enters the Mexican wrestling world. Possesses the usual lucha set of aerial skill, flashiness, and daredevil antics, with some solid charisma and basic skills to back them up. While not a solid fit for us, he should do well in the more traditional promotions.
  • The humongous Devastating Don , a 460 lb mountain of bulk, enters the US wrestling scene. It is rumored he earned his nickname from the carnage he left behind in broken booths and chairs in various diners and restaurants that couldn’t handle his enormous fat. His skill set is basically his bulk, as he lacks the stamina to cross the ring more than once or any actual wrestling holds or moves other than falling on people. Still he could find a role somewhere as he does have some charisma.
  • Two old school names finally fade into the sunset as NOTBPW Owner Dan Stone makes his retirement from the business official and former TWL star and SWF road agent Pat Deacon also heads off to enjoy the golden years.
  • Longtime CGC legend Ed Monton, age 49 decides that it is time to leave the active ranks as he was not finding much interest in him following his surprise release from CGC last October,. He and partner Jon Jetson did wrestle several matches on the independent circuit but the veteran decided now was the time to call it quits in the ring.

Signings and Leavings:

  • Newcomer Kamikaze Christian Vars is getting a tryout in 4C as the rookie received a contract as the promotion allows Canadian Crusher to depart.
  • Also bucking the trend, rookie Maurice Jackson is picked up by APW , making him one of the few people in Australia to actually be sought after by the only promotion in the area, who also release DOA.
  • A surprising move by Wanda Fish as she accepts a contract with BSC. Whether this is an attempt by BSC to get more serious with their wrestling, or Wanda grasping at fleeting fame as she enters the twilight of her stellar career remains to be seen. But this should draw some more fan boys to BSC eager to see what Wanda shows skin wise.
  • USPW adds Mainstream Hernandez to the roster.
  • Billy Russel re-enters the US market with MAW.
  • MOSC adds Rolling Johnny Stones, Daniel Black Francis and Adam Matravers to their roster .
  • AAA adds longtime BSC veteran Alison Capone to their roster.
  • Rodger ( I really hate this guy ) Dodger gets a contract offer from CZCW which is good news since USPW lets him go.
  • Cameron Vessey and Gareth Wayne both take permanent roster positions with SAISHO.

Title Changes:

  • Tasuku Shinozuka becomes the inaugural EX2010 Universal Champion.
  • Tadiyukki Kikkawa def Mike Watson to begin his 3rd reign as INSPIRE King of Fighters.
  • The SWF Shooting Star title is officially retired, with Paul Huntingdon becoming a trivia answer as the last champion. SWF has announced a new title to takes its place, the SWF Intercontinental title, which will not be a middleweight only belt. As of now, no champion has been crowned yet.
  • UK Dragon defeats Hell Monkey to win the WLW Universal title for a 2nd time.

With our rise to regional, we received a nice influx of cash from our increased sponsorship, and as such cleared almost $18K in profit. While I am sure that made Championa happy, I knew from experience that we would need to invest that money back into the promotion in order to maintain our position and grow further. Also, even though we were technically on the same footing as OLLIE and MPWF, they did have one major advantage we didn’t, a weekly television show. So , even though I knew it would be costly, and may actually reverse our trend of being profitable each month, I put in a call to the Mexican networks ( well, my translator/secretary did as I still didn’t speak much more than restaurant Spanish ) to see if we could get a show of our own. Also with the majority of our contracts coming due in the next couple of months, it was time to evaluate who was staying and who may be going.

Our next show was being called MHW Grandes Ambiciones ( Grand Ambitions ) and would feature the follow up to the events from Caos Extrema. The website advertised the following line up….

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/DanielCano.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JavierCano.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JesusChavez_alt.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/VerdugoEstupendo_alt.jpg

The Shadow Warriors vs. Jesus Chavez & Verdugo Estupendo for the MHW Tag team titles.

The Shadow Warriors have just come off an emotional victory over their rivals Purple & Gold to finally claim the titles, but had to endure intense pain and suffering to do so. Chavez & Estupendo, while a new teaming, are both rough and tough individuals fully capable of dishing out pain and punishment and this may be a golden opportunity as the Shadow Warriors are battered physically and could also suffer an emotional letdown. Will we see new tag champions for the second month in a row?

It’s another battle in the Mexico vs. America war as the Sons of Mexico Garrido and ally Mexican Beast take on the Rudos Americanos team of David Mack and the ‘King of Hardcore’ Cannonball Kid. Beast defeated the Rudos Masked Patriot last month, while Garrido is burning to get revenge on both Mack and the Cannonball Kid for past defeats. Will the Sons of Mexico be triumphant or will victory go to the Rudos Americanos?

Slayyer vs. Genio Verde for the MHW National Championship in a Lucha Hardcore Match.

Both men share the distinction of being the world champion of their respective rival promotions OLLIE and MPWF, but each is on opposite sides in the faction war in MHW and Slayyer is the one who holds the belt here. In his first official title defense, will Slayyer prove he is the superior champion or will the dangerous and devious Genio Verde strike a blow for the Rudos Americanos?

Championa Jr defends his MHW Global Championship against Hombre de la Energia in a lucha cage match

.

After his victory last month over Cannonball Kid, Championa was brutally attacked by newcomer Hombre de la Energia, who has thrown his hat in with the Rudos Americanos. The American born ‘Power Man’ is also the regular partner of Genio Verde in MPWF and thus is already disposed to the American side of the battle. Championa Jr , seeking revenge for the surprise attack, has agreed to defend his belt against his newest enemy, but has insisted that the match be inside a steel cage so as to prevent any interference from the rest of the Rudos Americanos. Championa has defeated challenger after challenger so far, but will this match see the end of his reign as the Global Champion?

MHW Grandes Ambiciones

Wed week 4 August 2010

Held at the Palacio de Lucha, Ciudad Mexico, Att: 750

Pre Show:

Luchador Generico & Masked Patriot def Asesinos del Hacha & De La Espada in 6:18 by two straight falls

Match Rating D-

With our rise to regional and our impending weekly tv show, I made some roster additions. I had a few of them wrestle in a generic mask and costume as I want to keep their addition a surprise for the fans, but Los Asesinos, a young team from OLLIE, I brought in to add some depth to our tag team scene. This also served to give Masked Patriot a much needed win.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/BoogerMan.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/BoogerMan.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/ElBestiaPurpura.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/ElToroDeOro.jpg

Luchadors Generico def Purple & Gold in 7:45 by two straight falls

Match Rating D

Another pair of generic masked wrestlers, getting a stiff test against the former tag champions and delivering solidly in what was a good match to get the main show started with some momentum. This also allows me to judge if there are any unforeseen problems with these two together, as I only know them by reputation. All in all a very good match, especially for the prelim.

Main Show:

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/DanielCano.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JavierCano.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JesusChavez_alt.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/VerdugoEstupendo_alt.jpg

The Shadow Warriors def Chavez & Verdugo in 8:14 two falls to one. Shadow Warriors defend the MHW Tag team titles.

Match Rating E

Well it’s obvious the tag scene is still a work in progress as the matches so far have been okay, but not show stealers. Hopefully some of the additions and planned changes will help stimulate the division.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Mastericco.jpg w/ http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MercedesGimenez.jpg and http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Buttercup.jpg

Masterrico says that Mercedez Gimenez has challenged Buttercup to a rematch bikini contest to prove that last month’s loss was a fluke. This time Buttercup goes first, and she disrobes to show a standard skimpy bikini in the colors of the American flag. While still very revealing, it isn’t as daring as last months outfit.

Mercedez then comes out and ups the ante by wearing green bikini bottoms, but with the Mexican flag body painted over the top part of her torso ( along with a couple strategically placed pasties ). This is more than enough for the fiery red head to score the win.

Rating D-

Fluff piece obviously, as I had a few minutes to fill. Buttercup did let me know in no uncertain terms that she wasn’t wearing last month’s outfit in public again, and Mercedes also negotiated a sizeable bonus before her unveiling this month. Still , these spots do serve a purpose, and give the females some exposure, besides the obvious one.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HombreDelaEnerga.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/GenioVerde.jpg

Hombre de la Energia meets with David Mack and Genio Verde backstage as Mack & Verde officially welcome Hombre to their group. Hombre de la Energia states that while he couldn’t get a break in America because there are so many good wrestlers there, he had no problem coming down here an becoming a dominant star, and he will prove it tonight against Championa.

Rating D+

While Hombre de la Energia isn’t nearly as charismatic on the mike as myself or Verde, this was still a decent segment both to promote the main event, and continue the faction storyline.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanBeast.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HugoGarrido.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TheCannonballKid-1.jpg

Mexican Beast & Hugo Garrido def David Mack & Cannonball Kid in 9:51 by two straight falls.

Match Rating D-

A decent match, but not as good as I would like. Beast and Garrido get the win here as they have been taking a lot of losses recently, and need to rebuild their credibility. Also this serves as the setup for some other planned events.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanBeast.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/VerdugoEstupendo_alt.jpg

Mexican Beast is celebrating a hard fought victory with the fans as he walks back up the ramp way. Garrido has already vanished into the back, as Beast lingered to chat with some fans railside. Suddenly, Verdugo Estupendo runs out from the entrance way and clotheslines Mexican Beast! Shouting “ It’s not over between us Beast!! It’s only just begun!!” Estupendo continues pounding away at Mexican Beast until officials and wrestlers from backstage finally pull him away.

Rating D-

Revisiting an old feud, with some as yet to be revealed twists.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/GenioVerde.jpg

Genio Verde states he will not only prove that American wrestlers are better than Mexican ones, but that he is a better world champion than Slayyer by taking the National title from him.

Rating C-

Verde has excellent ability to work the crowd.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Slayyer.jpg

Slayyer responds that Mexico is superior to America in everything , including wrestling, and that he, not Verde is the superior champion!

Rating D+

Another decent promo and crowd reaction, as the new product seems to have been fully embraced by the fans.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Slayyer.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/GenioVerde.jpg

Genio Verde def Slayyer in 13:06 by two straight falls. Genio Verde wins the MHW National title.

Match Rating D-

Thanks to the interference of David Mack & Cannonball Kid, Genio Verde robs Slayyer of the National title, and the Rudos Americanos steal one from the Sons of Mexico. Too bad the match wasn’t quite up to the level of the promos beforehand. With this victory, I fulfill the title promise I made Verde when I signed him, and give the Rudos a title also, to kind of even things up with the Sons of Mexico.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HombreDelaEnerga.jpg

Hombre de La Energia taunts the Global title holder Championa Jr by saying last month’s attack was just a drop in the bucket compared to the beating he is going to deliver tonight. Hombre states there is nothing he enjoys better than kicking the butt of these inferior Mexican luchadors and that he will take great pleasure in destroying the so called ‘champion of the people’ and taking the Global Championship.

Rating D-

Hombre’s promo skills are okay, but as stated earlier, don’t stack up to either mine or Verde’s so he doesn’t get as strong of a crowd response.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Championa-1.jpg

Championa proudly proclaims he will triumph once again against the evil Americans and get revenge for the savage sneak attack of the Rudos Americanos and Hombre de la Energia. He states that as long as the hearts and prayers of the Mexican people are behind him, he can never be defeated and he will never fail them!

Rating C-

Championa gets the biggest pop of the night, and remains the undisputed biggest attraction so far.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Championa-1.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HombreDelaEnerga.jpg

Championa Jr def Hombre de la Energia in 15:53 by two straight falls. Championa makes his 3rd defense of the MHW Global title.

Match Rating D-

Not a very good match main event wise as Championa was not at his best, and Hombre was still rusty from being on the shelf for several months. I had actually signed him at the same time as Verde , but he had been injured and was still recovering, thus his debut got delayed.

Overall Show D-

Not one of our better efforts as the matches failed to deliver throughout the night, especially the Main event. Not exactly the springboard I was hoping for, but hopefully the new things I have planned will vault us back up. Things would be changing even further now, as we had gotten the ok on the weekly television show and we begin production next month. We are on equal terms with OLLIE and MPWF, now we need to show we are as good or better so we don’t slide back.

Despite a strictly average show, we had still brought in almost $15K profit and were thus in a good financial position to take some risks. While September was going to be a make or break month for us for a variety of reasons, it was time to take a look at what the competition had done over the last month.

Eye on Mexico:

SOTBPW: The big show Sitio Derecho Solamente sold out the 5000 seat Parque la Junta in Northern Mexico and delivered a good show, main evented by El Fuerza defeating Tijuana Vampire.

( Show Rating: C+ Main Event Rating: C+ )

No titles changed hands this month and the contracts of Mateo Hidalgo, Hysteria, Rebelde Loco, Gonzalo Rubio, Reaper Dante and Mexican Ghoul were all extended. SOTBPW further bolstered their roster by adding OLLIE legend Marcos Flores, who had been inactive for several months after leaving his former promotion.

MPWF: MPWF went head to head with SOTBPW this month as they also had their main show at the Parque la Junta. MPWF Tierra also sold out the 5000 seat arena and delivered a similar quality show with an arguably better main event that saw Genio Verde successfully defend his title against El Leon.

(Show Rating : C+ Main Event Rating: B- )

During one of the weekly shows, Cique Jr ended the year long reign of Angel de Mexico to capture the MPWF Lucha title.

This followed his contract being extended, along with the contracts of Javier Cano and Hombre de La Energia.

OLLIE: Also being held in Northern Mexico this month, OLLIE’s Ruleta de la Muerte sold out the 1000 seat Palacio de Lucha, but came off a clear third to the other two promotions in terms of quality and main event, which saw Slayyer once again defeat Phoenix I, this time in a career match, to retain the Universal title. Afterwards, legendary star Phoenix I announced he would uphold the stipulation and retire from professional wrestling as an active competitor.

(Show Rating : D+ Main Event Rating: D+ )

No titles changed hands this month and Manuel Prieto’s contract was extended. OLLIE has decided to give rookie El Serpiente a tryout and signed him to a contract.

The CGC Watch:

As much as I hate to admit it, especially after Alex dismantled the roster I created to make one in his own image, CGC is still chugging along doing better and better each month. My only real consolation is he still hasn’t been able to claim going national yet, although he has taken my idea of building our audience in America and running with it. August’s show , The Battle Beyond, was held in the Laurent Ballroom in New England, and sold out the 5000 seat arena with another excellent show, main evented by yet another classic confrontation between Runaway Train & Steve Flash, as Train retained his title once again.

( Show Rating : B Main Event Rating: A PPV Buyrate 0.85 )

Hollywood Bret Starr, Francis Long, Darryl Devine, and Steve Frehley all extended their contracts.

News:

  • PGHW dojo graduate Mashashi Urogataya makes his debut at age 22 in Japan. While lacking that star quality and charisma that could make him a big star, his unquestioned ring skill and ability makes him the perfect person to make others look like big stars, so he will likely have a long, solid career.
  • Buzz Reid, a 24 yr old brawler has entered the pro ranks, He has the prefect look and menace to fit the enforcer/ bodyguard roll, but has no real ring skills outside of basic brawling.
  • 22 Remmy Honeyman, a solid ring performer who sadly lacks in charisma or star presence. Someone who will probably not lack for work, but that work will consist of putting over others.
  • Pirata Malvado, a member of the La Alianza Del Terror stable and SOTBPW Campeon de Menor champion, broke his ankle in a match during the middle of August and will miss around 3 months of action, forcing him to vacate the title he had held for a year.
  • 37 yr old Suzue Katayama, a veteran of both 5SSW and AAA retired this month. She had been a perennial contender for the AAA Femme Fatale title, which she captured once.
  • Honoring the stipulations of his title match, 42 yr old Phoenix I , who pioneered the franchise character, retires this month. He leaves having been an OLLIE Universal Champion once and trios Champion a fitting 3 times.
  • Grizzled veteran Lee Wright, who found a lot of success overseas in Japan, called it quits at age 52. Best known for his tag team in PGHW with Raymond Diaz, they captured the PGHW Elite tag series tournament 3 times, and held the Glory Tag titles 5 times.

Signings and Leavings:

  • NOTBPW bids farewell to Gregg Boone and Derek Frost, who failed to break out of the lower card over the years.
  • ROF loses Petey Barnes and Jonni Lowlife and bring in Kevin Jones.
  • EWA loses the services of Scheming Behemoth.
  • Agent 69 joins AAA.
  • Phillip Cooper rejoins 21CW.

Title Changes:

  • Kit Hatoyama wins the 5SSW All Asian title for the first time, defeating Raku Makuda.
  • Akinori Kwakami is now a 4 time PGHW Historical Japan champion.
  • Merle O’Curle regains the ROF Championship from British Samurai.
  • Knuckles becomes the inaugural SWF Intercontinental champion,

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Match Rating C</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

A very even match throughout as both competitors went all out to show who was superior. Both men scored rapid falls and after 12 min it stood at 2 falls each. At that time, Rudo Americanos Genio Verde and Cannonball Kid came to the ring. The were quickly followed by the Hijo de Mexico’s Slayyer and Hugo Garrido. The fracas started when Cannonball Kid tripped up Championa Jr following an Irish Whip. Slayyer and Garrido rushed over and a brawl ensued between the four men outside that quickly spilled into the ring. Soon all six men were fighting inside the ring, and the referee, unable to restore order, declared it a no contest.</p><p> </p><p>

<em>Fantastic main event which was made all the more interesting as Championa finally relaxed his ‘never lose’ rules slightly to accept a no contest decision. This adds more credibility to the whole Rudos Americanos-Los Hijos de Mexico feud and the tv audience isn’t automatically programmed to expect Championa wins.</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Championa-1.jpg</span><span>http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Slayyer.jpg</span><span>http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HugoGarrido.jpg</span><span>http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar.jpg</span><span>http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/GenioVerde.jpg</span><span>http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TheCannonballKid-1.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

The brawl between Rudos Americanos and Los Hijos de Mexico continues unabated in the ring until finally the locker room empties of officials and wrestlers to hold these two groups apart. David Mack and Championa break away from their respective corners and clash in the center of the ring, and the show closes on both of them still fighting away.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Rating D+</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Building more heat on what has been the main storyline up to now. The crowd response shows that they are finally fully embracing the modified product, which should only help us as we try and build and sell the characters on tv in the future.</em></p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Overall Show D+ </span></strong></p></div><p></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> rating 0.00 El Canal Del Hombre Dos</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Our debut on television was pretty much everything I could have hoped for and more. We had one of our biggest crowds in months, the matches and promos delivered solidly all night, we had a huge surprise in Los Sickness, and Championa finally didn’t win a match (although he didn’t lose either.) While our ratings were extremely low, that wasn’t unexpected, given our late night slot on a Monday. The important point was to start getting the exposure. If we delivered a good product, the ratings would come. </em></p><p><em>

The only downside was that it was expensive. We obviously went all out for the first ever tv show, but I would need to start scaling back in the future or we could be broke sooner rather than later.</em></p>

Masked Patriot def Sabra Man Jr in 5:36 by two straight falls

Match Rating E+

Patriot continues to show he can compete with a win over Sabra Man Jr in a good match finished with a Patriot Slam.

The Shadow Warriors def Purple & Gold by two falls to one in 7:38 Shadow Warriors make 2nd def of the tag team titles

Match Rating E-

Below average match that shows the tag division is still not where I would like it to be. After losing the first fall, the Shadow Warriors come back to win the last two falls, with the final one coming after a Silver Shocker by Daniel Cano on El Toro de Oro.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Magdalena.jpg w/ http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/ElBestiaPurpura.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/ElToroDeOro.jpg

Magdalena, disgusted by yet another loss from her team, berates them publicy and loudly that they had better shape up and start winning matches or she will cast them aside and find a team that can!

Rating D-

Fairly decent segment that helps set up something down the road.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanBeast.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/EnriqueMerino.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TijuanaVampire.jpg

Mexican Beast is backstage getting a drink at the concession table when he is abrupty knocked through the table by Enrique Merino & Tijuana Vampire, Los Sickness! They continue the relentess assault until....

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/BoogerMan.jpg

a chair wielding masked luchador drives them off! After a couple wild swings from the mysterious masked luchador, Los Sickness quickly retreats but vows they will destroy Masked Beast and this mystery man later tonight!

Rating D-

It seems Mexican Beast wasn’t bluffing about having backup, although with the generic luchador outfit, who it may be is still a mystery.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/GenioVerde.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TheCannonballKid-1.jpg

The Rudos Americanos, David Mack, Genio Verde & Cannonball Kid state “ Because you people in this backwater country are still too ignorant to understand the fact that America is superior in every way possible, once again we are going to destroy your wrestling heroes. Your ‘Sons of Mexico’ are going to be defeated and demolished yet again to show that they are inferior to us, true American patriots!”

Rating D+

As usual we draw a lot of heat from the Mexican crowd.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Championa-1.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Slayyer.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HugoGarrido.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/GenioVerde.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TheCannonballKid-1.jpg

Sons of Mexico def Rudos Americanos in 9:42 , two falls to one when Championa Jr gets the deciding fall on Cannonball Kid with a flying Cross body.

Match Rating D

A good match, but once again Cannonball Kid is not at his best, and I am starting to have a problem with his lack of consistency. Championa’s willingness to job proves short lived as he was unwilling to accept anything less than victory again.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/EnriqueMerino.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TijuanaVampire.jpg

A video airs showing the path of destruction Los Sickness has wrought through SOTBPW the last few years, including their memorable Spike Piledriver that started the La Alianza del Terror stable.

Rating D

Nice package to highlight our newest additions and show them as a very dangerous pair.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanBeast.jpg

Mexican Beast comes out and says that he has faced La Alianza del Terror before and that he also has allies. Some eerie funeral music plays and then as the lights darken, smoke comes from the entrance way....

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanGhoul.jpg

A masked man walks out of the smoke, and as the lights go up it is revealed to be Mexican Ghoul!!! Mexican Beast has called on his Las Pesadillas partner to help continue the fight against Los Sickness in MHW!

Rating D

The third and final of our major additions is finally introduced officially as Mexican Ghoul is unveiled to a good reaction.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanBeast.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanGhoul.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/EnriqueMerino.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TijuanaVampire.jpg

Los Sickness def Las Pesadillas in 12:59 by two falls to one after Enrique Merino def Mexican Beast with a Virus Infection after Verdugo Estupendo interferes

Match Rating D-

Unfortunately the match doesn’t quite live up to the hype as it is only a decent match, and not the quality main event I was hoping for. La Alianza del Terror’s enforcer Verdugo Estupendo is the deciding factor as Los Sickness are successful over their enemies in their in ring debut.

Overall Show D-

Our second show had another big surprise, but the match quality didn’t quite match our first effort, and thus this was only an everage show over all. It will still get us exposure in the rest of Mexico, but doesn’t help much at home.

OOC: Thanks to Reaper for the title belt renders :)

From the MHW Website

Last week MHW Extremo!! was once again full of surprise as Mexican Beast unveiled his ally against Los Sickness as being his Las Pesadillas partner, Mexican Ghoul! But that wasn’t enough to foil the in ring debut of Los Sickness as La Alianza del Terror played the numbers game and employed their enforcer Verdugo Estupendo to ensure victory. Also the Sons of Mexico were able to triumph over the Rudos Americanos in their latest encounter, although that war is far from over.

This week, Los Sickness and Las Pesadillas will square off in singles encounters , with Verdugo Estupendo banned from ringside. Also in action, the Sons of Mexico Slayyer & Hugo Garrido will take on the new tag team Los Asesinos. So come watch MHW Extremo!!

Pre Show:

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/JackAvatar.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Nomad_alt1.jpg

David Mack def Nomad in 6:27 via pinfall with a Future Shock.

Match Rating D

Good match as Nomad impresses despite not being used much. He has kept his word and been available for every show despite his contract with CGC.

Main Show:

A video package airs showing highlights of some of the many battles and victories the MHW Global Champion has had over the last several months as Championa Jr is spotlighted.

Rating C-

Blatant attempt to kick things off well following last weeks less than stellar offering. While not a team player, our owner does remain the most popular member of our roster.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Slayyer.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/HugoGarrido.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/AsesinoDeLaEspada.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/AsesinoDelHacha.jpg

Sons of Mexico def Los Asesinos in 5:31 by two straight falls.

Match Rating E

Extended squash match designed to show the Sons of Mexico team as dominant and set them up as the new tag title contenders.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanGhoul.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanBeast.jpg

Mexican Ghoul and Mexican Beast are backstage and Beast states that he has fought La Alianza del Terror for a long time elsewhere in Mexico, and that he is not about to let them establish a foothold here in MHW! To that end , he has called in the one person he knows he can trust above all others, a man who has stood by his side also fighting La Alianza, Mexican Ghoul! Ghoul then says that together Las Pesadillas will drive Los Sickness out of MHW and that they will defeat La Alianza del Terror!

Rating D-

Building the La Alianza del Terror invasion storyline. I admit I am not above ripping off the biggest feud in Mexico for the last few years for my own ends.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/EnriqueMerino.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TijuanaVampire.jpg

Los Sickness respond saying that Mexican Ghoul and Beast had been futilely fighting against La Alianza in SOTBPW for years, and have failed every time. It will not be any different in MHW. Tijuana Vampire claims that Los Sickness are the harbingers of a new age in Mexican wrestling, an age controlled and dominated by La Alianza del Terror and that if you are foolish enough to stand in the way, you will be destroyed!

Rating D

Decent hype so far. Lets hope the individual matches live up to it, unlike last week’s tag match.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanBeast.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/EnriqueMerino.jpg

Mexican Beast def Enrique Merino in 12:57 two falls to one.

Match Rating D

Decent match, and a very close one as without interference, Mexican Beast is able to grab the victory.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanGhoul.jpg vs http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TijuanaVampire.jpg

Tijuana Vampire def Mexican Ghoul in 12:58 by two straight falls.

Match Rating D-

Not quite at the same level as the previous match, as Vampire has less trouble putting away his opponent.

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/EnriqueMerino.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/VerdugoEstupendo_alt.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/TijuanaVampire.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanGhoul.jpghttp://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/MexicanBeast.jpg

After the match is over, Enrique Merino and Verdugo Estupendo run to the ring and join Tijuana Vampire in a 3 on 1 assault of Mexican Ghoul. Mexican Beast quickly rushes to the aid of his partner, but the numbers are against them and soon both men are being pummeled in the ring until…..

http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n329/Dragonmack/Championa-1.jpg

Championa Jr rushes to the ring with a chair!! The Global Champion slams the chair across the back of Verdugo Estupendo, driving him to the floor outside the ring! Championa Jr then winds up and takes a big swing at Enrique Merino, who barely ducks in time. He and Tijuana Vampire quickly roll out of the ring as Championa Jr fends them off while Las Pesadillas rise and flank the Global Champion. The three men yell at Los Sickness and Verdugo Estupendo to come into the ring and fight them fairly, but La Alianza del Terror slowly back down the entry way , stating that they will deal with the men in the ring on their own terms.

Rating D

Good closing segment to add a new element to the storyline and set up one of our big matches for the main show this month.

Overall Show D

Not as good as the first week, but better than last week. Costs wise we need to pare these shows down somewhat so probably only a few of the main stars are going to be featured each week, otherwise we will be broke sooner rather than later, and I will be out of a job.

From the MHW Website,

September has been a momentous month in the short history of MHW. It has seen the birth of our first television broadcasts, MHW Extremo!! , and also has seen the surprise additions of Los Sickness and Mexican Ghoul to our roster. But along with the newcomers also comes their war as La Alianza del Terror has declared they are taking over MHW and Mexican Wrestling. Now , at MHW Sangre Feud, this war comes to a head as La Alianza del Terror faces off against their rivals Las Pesadillas and the MHW Global Champion , Championa Jr.

Don’t miss this titanic clash that could decide the fate of MHW!!!

Action in the tag team division is heating up and these two teams are looking to position themselves as title contenders. While the Rudos Americanos share common ideals, they do not have the history together the Asesinos do, who are also motivated to make their mark as the new arrivals. Which team will climb up the ladder of contention?

Las Pesadillas and Championa Jr vs. Los Sickness and Verdugo Estupendo

Los Sickness came to MHW as the heralds of La Alianza del Terror and have quickly employed their enforcer , Verdugo Estupendo, to sow terror and destruction in their wake. But Las Pesadillas, who have long stood against La Alianza, have taken up the mantle to defend MHW against their tyranny and have been joined by the Global Champion himself, Championa Jr in their battle. Can Las Pesadillas and Championa Jr hold off the onslaught of La Alianza del Terror, or will Los Sickness fulfill their prophecy of domination?

Verde retains

Even though the Shadow Warriors haven't been great as champions, I have a feeling they will retain here, hopefully going up against a different team will bring that something extra out of them

I'm hoping I'm wrong and that Los Sickness are over enough but Creativo Controllo Jr may come into effect here.
