Olback
http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/5846/icwpoffo2.jpg My first attempt at a diary so please be patient with me as I mess around with formatting etc. I am hoping to write this diary to not only boost my enjoyment of the game, but also to encourage me to play longer. I choose International Championship Wrestling on DOTT as I wanted a challenge and there are few other DOTT diaries. I will also be focusing on the financial side of the game as I feel this is lacking from other diaries. I am playing with the standard DOTT database , but there are no promotional pacts and I have made a few small changes such as giving Hulk Hogan a steroid problem etc

BHK1978
Thanks for posting praise. No he is with WWF, teaming with Rocky Johnson as Soul Patrol Yeah I am an idiot! I was thinking of the promotion that was in the Northeast in the 1990's it was ICW and then became the IWCCW. That being said I will still be reading because the roster sound interesting. Olback
BTW, anyone good at formatting posts? How do i align the images so they are all on the same line and not so spaced about? Currently i am using the aign left/centre/right fields that you use for text Please let me know. Seems to be fixed, thanks Old School ICW Superstars Quick Picks I will do quick picks before each TV and end of month show. The winner at the end of each period will get to help decide who they wish to push in ICW or suggest a hiring. Ratamyas vs George Weingeroff (sorry no pics of them ) Ratamyas is on a rampage at the moment can he be stopped by one half of the former tag team champions George Weingeroff? Crusher Bloomfield vs Jim Gibson http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/1197/onemangang.jpg Crusher is big and mean but Jim Gibson is cunning and a great wrestler. Can Gibson out smart Crusher or will Crusher crush him into the ground. Brad Battan vs Thunderbolt Patterson http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/4923/bradbattan.jpghttp://img39.imageshack.us/img39/281/thunderboltpatterson.jpg Thunderbolt is a fan favourite but has not been winning much later. Brad Battan is trying to make a name for himself in ICW and what better way then to beat a local legend. Brad might not be a match by himself but with his brother Bart in the picture who knows. ICW Heavyweight Title match http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/8448/generic6g.jpg Randy Savage© vs Ronnie Garvin http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/8384/randysavage.jpghttp://img188.imageshack.us/img188/7792/ronniegarvin.jpg What a main event. 2 old enemies squaring off, for another time. Can Garvin finally get the better of Savage or will Savage once again win out and retaing his Heavyweight title.

And I think I may be the only other writer currently using a DOTT mod... You got your work cut out for you with ICW Thanks for the help. Yeah i know it will be tought, but i like a challenge and was a kid i was huge Randy Savage fan. Mainly when he was a good guy in WWF but also as a bad guy. I remember his feud with Ultimate Warrior when he interefered in his match vs Sgt.Slaughter at Royal Rumble one year and caused Slaughter to win the title. BHK1978
Okay I picked the guys who I know to win. Well except the first match as I have never heard of either one of them. Oldschool
Got to support my fellow DOTT'er Weingeroff beats Ratamyas I've heard of Weingeroff, so thats why Crusher Bloomfield beats Jim Gibson I'm a big fan of the future OMG! Thunderbolt Patterson beats Brad Battan... I'd keep the Battans around, not a bad tag team to open some shows with.. Thunderbolt is one of your few top draws Randy Savage beats Ronnie Garvin; Somethings gonna have to happen to hype your big drawing match here... I say Garvin by DQ
Moderndaywarrior
I was a big Savage fan when he first came on the WWF scene... Hiding behind Elizabeth... The robes, the pomp & Circumstance, the quickness he had before he began bulking up... Loved his run as IC champ... When Savage first came and was REALLY good he still alot of "Memphis" in him,he played it like the classic "Cowardly southern heel" and it worked, both because it was something not really seen on the big stage amd because Save was just so talented;I feel this period is his best, before he bulked up just way too much. Great idea for a diary, you picked a very different promotion to go with, but one that I feel can go places if you can shake the "outlaw" status. As long you are at war with CWA,there will be problems....still remember the number 1 rule of ICW while you are at war with Memphis: Make fun of the CWA at every opportunity on TV. Anyway on to my picks: Ratyamas vs. George Weingeroff Weingeroff has some talent and unlike much of your talented workers, is still young enough to go for a while,so he needs a push....still Ratyamas could work if used right but right now he's in limbo, maybe a stable with Vines/Sword/Slapowitz,who IIRC are doing a "Satanic" type gimmick?Would segue beautifully into a Kevin Sullivan "Army of Darkness" appearance,if you could straighten your relationships and land him for a bit. Crusher Bloomfield vs. Jim Gibson Crusher has a great look, good potential, and is young enough to really go...Gibson,not so much....747 for the win! Brad Battan vs. Thunderbolt Patterson Old "T-Bolt" can still get it done so I pick him;IRL the Battan brothers would develop into a decent(but not spectacular) tag team in a few years but right now they need to get experience and develop Randy Savage vs. Ronnie Garvin Garvin is definitely good.....but Savage is great, the boss's son,AND you have to keep his momentum going for an owner goal, that makes me say it's Savage with the cheap win here to set up a program

Moderndaywarrior
I like what you did with the roster here: ICW kind of has to be a cheapskate with its signings due to finances, but you found some decent value: Magnum has tons of potential(as long as you keep away from sports cars),Arn and Dean can wrestle and with Arn you're getting some exposure thanks to GCW.La Parka should be cool, as the Lucha style is unkown in the U.S.A.;Bundy just cries for a tag team with Crusher and Jimmy Hart is probably the hottest manager in the south at this time. St.John and Big Red are good cheap investments to feed to your top guys;Hunter can be useful since his popularity will let you give the rub to your rising guys. For my picks I go with: Lanny Poffo - more potential, boss's son,and he needs momentum for an owner goal. Arn Anderson - We know he's the man, plus he's coming in already with Hart. Battle Royal- Oh boy,I guess I'll go with Pez Whatley, seems like a good pick for a TV champ since he has some skillsmad he's had success in ICW in the past....Weingeroff already has a belt,La Parka is probably too new for that sort of push yet,the rest,IMO are job fodder. BHK1978
You signed Arn Anderson (one of my favorite wrestlers of all time), Dean Malenko, Bundy, The Mouth of the South, Magnum T.A, and La Parka (I did not realize that he was around back then) I just have one word for all this....awsome! Man was I lucky with the picks! The only logical pick I had was the Savage vs Garvin match. Because just like Moderndaywarrior said you have to push the son of the boss. As for the next show: Ratamyas vs Lanny Poffo Once again he is the owners son so there is a good chance he will win. And also, I have heard of the Genius and I still do not know who the heck Ratmayas is! Arn Anderson vs Rick Hunter As stated above Arn Anderson is second to Sting as my all time favorite wrester so I have to go with him. Battle Royal: I might as well go with Pistol Pez. No really good reasons other then the reasons Moderndaywarrior gave as they all seem to be logical reasons for him to win.

Oldschool
Arn, Magnum, Hart and Bundy are all great young talents, with potential to carry your organization... I would have kept the Battens around to develope into babyface tag openers but oh well... Poffo beats Ratymas because Poffo is already a star here Arn beats Hunter, because Hunter givews you good skill to help develope a young AA I'll go with Big Red as the winner of the battle royal... He has some charisma but limited potential, but could be a guy that you use to put over other big guys because of his size

I would have kept the Battens around to develope into babyface tag openers but oh well... That's what I was thinking,I mean they definitely won't be the next Road Warriors (they'd be lucky to be the next Men On a Mission),I think they would have worked just to keep the tag division vibrant and feed wins to heel teams you plan to push (kind of a S.D.Jones of the tag divsion,if you wheeel...). Man,I missed the part about the tag belts being vacant Still,I stick with Whatley since he has,IMO, better potential than everyone else in the BR but La Parka.
