I like the way it is written as it is not to simple but it is not that wordy either. I do like the new thing of explaining why you did what you did. BigPapa does that for his SWF diary and to me it seems to enhance the reading of the diary.

Thanks fo the positive feedback and glad you are enjoying the diary.

TV Title

Koko © vs Pez Whatley

Well I have changed my tune now that Koko has won the title. He will beat Pistol Pez because he just won the title and can not lose it that quickly.

Tag Title

Malenkos © vs Midnight Express vs Samoans

I would go with the Midnight Express but they are still new and the Samoans seem to be more of a jobber tag team.

Ratamyas vs Lanny Poffo

The whole owners son deal with this match.

Arn Anderson v Rick Hunter

Have to go with AA because this is the last match in the feud and the more over guy has to win.

Steel Cage match for ICW Heavyweight Title

Randy Savage © vs Ronnie Garvin

I will go with Savage and not because of the owner's son thing but because I think that Savage is the right man to hold the title.

Koko Ware vs. Pez Whatley

Pez may get the belt back eventually, but not for a little while at least...besides,Koko is a good pick for champ on the bottom of the card,he usually gives a good performance.

Malenkos vs. Midnight Express vs. The Samoans

It's a risky pick with TME still having that new team smell;I still think they are your go to guys for the tag division, esp. if there is any chance at all of a ME/RnR feud.

Ratamyas vs. Lanny Poffo

Ratamyas is pretty much a jobber with a gimmick here;Lanny wins to help you with your owner goals.....at least if you HAVE to give a big push someone other than Savage, he's an decent pick.

Arn Anderson vs. Rick Hunter

Like BHK says, you want the more marketable guy to win the rubber match, and of those two AA is definiterly that guy.

Randy Savage vs. Ronnie Garvin

Like BHK says, not only is Savage an owner goal,he's also by far your most talented guy and the right pick for champ...IMO the real question is does Bundy help Savage get the win or does he just come in for the post match beatdown after Savage wins it clean?

Quick Picks:

TV Title

Koko © vs Pez Whatley

Birdman retains title in first defense

Tag Title

Malenkos © vs Midnight Express vs Samoans

Midnight Express should rise to the top of the tag team ranks in no time and set up feud with the Gibson brothers

Ratamyas vs Lanny Poffo

Ratamyas was a monster in ICW and his feud with Randy Savage was not for the weak of heart. Though a battle of the Poffo brothers may be in the cards, Ratamyas needs to finally make a statement. Lanny can stay strong and come back another day.

Arn Anderson v Rick Hunter

Double A all the way

Steel Cage match for ICW Heavyweight Title

Randy Savage © vs Ronnie Garvin

Randy Savage always beats Garvin when the strap is on the line. These two headlined cards for years in the area.

This is one of the territories I grew up watching and am enjoying the new twists you are bringing to it. Originally, Crusher Broomfield's contract was owned by Savage (for paying his sister's medical bills if memory serves) so the mild mannered country bumpkin was forced to cripple for Savage until Garvin won it. Ratamyas was hyped for weeks during late night movies by Ox Baker (not something easily replicated in the game).

Looking forward to seeing who else you can build up to challenge Savage (Gibson?) and keep Garvin fresh!!!

the "mother's farm" angle was actually in Knoxville with another CB - Crusher Blackwell. Even though this was pretty much a blatant rip-off in ICW, they did switch it a little (not sure if ICW used the Canadian Bumblebee gimmick).

BTW, it's cool that the Midnight Express have joined the league since their theme music was also used as the theme for the ICW Tv Show.

They brought Ratamyas in as a total monster and claimed he was the only man to defeat The Sheik in a cage match, his first appearance they did one of those "invasion" type angles where Ratamyas just sort of crashed the show and started beating people up,the promoter came out and they got into it.Ratamyas rolled over everyone and it set up a big cage match between Ratamyas and Savage, which Ratamyas won with his Devil's Triangle......IIRC,it was a Camel Clutch.

The original "Garvin stomps Malenko's teeth" from SECW in the 70's I have seen, the Ox Baker ICW version I have only even seen the actual denture stomping part,I'd like to see the rest of that feud if it still exists on tape somewhere.

You are right, ICW's "bump music" was "The Chase" from the movie "The Midnight Express",the same music used by Eaton and Condrey,so I guess they make a good fit in ICW,they should really help as they'll bolster the tag division, plus both guys can work so they should generate some decent rated matches.

Don't sweat the loss of the TV show too much.....pretty much every iteration of the data I ran in testing ICW loses their TV fairly quick, despite the quality of the shows they put on,they just can't ever seem to draw viewer numbers.

Good job turning a profit with them though, that's more than "The Miser" could say.:)

I agree, that is a tough thing to do for a small promotion.

Why did you decide on the Bobby Eaton/Dennis Condrey version of the Express? Why not the Condrey/Rose version? I mean I guess you are either a Bobby Eaton mark like me or you just felt that Eaton and Condrey were the better combo.

Malenkos vs Gibson Brothers

I will go with the Malenkos because they just lost and they need a win back.

Crusher w/ Jimmy Hart vs Lanny Poffo

I think that Lanny can afford to lose one match.

#1 Contender Match for ICW Heavyweight Title Match

Ladder Match

Arn Anderson w/ Jimmy Hart vs Ratamyas vs Ronnie Garvin vs Rick Hunter

With Ronnie Garvin's feud with Savage done for now I think Rick will win this match. The reason is because he is a fan favorite and AA and Ratamyas are both heels, Savage is a heel as well thus to me it makes sense that Rick would pick up the win here.

TV Title

Koko© vs Col.Yanky

Koko has to win against Col. Yanky no ifs ands or buts about it.

Bundy vs Great Tio

What I just wrote about Koko applies with Bundy as well. And plus I have never heard of Great Tio before I started to read your diary.

Thanks for the positive feedback. Not too stress about losing my TV deal, just a shame as it was a good source of cash ($20,000 per month) and allowed me build feuds a bit more easily. Now i feel like i have to push feuds along quicker as people want a good quality main event ever show.

I am hoping to do 2 shows a month (finance pending) and hoping to get regional at some point :)

Went with the Eaton/Condrey version as i could not sign Rose and so those 2 were a better fit.

Same reason why it is the Gibson brothers instead of Rock and Roll Express. Only one of them i could afford to sign.

Good to see you moving in the right direction overall.....you have brought in good young talents and I think I see the direction you are moving in,using the established guys to give the rub to your young bucks, thus building your roster for the future. It will take a while, but I can see an upgrade to regional coming (as ICW starts off pretty close to regional level).....once that happens you can probably run some more shows(most likely 4 a month, which will be your schedule for many a moon as you build towards Cult, which IMO is the first level at which a TV deal becomes feasible in TEW)</p>

This era was just a little bit before I started to watch wrestling (I started watching wrestling between Wrestlemania II and III and even then I only watched WWF and around 1989 or so I started to watch NWA) so I do not know some of these guys. I think that is why I enjoy this diary because I get to read about people I never saw.

<p>Malenkos vs <strong>Gibson Brothers</strong></p><p>

Ricky Gibson can be built up as a serious challenger to Savage, but for now giving his little brother the 'rub'. He had some good matches against King Lawler in Memphis. He was a TN Hall of famer. Gibsons vs Midnights seems like a natural build at some point when the teams are established. Malenkos are making good "star makers" -they can get their wins against other teams not heading for the top of the card.</p><p> </p><p>

Crusher w/ Jimmy Hart vs<strong><strong> Lanny Poffo</strong></strong></p><p>

Poffo builds on the momentum he had in Ratymayus feud by taking down another big man. Prolly COR / DQ in the first match here and Crusher (on orders from Hart) gets a post match beat down to set up a grudge match (or tag match with whoever runs in to make the save)</p><p> </p><p>

#1 Contender Match for ICW Heavyweight Title Match</p><p>

Ladder Match</p><p>

<strong>Arn Anderson</strong> w/ Jimmy Hart vs Ratamyas vs Ronnie Garvin vs Rick Hunter</p><p>

Back in the day Savage took all on comers, heel or face, it didn't matter. So I'll go out on a limb and predict a swerve or sorts. <strong>Arn</strong> has the most momentum and sets up an interesting angle for the Champ's corner (see below). Meanwhile Hunter or Garvin gets "hurt" by the monster Ratamyas and the other starts begins a feud with the big guy to avenge his friend (who can start working his way back to health and be ready to pick up his own feud against Ratamyas next month. So everyone gets something out of this match</p><p> </p><p>

TV Title</p><p>

<strong>Koko© </strong>vs Col.Yanky</p><p>

Koko keeps the belt in the bird cage once again in match vs the North Vietnam Colonel</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Bundy</strong> vs Great Tio</p><p>

another Bundy squash. Does Bundy have a partner so he can return the favor in a tag match against the Samoans?</p><p> </p><p>

Savage w/ Bundy with winner of #1 contender match</p><p>

this is where if Arn does win that I can see Randy trying to talk his good friend out of the match. "Freak out!! Congrats to Arn for winning and so glad I'm going to get the month off from defending the title, oh yeah" Of course Arn is not going to be so accomodating.</p><p> </p><p>

Keep making those profits!!</p>
